Update: I spoke to the practice manager, Brianna today (day after) and explained what happened. She already knew about the situation and investigated and spoke with the staff member. She was so kind and understanding with all of it. This was not the way they treat patients. I know yesterday they were vet busy and there was probably a miscommunication. Brianna helped to make me feel better. I genuinely hope this is a valuable learning experience. After we left we went strait to an emergency vet. They had my girl pulled back immediately to check her vitals and within 5 minutes they came back saying she was critical. The doctor did a quick ultra sound and found fluid in her lungs and a large tumor. She was suffering so we had to make the decision to put her down. If I'm ever in a situation where I have to take a pet to an urgent vet, I would be willing to bring them to this place because of how nice and professional Brianna is. My dog has been sick and in pain. Her pain got worse to where she was heavily panting and lethargic. We checked in at 650 pm and waited until 8. I went to the window to see what the wait time would be and was met by a woman telling me they are already closed and we need to go to emergency vet. No one called or texted me. I sat in my car with my baby panting heavily for over an hour to be turned away when we did everything they said. HEARTLESS

Went in there because puppy was sick. We did some test after they were negative we were able to come inside. Assistant was a nice lady. But when we met with the vet her immediate reaction wasn’t very hopeful she was very negative and didn’t suggest very many solutions. She said puppy had a form of pneumonia. And that we would probably have to “put her down” but not before she was having back handed comments about us buying from a breeder. Which me and my girlfriend have done our part in rescuing animals. Not that I need to explain myself but all of our animals that we currently have are rescues we wanted a specific dog and we couldn’t find it so we just went with a breeder. But anyways. So on our way to the ER she suggested for us to go to. We decided to call an emergency line for another vet. They said to bring her in before 8pm and they will keep her over night and do treatments and get her some medicine. That was last night. This morning she is eating and drinking on her own again and being playful. She is still at the facility but we’ve been getting videos and text message updates.Before she wasn’t doing any of that. I hate to be talking about someone like this especially when they are doing there job. But in this case she treated the puppy like it meant nothing to us. For that I do not recommend this clinic.

We had a very easy time making an appointment and it was a good experience from start to finish. We brought our community cat in, and unfortunately he did not come home with us because he was too sick. We received compassionate care and were greeted by welcoming, knowledgeable and experienced staff. They were so kind and sympathetic about his condition, and even made us a paw print and a nose print as a momento and his remains were treated respectfully. It was a rough day and a sad one, and they helped us through it. We will miss our little kitty friend who we fed regularly but wasn’t ours. But we felt like the staff helped us make the best decision. Would 100% use them again if we can’t get in to our regular vet. They only do urgent, sick visits, no wellness. But am so glad they were there. Our kitty got worse suddenly and that doesn’t always happen during normal business hours.

I am thrilled to find a place open late and on holidays for nonemergency care! My new rescue dog developed a respiratory infection most likely from the clinic environment where he was neutered last week, but I couldn't really take time off work. So glad I went in during evening hours. Assistant Tiffany is an amazingly kind hearted animal lover who knows her stuff. And Dr Q made me feel listened to and heard. I had to go back in the very next day because the antibiotic was too rough on my dogs stomach, but second visit was Dr G and Tiffany again, who really took the time to explain things and bond with me and my dog. This is the start of a great professional relationship. The clinic is very clean and pleasant too. 5 stars today.

OK I am sooooooooo excited to express my experience with everybody so here we go!!!!!! I have never experienced such good care starting with over the phone which lead to a young lady name Jasmine directing us to her Kingwood location. Our baby name JOKER came down with something and was having a very hard time breathing so we was in panic mode and was in need of help immediately. Once we arrived they took VERY good care of JOKER and us because at that point we needed some attention too. All I can say is don't think twice when it comes to them, if you are in need they will help you and your love pet. We are so thankful for them and as of today JOKER is doing just fine. Thanks Guys

I took my Siberian husky here tonight because she was wobbly and stumbling, looked dizzy and acted drunk. Josie, the assistant, was a big help. However, Dr. Dempsey was NOT! He gave us options and immediately said he couldn’t do it there and recommended the emergency vet down the road. But when we were ready to go, he didn’t want us to leave, then tried to argue with me about what he said. If you give me options and then say you cannot provide those solutions - what good are those options and why would I stay? I may use the clinic again simply because of Josie and the other caring staff, but if Dr Dempsey is there, I won’t.

