I can't BELIEVE how difficult it's been to transfer a prescription from CVS to Wallgreens. After moving to Portland, I was forced to use wallgreens as there are no CVS's in the state--what a disaster! I come in on Friday around 3:30 pm to transfer the prescription and they registered me and told me it would be about 3 hours and that I would get a "welcome" text for registering with them, and the head pharmacist gave me a snarky remark about all the immunization she had to do--that's fine, I'm just trying to get my prescription filled eventually. I gave them the number of the CVS I had turned in the prescription at and left. Three hours later and no call, I call them and ask if it's ready. The response? "That pharmacy is closed". Well, seeing as they're three hours ahead of us in not surprised, but still need my prescription, so I give them a number of a 24 hour CVS. The next response from Wallgreens, "we called and were on hold for twenty minutes, and you don't have a prescription there". Well, I'm looking at my CVS online which says I do in fact HAVE a prescription ready for refill and call the same CVS myself (no hold time at all btw), it turned out they had my name under two addresses and we sorted it out immediately and he told me to have Wallgreens call him. Whelp, an hour later and still nothing, I physically come by the store to ask what's going on, and they tell me they need the store number where I turned in the physical prescription so I'll half to wait until morning as said store is closed, but they'll have it ready by 10am. The next morning, and not a single call later, I go up to Wallgreens at noon to hopefully pick up my prescription---NOPE. The pharmacist had JUST CALLED the number I gave them yesterday, only to tell me that I'd have to wait still and come back when I get a call. I'm sitting in Wallgreens right now infuriated with the fact that they're treating me as if they're doing me a FAVOR by making these calls. What a joke of a pharmacy. Hopefully I'll have my prescription today, I can only hope that they don't act like this with more serious prescriptions. I have also not gotten a single call from their automated system, and when I call to check the status of my prescription they say my phone number isn't registered. I miss CVS!
8/1/22 Having left my Rx at home while visiting Portland last week, I received stellar assistance from Caitlyn, who contacted my CA Walgreens for Rx refill info, as well as my MD for a specific med approval. Throughout our conversation, Caitlyn was patient and kind, and to top it all off she satisfied my request within a mere few hours. I wish for Walgreens to recognize Caitlyn for her outstanding customer service, and for being a shining example of what Walgreens strives to always be. :) ~Shelly 8/6/22 P.S. Upon reflection, this 70+ woman's experience at the pick-up /drop- off counter was atrocious. After a 3 min. wait w/ no employee acknowledgement of my presence and having no one in front of me, I asked the woman behind a consulting (?) window to the left of pick up/drop off for assistance and was met with a scowl, and told she was helping a customer on the phone - easily resolved by placing the ph customer on a short hold, while also asking a colleague to assist at the counter. After waiting another minute or so, I asked the clerk, a young fella serving the vaccination -covid line who was immersed w/ another customer in a complicated insurance/vaccine coverage transaction that had been going on before I arrived at the pick-up/drop off counter. When I excused myself for interrupting and asked that clerk to call for assistance, I was reprimanded and told to be patient (which I'd been for several minutes) and to "wait my turn," which was odd since I was the only one at the pick-up & drop off, so clearly I literally WAS the turn (being at the front of the line) that I'd been waiting for. After hitting a wall with the vaccination/covid transaction, and having to ask that customer to take a set while that clerk tried another tack, it was only then that the vacc/covid clerk acknowledge my presence, and w/out a "sorry about the wait" or anything resembling friendly customer service, the clerk provided me with dead-eyed assistance. So, a simple Rx pick up, turned into a blood pressure rising experience for this sr. citizen, which could have easily been resolved to my satisfaction if only one of the people I asked for assistance had asked one of their three collogues (who were in the back of the pharmacy) to assist. :( :( :( :( :( ~S
Pharmacy operator Mr. Frost is by far the worst pharmacist we have ever dealt with at Walgreens! We had to take my mother to OHSU emergency room. Had prescription called in two 1/2 hours in advance from hospital. Then called ourselves 30 minutes prior to explain we were coming to pick the prescription up before closing requesting to have it ready since we live over 1.5 hours away. The person who answered in the pharmacy said, "no problem." Upon arrival to the pharmacy 10 minutes before closing we were informed it wasn't ready... When I asked to speak with the manager, Mr. Frost appeared to tell me he didn't have time to fill it & we would have to come back the following day! I explained that we called over 2 hours prior, then upon traveling to the location we called again to ensure pick up, were told it would be ready & he proceeded to tell me that it wasn't & that was too bad there was nothing he could do. His attitude was belligerent, RUDE, careless & disrespectful. We have been Walgreens customers for over 20 years & this was by far our worst customer service experience yet. My mom needed that medication that night & had to suffer through until we were able to get it recalled into the 24 hour Rite Aide that then filled it in the middle of the night. As a result, we have moved most of our family prescription services over to another store.
