Dr. Simon performed TPLO surgery on my dog Whiskey on 6/11/21. Surgery was performed @ Van Nuys Veterinary Clinic. I am not sure who gets the blame here although I’m inclined to believe it’s our former Vet and his staff. I picked up Whiskey post op around 7 pm and he cried the whole way home and then for the next 5 hours! Clearly the nerve block he was given to help control post op pain either never took or wore off very quickly but the end result was a disturbing amount of pain! This is where it’s difficult to assign blame. Most definitely it was the job of our Vets office where surgery was performed to monitor his post op condition and they failed miserably to do such. I do not know whether Dr. Simon or our Vet Dr. Oh was responsible for the prescribing of pain medicine sent home w/ us (which consisted of only Gabapentin & Rimadyl) but his post op course was MISERY!!! Those two meds would only suffice in the setting of a working nerve block which he clearly didn’t have. How do I know this? His degree of pain primarily and I’m a PACU RN w/ 31 years experience and also an orthopedic surgery veteran myself (both hips replaced & shoulder fracture repair, all w/ nerve blocks). We also did not have the benefit of some of the standard post op protocol mentioned on the website (cold therapy & physical therapy) presumably because of where the surgery was performed and follow up visits commenced. I was initially reluctant to post a review here because the responsibility of his outcome is wishy washy given two different entities involved. I decided to for two reasons 1) offer praise for the fact that his ultimate surgical outcome was good & 2) because the surgeon does bare some responsibility in choosing the places she will perform surgery based on how her patients get treated. And actually the ultimate deciding factor was reading how this office responded to the few critical reviews- so unbelievably unprofessional I’m still in shock over reading them. In totality I no longer take Whiskey to that Vet and if he needed another surgery I’d be asking a lot more Q’s 1st. He’s actually partially torn the tendon on his other leg which is common and I’ve gone out of my way to avoid surgery because this experience was so traumatic. So far he’s doing well although he does periodically re-injure this tendon but it’ll be a cold day in hell before I put him through that experience again. Anyone reading this should know to ask about your options on where the surgery will take place and WHO is responsible for making sure your pet is OK post op. I never met Dr. Simon in person but did speak to her via phone immediately after Whiskeys surgery. She may be a very fine surgeon but tying that together w/ the overall care of her patients may need some work. Training her staff to respond appropriately to negative reviews definitely warranted.

6 May 2021 - If you need a TPLO for your Pup. STOP!! Look no further!! I did not initially call SVS because they did not have any reviews on Google or Yelp. That was a HUGE MISTAKE! So let me be the 1st. For those that want to get to they point ... Conclusion: They were responsive, quick, efficient, reasonably priced, had excellent customer service and did not require a host of unnecessary steps and routines that would require extra time, money, stress and most importantly pain to my dog. Back story: I am not from LA. I relocated here for work a year ago! So that probably made this whole process a little harder by not already having a pet care network established. Short story: Dog started limping. After a bad ER experience and being told to wait "Its probably just a sprain or soft tissue injury." (Wrote a review!) Found a local vet that could fit us in when Pup started getting worse. They were also great! Dr. G and The Melrose Vet! Review to come. Dr. G. gave us a reasonable diagnosis based on the exam and X-rays. So I spent the next 3 days calling, almost every Vet from San Diego to Bakersfield that mentioned Orthopedic surgery and had over 4 stars on Google. Most wanted $50-350 for an additional consult and x-rays despite us just having them done at The Melrose Vet, a day or two prior. A lot would not give me a price range until I did the consult and the quotes I was able to obtain ranged from $2,400 to $9,000 with varying degrees of pre and post Op care included. The time frames to see us ranged from 4 days to 2 months with surgery being scheduled after the initial consult. SVS got us in the next day (there was a cancellation so not sure if this is always a reasonable turn around). I was told the Vet would review the previous record since they were only a few days old. Exam Pup, if she agreed with the previous diagnosis after her review of the chart and examination she would commence with the surgery. Pup would get released the same day. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED! Pup got dropped off around 8.30am she did a quick exam came to the same conclusion as Dr. G. Reassured me that it was just the one knee (pup started limping on the opposite leg the day prior). Pup was ready for pick up by 1.30pm. With all her meds, supplements and collar in a cute little tote. To Come: I will update this with the Follow up experience but this alone made my day! I have been stressed watchin my pup get worse and fearing it would cost me 5K or more and NUMEROUS trips to the vet to get her right did not help! Thank you Dr. Simon and the Vet Staff you made my 2021. I will never forget the service and care you provided.

