Hectic Subway Station. Many subway lines passing through here. Times Square shuttle to Grand Central-42nd Street. The 2 train run local late at night. You will see your cast of characters at this station. The surly drunk, the belligerent homeless person, the half naked drag-queen (not as much as back in the 1980's, but they are still around), the silly group of teenagers, the native NY'er who is wondering where the hell is the train even though the count down clock says 10 minutes to the next arriving train, etc. The subway station is rarely deserted even into the wee hours of the morning. To the person who asked why the 3 train terminates here late at night. I previously worked for Transit (MTA) on the 3 line and I have no idea as well. My theory is that the 3 train acts as a shuttle to just to usher people living in Harlem to the middle of the action (42nd Street) and vice versa.
It smells like sewage. Not sure if a pipe broke, but the smell has been there, on your face, for at least a month. Every time the train comes, the smell comes even faster. I tear every time I'm at this station... and that's every day as part of my daily commute. As the Donald would say... SAD!
4 ticket machines, 2 don't accept cards, but cash slots broken, the others out of order - the man on duty cannot sell tickets. Dirty, broken, terribly organised particularly at weekends, unfriendly and dangerous - worst subway system in the world without doubt.
The elevator looks really clean. There's a handicap railing that takes you to other tran platforms. There's elevators there's 4 bathrooms and you stand in line look like steel toilets they're the cleanest. Has snack newsstand about 4
Five stars. One for each Elmo that stops you for a paid photograph. If you pay attention though, there's a real energy that you can't beat in Times Square. Avoid if you do not like crowds, advertising, or America.
Major transit hub. Crazy and busy during rush hour, so know where you're going. Lots of available stairs, escalators, ramps to transfer between lines of services. Pay attention to where you're going at all times!
This is probably the busiest transportation hub in the city if not the East Coast. The cleanliness does leave much to be desired and there are a lot of mentally impaired and challenged people loitering here.
It very strange to see this area of my city so empty!! But hey, no crowds means, now you can take the best selfies, family pictures, with no one in tbe background, ok may e 2 or 3 people. …
Massive station with connection to trains and buses to almost all part of New York City. Shuttle is available to Grand Central Station. Connection to buses is available at road level.
Times Sq stop, connects to many other trains via underpass or you can exit and re-enter if you have a pass. It's often nicer to walk up top and you have better views.
Busy, vibrant and best for seeing as night sets in. Be warned about the people giving you things, then expecting a tip (cd's, lucky charms, religious artefacts etc)
This is a big one. There's a music store here, live performances, a good time when you're broke. Also a connection to the ACE with a chipper poem on the ceiling.
When you come here be ready to walk fast because they move real fast here if you walk slow you have to step aside and let them go first
I've always wanted to stand on Times Square! Now I can check that off my bucket list! It was so busy and colorful! Loved every moment!
The station itself is great. Service might be infrequent on the 7th avenue line, but decent enough to go from one place to another.
The station is amazing and since the 34St-Hudson Yards station opened, there's been less commotion on the 7 platform.
Actually not bad for a station. Wish it was as grandiose as grand central. Maybe in the far future.
After five min of a very cool view, you feel that you don't need to be There again in your life
It's always busy but always an interesting place to see, whether you are a local or a tourist.
Walking To the train after On A Monday in The Big Apple.NYC..very Nice 70 degrees weather..
It was none like no other. It was nice watching the ball drop for NewYears eve in New York.
Subways have never been my strong suite in navigating NYC, but it's a cool experience
Why does the 3 terminate here on late nights? God may only know but that is not good.
It was as touristy as you'd expect. Like Hollywood & Highland on the east coast.
Busy subway station that is relatively easy to navigate but not overly clean.
I love this place too much I love to go every day there it so much people
Station is way too huge. Too many tourists. Too many buskers. Too loud.
One of the main subway station to discover the heart of Manhattan!
Great place to visit cant wait to come back. Love New York City.