Was gifted some razors recently but they were the wrong heads for the razor I use. Since the item was a gift, I wasn't given a receipt. The person who got them for me told me they bought them at this particular Walgreens so I thought I'd try my luck and see if I could exchange them for the correct razors. I called ahead because I wasn't sure on the return policy, the gentleman who answered the phone told me I could come in and exchange them for in store credit, and use that credit to purchase the correct razors. So, I take the thirty minute bus ride, and walk up to the counter. The guy whom I talked to on the phone was there and told me he just needed a manager approval and I could exchange the item. The shift leader, a Katie Smith, looked me up and down and then told me the policy had suddenly changed, that without the receipt there was nothing they could do. I was a bit perturbed, so I asked for the corporate office number. Twenty minutes later, she came out of the back office where she was no doubt practicing her stellar customer service, and handed me a barely legible phone number scribbled on a piece of paper. Thanks Katie! You're the best! Hopefully Walgreens will continue to hire inept livestock to handle it's business.
I have never been to a worse pharmacy. Pediatrician sent Rx. This Walgreens (W) said they didn't have it. Pediatrician sent it again. Tech said they still hadn't received it. I insisted that they look again. Tech dug in computer system for a long time and said they had it, but couldn't fill it because the pediatrician wrote the Rx incorrectly. Tried to clarify how (as this is an Rx the pediatrician has written successfully for several years with other pharmacies) so the pediatrician could correct it. Got nothing useful. Nurse at Dr. Office agreed to call. Was on hold for 3 hours, and gave up 30 minutes after the pediatrician office closed for the day. Nurse was able to get Rx written "correctly" the next day but then they didn't have the meds, didn't tell us, and didn't order them. I found out when I went to fill Rx several days later. Child was without meds for 5 days. And when we wen finally pick up the Rx, despite being handed the new insurance card, they tried to bill our old insurance and told us the med wasn't covered. Then another Rx was called in by accident (I did not want to return) and now they've decided to call repeatedly to tell me they don't have the med. Oh, the irony.
The rude unhelpful staff in the pharmacy DO NOT deserve any stars--their website is misleading stating they are "open 24 hrs", and desire to be a preferred pharmacy. As a physician calling in a prescription for a very ill infant, whose mother went to this pharmacy because their website indicates they are open 24 hrs, I was chagrined to experience the unprofessional, uncaring, jaded attitude of the pharmacist and his staff as I plead with them to help this mother. They were unwilling to extend themselves to fill a prescription for this mother who was at the store, because there was 5 minutes before their pharmacy closed at 10 PM; no apology that I had to wait 5 minutes on the phone before the pharmacy would answer my call, no compassion for a mother with an ill child having to travel over 10 miles to another pharmacy that was open 24 hrs. Tsk, tsk. They should clarify on their website that their pharmacy is only open to 10 PM and back up their claim to desiring to be a preferred pharmacy. I would strongly recommend shopping at any other pharmacy. Perhaps their attitude toward the community and their customer base will change when they feel it in their pocketbook.
The staff at this Walgreen's sure try hard. The pharmacists are well-meaning and caring. It's the pharmacy management staff who handle the ordering and inventory at this store who cause regular hassles for regular customers. If you're planning to making this your regular pharmacy, expect to spend a couple hours each month making sure the pharmacy is carrying your medications, in sufficient quantities to fill your prescription, at the right time to satisfy the dispensing restrictions set by your insurance company. YOU'LL need to do this because repeated attempts to set up an ordering schedule with management will - if your experience is anything like mine - result in little to no help from them. I've used other pharmacies, and generally have had good experiences with the store's pharmacy manager agreeing to plan for some of my family's not-so-common but regular-use meds. I cannot say the same for the manager at this particular Walgreens. I've already worked with this store longer than I should have. For 2009, I think I plan to take my pharmacy business elsewhere.
Utterly incompetent pharmacists work here. I tried to pick up my birth control prescription a few weeks ago, was made to wait over an hour after they said my prescription was there, only to be told that turns out, they only had enough to do a partial refill and could give me the rest later. I said “ok, but please make a note in my chart somewhere that you’re handling things this way, via a partial fill” because I just knew things would get messy with a “partial fill” and they’d screw something up. In an attempt to avoid that, I reminded them TWICE before I left that day to please put a note in my chart. Well, I just tried to pick up the rest of my prescription today and they had no record of the conversation we had just a few weeks ago or the fact that they’d only treated my pick-up that day as a partial fill. They assumed I’d picked up the whole prescription. Pharmacists make how much per year? And yet this one is too incompetent to make a simple note in a patient’s chart? Even after that patient asked her to make the note and reminded her twice? Pathetic.