First things first I want to thank Dr. Simon for not giving up on our dog and finding out what was wrong with her. Dr. Simon was patient and willing to go the extra mile on finding out what was wrong with Sophie, an American pit bull terrier. She realized Sophie had Rickets disease which is why she couldn’t stand on her own or even do any movements what so ever. Before going to Dr. Simon we had gone to other veterinary clinics and none of them could give us a proper diagnosis. In fact, a veterinarian even told me we had to amputate both her back legs because her nerves weren’t working that she had no feeling on both of them or to put her down. These claims were incorrect and it was upsetting that we’re paying to hear him say something so ridiculous because she felt her legs and could move them, she just couldn’t stand on them. That made NO SENSE and how can he just recommend putting a dog down when he was unsure of what the problem was. Me and my husband knew that we had to keep looking and we got so lucky in finding Dr. Simon. It was so difficult seeing Sophie lay on her bed seeing her eyes go side to side wanting to run around and play like any pup her age. She would want to get up to pee or poop but couldn’t which made it very difficult for us because we would see her efforts in trying to at least stand up. In one of those efforts made she managed to stand but quickly fell and fractured her legs. This is when we found Dr. Simon she gave us an understanding of what possible diagnosis Sophie may have and worked with us in trying to run appropriate test. She needed surgery to her back legs to start for the fractures during this Dr. Simon realized that Sophie had Rickets disease. It an unusual disease that made her bones extremely weak. This is why Sophie couldn’t stand but still had movement and feeling on them. She’s an angel because she took Sophie in as she began treatment. She went beyond expectations in caring for Sophie as she had her in her custody just during the time of her treatment to make sure it was working. As soon as Sophie had progressed enough to where she.can stand on her own for a majority of the time we regained custody of her. Even now Dr.Simon still checks in on us to see how Sophie is doing. She cares about Sophie which shows how much she cares about others as she always does everything she can. Now Sophie of 11 months if running around the house, playing fetch at the park and to think that that she couldn’t even stand up is mind blowing. If anyone wants someone cares who about their furry friend Dr. Simon is the way to go. Nothing but positive results!!!!!

Edit based on the owner's reply: I have no problem being on speaker, and in fact, would have loved to speak to the doctor directly if given the option. I work in pet industry and have utmost respect for the often difficult working conditions of many veterinary professionals. I also understand that today is a holiday, and thank all of you for still working and helping our pets stay healthy. To suggest I was insulting or condescending on the phone, is not true. I asked questions such as: Q: What are the possible side effects Q: Are there any benefits to not doing the procedure/are there any alternatives? Q: Is there a possibility of permanent neurological damage (since the procedure is a tumor removal)? Q: Are you comfortable with my dog's cardiologist report (in terms of anesthesia?) Q: How long does the procedure last and can I have the dog with me while waiting for the bloodwork/before the surgery? I believe that any responsible pet owner today will be asking these, and similar, questions. p.s. I don't think calling someone a "Karen" over text messages to their private cell phone, after receiving a 1* review from them, is how a reputable veterinary practice should conduct their customer service. Original review: -The worst customer service I have ever received (I believe it was from Nathan). Rude and disengaged, when I asked anything about the procedure my dog was going to have, the answers were short and unprofessional, along the lines of  "what do you mean / I don't understand". They also suggested spaying my dog, although the medical records, as well as the body of my email I shared in advance, clearly say that my dog is a spayed female. When I asked if I could get my dog for a few hours while waiting for her bloodwork, so she would not have to be locked up in a kennel, I was called "neurotic," and they literally hung up the phone. I was told the doctor was good, but this customer experience makes me seriously doubt the trustworthiness of this entire establishment.

