Third time's the charm right! Wrong! I'm going to skip the explanations of my first two foul experiences of this shoppers location and get right to the last. (Would take too long) Just went in and had to wait at the Canada Post counter, while a kid that probably shouldn't be doing this job kept messing up. Spent more time apologizing to his customer and trying to wright a perceived social injustice than actually doing his job. So I go in to pickup an age restricted item. (I'm 44 not 18 and tried to display my health card) I told the guy my blood sugar had rocketed high and I was trying to get home to take insulin (as he started up about proper ID. I explained that it was just for a tobacco item and pointed out that Canada Post even had "proof of age" written on the slip, as he tried to get all Symantec. It's good enough to pick up my Hydromorphone 10 feet away. So even as I had pulled out my falling apart birth certificate and he had looked at it. This kid tried to lecture me about ID and attitude (hadn't I already stated I was in a rush because my blood sugar was high! I also did this because it affects mood). In the end I was so fed up, I even had to reiterate to the boy that I had asked him "PLEASE" can you get my parcel a total of "Five times" before he was even willing to get it instead of trying to right some social injustice! (Diabetic persons in crisis can't wait like that) My opinion and decision. I don't believe this guy should be in charge of moving money for people.(thank goodness for the woman in front of me, that she caught the mistake made by the CP employee right at the end) I don't believe he should be in charge of critical mail(maybe he can't read or correlate because he's a stoner) ....who knows! The other option is worse as far as I'm concerned! At the end I had had such a bad experience with his attitude and incompetence that I told someone for the first time ever that he was incompetent! His response was "you must act like this with everyone!"...... Say what!!!! Rude, Ignorant, Incompetent .... There's more but I'll leave it at that! This shoppers is a far cry from the shoppers in Richmond Hill, where it seemed important to have a standard. Even the cosmetics woman had her mask partially off her face.(further lack of standard) Already looking for a new pharmacy and postal outlet. (Unbelievable) When you have no faith, what do you do.... right! And like I said, this was the third awful experience (just pointing out that I did not say or act negative the first two times). I figured that my issue was just a change of venue personal problem. That is now also highly doubtful because I can list the issues. I am now under the complete belief that the operation standard of this shoppers is far below standard. The owner should be livid that a customer had to deal with this level of incompetence in his establishment. Or maybe his attitude is the lead problem! It only takes a few bad apples to spoil the bunch!! Anyone else notice that the cans of pop and bottles have a strange mildew smell!

Last week my 5 month old had a large amount of redness on the back of her legs. We had an appointment with our Doctor over the phone and they would put a prescription through as it looked infected. Unfortunately there was an error and Shoppers never received it (not their fault). They said they would fax the doctors office for the morning as a reminder to them and advised us to call them in the morning as well. A couple hours past and our baby was very uncomfortable and no way to contact the office so we called the Pharmacist back and she said she could help us with an over the counter item. My wife headed back over and they where quick to help and get us set up mixing 2 creams together that have worked amazing and cleared our baby's legs right up from this infection. I read some of these comments about them being rude and not helpful and I have yet to have a negative interaction with anyone at this location and it has been the complete opposite. We have been dealing with the location for 2 years now and can't say anything but good things.

hmmm, its interesting reading some of these reviews with a lot of comments about the staff. Unfortunately I would have to agree. I do fill my prescriptions here and overall the staff are at most just not very forthcoming. No rude interactions if I'm being honest. But I feel like this is a trend at many pharmacies – maybe it's the high volume they're receiving. Maybe it's the time crunch and not being able to spend 5-10 minutes with every patient with questions. I am actually a recently graduated physician myself and perhaps my honest feedback would be just to be more cordial with your clientele. I've never brought this up to the staff and maybe thats why. I shouldn't have to though. Your customers can be health care professionals too. Often you're standing there at the desk just waiting there for minutes staring at them while they don't even acknowledge you're there kinda thing. Otherwise though on a positive note, prescriptions are pretty fast and on time so can't complain. The rest of the store is overall great and well stocked.

The rudest staff It is shame for this shop. I went to buy an eye cream. As I was searching, one of the staff who seemed originally Indian woman, stood on my way, almost prevented me to see the products then after awhile first asked rudly : did you buy anything and when in my shocking, I said why do you ask, she asked to check my backpack. I replied but you can check the camera if you are suspicious rather than aking me rudely.she again rudely answered, but it takes time so we ask customer for checking.I have never seen such a rude, insulting behaviour. Seems they haven't trained at all. Even she was supervisor .Imagine how other staff can be. She even didnt apologized after I allowed check my packpack and I was really furious, but she just stared at me. The worst shop in Hamilton. They dont deserve even one star.

