Was quite shocked at the attitude of these ladies...the older lady seemed like she didn't want to be there...pushing the customer to make his choices...not giving him much opportunity to properly make a decision....the younger lady wore gloves out of their shop...went to a shop next door..opened the door...then came back in to the bakery wearing and serving with the same gloves on....when I mentioned it...she acknowledged me but didn't change the gloves....not good health practice in these times....

How can anyone expect the staff and customers to put up with the hot temperature in there? Is that even legal? Last week when I visited, the staff were bringing the orders outside where most people waited as inside the temperature was unbareable. The staff look like they are at there witts end, and I actually got turned off buying my coffee by the temperature. Food is great, the poor staff are wonderful considering the conditions they are obviously under with heat! Staff and food 5/5

Best salad rolls in Brisbane! Always fresh and delicious. The pies and sausage rolls are amazing as well, and don’t get me started on the pork and gravy rolls, they are mouthwatering. I have a friend in Ipswich who insists I get a salad roll and pie from Gumdale Bakery before I go and visit. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Best bakery in Brissie!

Went in there for a cake for a birthday. Went in specifically for a vanilla sponge cake. They had a couple of cakes in the cabinet to choose from and I just asked for any as long as it’s vanilla sponge. The girl at the front gave me the cake and went home and cut the cake and it was a chocolate cake with flavoured icing. Very disappointed as we couldn’t eat the cake due to chocolate allergy.

It's always a joy to pop into this bakery. Always greeted with a big smile and the food is superb. I've tried the pies, sausage rolls, pork and gravy rolls, vanilla slice and custard tarts and they are always impeccable. I'll take this place over Yatala any day of the week. …

The Sourdough is amazing. who ever is baking it, knows their stuff!! I Have made the switch from the French Bakery across the road as I find the sourdough at Gumdale Bakery far superior, which I would have never guessed, as it looks like a rather unassuming little bakery.

Omg the meat pie at this place is AMAZING and so is the coffee!? Why have I been driving around spending twice the money on cafes and cheap when this little gem has amazing coffee lovely friendly staff and also amazing pies and great food! What a little gem!

I was in there the other day and was told there was a surcharge for master card and visa. I paid with direct debit and still charged the surcharge. A lot of businesses encourage eftpos rather than cash due to covid. Thumb’s down Gumdale bakery …

Generally good selection that can cater to a quick morning breakfast. Also has a variety of oven/fried items earlier in the morning that other places usually only have around brunch. Staff are friendly too.

Best long john fresh cream donut and curry chicken and vege pie within the Wakerley, Wynnum, Manly area. Leaves all other bakeries in these areas in the shade.

I like this bakery opens early ,pies are good, well all they make is good Have fresh sandwiches as well an good coffee. Plenty parking.

The tastiest sausage rolls in the area, good use of garlic, also a shout out to the super friendly staff who ALWAYS treat us so well.

Great tasting hot pies, serving staff are fast and friendly. Definitely worth a pop in for a quick feed.
