Nice sighting especially at night. The breeze is awesome from the water. The buikdings are beautiful a great walk to do once your finished dinner or just a walk and talk session. The restroom is being either remodeled or it's either completely closed off for good not sure. So there is no restroom out here. The parking is 15 mins only in certain areas. There is a parking lot that say pay to park. However I'm not sure if that's legit or if you really have to pay to park at night.

Attractive, clean section of the riverwalk near Ameris Bank River Place tower. Shady benches, the Lone Sailor stature, a view across the river of USS Orlek, a river taxi stop, Village Bread Cafe. Deducted a star as there's no free parking found next to the River walk. A few spaces across the street from River Place Tower but definitely not enough to serve all for the restaurant or a quick stroll on the river walk.

This stretch of riverfront is dear to me. Been walking it for many years. It's quite a nice casual stroll to have a look at the St. John's, some of the bridges, the stadium, sailor's memorial. There's a point along the riverwalk (north and south banks) to get on the water taxi...usually a beautiful breeze cutting through this area too! I'm sure I'll be back many times, and continue to watch the slow, but sometimes all too steady changes.

This place is the reason why I moved to Jacksonville and that was long before they finished building it out. My family and I truly enjoy walking you the beautiful Riverwalk anytime of time or night. It's so beautiful and peaceful. People walk with their kids, and dogs and we all enjoy looking at boats as they pass by. Sometimes you can hear the manatees come up for air or even see the dolphins swimming!!

Nice early evening cityscape walk, we saw dolphins swimming in the river & a beautiful old sailboat. It was windy but we enjoyed the city views and the easy stroll with our dog. A few sketchy people around, I would not recommend walking there after dark as sections of the walkway are independent and not connected to land! Free local street parking after 6pm.

The view of downtown is absolutely gorgeous the lights are amazing beautiful people of different colors races cultures but what I enjoyed most of all was getting out of the house on such a beautiful night and being able to bring along a couple of my knucklehead friends. Oh yeah we were also able to witness a couple of beautiful birds actually catch fish and eat them that was really cool.

Really lovely area with great urban views. Parking was difficult as I visited during Labor Day weekend... I managed to find public parking here - 889Q+C8C Urban Core, Jacksonville, FL - right by the overpass. I brought my 25lbs beagle.. he enjoyed it as well!

Gorgeous view of the St John’s River and over downtown Jacksonville. I was a little disheartened to see a little bit of trash floating in the water. It’s a shame people can’t just throw their trash in a garbage can. Overall it was a fantastic view and makes for a nice walk down the river.

It is a beautiful place, you can relax , walk to clear your mind. The calm that water brings it is amazing. I wish people keep this beautiful places clean, let's do our part and don't throw trash and if you see any pick it up. Near to the jacksonville downtown you'll see an amazing view during sunset and sunrise, I went there for sunrise. The view was amazing when you see people in boat's, jogging around and then the mighty sun shows up with an orange color shine over the horizon. In 5 minutes it turned into pale yellow, now you have a full sun visibility in front of you. Just amazing

Beautiful view of the St John's River. Sadly, there is no longer much to do downtown via the water. There is a walk along the river. But no businesses to visit. They have all been torn down, and new condos and hotels are replacing them.

Sip and Stroll good event nice time to get out and get yo participate in any number of local food vendors and beer wine and mixed cocktails while listening to any number of bands playing along the walk with places to sit and relax.

Very relaxing place for a walk. Amazing sunset views as well. You'll occasionally see dolphins on the St. John's river. They had a little event on St. Patrick's Day 2022 which we happened upon by accident but we enjoyed it.

Excellent paved walking path along the St. Johns River. If you are lucky, you might see some dolphins! There are bencges scattered along the Riverwalk if you want to stop and take in the views of downtown and the stadium.

My experience there was nice ! I was walking down there for half an hour with my little kid and a friend of mine ! I like how clean the place is with the fresh air around there. And the best thing is that walking side is not far from the nice friendship fountain which you can see and sit to relax in after a nice walk. Good place to see.

It is beautiful and it is great for a walk, however, it is not easy to find a parking spot, if you are not a local. I ended up parking in a garage (which is fine), but later I found the free parking. I liked the riverwalk, and I had the same experience as the others, it was completely abandoned, basically, no one was there.

The walk is nice you get to lean some historic moments from the statues and there are locks on the bridges some places .. I find it to be very intriguing .. It's nice for walking, jogging and sight seeing .. I recommend.

I love the Riverwalk! I enjoy walking there with my dog and enjoy seeing Manatees, Dolphins, and the abundant other wildlife that lives there. There is a security force, Downtown Ambassadors, and Jax Sheriff's that patrol each day and I feel reasonably safe. Come on down and enjoy the Riverwalk!

We went on a weekend. The views were good but the place is bit dull, not many people around. Parking was bit difficult. We couldn’t take the ferry ride as there were no ferries when we went. The walk in the bridge is nice. A good place to spend time with family and fiends and to go for walk.

Beautiful area for a walk to relax. The view at sundown it’s just magic. Highly recommend to visit this area if you are in JAX. Cons: restricted areas by the hotels.

This is a great site seeing destination. As you walk the river, there are beautiful art pieces and buildings to see. We didn't get to see it at night, but would like to go back to check out how it would be lit up at night. Great place to take a family walk or run for a work out.

Wonderful place to have a walk after dinner, perfect view for downtown Jacksonville, with the view of Well Fargo Center, John Alsop Jr Bridge. Nice breeze in fall weather and the fountain is pretty nice too. If there is a few more lights in the park and it would be better.

It's a nice relaxing spot. Seems like you can walk forever...I seen a family of dolphins and plenty of boats. I follow the GPS which led me right to a parking lot and underground garage for South Riverwalk. Free 30 min $2 for 1 hour and $1 every hr after.

This is one of my favorite places to walk around southbank. I grew up in Jacksonville and I have seen alot of development over the years.

I used to go walking here all the time with my father had some really meaningful conversations and memories on this river walk. Unlike Tampa and Orlando, there just isn’t much to do in Jax but the River walk is a treasure.

My daughter and I loved walking along the river walk. I don't know if it was the time of day (late afternoon), but we spotted dolphins at least three times. The Chart House restaurant is close by for afternoon Happy Hour.

Nice and relaxing walkway along the river. There aren't any shops and restaurants along the way so you'd need to go to another location for that. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view.

The Riverwalk offers a Beautiful view of the St Johns River and downtown Jacksonville. You may even be lucky enough to see the local bottlenose dolphins and Manatees playing in the river.

Went during the day, quiet, not much around. Park was closed. The mural under the walk way was cool.

Absolutely breathtaking near dusk. Accessible from the Skyway, this place is scenic and convenient with lots of options for seating. The entire stretch is just over a mile long.

The view is gorgeous. A little over a mile to walk it, and it is wonderful with the Friends Fountain at the end. The river walk is calm, clean, and cozy.