The pharmacist with the short curly black hair (no name tag on or any ID) was extremely rude to myself and another elderly man who was also picking up prescriptions. She was VERY short with the both of us, giving unclear instructions that were demanding. No please or thank you and while dealing with the elderly gentleman she rolled her eyes many times while he was trying to explain his situation. I came up to the counter and had to repeat my name several times , she barked at me the name of my street (not even my full address) and was so rude when I didn’t have any idea what she was asking me or what she needed from me. This girl definitely needs a check in from management about her customer service skills. When people are picking up medications it should be a very professional and kind environment.

Worst pharmacy I have EVER been to. Despite being a client for 8 months they treated me like a criminal when trying to get my mood stabilizers refilled as I was completely out. The sign that says “no need to miss a dose!” Is a complete lie. They called me and told me one thing, then told me I was lying in person, refused to give me enough of my medication to get me through until my Dr. Office opens on Monday, made me contemplate ending my life. Thanks to the pharmacists on duty tonight and yesterday I will NEVER spend another cent at a shoppers drug mart. Useless rude staff. I will do everything in my power to make sure anyone I know will never spend a penny at a Shoppers again. Honestly the pharmacists licence should be pulled. So disappointed and angry. DO NOT GO HERE.

Unfortunately, this is a very poor pharmacy. They are rude and do not apologize for their errors. They made a GIANT error in charging my credit card hundreds of dollars for a prescription that they were to process through my insurance company. The pharmacist insisted that it was my error without even investigating on the initial phone call. I then made several phone calls to check on this. When I called back and insisted it was their mistake and that they didn't bother reading the communication from the company, she then decided to investigate and said that I could come in and they would credit my card. No apology was given on the call or when I came in for them to credit my card. A few years back they had also not given me the appropriate medication.

Id give 2 stars bec store selections are good, and the lady at the make- up and perfumery section is fantastic with people unfortunately, our experience at the check-out counter was too far out with how we were dealt with. The lady who checked us out was probably having a bad day but she must not take it out on customers. I suggest to the owners of this store to do a little refresher course on your employees about providing positive customer experience, we could have just let this pass but boy she was just so rude! This will throw customers off and might not reconsider coming back. This happened 8:20pm, April 4 2022.

THE WORST PHARMACY STAFF, This review should not reflect in any way at other employees JUST THE PHARMACY STAFF Unfriendly Rude Miserable Without any clue to provide customer service and care And if you are colored person like myself expect no service whatsoever they will not even make eye contact with you I'm sad to write this review because this is my neighborhood pharmacy. I came in here today November 15th 2022 for my covid boost it and flu shot, with six staff members in the pharmacy area they took 5 minutes to acknowledge me they were just talking among themselves and giggling while I was waiting around.

  • Dora Bolanos

The staff at the pharmacy lack compassion and customer service. Every single interaction I have had with the staff since Salma left has been rude, condescending and short. Please do not have your prescriptions filled here, you will not have a pleasant experience. Management, please act on the many negative reviews left here and take action, especially those that hint racism, as a woman of color myself and I cannot help but wonder if this is the reason why your staff is so dismissive of me. If you want to speak to me directly please reply to this and I will be happy to give you specifics.

Worst shoppers pharmacy! Long wait times. Called multiple times to ask to have a family members medications put into blister packs they always tell us to callback an other time! After many tries we have switch pharmacies. UPDATE july 16: still incompetent and poorly managed. My family member has now been out of meds for 2 days because they didn’t drop off medication blister packs nor bother to call and tell us there was $6 charge that needed to be paid. Old small pharmacy that wont pay to update space or have enough staff to get things done in a timely manner.

This location is excellent. They have been my pharmacy for a few years now. The services are top notch. They are quick to return calls, quick to send refill requests to my family physician and they are very accommodating. I often read these comments and shake my head. Considering the staff are multi ethnic, the accusations are UNFOUNDED and UNWARRANTED. Using the race card is pathetic and reflects more on the person writing the review. Sorry…not buying it. This is a busy location and I’ve seen the dopes the staff need to deal with. Highly recommended 100%.

I live literally 1 min away from this shoppers. The Shoppers itself is very good usually always clean, stocked up and up to date. However I strongly agree about the super long wait time at the cashier, it gets super frustrating many times where you have to sit in line for way more than you should. Also there is one or two very rude cashiers, they are older ladies. Most of the cashiers are excellent, but a lot are slow as well. The pharmacy always has very inconvenient wait times, even when you fill your prescription by phone ahead of time!!!!

