"F/G train station, renovated, 2 sets of escalators and then stairs to get to the platform or vice versa to exit"
"It's the worst ever, where's the elevator for the disable and the elders for wheelchairs, as well of another entrance for the station only i see is one entrance on the fount only i seen enough stairs going up and down, somebody need to do something now or I'm not stepping foot here at this station again"
"There r always cops there to make u feel safe "
"This station is the highest elevated station in the system"
"Never known for any one station to be that high up"
F/G train station, renovated, 2 sets of escalators and then stairs to get to the platform or vice versa to exit. Nice view from the platform, wish it was a sunny day when I visited. There is a bus stop outside the station. Gowanus is an industrial area of Brooklyn but many people were walking to and fro.

There r always cops there to make u feel safe . There are coffee shops there Subway booth in case you need a MetroCard and they help you if you got a problem and that's about it and all my friends know about it always cops there to help you and take care of you
This station is the highest elevated station in the system. Glad to see the view when I'm here. But most importantly, I love seeing the unusual things like kids riding on the way back of subway cars. Hope they get punished for getting caught like that one day.
Never known for any one station to be that high up. You could see it for the next 10 blocks. 5 flights of stairs before you reach the mezzanine. If at any point in time I need a workout & I don't have a gym, this would be an ideal place for leg day.
Beautiful station following renovations in 2015/2016, however, despite being the highest elevation station in Brooklyn, it doesn't have an elevator making it inaccessible to wheelchairs or anyone requiring anything beyond escalators. During
Thanks for the photo! A little more perspective, a little more tele, and perhaps we would see what Isaac Asimov saw on his way to Manhattan from the Prospect Park 15th St Station when he was just 18, on the way to Manhattan, trying to get
Technicians and engineers from the world over have come to try their hand at cracking the mystery that are the Escalators of Smith St Station. Year round, daily commuters are invited to observe, and take part of, the poetic irony of being
They fix the station very nice you can't catch the F train hear the G train here going towards call me on it going towards Brooklyn you can catch the 57 bus going to downtown Brooklyn has an area's fix pretty nice
Awesome views from here - I believe it’s the highest off the ground elevated train station in the country. It’s a lot to get to the top though. Two long escalators which usually work, plus two flights on stairs.
Subway station. would be 5/5 but no elevators on site. Kinda weird for it to be the tallest subway station in the world and simultaneously having no elevators. Just me tho
I love going up the stairs, the view is well worth it. If you're too lazy for the stairs the escalator is there (that is if it doesn't break down). Well worth visiting.
This station has an amazing view of Manhattan. Especially at the sunset. But it needs some repairs. Especially when it is raining. Other than that it's a nice station.
Stairs are killer and even after the almost 2 year renovation there's no ramp or elevator for the handicapped. Escalators frequently broken as well...Shame on the MTA
this station is very high up and it sports a breathtaking view. but the fact that it's nearly 90 feet above ground doesn't have an elevator is nearly inexcusable
Hate this station. Probably the worst in NYC. Escalators never work, though it’s pretty high up, it’s always dirty and disgusting. MTA should be ashamed.
F&G trains, B61 and B57 bus connections. One stop downtown to connect with the R train. Exposed rails. Escalators at this station but no elevator.
The stands high from the ground level and has great views from the platform. Do stop and breath in the vibe of RedHook when ever you pass by
This station is the highest in the entire subway system. As a result of its elevation, it gives riders some of the best views of the city.
Amazing views from this subway stop off both the Manhattan & Brooklyn skylines. The station cruises right over the Gowanus Canal.
Great metro station. Used it almost all week while visiting. The B61 bus takes you around Red Hook. Good connections.
The highest subway station in New York City is also the most beautiful subway station in New York to enjoy sunset.
Google, are you really looking for Sunday station reviews? OK, then : this is one. Oh : and it has a lot of stairs
Beautiful place for a photoshoot. Only problems its on the G line, good at best, terrible most of time.
Good station. I take the A trains here on Fridays. Its a very packed station but the trains a frequent.
G trains usually terminates at this station until 2009, when it was extended to Church Avenue. …
Great view of the city. Nice to see police presence as well. Station was overall a nice experience.
Frequent train service and SPECTACULAR views. Recommend it for those who want to see the skyline.
Station has a good view but that's about it. Go to 4th and 9th or Carroll St instead of you can.
Amaing view..highest above ground station in nyc...historic....fast service with frequent stops
The station isn't that clean but the clerks in the station are really nice and helpful.
This station is outdoors, which is great for phone service but not as great in winter.
I just went there to Railfan. Confusing weather though because it was windy and sunny.
Easy going down the steps. Hard going up. Especially if escalator is out of order!
Highest MTA station. The escalators can often be broken so it's a big walk up.
Transfer from this station to go home or to work self service atm
This is the tallest subway station in the world
