Nice nostalgic playground with older metal slides, seesaw, merry-go-round, and other neat playground equipment. Nice picnic shelter and basketball court, and even a softball area. Large parkinglot with handicap spaces I took my grandson for our first time on a Saturday around 5:00 p.m. and the restrooms were locked! Children who play at the playground after 4pm (so its not so hot) on the METAL slides and they can't even use the bathroom if needed?! I'm not sure why in the summertime they can't lock the restrooms at DUSK which is much later than 5:00 p.m. and there are more kids at the playground on the weekends! There are restrooms available but who knows when they are actually open and I didn't see a porta potty. Someone who is handicapped or has bathroom issues also has to watch their fluid intake on a hot day?!?! Indiana has a lot of parks this way unfortunately. The park rule sign says that the Park is open from dawn to dusk and that time changes in different seasons... dusk is not 5:00 p.m. in the summertime!

My 11 yr old enjoyed the variety of swings, slides, teeter totters and other things, but the park was swarmed with about 12-13 much older teens (most over age 16 if I had to guess), some on bikes, some on foot, but they just sat on the slides, sat in the swings talking, not swinging, sat in the spinning "chair" and on the bouncing balance beam. If they just wanted to talk, there were plenty of picnic tables and benches to sit at. Several mothers with toddlers came and left because of this and one boy with a bike and an attached compressor to blow a horn that belonged on a fire truck...he'd ride around and blow it and scare the younger kids, and adults. Perhaps there needs to be some better patrol...and have them move along or get off the equipment if they are simply sitting on it and not using it of there are smaller kids around.

My family just found this park a couple weeks ago and has really been enjoying it! Some of the equipment looks a little run-down while some of it is newer, but it all feels very sturdy, just needs a new paint job. I will say that out of all the parks we go to, this one has the best slides, by far! That twisty slide is so much fun, even as an adult, and a very tall straight slide. The monkey bars there are taller than anywhere else, which is great for older kids. They also have various types of swings.

This park is cool until your kid goes down the curly slide of despair, which was probably designed by Pennywise from IT...all children who go down it start laughing and get off of it crying. Don't even try going down it with them unless your deductible is low. Other than that, it is a nice little park in a quiet neighborhood. And hey it still has a merry go round, so you can pass the time by watching kids fling each other around it and then fly off and leave early from the trauma.

We visit many local parks, and this is one of our favorites. It's not the biggest or most scenic, but the kids really like it. Plenty to do, and I like that a couple of the slides are old school, vintage metal slides, which are harder and harder to find these days. It's very safe, and for whatever reason, people here are talkative and friendly. We seem to always strike up a conversation with other parents while the kids play. Nice basketball court, too, and it's never crowded.

Cute, quiet local park. Recently revamped with a handicap swing , several swing sets, monkey bars, jungle gym, slides, and a generous shelter house. The parking lot is small, and the park backs up to a stream. There are plenty of trees, which are beautiful in the summer and fall. There is also a police station right next to the park. I used to come here all the time as a kid and I appreciate the updates they've done. It's a cute place to take your dogs and family.

This park has a nice mix of modern and "vintage" play equipment. The last time I was here the fence between the water and the playground had gaps on the bottom big enough for my kids, but not big enough for me to go after them. Thankfully, I didn't see those this time, although that fence REALLY needs to be replaced. All in all its a good playground. We'll be back next week :)

Great for kids. Not a place to go walking. If you are a kid, they have lots of things to do. Slides, Swings, Merry go round, and more. There are some basketball goals too and a practice baseball field. There seems to be plenty of parking. A few barbecue grills as well. There are some rest rooms, but we went so early that they were closed.

A lot smaller than I expected. Good for little kids but I dont understand the reviews that said it was good to walk your dog. It's not like other parks with nature trails that I would normally take my dogs. It's just a small playground and a shelter. It would be fantastic for a celebration like a birthday party or small reunion.

One of our favorite playgrounds because they've kept some of the older style equipment and have real mulched areas. Wish the bathrooms were more accessible though.
Playground
Our favorites are the tornado slide and the merry-go-round!
Restrooms
They are always clean but not open often enough.

  • Reginald Hynes

It's fun I go here to play basketball, but you can only play on one of the hoops, because the net isn't stretched enough. And the bathrooms aren't always open.
Playground
It's pretty fun
Restrooms
There not always open

Perfect place to take the kids. Large playground with slides, seesaws, merry-go-round and more. There is a nice pavilion with grills, basketball court, softball field and it sits adjacent to the Senior Center.

Love this park! Quiet and next to a little stream. It's one of the only places around to find old-school playground equipment, which my family loves! It has teeter totters and a merry-go-round.

  • Peter Hainsworth

Definitely enjoyed the park with the Littles. Kinda like the mix of older, metal equipment, and newer ones. The tall twirl metal slide is epic and a must try if you visit!

  • Scott Haase Pitching

Classic and a great time with my almost 2 y/o. The 11th park we've been to during the pandemic on my days off and our favorite yet. Can't wait to be back when it's warm!

Classic! Love those old, metal, dangerous slides :) It takes you back to a time before seat belts were the law and kids like me rode in truck beds on the highway.