I like this location, they're super nice here, people steal from them like crazy though and I really wish they would put their feet down, at least confront some of the thieves that walk out blatantly with product in their hands, knowing that no one's going to chase after them. I just think that's really awkward. I guess there is no chase policy but, at least speak up, I guess I can't even confront them? Yikes. So that's really sad, a lot of Walgreens in Portland are closing down one by one because of theft issues, and as Portland gets more and more disgusting, and all these neighborhoods go downhill pretty quickly, I am just watching these Walgreens close one by one by one and go downhill. It's really sad! Get some security or something, and for crying out loud would you guys please verify some of these edits. For instance right now you guys have it accepted when someone obviously did an edit with google, that you are temporarily closed. That is not good for business. Come on guys, I still give you a four-star but you have to get it together
I've never had a pharmacist hang up on me, until today. They sold me a prescription without telling me that it was for three days and not 30 as my doctor had prescribed. I get that it's ultimately the insurance company's fault, but before I paid for the medication, the pharmacy could have told me that what I was buying was one tenth what I was expecting. I never would have paid for it if I had known. When I called to complain, the pharmacist hung up on me. Seriously. Just hung up, even though I never raised my voice or made any personal attack. Guess he was too busy to be bothered with human beings. I called back to speak to the store manager, who was nice enough, and he did say he would speak with the pharmacist about it, but he did not follow up with me. Never going back. Would recommend that no one else go there either. Plus they're severely understaffed. I waited on hold for 15 minutes before speaking to anyone. There is always a line at the store and only one or two people working.
I have traditionally loved Walgreens, I’ve been trying to make it work with this location for over a treat and I’ve finally given up. The store is never well stocked, the actual pharmacy is awful. I called my prescription in the day before, showed up when it was supposed to be ready. It wasn’t. They told me 5-10 minutes. I waited, went back, a new person couldn’t even find a prescription in process. I asked what the guy did 10 minutes ago then, she had no response. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. The pharmacy seems constantly understaffed, but not only that, the majority of staff there feel no sense of urgency and seem not to care when people are always waiting and prescriptions are getting messed up, laughing and chatting amongst themselves. I’m switching to another pharmacy. This is the first negative review I’ve left, but this Walgreens has pushed me over the edge.
I ordered store pick up, was told it’d be 30-60mins. I waited before heading there and after 1 hour I got no notification it was ready. Went to the store only to be told, “The person who was suppose to fill it, didn’t do it for some reason. I can do it.” I ask how long that will take and he said, “only a couple of minutes.” I had a reservation in less than 30 mins. The guy was super quick which was great. However, while I was waiting 3 people showed up behind me. The guy returned with my items and immediately proceeded to help the person behind me. Two other cashiers showed up to help. Both of them proceeded to help the two other people behind me. When asked if I could take the items since the order was right there I was told, “Let me finish helping them (the people who were behind me in line.) I left and canceled my order.
If we’re possible to leave zero stars I would. This is the most incompetent pharmacy I have ever been to. They never have prescriptions ready even after you have received a text or email that they’re ready. They fill the wrong things. They do not take initiative to reach your doctors office until after you’ve received a text saying it’s ready, driving there, then have them tell you there’s no refills. They don’t take the initiative to ask the physicians office for a substitution when they knowingly don’t carry something, again, until you go there to pick it up. They charge you TWICE when they only provide you a partial prescription that they’ve had in there possession for days and fail to order more medication. Honestly, they should be reported to whomever oversees the competency of pharmacies, audited, and then shut down.
I typically get my prescriptions mailed to me, but twice in the past few months I had to go to this Walgreens when I ran out of something. My mailing prescription place has been useless and unhelpful, but the people at this Walgreens worked quickly and efficiently, despite some logistical issues on my and my doctor's ends, to ensure I could get my prescription. But it's more than that - they acted like they actually cared, like it actually mattered to them that I have my medicine. I know I talked to someone named Angel who was enormously helpful, but I didn't get the name of the other 3 people who also assisted during both issues, which is frustrating - they all deserved to be publicly thanked for making an effort and acting with concern. Thank you, Walgreens.
Sunday night we went to Peacock Lane which is right next to this Walgreens... we went into Walgreens because I was thirsty and myself (who is pregnant) and my 6 year old needed to use the restroom. We start walking back towards the bathroom and a very unprofessional and rude employee tells us how the restroom is “only for pharmacy customers” We had to walk across the street to the arco and the cashier there told us that all their customers have been coming to use their bathroom because Walgreens has been telling the customers that their bathrooms are not working and their is plumbing issue. That is clearly not true because I watched an employee buzz people in. I will be calling corporate because it’s very disrespectful & the whole interaction was terrible.
