I re-discovered and cleaned the headstones & overgrown brush in 2021 of the Sneed Family Cemetery. It sits just off I-35 behind the Ferrari Dealership only a few miles from downtown Austin and the Capital Building. The Sneed Family was one of the first clans to call Austin home back when Mexico still had land deeds disputes this far north of the Rio Grande River with the US Government and settlers of the new State of Texas... The Sneed's went on to be a driving force in building up and expanding the population of the future Capital Of Texas. They won seats in local and state government and one even became Austin Texas 1st Mayor. They farmed the land littered with natural springs that ran into streams now gone with time... They were major land owners past from what is now William Cannon Blvd all the way into what is now literally downtown Austin.