Had an absolutely great experience with all the staff at Simon Veterinary Surgical. i was talked to about the whole procedure, answered all my questions and gave me so much reassurance and put my emotions at ease when I was worried about my 11 year old dog going under for major surgery. Dr. Simon talked me through the whole recovery process and was available for all questions anytime of the day when I felt like I wasn't sure about something during recovery. All the check ups were quick and smooth and I truly believe they were some of the greatest staff to be able to hand my dog over to. Although not a cheap procedure, but their pricing is great because unlike most places who charge for every little item individually, this is a set price with recovery visits and meds included. One last thing I can say is that instead of countless meds, I was given supplements for my dog's recovery and that sold me. I don't like to keep my dog medicated so once she was done with her sedation and pain meds, it was strictly supplements that benefit my dog long term and that to me, was amazing. I was so worried about my older dog going in for surgery and they told me she would be running in no time and be good as new & they were not wrong. I was able to take my dog to the beach again and although she was tired by the end of it, she was running like she's never had surgery before and that warmed my heart. I knew I chose the right place to bring her.

Where do I even begin with this god for saken place. First of all, this place doesn’t even have an actual location, they rent a space from a local veterinarian. I called to have a consultation for my dog who is in need of surgery, there was no price ever discussed. I have arrived to the Beverly oaks animal hospital where I found out they rent a space within. They don’t even have their own location, I was met by a man I’m assuming was Dr.Simon, from the beginning he was disrespectful towards me and my mother. Not only that, when we reluctantly agree to let him take our dog. He yanks her and finally picks her up and storms away. the surgeon was brought out and they tried to bamboozle me saying my dog needed surgery in both legs. This is maybe my fifth consultation with doctors but somehow they are the first to tell me this. I refused and than I was hit with a $200 bill. No where did we discuss any payment or how much it would be. I was treated horribly by the man who called us thieves. Never in my life, did I think I would be mistreated like this by a vet. Dr. Simon proceeded to tell my mother she’s an embarrassment for me. I will make it a mission to tell every friend who has a fur baby to avoid this monstrosity of a place, the only embarrassment here is uneducated man trying to run a business out of someone’s else space. Avoid this place at all cost, they don’t deserve a dime nor a second of your time.

SVS did my dog's bi-lateral TPLO surgeries, at about 5 months apart. I was very nervous about putting her through the surgeries, but the recovery went better than expected. SVS does not have a "storefront" or waiting room area, so the experience is a bit unique, but this allows them to charge a very reasonable price for the surgeries. After much research, their TPLO price was the most competitive, especially given the fact that it includes everything (lab work, xrays, meds, supplements, cone, re-checks, sling). While not a board certified surgeon (but is board certified in Veterinary Preventive Medicine), Dr. Simon specializes in TPLO surgeries, doing multiple surgeries a week. Some of the other vets I consulted only did these surgeries about a couple of times a month. They sent us home with everything we needed and with comprehensive directions for PT/rehab. SVS staff was also available via text everyday, and were very responsive to our questions, which was reassuring to have. They were also very flexible and understanding with the scheduling. We had to reschedule a few times due to personal reasons and they were very accommodating. As for the surgical outcome, my dog recovered very well from both surgeries and the incision healed really well both times. Everything went very smoothly both times. Thank you SVS!

I can't tell you how amazing the staff and Dr. Simon are when it comes to care for your pet. The first time I showed up at the backdoor of the office without an appointment and Dr. stopped what she was doing to examine my 14 yr. old Lab. She knew what the problem was from 10 feet away. Osteoarthritis in his front left elbow that kept him from putting any weight on it or walking without a severe limp. 3 prior vets proposed various treatments ranging from supplements and physical therapy to amputation on the other end of the spectrum....YES one of them wanted to amputate (I wonder how much that would cost?!). Anyway, Dr. Simon agreed that a new medication/treatment was Synovetin. I agreed after doing the research and we went for it. 5 weeks later the limp is 90% resolved. Physical exertion was almost totally restricted but is now getting back to normal which is something I feared would never happen again. Dr. Simon does every type of surgery there is (check the Instagram photos) but it's the level of attention to the personal side of the experience that is incalculable. To Dr. Simon, Nate and the rest of the staff, thank you 1000 times over for giving Magnus back his mobility and that spark in his eye that he's had since I met him at 8 weeks old.