Terrible staff. I went in at almost 1:00 in the morning to fill an emergency prescription after leaving the ER. Google said the pharmacy was open and I also thought because it's always been a 24 hour pharmacy. I walk in and a young gal at the front was rude, said I had to give her my purse and it was store policy. I said I wasn't giving them my purse and she said I can take my wallet out. She said if I didn't I wouldn't be allowed in the store. So I took everything out of my purse and walked back just to find out the pharmacy wasn't a 24 hour pharmacy anymore. Told them up front google says the pharmacy is open and the young gal says no it doesn't, which it did. The manager than said google won't change it to not 24 hours anymore. My purse is my personal.
Hours to prep any prescription this place is a joke! It's either severely understaffed or staffed by people who only have one arm. Go in, no line, sure that'll be ready in an hour(or so). Leave your doctors office who electronically transmitted your prescription to the Pharmacist before you get to your car...show up, sure that'll be ready in an hour (or so). I suspect this is by design to give you ample time to shop, or at the very least to walk around the store with your crying children - thanks walgreens for your commitment to family bonding time. Really hope the merger with Rite Aid is approved, that'll eliminate most of the competition in this region, once the pressure of competition is gone - why not lay of staff and raise prices. Can't wait!
Pharmacy seems to be terribly understaffed. I was at the drive-in window and was told I had to wait until the line of people inside the store had been served. Another time we received an automated call that our prescription would be ready at a certain time. When I went to pick it up, I was told it was not ready and I would need to wait for it. Another time I had just brought my husband back from the hospital after surgery and was trying to fill his prescription for oxycodone. The pharmacist said it would take more than the 20 minutes before the store closed, so said he would not fill it. I ended up having to leave my husband unattended at home to drive way out to Gresham to the only 24-hr Walgreen's in the area.
This pharmacy is a joke. I’ve literally never been able to pick up a prescription WITHOUT there being a problem. Not once. Never. Something is always, always, always wrong. They either won’t have your medication, won’t have enough of it, won’t know when it’s coming, your doctor apparently “did something” wrong and they can’t fill it, or they just have neglected to actually fill it after telling you it was ready so get ready to wait even longer. This is the first public review I’ve written of anything in years, and I’m only doing so in hopes of sparing someone else the pain in the a** this place has caused me. Avoid this place at all costs. Literally any other pharmacy, any, is better.
MANAGEMENT: I can see you care more about your parking spots than servicing customers this evening. The rude employee interaction tonight and unhelpful pharmacy amazes me how the doors stay open. I do not feel safe with this environment you created. I recommend wiping the building and making it all parking. Charge per car two weeks out of the year. That is all this place is worth. No wonder all of the other reviews say the staff are incompetent. That is the best management can find with the created culture. Signs on every employees car noting not to tow… Really? What employee or customer would want to be at this place. I see why the stock is down over the last five years….
Witnessed a gentlemen politely ask a staff member what time the pharmacy opened in the morning, and the lady kept walking away from him, and said snarkily “9am”. Never once looked at the guy... the guy said “thanks so much” (in a sincere tone) - and then said “and what time do they close normally?” To which she replied “9 o’clock. It’s always been 9 o’clock in the week”. Again... no eye contact. No courtesy. No interest in the customer whatsoever. Gentleman again said “thank you so much, appreciate the info” and walked away. Your manners cost you nothing, and this lady was unpleasant and rude.
I can’t believe the unprofessional atmosphere at this pharmacy. i had an emergency prescription sent over, they claimed their computer system was too limited in prescription orders to receive it that day and to call again tomorrow. when i call the next day the entire facility is mysteriously closed without any warning or plan for getting prescriptions to people. absolutely unacceptable and u heard of. they didn’t even tell the truth about now having my script initially, because the holgate walgreens checked and could see that this walgreens had it, but were unable to access it.
Awful customer service at the pharmacy. Dropped off prescription to be filled. They told me 30-45 minutes, I come back after 45 minutes and wait in line for 15 more minutes. Get to the front, talk to the same person, hadn’t been touched, it was not ready. Three pharmacists in back just chit chatting while 15 customers wait in line and one person works at the front desk. They were not apologetic in the slightest and they expected me to just wait another 45 minutes. I said hand the prescription over I am leaving. Putting pills in a bottle isn’t complicated enough to justify this.
Tall African American man SHAMED me for getting a Plan B and was like, "the guy should pay for it! why do you even need this?"Uh....why do you think??? I cannot believe the absolute audacity and disturbing disrespect of this treatment of their customers buying a very personal item. How do you know he didn't just give me the money in the car? (cuz he did) and how is that your business as a cashier? I am stunned and will NEVER shop here again, I honestly feel like I was d!scriminated against because they didn't agree with my birth control option. Dont ever shop here!!!!