I love this place !! It is affordable Emergency care!! The staff and Veterinary Assistant and DVM was very knowledgeable and listened when i explained symptoms and explained the dosages and sent email to my family vet and myself that days procedure and medications and diagnosis , wait time was very minimal and very friendly and even received a follow up call the next day to ask if my dog is better! Clean , Organized and conveniently located , also the hours is a lifesaver for when my family vet is not open. I give URGENTVet -Kingwood highest recommendation !!!

Always fast and very friendly service! Today I brought in my cat to have his eye checked out and Chloe greeted us as soon as we came in and had us set up in a room in no time at all. She was extremely friendly and helped us feel at ease about any concerns and the vet saw us very quickly. They’re more affordable than any emergency vet I’ve been to and the vet is always very friendly and gentle with the animals. I’ve come here a few times with some of my other fur babies when we couldn’t get into our regular vet and I’d highly recommend them to anyone!

I brought in my Great Dane because I thought she had bloat. Dr Qayum, and her entire staff, worked quickly and thoroughly to diagnose her. She ended up needing emergency surgery (which they aren't equipped for in my dogs case) so Dr Q recommended a great ER Vet to take her to for surgery. She even helped make our baby comfortable by giving her a sedative while we transported her to the ER Vet. Later that evening, Dr Q even called me to check on her and was very sympathetic after I informed her on my dog's passing. Top Notch doctor and staff.

Phenomenal service here…especially when my very special cat wasn’t feeling well, the extra care they provided… along with empathy and a thorough evaluation, truly put my mind at ease. They are very knowledgeable about cats which is so appreciated. Fantastic bedside manner, as well. I could tell that they really care about providing the best service and care possible. They even called the next day to check in on how my cat is doing. To date, I’m following all the recommended care steps and my sweet cat is starting to feel better already.

I want to share my experience at Urgent Vet, Brianna was so nice and helpful through out the experience. I went in to make sure my mini poodle was ok after being stung by a wasp while outdoors. Both Dr. Bosch and Brianna were wonderful! They provided aid exceptionally and was very efficient. They was really gentle and kind and really nurturing towards little Marla. While I had her there the process was smooth sailing. A day or two little marla felt a lot better and was her playful self again.

I would recommend UrgentVet Kingwood! I had to take my cat due to an abscess and she had stopped eating. The tech and vet were very thorough in gathering a comprehensive history and figuring out a plan that would be best for both of us. I appreciated that they explained the reasoning behind the care options and allowed me to decide before they performed anything so I wasn’t surprised at the end with a huge bill. I was able to get my girl on the mend and I didn’t break the bank!

Rudest place I’ve ever been to! No way they love animals they don’t even like people. The tech acted like she didn’t want to be there and it showed. She grabbed my fur baby by pulling the towels out of carrier and it was scraping my cats side on the carrier door. When I asked her to stop, she replied “ma’am, just let me get him out”. I told her you are scraping his side on the door! I told them let go of my cat and I left! Never to return. Not a welcoming place at all!!

Took my older cat and doctor determined it looked like cancer and gave me all my options including a referral. I took the referral and after exploring my options I took my bud home on a Friday and was going to do in-house euthanasia but he got worse and called Saturday when they opened and got booked same day to it in their office.The office care room staff and Dr was top notch and while painful I could not be happier with the overall process and pricing for services.

We took our 10 year old dog, Lexi, in last night for a broken nail down to the knuckle. The staff was so nice and inviting. Alyssa was extra informative and made us feel so at ease. The doctor was extremely nice and was there to really make the process as safe and affordable as possible. I have already told so many people about our positive experience. If we ever have an urgent care need for any of our pets UrgentVet-Kingwood is where we will be without a doubt!