This review is long overdue. I can’t thank Dr. Simon and her crew enough. She has performed two successful TPLO surgeries and one plate removal surgery for my boy Baloo. She even took the time to talk me through instructions for his care on a holiday weekend when they were closed. A special thank you to Elma, hope I spelled that right, for always relaying important information and helping me feel comfortable with the process. Baloo obviously wasn’t thrilled about going in for checkups. But with time, he was visibly more comfortable in her care. Going through this surgery process was definitely less stressful because of the care and time they gave. I could call anytime I had a question and they’d gladly check him out to make sure his recovery was going well. The rehab therapy instructions provided were also a huge plus. The rehab work is on the owner so I appreciate them going as far as to have it all laid out week by week and even providing videos on their website so we can see how to properly perform the exercises. I’ve recommended Dr. Simon to friends and clients and will continue to do so. Thank you again. My boy is back to strutting around because of you.

If you need fast, straightforward service / surgery for your pet , CALL THEM. After receiving a recommendation from my holistic vet who did not have in house facility to preform surgery, that my dog needed surgery ASAP. I frantically began calling vets trying to find one that would be able to take care of the issue asap. Soo many calls later I was feeling so defeated. Either new patient appointments were so far out and then there was the uncertainty on if they would even be willing to preform surgery. Along with the other uncertainty on how much it would cost. While I ended up not getting the surgery Simon VeterinarySurgical, I can honestly say it was a breath of fresh air to be able to call, send in photos of my dogs mass and get not only an all inclusive quote but also the possibility of prompt surgery. No one else was willing to tell me an estimate. And this alone provided immense peace of mind Also, Nate, the person who will likely answer your call is so helpful and truly shows that he is passionate about and cares about providing the best care to your pet. I called countless times with questions and they were ALWAYS promptly and thoughtfully answered.

  • Jamie G

The response from the owner to this review , I don’t even know where to begin because it’s all lies . You never offered to do a single thing for my dog! You took my money and disappeared once you had it and left us hanging when we needed answers. This place is so ridiculously unprofessional and should be shut down. Thankfully my dog is doing much better now under the care of competent vets who actually care about us and him! The people who run this place are the rudest, most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. Did not even have the decency to return my calls when I reached out with questions and concerns about the procedure performed on my dog when things did not go well. Nathan yelled at both me and my husband and hung up on us when we asked why my dog's second set of stitches were not removed. And he sent us some very rude text messages. This is not the proper way to treat your clients who pay you a lot of money. Learn some manners. I wish I never went here. The experience has been horrible and very stressful for us. Stay away and go somewhere else more reputable that will treat you much better and actually communicate with you.

What can I say except this place is amazing and I'm so grateful for them. I just had a very large mass removal done on my dog Rowan yesterday. It was fast growing and we kept getting the run around everywhere we went. They quoted me over the phone for free. I'd already paid out $800 on consults & tests at other places that went nowhere. It was a flat rate $5,000 cheaper than the previous surgical center quoted me. They called me part way through and alleviated my fears and let me know she was doing well. That her "friend" was gone and they didn't think she'd miss it lol. The humor was appreciated. Let me know she had some dental issues that they could take care of but wasn't not pushy about it or make me feel bad I couldn't afford it right now. Said we could biopsy the mass but also wasn't pushy about it. I'll be bringing my animals here any time they need surgery because you guys did so great. Even gave anxiety meds because coming out of anesthesia is really difficult for your fur baby. I've never had a vet offer that and it shows they go above and beyond for the comfort of your pet.

WE came here for an affordable option. WE decided to go elsewhere, because Simon Veterinary lacks professionalism. Nathan is very unprofessional, unhinged. Honestly, take a look at his responses to the negative reviews — that will give you an indication on how he deals with customers. Can you imagine going to a reputable health care provider and receiving immature responses in text messages regarding treatment, similar to his responses in the reviews. We gave this clinic the benefit of a doubt, but my wife and i weren’t comfortable after dealing with Nathan. Sure, maybe Simon is good, but you have to ask yourself — if she's good, then why hire an incompetent staff? Very strange dynamic. OUR pets deserve better. Also, regarding the response. We did not cancel six minutes before. A total lie. This is such an outlandish response with no merit. It's completely false. Sedation pills? What’s a sedation pill? I thought they were injections… i could be wrong. Never got that far in the process.