Never had a problem with this location. Been filling my scripts there for years. Just last month, I walked up to the counter with a prescription i needed filled same day. They said it would be a 30 min wait. Made sense. They were very busy. But wound up getting it in 10 min instead. The employees I have consulted were always helpful. The checkers rang me up just fine, the shelves are stocked. The store feels a little run down. Like they could use a boost from corporate. But overall, a very normal experience and when it mattered, they exceeded expectations.
The pharmacy consistently doesn’t fill my prescriptions when my physician calls them in and I have to have them call again. Huge headache, kind of incompetent on their part. Update: apparently they just ignore voicemails sometimes....cool. I argued with them this time when they said they had no record of it, turns out they did all along. Update 2: pro tip, if there is a line in the store they’ll stop servicing the drive through window. Also I’m standing here in a line of three other folks 15 minutes past the meal break time and nobody seems to be working.
No one who works here can be bothered to do their jobs. The pharmacy staff are mean-girl-to-f-tier-medico types who give you attitude if you ask basic questions "what is the cash price?" is after being told the patient portion after insurance. The cashiers are so poorly trained they have to call a manager for help with simple tasks like making change (gave her $24 in cash for a $13.98 purchase, couldn't figure out out how to make change). The store manager is a bigot. Go elsewhere if possible.
If you feel like having your rx's mishandled on a regular basis, feel free to have them filled here. The lastest mishap ended up with me talking to a pharmacy rep there who said, "I recommend that you get your prescriptions filled by someplace that is not so severely understaffed as us. We've asked corporate for help but they are not interested in doing so." That is somewhat paraphrased, but the gist is correct. I recommend going elsewhere. That is what I'm doing.
Robin and Jen and lovely people. They do their best, as does the pharmacy. Don't go into this location, or any Walgreens, during busy hours expecting to walk out in five minutes. Tough working at a high traffic store and satisfy the masses. Don't give these hard working folks a difficult time. Please be patient and understanding. When we don't get what we want when we want it this is called reality. Find gratitude within the patience you've graciously acquired.
Half the store was empty of items... There was maybe 8 items in the cold food section. I actually asked if the store was closing it's doors. Nothing was shelved in an order that made sense... The candles were with animal food, toys with dishware and the medicine was in 3 separate locations throughout the store. Plus no redbox. Never again. My Walgreens has the best customer service, selections, cleanliness, setup... Etc. Burnside & 82nd is the place to go!!!
There's a certain level of incompetence that you just have to accept if you use any pharmacy. But this one really goes above and beyond. This is the kind of pharmacy where refilling the same medication each month requires at least 3 to 4 calls, even if it's on autofill. They appear to be MASSIVELY UNDERSTAFFED. Corporate needs to send them some serious help. I will say, that despite all their issues, most of the staff are nice and really try to be helpful.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY FOR ANYTHING MORE URGENT THAN A LAXATIVE, YOU MAY NOT GET YOUR MEDICINE FOR DAYS OR WEEKS AFTER THEY SAY IT'S FILED. This is the worst pharmacy in the world. They lose your medicine, randomly pharmacy for days on end, and every single time I've gone in for a refill is been a multi day hassle. If you need your medication to function or live, get your prescription filled elsewhere or be ready to suffer without.
The amount of dysfunction at the pharmacy here is mind boggling. Always a long wait with a new employee each time that has no clue and someone yelling because they can't get their meds. I waited a day after my doctor called in a prescription hoping to not wait. No! They still had yet to fill it because they were behind. Behind a day! Everyone working here is under fire and keep their cool so if you have nothing but empathy and time this is your spot.
Consistently and shockingly poor experiences here, seems to be a different issue every time I need to pick up a prescription. Nobody knows or cares why the pharmacy isn't open when it should be, or where the rx is after sending me two texts and a voicemail stating that it's ready. Responsible for getting necessary medications to people and it's run worse than a coffee stand, needlessly creating a dangerous environment for both staff and customers.
I agree with all these terrible reviews. I'm on hold as I type.... 5th time I've called today for my prescription. My doctor called it in at 9am and left on voice-mail but they are refusing to check their voice-mail when I ask them. When I call the gal is rude and acts as if her hands are tied and tells me to call back later. When I call back I'm on hold forever until I get disconnected. Choose another pharmacy even if its further.
I've read reviews of this place and despite the not-so-good ones, I honestly found this location to be great when I had my Covid test taken for travel purposes. I didn't have a car to use for this drive-thru facility but they accommodated me.The staff were courteous throughout the appointment. Test was free and my PCR test result came out after about 2.5 days. Nonetheless, it was still a positive experience at this place.
