I would’ve given this place 5 stars if not for their rip-off pharmacy (Apotheek Leidsestraat). These are connected and in the same building. The Tourist Doctors advertise this pharmacy on their website, so clearly they are related. I had a skin infection, chatted with them directly on WhatsApp through their website. Described the problem and sent photos from a few days ago to today. Infection diagnosed. They sent me a link to pay €49 and within a few minutes, a prescription arrived in my email. That was all very convenient and quite a relief. As a tourist when you get sick, the last thing you want is to navigate an unfamiliar medical system and wait for days to be seen. This was a relief. HOWEVER, Be Warned: their connected pharmacy next door is a ripoff, charging tourists an extra €35+ “handling fee” on top of the price of medication. This is an extra scam fee for literally nothing. Bottom line: if you a tourist and need a doctor, you can get an easy consultation here. But if you need to get a prescription filled, go to another pharmacy where they will sell you the medication without the extra ripoff fee. Unless of course you’re ok with paying more than double the price for your meds. My medication was €23.42. The ripoff fee was €35 “handling fee” nonsense.

I was traveling abroad and developed an ear infection. I made an appointment online at 0400 for the morning at 1000. I arrived a little early, great location just down from a tram stop, and was quickly seen by the doctor. He prescribed an antibiotic and an ear drop. The cost was 79euro and a receipt was provided for me to submit for reimbursement to my medical insurance back in the US. This was a 5 star experience. When I went to the pharmacy that is connected to the office, they did not have the ear drops in stock. In addition to the cost of the antibiotics (which was 26 euro and seemed reasonable) there was a 35 euro pharmacy fee, which this seemed excessive, but not sure how the Dutch system works for prescriptions. All in all a quick and easy experience to get much needed antibiotics for my ear infection. I would recommend and go back if needed.

We were in Amsterdam as tourists. My husband got serious eye problems (grey haze, black spots, flashes) and presented himself to this doctor's office. Instead of being referred to an ophthalmologist or directly to an eye clinic, he was given an antiallergic and drops for dry eyes. Hardly back in Germany, my husband went to an ophthalmologist and was immediately sent to a hospital for an emergency operation! He had a hole in his retina and needed a laser! In this respect, it would probably be better if you could go straight to a specialist in the Netherlands who knows what he is doing, instead of going to a family doctor, who made a completely wrong decision in my husband's case!

Easy and very quick help in tricky situation -> Getting medical help as a tourist on a Sunday. Sunday morning telephone call with Doctor Faloun, described the symptoms of my girlfriend (very obvious infection). 5 min later I had a pdf of the prescription for antibiotics and a paypall request of 59€ in my mail (supposedly fully refundable with the insurance). 1 hour later at the next pharmacy, the already got all the medicine prepared as they had the prescription in their system. Very much recommended! Thank you!

I was having balance issues for 5 days after flying in. Not dizzy, actually feeling a pull to the right. Ears felt fine during flight and since. Never having had any issues like this was very concerning. I called Dr. Faloun and he scheduled me within a few hours. He was very thorough and covered many potential causes, verified there was no infections. Discussed any concerns I might have had. To get that kind of treatment in the same day in a foreign country, priceless! Thanks Again!

My experience with Dr. Faloun has been very positive and is still to this day. During my appointment, he took the time to listen to my symptoms and was proactive in prescribing me some medication to help me out. Even though my problem has yet to go away, Dr. Faloun remains available to my concerns, which is highly, highly appreciated. I really recommend going to his practice for your health issues. Practical information: in-person consultation costs are 69 euros.

As an expat in a foreign country it’s always stressful when I need medical care and it’s SUCH a relief when a doctor is as friendly, human, available and professional all at the same time as Dr. Faloun. Very easygoing encounter, right diagnosis, friendly smile even at the end of his work day at 8pm, sent me the prescription again after I lost the medication shortly after the visit. Thank you, it makes the world more wonderful to feel cared for in this way.

A great doctor who really explained well what is going on with my UTI. However, on the site it is written that they work with EHIC/ AON. Was disappointed to find out this is not true and I had to pay 69€, despite the info on the site that said 49€. When you go there keep in mind you will need to pay in the moment of the appointment and (try) get a reimbursement since they no longer work with EHIC or other insurance companies.

TOP experience! Dr. Faloun is a highly reliable, friendly and competent/skilled doctor who takes the needed time to hear his patients and to discuss alternatives in treatment AND to provide FULL & detailed information, etc. As a cherry on top there was no waiting time, quick and uncomplicated appointment and the doctors office in the heart of the centre in Amsterdam. Highly recommended!

I came on a trip to the Netherlands and ran into a medical problem that required immediate antibiotic treatment. I received a professional, courteous and immediate response which made the matter simple and already after 12 hours I felt significant relief. I have been to seen the doctor twice, I live in Amsterdam but it’s been really hard finding a GP and he’s been a great help in emergency situations when you need a referral or medicine. He’s knowledgeable and has helped me both in person and via e-consultation. Would recommended to anyone travelling in Amsterdam or even locals that can’t get an appointment with their GPs.

Great doctor - my husband got an ear infection and was getting quite ill. The Dr was great, very thoughtful and thorough with exam. Prescribed antibiotics and ear drops whuch we got from chemist downstairs. Practice is clean, comfortable (it is up a tiny staircase but don't worry if you cant go up he will come down) Thankyou we can now continue with our trip

I would highly recommend this GP as they give good and hassle free service. I called from another city and spoke with Dr Faloun who was very helpful. They listened to my symptoms and gave me a prescription via email ready for me to pick up at my nearest pharmacy. Forever grateful and will definitely be coming back to them if I ever need help again in NL!

I was in Holland and needed medical assistance. The professional doctor I communicated with was so helpful and attentive. The doctor knew exactly what medicine I needed. No bad judgement or stress of my situation. I felt my issue were dealt with promptly and in privacy. Price was reasonable as well. Much better and professional than UK. Will use again.

In Amsterdam & son has tonsillitis, so needed antibiotics. Good consultation at the time, but not informed that prescription costs €45 on top of €59 for consultation. Son has now been on amoxicillen for 5 days, wrong antibiotics & wrong dose! Not impressed and he is still feeling so unwell. Disappointed tourist.

Great costumer service! Was very well taken care of. Walked in after an emergency feeling extremely sick, and managed to get seen immediately. All the other doctors tailored for tourists are via appointment only. This service was extremely convenient and doctor Faloun was extremely kind and helpful.

The Doctor was very kind and listened to my symptoms. He did a thorough assessment and confirmed my suspicion of a chest infection. He then not only prescribed me antibiotics, but also other medications to ease the pain. Very thankful. Would recommend for tourists in Amsterdam (I am from Australia).

Saw the doctor this morning (Saturday) for my 2.5 year old. He was very professional and caring and gave us the meds we needed. Speedy and on time. He even had small toys for the children. I highly recommend for anyone traveling in the Netherlands/Amsterdam.