“Nate the Great” and team took such good care of our medical foster dog, who had double hip surgery and a bullet removed, which was lodged in her femur. They treated her as if she were a celeb from Bel Air staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel! They not only executed a flawless surgery (doing two doggie hips at once is very challenging and taxing on everyone!!!), but the aftercare has been superb. Communication with the team is always prompt, courteous, and packed with info on how to best support our rescue. Their website features professional videos on exercises/therapy for once your dog is home so you can easily refer to them to ensure nothing is missed. I can’t say enough about the top notch service and care they gave us and our new family member. Would not hesitate to take her, or any dog, here again. The outstanding care they provided has helped make her the happy, joyful, and trusting dog she is today. Gratitude!!!!! *Chef’s kiss*

Dr Simon is so knowledgeable. She and her staff were the only ones to come forward to help save our two week old rescue kittens from a life threatening congenital condition. Nathan took my call on a weekend while at a wedding. I was panicking and he was able to give me a sense of reassurance that they could not only save the babies, but do it for $10,000 less than we had been quoted at VCA, yet VCA wasn’t even sure if they would be willing to perform the surgery needed. They seem to care more about money. Nathan put me at ease, and I knew I was in good hands. Pun intended as our kitten they saved is named Hands :) I trust Dr. Simon more than I would any emergency vet. We care so deeply for our babies and our rescue babies, and I see the same care from Dr. Simon and her staff. Thank you Nathan, thank you Dr. Simon. We will always turn to you for the honest and knowledgeable level of care you’ve provided us. ♥️

This is my girl Zya 4 months post-op from her TPLO surgery. Thank you so much to Simon Vet Surgical for helping my girl out when she had a torn CCL (R). She was treated with so much care & the process was quite simple. Everything is done over the phone and via email from setting up a consult, receiving a quote and emailing x-rays or records. Nate was quick with responding to my inquiry with a flat cost & no hidden fees, follow up visit cost, or post-op x-rays fees. I work at a veterinarian hospital & previously worked for an orthopedic pet surgeon so I was quite familiar with the process but they made sure to explain everything from the surgery to follow up care. I usually refer some of my own clients to this location and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing to help their fur baby! Thank you again from Zya and I.

My GF and I have an 8 yr old chocolate lab named Marley. Dr. Simon performed a TPLO surgery in 2020 on Marley’s left leg. This year Marley developed spinal stenosis but then tore his ACL on his right leg. Our usual vet told us there was nothing he could do and it was too risky to perform surgery because of his spinal stenosis. We took him to Dr. Simon for her opinion. Dr. Simon said she could perform the surgery and he would be running around again. The TPLO on the right leg was completed and Marley is healthy, waking, and running just as Dr. Simon confidently said. We can’t thank SVS enough. The staff was professional, honest, and answered any and all questions. The laser therapy given and instructions for physical therapy all helped. Thank you for fixing our Marley! ❤️

My pup Oliver broke his leg and I was frantic. I immediately started searching for surgical specialists for him. I encountered a doctor that wanted to do a surgery procedure that is rarely used now or doctors that quoted me prices near $7k. It is by the grace of goodness, that I happened to find google reviews on Dr. Simon. After looking at her website, I was shocked that she offered one of the best surgical procedures (TPLO) for an all inclusive price that provided supplements, cold laser therapy and more. After speaking to Nathan, her practice manager, choosing Dr. Simon was a no-brainer. All of the staff were kind, supportive and helpful to me. I am truly grateful to Dr. Simon and her staff for helping my pup Oliver return to a life of joyful play and health.

  • Bea Cortez

Very appreciate and thankful to Dr.Simon and the entire staff at the clinic. My Husky, Sora, had a partial torn ACL and because of it, had muscle atrophy. I called up to get a quote and Nathan provided me with all the necessary information and answered all the questions I had. I was so surprised they could do the surgery right away (I’ve heard other clinics take months to get an appointment) and I’m glad I had it done. I appreciated that they were provided all the medications/supplements and it was all included in the flat fee. I was also glad for the schedule they provide you to follow for the aftercare and for being available through text messages if I had any concerns. My pup is coming up on 8 weeks post surgery and she is doing amazing! Thank you so much.