The cashier was rude. I went in to use the bathroom but the sign said ‘no public restroom. Customers only.” So I bought a few things. Asked the cashier for the code and she said it’s only for employees. I told her what the sign said and she replied rudely. “Well YOU can’t use it”. I was being nice and she was just straight up rude from the moment I got up to the register. She was nice to everyone before me but not me.
I have used this pharmacy regularly for over 15 years. The staff are always friendly and I have never had a problem with a prescription. I often have to call my health care provider and get more info and then talk with the pharmacy to work out a problem, and they are always kind! I'm not sure where the negative reviews are coming from. I get my meds within 20 minutes. I don't think they could be much better than that!
I ordered online yesterday and went to the store to receive the goods today after they told me they had enough stock for me. However, they gave me 3 toothpastes missing and said they were out of stock and asked me to go to another store to check. I asked them to help me check which stores had stock but they refused, then they left me standing there with the package and went inside. It was truly a terrible experience
I really don't understand the extremely negative reviews for this Walgreen's. I was leery of it before moving to this side of town because of the reviews here, but I've been using this as my regular pharmacy for a few months now and have been very happy with the service. The staff have always been polite, friendly and helpful. I've never had to wait long for a prescription. It's convenient and it's Walgreen's!
DO NOT GET YOUR PASSPORT PHOTOS FROM WALGREENS. Ive had FIVE visits, across four different stores, trying to get my photos done correctly. Every store had different issues. The company is NOT training the employees on this process and you will get your photos rejected by the passport office. Everyone was well-meaning but absolutely couldn’t do the job right for various reasons. So much stress and wasted time.
The employees at this Walgreens are an absolute joke and are completely incompetent. It took them an hour to take 1 passport photo. None of them understood how to use a camera, and they repeatedly misgendered me. When corrected, an employee sarcastically apologized and kept calling me 'it' or 'subject' afterward which made me uncomfortable. Go anywhere but here, these people ruined my day.
One of the employees here was wearing a face shield, but no mask. Does she know that her germs & Respiratory droplets can spread underneath a face shield? She might as well had not been wearing a mask. This makes me very uncomfortable, and it just shows that this Walgreens does not have a very strict covid policy. Not to mention she was rude. Americans are just not smart people
The store is always a mess. The staff are unhelpful and unaware. The pharmacy is terrible. I called to check on a prescription and they said it was ready for pickup. I went the next day to pick it up and was told it wasn't ready but would be in 20 minutes. I left and came back 30 minutes later and was told it wasn't ready and it would be about 20 minutes. These people ar horrible.
Get mislead by the pharmacy techs and talked to like children. Pharmacist can’t be reached. Customer called and was told they had her medicine only to get there and be time to call ahead next time. Rather than call my doctors office like they have in the past, I’m asked to after waiting 45 minutes to line to go ahead and call them and figure it out myself. Absolute joke.
If you ever wondered what it would be like to visit the set of “ The Walking Dead” wonder no more. The poor souls that work the prescription counter look like they have been continuously berated by management for so long that any reward their jobs held has sailed years ago. There slogan should be : Walgreens! Where service is a work we use. Good luck shoppers!
They insisted I leave my purse behind the counter they felt that it was a too big of a bag to carry in the store the employee acting as though I was going to be stealing something even though it was a nice Coach purse I'm dressed nicely clearly getting off of work I don't know anyone that would leave their purse behind the counter while they go shopping
I wanted to buy some head phones not even 10 mins ago and had to wait on someone to feel like doing their job. Then the one person that decided to do her job because none of her other co-workers did, she gave attitude because she had to grab some keys. Then the elderly lady started getting upset when she realized her "nice voice" wasn't working on me.
If there was an option for negative 5, that would be a start. The staff is the most unhelpful and rude group in the service industry I have ever encountered. Additionally, the store staffing is set up to fail with only one pharmacist on staff at a time. I waited at least an hour for a vaccine and watched 20 people come in and be helped before me.
Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere if you need to fill a prescription. Drive through lines are long, staff is surly, and they regularly mess up prescriptions. So frustrating! We’ve decided to switch our prescriptions to a pharmacy with competent staff. Go anywhere else but here. Not all Walgreens pharmacies are terrible, but this one is.
Tried to fill a prescription here that I called in previously and when I arrived they hadn't even started processing it. I was literally crying because I needed this perspiration for a serious medical issue and they were rude to me and told me that it would take 2 hours. It's been 4 hours and my prescription still isn't ready....
