This location was open twenty four hours a day until a short while ago. Unfortunately when the hours changed it seems the standards also did. I have been coming here for many years for a number of prescription medications for my family members and myself. One day I saw this pharmacy had attempted to call me. They had not left a message however. I simply assumed that it was too ask me go and collect the prescription refill I had requested two day previously. When I called them out turned out that it was actually to tell me they could not fill my prescription entirely. After some panicking their end they said they could obtain enough for two days of the thirty. When I went to collect the medicine I had to wait for them to find it because they did not believe they had any to begin with. Then they had to put it in the correct containers. They then printed receipts that had the date of the previous date on them. I was informed I may be able to get the outstanding amount within the next two days. The very next morning I was left a message (a step in the right direction) to say the rest of the tablets were available. When I arrived I had to wait again as they prepared them all, even though I had informed them I would be on my way immediately over an hour previously. There is one pharmacist here who is extremely helpful. She listens to what ails you, helps, and when she can makes suggestions that may improve the situation. It is because of her that there is the solitary star. I feel sorry for her because she seems to be surrounded by an increasing tide of ineptitude though.

I found out today from my NEW pharmacy that the name brand version of my prescription is free through Manitoba health, yet they had been selling me the generic version. I don't know if pharmacies make money off of this, I don't really care if they do, but being a business that helps people live and be healthy I'd expect a little more. There was one time I came here and (though not their fault) I was told my benefits were suspended. Sorry, actually, I was sarcastically told by the tall brunette at the that i "don't HAVE any benefits" and it's my "responsibility and my insurance company won't reimburse me because I should have known better". As someone who has to deal with the public all the time I was pretty disgusted that I got spoken to that way. To the point where I didn't want to go there anymore. The breaking point was when the brunette (same one) told my spouse that "I should probably get a better prescription if I need these as often as I do". They're never stocked up, I order 6 or 12 pills and they call me and say they only have 3. Is it my job to keep track of the balance I PAID FOR? probably not. I literally gave one star for PJ Perez himself. He's awesome. But his staff need to go.

My name is Destiny & I have been dealing with this pharmacy for a couple years on & off. I have not had any issues until tonight. I was having a hard time trying to get myself & my childrens ready to go to shoppers drug mart pharmacy. I do need to go daily. However I called at 11:45pm to let them know I was running late with my kids. I arrived 11:57pm - 12:00am. The owner of the establishment at the pharmacy, “PJ” told me he can’t do anything, as I am “late”. I really feel like I wasn’t given a chance or a option to help myself out as a single mother. I also had to take my children out this late because I had no babysitter but I was still denied. I am very disappointed in this shoppers, because I felt a connection with a lot of the staff. Do you think it’s a bit much to ask to receive my medication even though I showed up the time they lock up? A walking single mother denied medical treatment because I showed up not even a minute late ? Shame on you PJ! Now I will have a horrible night without the medication my doctor prescribed me. I also want you to know , I am considering switching pharmacy’s!

I went with my sister yesterday to get some things and this IndiAn security is so creepy, the whole time he was looking at us was roaming around. Felt so intimated, so we went back todyq because I injured foot so need heel bandages and hair stuff, he was there and he was so creepy to the point every time I looked over he was staring at me and my sister. I get his job is to watch but not only watch females there are many other customers who he should equally watch. I brought this Upto IndiAn cashier and instead of saying she will advise the manager or talk to him about his attitude and creepiness she just said he is just doing his job. Excuse I have been a security guard too I never did my job like him intimating women and creeping them out. As a women she should know better. I will calling to higher manager to about this I have been coming to this shoppers for 12 years and first time felt so intimated to the point gonna never come back without my husband or a male with me. This guy needs to be fired from the site he is hella creepy and disgusting human.

Indian security guard was following me the entire time, even as I switched from the makeup aisle to the hair dye, even right behind me all the way to the exit! Ignored every other shopper picking things up. I picked up 2 things and put them back, which he saw since he followed me. Even said “excuse me!” loudly as I was leaving just to scare me since I was nervous from being obviously followed the entire time. Just to reach for hand sanitizer and say “oh nothing.” I’m somewhat androgynous looking so I felt weird looking at makeup anyway, even though I explained to the assistants it was an xmas present. They were also looking at me weird. Then the thing beeped even though I didn’t take anything, and made to go through ei g h t more times so that didn’t feel good. Still looked at me like trash before anyway so didn’t affect the way they were looking at me anyways. Will not be coming back, even though one customer won’t affect anything. Just disappointed and ruined my evening tbh.

