Edit: 7 years later: The best pet supply store in the neighborhood by far. But, above and beyond that is the owner, Sed. He has been nothing short of a empathetic support to every pet owner and pet that visits the store. As I've gotten to know him over the past decade, he has always been extraordinarily kind and professional taking an interest in the well being of not just the pets but their owners. Visit this store! 7years ago: Spoiled Brats is by FAR the best pet store about 96th Street and one of the best across Manhattan overall. The owner and staff are extraordinarily kind and very competent. The selection of quality food is excellent and if they don't have it or are out of stock, they will order it with little lag time for receiving it. They have a great selection of treats and toys. They offer treats generously to your pet when visiting the store. There is no other pet store to ever go to but them, especially for uptown Manhattanites. If you don't shop here: start! It is the finest in pet supply stores.

I can't rave highly enough about this store! Yes, it's a little bit more expensive than ordering on Amazon, but the customer service is WORTH IT! I go there all the time with my dog (we order her canned food from them). When she was a puppy and having digestive issues I asked the manager (owner?) there and he was so helpful!! His suggestions were more helpful than our vet's! The staff there is always helpful, and gives treats to my dog every time we come in. (So now she loves going shopping!) Yesterday I made an order over the phone (they deliver for free!), and there was a miscommunication. I wanted a bag of Blue Stix but got a bully stick instead. Today when I went over to exchange it, the manager gave me the bag of Blue Stix and waved the price difference, apologizing for my inconvenience. Now that's great customer service!!

We have been going to Spoiled Brats since they opened over a decade ago. The service, price and same day free delivery can't be beat, even by online competitors. It's sad that some have a perception that it's cheaper to buy online. Firstly, buying here supports our local community. Second, their prices are the same online or sometimes less for a brick & mortar. My dogs love the owner, staff & yes, the free treats. Their day is made when we stop to visit. Even when we don't need anything, the store is a great spot for that small community feel that's rare nowadays. They're also very generous, helps rescue groups compared to the puppymill pet store close by with markups to the roof. I wish Spoiled Brats continues to thrive and hopefully more people will realize what a gem this store is to dogs and their pawrents.

What a lovely shop filled with everything you could want for your pets! I was staying a few blocks away and stopped in to buy my babies something to give them when I returned home. The owner Eddie is very kind, taking care with each customer if they ask questions or need help. That said, he’s not pushy in the least. I enjoyed meeting the resident shop cat Chloe, black cats rule! I managed to spend $50 on some really high end catnip toys (only the best for my kids!) and a cool small dog toy. I’ll definitely go out if my way to stop in here next time I’m in NYC. If I lived locally I would do all my pet shopping here, great selection!

My favorite pet store hands down. Wide selections, and the staff are very helpful and honest. They won't push the most expensive product just for the hell of it, they will only push the best product to their knowledge, even if that means recommending a different more economical brand as opposed to what you would of bought. That's how you know they're honest with their suggestions!

The selection is great - I was shocked at all the good stuff they had when I first discovered them. The people who run it are super friendly and helpful. They pet sit for a reasonable fee. And, they have free delivery which I have relied on for three years now. I love this place. Anyone who hasn't discovered it yet is missing out.

At least the 3rd time ordered from Spoiled Brats and gladly try to spread the news on this FABulous dog collar ID tag to other pet owners. Tags are Always perfect, speedy; plenty of space on tags for info. They stay securely on collars, never corrode in toughest conditions, etc. Can't beat them, even if the pet has a microchip.

Really excellent pet shop with friendly and knowledgable staff. Prices are very reasonable. I was worried about switching my dog to a new food as he's weirdly picky. They gave me a carton of bone broth for free just in case. This is the kind of service you can't get from online retailers.

A great store that still knows how to do business! Stopped in for some dog food, but forgot my wallet. The owner had me take the food and call him with my payment info. Always has what you need and if he doesn't he'll order it for you. Couldn't ask for a better pet store!

Looked kinda nichey and a bit expensive. I'm pretty good with standard cat food, but I needed a kitten formula and they were the only shop around with one. Clerk was friendly and they've got a ton of pet food options if that's your thing.

We're first time cat fosters and the store owner was extremely helpful in showing us around the store and explaining what we needed and what we didn't. Truly appreciated that he wasn't trying to to sell us on anything we didn't need.

Favorite pet store I have ever been too. Sed is the owner and the kindest most helpful animal lover ever! Hands down - they care. Also they have an excellent selection of high quality pet food and supplements. It’s a gem uptown.

A really nice store with a great owner. They carry all of my favourite cat food and the brand of litter I like. It is so hard to find, but he has it! Also, if you are in the neighborhood, they deliver for no additional cost.

They have everything we need: our brand of dry food, chew toys, pee pads, greenies, soluble bones... Plus, the staff is very friendly. My pup always walks away with fresh water and treats on the house.