I used this pharmacy because it was close to my house but after multiple instances of them giving me the wrong information, not calling back, delaying my meds for days because of their disorganization I have to go somewhere else because I can’t trust them to be professional. It’s disappointing that they run a pharmacy so poorly
PLEASE AVOID THIS WALGREENS AT ALL COSTS The place is filled with negligent staff whom tell you one thing and then do another. I tried to ignore the other negative reviews, but this store lies to you and takes no accountability for leaving you without a medication you need (for a disability) that they have in stock. O STARS
Walgreen's seems to be completely uninterested in any kind of customer service. One location was completely shut down (just a sign taped to the door) and when I tried to transfer my Rx to another location they couldn't figure out how to do it and said if I was dissatisfied with their service I could just go elsewhere. Wow.
Worst pharmacy ever. Super slow even if you're the only one in line. Untrained staff. Sent me home with the WRONG prescription and my partner had a separate incident where they actually yelled his private prescription information for the whole store to hear. The convenient location isn't worth the headache and aggravation.
The security guard their profiles people and makes some people take their bags and put them in the front of the store while others shop in the store with their bags on person. The staff are friendly but they also profile people by the way they look. Wouldn't recommend going there if you had your purse or backpack with you
Transferred a medication to them and was not told they no longer take my insurance. Got my prescription in and was pressured to pay full price for it. Now I'm stuck going without my medicine. Thanks for nothing Should have mentioned this when I Saud my insurance instead of expecting me to pay full price. That's deceitful
I call in my prescription and said it would be ready tomorrow and I call back the next day it was closed I had ran out of my medicine and I be coming here for about 8 years.I was so proud of this and now it going down hill fast and that's sad because the workers are nice I used to give 5 ⭐ but today 2 pay your stuff.
Shelves are half empty, understaffed. Pharmacy is sorely understaffed so takes ages to get your Rx. Tonight pharmacist tech packed up my stuff, I paid and I headed home only to find out that she had not put the actual prescription into the bag! What a waste. Nice but totally overworked! Come on Walgreens!
Horrible experience. They just took my credit card at the pharmacy window without verifying medicines. Gave us the wrong thing and refused to return it, even though I hadn't driven away yet. Second time that this has happened. I've been a loyal customer for years out of convenience, but I won't be back.
Very helpful friendly late night staff! I came in to buy some sleeping masks I saw on their website, buy one get one 50% off. The aisle didn't indicate such, and the price was slightly higher, but the kind manager nearby said it'd be resolved at the register, and it was, no problem! …
This was my go to drugstore before my insurance changed. It is clean and well stocked. The pharmacy can get busy during peak hours, but they have a drive through so you can just sit in your car if you prefer. A pharmacy tech helped me select a BP monitor during a very stressful pregnancy.
Cashiers at Walgreens are generally friendly and helpful. This store is in my neighborhood. It is a high traffic area and the staff have their fair share of shenanigans to deal with from the public.. but even so they find the time to smile and be kind. I appreciate that. Thank you!
This pharmacy used to be awful, took forever to get a refill, everyone stressed and shorthanded but it seems to be better. I don't know if they have better staffing ratio or more knowledgeable staff but the turnaround is better and staff is much more friendly and helpful!
They have a good nail polish selection BUT, the costumer service is terrible and one girl only wears a face shield and no mask, totally unsanitary and shes also very rude. Do not recommend. Do recommend there nail polish selection its 5 stars, the other this are star.
pharmacy told me 10 minutes... 2 hours later they tell me they don’t take my insurance. now taking hours to transfer my prescription... not answering the phone at the pharmacy. i’m literally dying waiting for their negligence. f*** this pharmacy don’t go through this.
Worst pharmacy in Portland. Located less than a half mile from me but have to switch because of incompetence. Having the date of prescription arrival change more than four times without any notice or effort from staff is infuriating. They should shut this place down.
I just called the store looking for elbow compression sleeves. The person who answered the phone was courteous and went and looked for my item. Came back on the phone with the different types they had, the prices AND are holding one for me at the counter. Good Job.
Do not go to this Pharmacy. It is like the wild west. The staff is TERRIBLE, rude, and unprofessional. How is there such horrible management at this location? Who is hiring these people? What a sad display of business ownership, the company should be ashamed.
This location is NOT open 24hrs anymore!! It was an inconvenience driving specifically to this store only because maps said it was 24hrs and then finding out it was NOT!!! My rating is not for the Walgreens service but for maps not ha ing up to date hours!
I would give 0 stars if I could. They never have my scripts ready, the cost is always changing, they are slow and short staffed, and they continuously put you on hold. They don’t answer the phone AT ALL, just pick up and put you back on hold.