  • Ray Delgado

Top-notch service at an affordable price! I was really fretting about how expensive TPLO surgeries were at the few SoCal vets I checked out before I found Simon Vet. They were considerably cheaper and it was great to know that my dog would be cared for at a place that specializes in these type of surgeries. The staff was fantastic and walked me through the whole process and after-care very carefully and my dog Bryce was on his feet in due time. He ended up injuring his other leg a few months later and I went back to Simon Vet again knowing he'd be in great hands. They once again handled him with ease and got us right in. Bryce is now back on his feet and happier than ever. I highly recommend this place!

  • Tom Cohen

Dr. Simon, Nate and the whole team at Simon Vet are amazing! My dog Sierra (formerly Lucy) was brought to them via Wagmor, thru which I fostered and quickly adopted her. She had been rescued from extreme neglect and abuse, and had a untreated hip injury. Dr. Simon performed double FHO surgery, the results of which have been nothing short of miraculous! Sierra had a 4-week post-surgery check-up today and was cleared to resume normal activities. She's like a new dog! Nate has been an amazing point of contact, super responsive, friendly and helpful. Hopefully, Sierra won't need surgery ever again but if she does, Simon Veterinary will be the first place I go to!

  • Alyssa Barnes

Simon Veterinary Surgical is the place to go! While my dog didn't need surgery, I will actively seek their expertise if/when she does. Nate and the team provide incredible customer service and truly seem to care about dogs. They kindly fit my dog in to ensure her wound can heal properly, which was incredibly nice because she had never been there before and she didn't need an operation. You can text, call, and email the team and every response is professional yet caring. They really go above and beyond! In addition to the customer service, the staff is highly skilled. They know their craft, which can be hard to find. Cannot recommend enough!

  • Emilee Melo

Simon Veterinary Surgical has given my family so much to be thankful for! We are so lucky to have found a vet that cares about our fur babies just as much as we do. The staff is so friendly, responsive and helpful. I had so much stress bringing my pup in, but they were able to give me many details that thoroughly explained how they could help us best, I left there with a peace of mind knowing my baby was in great hands. I'd like to personally thank Nathan for going above and beyond, answering all the questions and constant phone calls! You have really made this experience so great for us!! You guys are heroes!!

  • Jennifer Breeden

My 10 year old Boxer "Joe Joe" is my son. My four legged son. He developed a tumor on his chest that ruptured. I was beside myself. It was bleeding and got infected. I called SVS and spoke with Nathan who is just downright AMAZING! He scheduled Joe Joe for surgery to have it removed. The day of surgery they just were so compassionate and wonderful. They have me my baby back. I could not be happier with the results. From beginning to end SVS is phenomenal and I want to thank Dr. Simon and Nathan and the whole staff from the bottom of my heart. You guys ROCK!!!!!!

  • Kate Casas

Dr. Simon and her team took such great care of my 8yo Collie Mix this past winter! I was apprehensive to put my dog through TPLO surgery due to cost and lengthy recovery. But Simon Vet Surgical offers a set fee with no hidden costs which helped with the financial worries. Dr. Simon along with Nate are very communicative and talked me through every step. They were even available for calls anytime of day / night to walk me through the recovery ups and downs. My best friend is now able to join me on hikes again with a HUGE smile. I couldn't be happier!

  • Harrison Greenberg

Thank you to the kind and compassionate heroes at SVS. Simply the best veterinary team I’ve ever met. When my 4 year old lab mix Buster needed help, they came to his rescue. Nathan was patient and welcoming, and dr. Simon went above and beyond. I truly felt like I was part of their family, and the care they gave us seemed like the same care they’d give their own furry family members. Buster boy is back to his old self now, and we couldn’t be more appreciative of Nathan, Dr. Simon, and the entire team at SVS.