Check in was fast and easy. Technician Tiffany was thorough, friendly, supportive and explained everything in clear detail. Dr.Pruitt (sp) was efficient, informative, understanding and nice. When dealing with a chronic illness pet, emergency visits take a long and stressful time. The Urgent Vet was FAST and did exactly what our elderly cat needed. Plus they provided great tips and tricks for at home care. Urgent Vet is the in-between care we absolutely needed!

We called around no other place would take us then Crosby vet suggested Urgentvet kingwood. I called and they said of course bring her in . When we got there I was so happy to see a very! Clean hospital and t h e staff greated us before we were even through the door. THANK YOU BRI for being so kind patient and caring. I hope to not go back but we have dobermans that chase just for fun, so if need be this is the only place we will take the girls. Thank you all!

My dog had Kidney disease and rapidly declined by Sunday morning. I had decided on Saturday to put her to sleep on Monday morning. Well by Sunday morning it became unbearable. So I contacted urgent Vet and they set up a time for us to come in. They were so kind and put us in a larger room( suite). It was a special area for our situation. I was so relieved to not make our baby suffer longer then needed. We’re very grateful for your help! Thank you so much!

I initially called a different animal hospital and they referred me to Urgent Vet due to them not having availability. I am very glad we went. They are quick, attentive, and care about your baby. My sweet boy is on the mend thanks to the staff here. I also love that they give quotes ahead of time so you know exactly what to expect. I’ve never been in this position before so not sure what competing prices are, but they seemed more than reasonable.

My pup is currently being treated for parvo despite being fully vaccinated. Since the first call to the clinic, all staff have been attentive, kind and caring. They have great customer service all around. The veterinarians have been transparent and empathetic. The staff have done a wonderful job of keeping us updated on our pup’s status though calls and text messages. We have full confidence that she is being well taken care of.

We took a cat there and we paid more than 1000 dolars including checking and some Xrays after 3 days our cat was still on pain and we called them to get more medicine since they gave us the medicine for just 3 days, they was going to make us pay another $100 cause the Doctor who checked our cat was not there. So all it matter for them it’s money, they don’t care about pets health … DO NOT take your pet over there.

We are beyond relieved that this place exists with after regular veterinary office hours. The staff and Drs are amazing. We had 4 senior geriatric cats that all needed assistance with the end of life tour and they were able to help us through this extremely painful and emotional experience- the facility and the staff are amazing- they did not make us feel like strangers during such an emotional life changing event

So I came in today to the vet because my for baby had some eye discharge and I couldn’t wait for his normal vet to open tomorrow. So I decided to bring him in to the Kingwood location, Josie was extremely nice, attentive, helpful, and understanding, and very friendly with our sure baby. I was extremely pleased with the service I received from Urgent Vet along with the affordable price. The Dr and assistant were very nice and thorough with my sick grand pup. I really liked the checkin on line process so we didn’t have to wait in a crowded waiting room. I also liked the smooth jazz music playing in the room. I would definitely recommend them if you are ever in need for urgent care.

I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness. In addition, a staff member immediately came out to greet me. I was informed that there may be a short wait time due to more severe patients. My dog Raider was seen this past Sunday. I didn’t know what to expect because it has been years since I needed an emergency vet for a pet. I’m glad I went there. The staff and vet were all amazing and were informative and supportive of my Raider’s needs. I felt heard and appreciated the level of care shown to my Raider. I will definitely recommend them to everyone!

Our dog had an issue with her paw that we didn’t see until our vet office was closed and it wasn’t emergency level so UrgentVet was perfect! We were seen quickly and she was given the treatment she needed. I liked that they sent us home with the medications and we didn’t need to make another stop. Everyone was friendly and we won’t hesitate to return in the future!

The staff members at UrgentVet Kingwood were all terrific in helping our dog who was very sick. They were patient with him even when he made an awful mess. The vet properly diagnosed his trouble and referred him to surgery elsewhere. Less than 24 hrs later he was home and well because of the great care he received at UrgentVet. We’d definitely go back if needed.

This is the best clinic in the Kingwood area for veterinary after-hours issues. The staff is excellent, the facility is immaculately clean, and no wait times when I have been there. The pricing is also fair. We are lucky to have this wonderful clinic near us now. If I could give it a 10 star rating I would.