Worst customer service that I have ever experienced in a retailer. There is clearly a lack of training and communication based on the interactions I had with three different employees on July 3rd. Brought my concerns to the attention of an on duty manager and was given the run around and my concerns were never addressed, instead another employee who appeared to be off duty, accosted me while I was trying to have a discussion with the manager. I left in tears due to a panic attack from how the staff treated me, when I was just trying to do a simple transaction with a coupon that I received from Shopper's drug mart directly through email. I also brought this concern up to the customer service line directly, and no one ever reached out to me when I was told someone would be in contact with me. I'm disgusted with how this company treats their customers.

Convinient parking and I always had a good experience with pharmacy. Recently went to buy some fragrances for $19.99. I asked representative if they have testers and she said that they don't have testers for most of those non expensive fragnances( ok,I understand,except they did have for 1/3 of them on the shelfs where are more expensive fragnances,therefore After I checked by myself,I went again to another representative and asked to show me,who was more polite and helpful ). I also asked about one particular parfum if they have testers,so the firts lady grabbed it and quickly walking to the till said that if she opens-i have to buy and started opening. I said that I haven't decided yet if I buy. Shouldn't she ask nicely if I buy and then open. This is not nice approach. I don't feel comfortable to buy again something in this location.

I’m a newcomer to Canada- I’ve been here for 3 months- and I’ve been to Shoppers in Southdale twice and I’m reluctant to visit again. I took my sister-in-law, 18th Aug, to print some pictures of her cousin that just passed and i was followed around by security in the makeup section as she printed the pictures. I felt very uncomfortable so i then waited outside. Today, 7th Sept, i went with my boyfriend to look at the calogne and perfume and as soon as we walked in the security guard stood at the end of the aisle staring at us. My boyfriend then left and i then left straight afterwards. It’s really not a nice experience being watched and assumptions made about you as soon as you walk into somewhere trying to purchase something just like everyone else. Not a good impression of Canada so far...

I had the staff at the pharmacy ask me some seriously personal questions. Things that could put me in danger if someone were to overhear what they were asking me. Very judgmental pharmacy staff. If you have a chronic illness and require medication daily, go elsewhere. They make no effort to fix any problems your prescription might have. And God forbid, if you're on anxiety medication or pain medication, they'll treat you like a criminal. I have never been treated so poorly by a pharmacy in my entire life. And my partner gets their meds from here, despite how awful they treat her as well. She has the same complaints so I'm speaking for both of us. Just don't bother getting your prescriptions filled here. Find another pharmacy. ANY other pharmacy.

Went in at approx mid night the night before my wedding for facial cream/masks. The employee told the security guard right in front of me that he should watch me closely as I look like I could be someone stealing, she then re arranged shelf’s right in front of me and eyeballed me in the store for over 20 minutes. When I got to the checkout with her I told her I heard what she said and she should be ashamed in herself for assuming people are stealing and making my experience terrible the night before my wedding. If they treated me this way I’m sure there are many others, sadly.

Mixed feelings about this pharmacy - the first time I called to confirm a prescription was sent over and ask about an eta they were super helpful! that same day I purchased a small bottle of advil and when I opened it at home I realized it expired in July (3 ish months ago). Not a huge deal to me but I figured they’d want to know they have expired product on their shelves so I tried to call them today. Somehow no one picked up the phone, not in customer service or in pharmacy, so after sitting on hold for 30 minutes I have given up. You win some, you lose some, I guess.

Just showed up to the Shoppers Drug Mart to find out that they are not open until 1pm today. If you give their store a call the automated message states that on Remembrance Day they will be open 24hrs. Generally when you are unsure if a store is open on a holiday you call their store. I find it ridiculous that they aren't honoring the time they stated on their phone. Who knows how far some people drove to get something they may have needed just to find out that the store that declared itself open is in fact not open.

