Mario is a literal life-saver! My family and I recommend him and his company - VA Electric Contracting & Maintenance - most highly. I am a senior citizen with mobility and health issues. I currently live on my own. When all the power went out in my homeon the Sunday night of the long weekend - he was the sole professional electrician who responded to my call and then generously provided me with incredible help and support. Epcor workers came to the house when I called them after the power went out at sunset, but then informed me that the 'ONLY' power they were responsible for (from the lane to the house, plus the meter on the house) was fine, and I, as the home owner, was responsible for any issues with the meter socket in which they stated some wires and connectors had rusted. They told me at 10:00PM on Sunday night of the long Victoria Day weekend, that it was up to me to find an electrician to get any power back on. They then drove off and left me to my own devices. In fact, Epcor engaged private contractors to replace their meters in this neighbourhood approximately one year ago. THESE EPCOR CONTRACTORS FAILED TO PROVIDE US WITH ANY INFORMATION CONCERNING ANY ISSUES WITH THE METER SOCKET , BUT SIMPLY INSTALLED A NEW METER INTO THE SAME SOCKET. THIS IS THE ANTITHESIS OF 'SERVICE'. Out of five 24 hour on-call electricians (3 OF WHOM WERE RECOMMENDED BY EPCOR - NONE OF WHOM RESPONDED TO MY CALL), Mario was the only 1 who answered the phone directly and provided me with instructions of how to get the power in the house back on, OVER THE PHONE AND AT NO CHARGE. ANY WORK NEEDED ON THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IN THIS HOUSE WILL BE DONE BY MARIO AND HIS COMPANY, hopefully at Epcor's expense.

Mario and his crew were great! They moved our above ground powerlines underground and updated our electrical panel. Everything is neat and tidy (even my dad, who is particular, was impressed with their work). Pierre dug the trench for us and did a fantastic job, it was a lot of work as well as he took time to explain things to us when Mario wasn't on site. Everything was easily approved that they installed and it all went smoothly. One minor hiccup with concrete that had to be moved for the underground trenching, but they referred a fantastic company to us that got it all removed and fixed without any major delays. Definitely will be hiring them again soon for some fun 1960s wiring fixes in our next renovation stage.

We were looking to install ceiling pot lights in our multi level home. Great impression right from first meeting(estimate). Mario was very knowledgeable about the latest products, ideas and up to date building codes. His quick response time to questions in person and via email with solid answers was reassuring allowing us to be confident with our decisions. His team of guys extremely polite, eager to please and respectful of your home and it's possessions. Their pandemic protocol and level of professionalism is highly above the rest. VA Electric, Mario and his staff are the BEST!! I called VA electric(Mario) early evening because a number of our electrical outlets had failed all of a sudden. I had checked the breaker and all was well He sent a serviceman at 8:30 next morning. He diagnosed and made the repair(faulty outlet that connected to 3 others)and was gone in less than an hour. Pierre, the technician is a very nice young man. His work was neat and tidy, as well as his appearance and mannerism. I would recommend VA Electric to anyone who is looking for great service and a reasonable price.

VA Electric is awesome. Mario and his crew are fast, friendly, & clean cut - the type of people you want in your home doing electrical work. They have executed a few projects in our home, 2x bedrooms with complete pot light installs, plugs, new bathroom potlights, bath fan, and toe kick lighting which Mario recommended and we love. We are starting a basement development which he is getting a call here shortly to complete. Give them a call, you wont be disappointed.

I was very happy with my experience with VA Electric, especially dealing with Mario. He was super respectful and easy to deal with. VA electric was able to help us out, as we were needing to switch out a panel and multiple breaker that were 60 years old. I really appreciated how they stuck to their original quote, even though I'm sure the job was larger than they originally expected. Such a great experience with Mario and his team! Very knowledgeable with everything up to the very specifics. They take their time and educate clients on what they are planning to do. Mario and his crew were extremely diligent working on my bathroom and laundry facility. Mario was very friendly, he listened to what I wanted, understood what i was going for and added what was necessary. This was my first reno, the thought of doing electrical work in my 1956 home was a bit intimidating, but VA Electrical made it a very easy experience with no issues.

Mario and Pierre were excellent to deal with! Really prompt in getting the work done, respectful of our home and our obnoxious dog who fancies himself an electrician. They did great work in upgrading our hot mess of a panel and did a stellar job in communicating and dealing with things out of their control (like EPCOR) and keeping us in the loop.
