One of the best playground parks in Hobart city, especially popular for kids birthday parties. With a gently sloped kids bicycle circuit, great slides, wooden climbing fort, a couple of swings, it's always busy with kids on weekends so it's a great place for parents with only one child or families with of a greater age gap between kids as their children will likely find someone to play with. As you can't book the tables, you might have to go in early. Free BBQ facilities also.

Fantastic local park! This fenced park has all the features and none of the gimmicks. Toilets. Free electric BBQs. Shaded seating and table area. Great playground equipment. Epic slides to more baby friendlly slides. All tied together with a railway theme - who said that Hobart didn't have a rail system worth talking about - ha haaa....

The Train Park is amazing. So many great activities and the absolute best slides in Hobart. A great track for bike / scooter riding. All close so mum and dad can watch their little ones, while they have a picnic on the under cover seating. And a great train to discover , all aboard nannies. A must do in Hobart awaits for all ages.

This little park is simply a wow.. my daughter always wants to go there, plenty of space to play, plenty of slides, big slides, swings, train, and many more. Parking is bit of problem here as not much space available due to busy street parkings but needs little effort to find one, sometimes even easy to find.

Great park! Excellent facilities (bathrooms and cooking) play equipment is great, with about 6 different slides. There's also a mini bike track designed to look like a train track that is fun to run around or ride bikes/scooters! I loved this park as a kid, and it's still an awesome place to take children!

We googled the best in Hobart and this was the first park that popped up. It's fully fenced, super clean toilets and great play equipment for kids of all ages. There is tables and chairs and even a couple of BBQs. The bike path was cool and we played for a few hours there no worries.

  • K Cooper

A grassy area with bike track, lots of little areas where kids can spread out and play, including little store fronts, a train, large play area, swings and lots of places for parents to sit. There are also toilets on site and a very long metal slide.

  • Carl Wise

Great open park with many play areas for all ages including a monster slide and bike path. Plenty of trees provide shelter and there's a BBQ and seating area for parties. Only downside is that it's a bit of a trek to get a coffee so come prepared!

  • Mark Maumill

A great park, there are 3 or 4 steep slides, good swings, a track for small bikes, a climbing structure and a small train (hence the name). Their are BBQ's under shelter and toilets. The whole park is surrounded by good fences and locked gates.

A great spot for the kids, our nearly 3 year old loved it. My only dislike was that they really should have toddler friendly toilets. My husband took my son to the toilet and not only was it difficult but disgustingly dirty …

  • Alexandra Simpson

An amazing park for all ages, my husband and son both loved it equally! Great for small little ones too, but you did have to follow them around a bit with some steps here and there. Awesome equipment and lovely area. …

Amazing kids fun park. Lots of playing tools with animals and mini train displayed for educational purposes. Love it. Just needs to repaint some of the pictures with name would be great..Recommended to go ones. …

Excellent facilities. My son loves coming here. Train park daddy...can we go train park. Big slides, undercover area, nice grassy area for picnics, toilets and of course it has a train. Highly recommend

  • Em

Great place to take children, plenty to do and lots of space to explore! Just be mindful with the younger ones as there are steep hills and playground equipment more suited for the older kids.

  • Laurentius Augustusaurus

Really cool park for kids. There's huge slides, a climbing castle, a train to play on, and a train track pathway to run around. There are also tables and bbqs if you want to stay for a meal.

  • Jose

Great park for kids. Multiple slides, swings and fun train. A train track for bikes and scooters. Shaded bbq area. Would highly recommend for kids. Also has all important toilets and bubbler

  • Rachel D

Excellent park, lots of slides, great for little kids and bigger ones, BBQ facilities and a small green area for catch plus a ring road round the green for bikes (painted train track).

  • Clint

Hobart city council needs to do alot to up the safety of the playground, soft fall mulch is non-existent around swings and bottom of slide, Definitely a lawsuit waiting to happen.

  • Melissa Boyle

Fully fenced large space with lots to play on (including a train) and a huge awesome slide! There is even a paved path with a train track painted on it for bike riding …

  • Jade Johnson

Has public toilets, a small kids park, benchs, BBQ and a spot for a nice short walk up and down a river where you cross over which is a pretty spot. All round good location!

  • Jeremy Sibson

My childhood park. Although the play equipment is excellent it's not a patch on climbing all over a real traction engine. The maypole and seesaw used to be good too.

  • Hugo Heppingstone

My child (16) got stuck in a train and had to go to hospital. If your child is older than 16 (or above 7' 4"), I do not recommend, but we still had a good time.

  • Steve Griffiths

Plenty of slides, swings, things to climb and space to run, our 4 year old loves it. Picnic tables, bbq and toilets all in good condition too.

  • Aaron Robb

Great park with lots of slides and activities for the kids including a bike track, BBQs and good toilets with changed tables in both M/F sides

Best park! Lots of slides, some steep, some gentle. Model train to play on. Toilet block for the kids. Wheelchair accessible. Amazing!

Part closed off for repairs, flat area great for picnics/BBQ - well maintained. Some sections too steep for toddlers & grandparents

  • Ash W

Great place to take the kids for outdoor fun. Heaps of slides and variety for all ages. A small track for push bikes or scooters.

  • Sarah Cantrell

Great place to bring children. Bbq facilities and lots of different things for them to play on. Toilets were very tidy and clean

  • Ryan Pauley

A good park with lots to do for all ages. Has good shade and a bathroom, but it can be busy on nice days - no surprises there.

  • Michael Wan

Nice playground with plenty of things to keep the kids busy. Clean bbq area and sheltered tables are a nice convenience too.

  • Kristy MacPhail

Fantastic park for ALL ages. (Even Mum & Dad) huge variety of play equipment and fantastic barbeque and picnic facilities.