Needed to pick up medication for a sick loved one. Understanding it is a holiday I was glad to see this store was open and even confirmed it by calling. However, I relied on the automated message about the labour day hours but the hours indicated on the automated message wasn’t fulfilled. The labour day hours posted online and on the message is 10 PM. I get to the store at 9:30 PM only to find the store all closed after travelling 20 minutes. Please update your message if it has changed.

I see some negative reviews here about the pharmacy but I have had quite the opposite experience in the last 5 years I’ve been going here. I’ve received such care and compassion from the pharmacist team at this location, especially Salma who is an absolute gem! She is so knowledgeable, attentive, and compassionate. Recently I went through a really rough medical issue and Salma was by the far the most caring and attentive medical professional I saw through the whole ordeal.

Told the lady in cosmetics that I had to really go. Been waiting a long time she says well your almost done. Did offer the washroom or say sorry we don’t have a public one. Cash register computers where all done but one. No the girls fault but the pharmacy ppl did even care or help out with the big line up of ppl. They where not busy… asked for help from the pharmacy the chick said of row 3 and left me to try to find the product… did not find it. Not impressed at all.

Whats wrong with this location and why is it full of extremely rude and unprofessional staff.? My experience was disappointing due to the unprofessional behavior of one staff member named Alyssa. Her communication was abrupt and disrespectful. Moreover, my order was mishandled, and not once did she offer an apology for the inconvenience caused. I WILL Definitely avoid going to this location in future.

  • Dani

what an absolutely HORRIBLE experience, the staff are beyond RUDE and horrifyingly disgusting with their customers. I’ve never been more offended than when employee told me “Never come back, we are no longer going to fill your prescription” because i called asking if i can come to pickup said medication. Never coming back to this drug mart. What void of Humanity, this staff harbours. disgusting.

I purchased a faulty pack of bandaids. It’s a small deal, I know. But when you need them to be functional in an emergency it is important. Since these particular bandaids only come in a 4 pack when I opened two of them that were unusable it was unacceptable . I had no receipt so I wasn’t sure what I could do. Ada solved my problem, in the blink of an eye, with a smile. Thank you.

The store is one of the worst shoppers out there in terms of stock, and a lot of the isles are very poorly organized. Make sure you check your eggs first, never seen so many broken as I do here! Sometimes there is no one at the checkout so be prepared to self checkout. The pharmacists are awesome though, very helpful and knowledgeable, and prescriptions are filled with quickly.

  • Avril Schatz

I go here for my medication but I strongly recommend going somewhere else. Some of the pharmacy staff are not understanding, yell at you, do not listen, and are quick to anger. They also mess up my prescription almost every time I go to fill it. If you are able, find another pharmacy that has more understanding and friendly staff! :)

This review is for the Pharmacy- in no way related to the other areas that are much better!! Have you been asked by a pharmacist what did your doctor prescribed for you? Did you doctor tell you the dosage? These were the questions that I was asked by lady pharmacist on duty who was busily talking on phone when being approached!!!

  • Katherine M

I find the majority of the staff to be very rude. Only positive experiences tend to be with the younger cashiers - the older ladies are absolutely miserable. Incredibly slow service all the time as well (especially at the Post Office). I try to go Sobeys or the Shoppers up the street on Mohawk instead to avoid this place.

  • Alex McCade

Rude Rude Rude. What horrible staff you have. Everyone should read the other reviews on here and go to a different location if you need something. Only good thing is their location but I will drive elsewhere when I need something going forward. Lots of options nowadays! Look elsewhere for your purchases!

  • Sheyla Martins

The worse customer service this lady SHOUDL he fired, she literally yelled at me in front of customer abs started talking horrible to me to the point that other people felt so bad. The worse experiences in customer service she should be fired after being so rude and obnoxious to customers.

  • Curly Fry

We ate at Swiss Chalet for lunch this week. The waitress Sheri was awesome!! It was one of the best experiences I have had, starting with pleasant hello to the follow up to make sure everything was good. If more servers were as good as Sheri we would experience SwissChalet more often

  • Marie Ko

The worst Shoppers I've been to. They don't open on time. Unreliable Canada Post service, everything is out of stock, the list goes on and on. 1 star because some of the cashiers are friendly, other than that, this place is a hot mess.

  • Karen McPhee

Most Pharmacy staff are friendly, but had an interaction with a pharmacist last night by the name of Monica and it was awful. I will be switching pharmacies. She was rude, dismissive, and not very empathetic. .

  • Angela Laura Bianco

I've been picking up my medications at this shoppers drug mart weekly for the last couple years. Great pharmacy, amazing helpful and kind staff members also. Thank you.