Awful pharmacy service very rude the person in front of me was told he couldn't get his pills because it was busy, this is on a Friday. Then I walked up and was serviced by Jenner was her name major cake face, and a young man with glasses, absolutely no knowledge on their job! Also didn't even end up having my prescription ready and I phone two days ago! Completely unorganized and honestly really "dumb" staff.

Great huge boutique center, to buy for my girlfriend! However, staff there look like they don't enjoy their job(s), I didn't feel that great vibe like at the other Shopper's. The one check-out counter personal seemed to have no manners; like "Please," and even a "Hello," and that goes for some of the other staff members there too. The guy that served me was ok, however.

I went into the beauty boutique on Friday Nov 23rd i had a bunch of points i wanted to spend and i wish i could remember the lady's name but she was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable on the products. i am very impressed how easily she matched my shade of foundation. I highly recommend this store if you are looking for beauty products!

We went in to grab some perfume for my husband and some other cosmetic products for myself. Harbandan was helping my husband and was super helpful and friendly and Angela helped me pick the right items by looking up previous purchases since I couldn't remember the exact items/brands i usually get. Super friendly and amazing service!

I have IBD, Crohn's specifically. I was in need of a washroom and with no public restroom available I asked the assistant manager if I could somehow use the washroom and that it was an emergency. She had to call someone. I couldn't wait any longer so I went to Giant Tiger and also did my shopping there.

The quality was good, and ideal for emergency shops after normal hours, especially on Sundays. Some items were half price so you can actually save money if wise, if some items are a bit more expensive elsewhere in other supermarkets. The selection is limited but the vegetables and fruit were very fresh.

Really didn't enjoy being profiled by your security guard buying makeup as a guy is hard enough but having some one stand there and watch you doesn't make it any easier. Someone should tell your security guard is just cuz of boy is looking at makeup doesn't mean he's planning to steal it..... thanks

Called Thurday Oct 27 at 830 am and was brushed off by the pharmacy seeking advice about where to purchase a rapid test. "I guess people have them somewhere, but not us". So unprofessional. I would be leary of filling a medical prescription with someone so dismissive. She was intolerant from hello.

I would say this is the best Shoppers Drug Mart in the city. It’s spacious, the fragrance section is large, and the selection of various food and non-food items in stock is always plentiful. Organized and clean store, and quiet most of the time which makes for a pleasant shopping experience.

Somehow I managed to forget my medications when packing for my trip to Winnipeg. The pharmacist at the Southdale location went above-and-beyond on a busy Easter Sunday to get my prescriptions faxed over so they could provide the medications I needed for the next few days. Top-notch service!

not get your passport photos here. They are more than anywhere in the city at $22.59. When I asked for a retake because my granddaughter's lip was curled down they refused stating that it wouldn't get rejected. I guess paying too much for a service doesn't mean it will be good service.

I’ve gone in a few times and have had a great customer service experience. Amy, one of the beauty boutique staff, has been very helpful and knowledgeable about products for my skin tone and type. She is able to show products from all price points. Got great stocking stuffers there.

Cashier Simi (East Indian girl) she is the worst cashier i ever met. She doesn't know how to greet your customer. i came there to purchase some regular stuff when she dealt with me at cash counter she showed her arrogance and she made me felt to never come back this place again.

Horrible customer service!! A customer does not go into the store to argue or to be lectured when a customer just wants a mistake a clerk made corrected. All that was needed was a Sorry about that and the error corrected. Simple as that!

Very disappointed. My husband went by to find something for his lunch and picked up pretty made Mac and cheese dish, very yummy , also costs $6. When we open it, it's covered in mold. Today is the 21st and it expired on the 11th

Went in today to look for a lip gloss I have been searching for. The woman at the make up desk was very helpful and friendly. I didn’t leave with the lip gloss but will be back to get it as my parter rushed me out.

I was in the store last minute before closing to buy perfume the cosmetic women who helped me was more then happy to help me get what i needed she was awesome I wish I remembered her name ... …

Keep telling them my family doctor but they keep sending it to my old one this is the second time this has happened and had to go without medication): good squishmellow options tho