My dogdaughter was limping pretty bad so into the vet we go sure enough she tore her CCL now off to find a orthopedic surgeon for my princess I don't know how I stumbled on simon veterinarian surgical but I did and I'm greatful..Nathan was extremely helpful explained every detail of the cost AND got her in the next day...they texted me updates took pictures of her and I was able to pick her up befor noon. She went home with a swag bag full of medicine to help her rest and heal plus some supplements.

I drove from La Jolla to this clinic and it was well worth the drive! I am very impresses with this clinic from start to finish. As an RN I appreciate working with health care teams that obviously care about their patients and that provide with clear information- to make sure the patient recovers well and quickly. Dr Simon was awesome! It is remarkable that less than 48hr post op my 7.5yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback walked on all 4 legs this am. Many thanks, Dr. Simon and staff.

  • Sara Chaisson

Dr. Simon and her staff are all so kind, supportive, and knowledgeable. We went for a consultation and x-ray and were given a very thorough and honest explanation and recommendation for surgery, and were able to come for that the very next day. After the surgery we were given a lot of aftercare support and scheduled for rechecks as needed. My dog Goose is still in the healing process but I couldn’t be happier with our experience so far. Highly, highly recommend.

  • cindi ramirez

My terrier tore both her acl’s and I was lucky enough to find Simon Vet.. I am a senior citizen on fixed budget and the surgeries were going to be very expensive but by the kindness of Nathan he was able to secure funds for one of her surgeries.. With all the physical therapies and supplements and everything was included.. the surgery went great and Mia is getting better every day.. thank you Nathan and the wonderful staff at Simon Veterinary.. Cindi and Mia

  • Armand Yardemian

I couldn't be happier with the results! I got lucky my vet referred me to SVS. My dogs health tanked quickly and I needed to get him in for emergency surgery. Nathan was very helpful. They were fully booked, but were able to fit in emergency surgery for that day. They saved Arch! Professional, clean with great results, and he didn't have to spend the night. They provided all his medicine and therapy within one package. Highly recommended!!!

They are all they say they are and more. My little chihuahua had her knee fixated and went from hopping on 3 legs back to running around. And she healed without any scarring. When she was too active after surgery they were just a text away for me to pick up a prescription to help, at no additional charge. And that was not the only time they came to the rescue. Hands down the best and most caring vet office I've ever interacted with.

Simon Veterinary Surgical has been amazing! My little one had to get surgery on her patella. The whole team is amazing and their customer service is incredible. I’ve never been to a vet like this. No BS, straight to the point, extremely talented Doctor, no extra BS fees, no 2/3 month wait, answers the phone and truly cares for each pet/patient they see. Highly highly recommend!!

Took my 11 year old husky in for his second tplo 2 months after the first and the team there was very kind and provided great information and supplements for the healing process. The free check ups included in the surgery price were nice to make sure my concerns were heard. Overall great experience even though handling a dog with two bad legs was rough he now can walk again.

It’s been 6 weeks since Delta’s TPLO surgery and it is like she never tore her CCL. Simon Veterinary Surgical was amazing and walked us through the whole process. I called other animal hospitals in the area and they quoted me twice as much for her surgery and it did not include follow ups. The flat rate and the care provided is unmatched. Highly recommended.

Simon Veterinary Hospital was just fantastic. They removed a tumor from my little dogs tongue and did a dental cleaning. They are very caring and responsive to any questions. My little dog is doing fine, I would also mention pricing was very fair, highly recommend Simon Verterinary Hospital in Sherman Oaks CA.

Nathan at Simon Vet Surgical has been kind to my dog Ruby in two procedures now- a luxating patella and a tooth removal. He’s prompt, efficient, and helped me with insurance claims too. Not to mention their flat fee pricing including prescription drugs is super competitive. Love it!

Dr. Simon and her team are phenomenal! They are very responsive and easy to work with. Their fair, flat rate prices included everything my pup needed, plus lots of extras. And best of all, the surgery went smoothly! So thankful that I found them!

Without this place I don’t know what we would have done. They took our dog in quick when she had an emergency, didn’t hose us financially when they could have. Friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend.

Unbelievable experience. They offered a quote immediately and were much, much more affordable than anyone else in the LA area (we called many). Their work was top-notch from drop-off to staple removal.