Don't list your pharmacy as open if your closed for a hour for lunch. Either hire the staff to say open or change your hours online. You lost a costumer forever. Completely wasted by time. There are plenty of other places to buy antibiotics
I find these reviews questionable. This store has always been clean, very friendly and helpful. I have been coning here since I moved here in 2011, and my mother has gone to the store since it was constructed and never had any complaints.
More like WalGROAN. DO NOT bring in film to get developed here. The person that helped me initially gave me a "promise by" date of Dec 1st but told me to call before I came to pick up my photos. After doing so I was told "They're still
I called 30 mins before they closed and was told to hold. They put me on hold would pick up and put me back on hold by the time they answered my call the guy rudely told me to call someone else the close in a min and he don't have time.
Best price on water that we could find in town other than Costco. Staff was helping at helping us with bathroom code and with the kids who had some trouble entering the numbers in. Came here some good doughnuts and chai at Pips.
Don't go to this store the employees that work there discriminate against loyal paying customers because of the color of their skin and because they wear blue in their store Don't give them your money they are trump supporters !
Half the stock is empty here and the old lady at the counter was extremely rude and unhelpful when I asked a few questions about Polaroid film. Fred Meyers answered my questions no problem and pointed me to the correct product.
Worst pharmacy ever. Took 3 hours to get my prescription. Was told it would be ready at 4:00. Showed up at 4:00 and the pharmacy manager said it would 10 more minutes. Had to wait for over another hour. Not recommended at all.
staff is horrible. rude and holier than thou. really? I was just following the websites to your 24 hour pharmacy that actually isn't a 24 hour pharmacy. when I tried to be helpful, I was treated like a child. NO THANKS!
This pharmacy is NOT 24 HOURS and hasn't been for OVER A YEAR. I found that out after driving out there with pneumonia in the middle of the night. The store is still open 24 hours, but I repeat, the pharmacy is not.
Needed a refill, took a week to fill, was told it was due to a "pharmacist from hell" and that they were 150 prescriptions behind multiple days. Absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL and stay away from this place at all costs.
Pharmacists aren’t there during pharmacy hours, took multiple days for my script to get filled in the first place, and then they’re simply not there. Not a good look, medication is needed and withdrawal is real.
I put one star because there isn't negative stars. I've never had a problem at any other Walgreen's. The situation with post of opening of the pharmacy is bad enough. The way the staff acted was inhumane.
Walgreens Drugstore is known for 24 hour needs, like cold meds at midnight, but that's about the only reason I'd ever come back here. The store is dirty and cluttered and the staff is unhelpful, and curt.
Their pharmacy closed on Saturday 9/23 with no notice on the website or phone voicemail. As of 9/25 they are closed "until Tuesday or Wednesday." My prescription was just stuck here. Very unprofessional.
I never leave reviews but I’m not kidding when I say it is mind blowing how friendly the workers are. Right hand to god I’ve never had a better experience at a Walgreens. Go here, you’ll be blown away.
How can you have a pharmacy that’s rarely ever open and takes two hour lunches ?? Seriously , people need medications we can’t be editing multiple days to pick up our prescriptions. Very upsetting
Wasted my time by refusing to sell me a photo I had printed because it looked like a passport photo. I guess it cut into their overpriced passport photo profit. Rite-aid down 39th had no problem.
This pharmacy is a joke. They have no idea what they are doing. They also seem to enjoy being rude and disappointing customers. It's hard to understand how they manage to always be understaffed.
I do not recommend the pharmacy at this location. Trying to speak with someone over the phone is impossible. When trying to go through the drive thru there is usually no pharmacist available.
OK, I understand that sometimes you’re afraid to get a flu vaccination, but the professionals at Walgreens know how to give a painless injection. I’m a retired nurse, trust me!!!
Needed a prescription filled hurt my knee i can barely walk they said they would text me when it was ready. They text me at 6:51 and the pharmacy closes at 7 thanks for nothing
I've never had to wait this long for a pharmacy. I kid you not, I waited for an hour in the drive thru lane, and I was about the sixth car. 10 minutes per car...unbelievable.
False advertised prices. Overcharged. The lazy employees and the manager need to get their stuff together, as this place is getting more negative reviews, and well deserved.
The pharmacy at this location is absolutely incompetent and they rarely have my prescription in stock. I have never refilled a prescription without their being an issue.
Fast, professional service and a comfy waiting room for the pharmacy with a wait list screen telling you when your script is ready. Overall a very positive experience.
I don't know how they stay in business. Shelves are at best half stocked. I went to buy some nail clippers. See attached photo, should tell you all you need to know.
Don't schedule covid test here unless you wanna be late for work. You show up 5 min before appt time and there's a huge, slow line of cars and noone to talk to.
There's too much wrong to bother listing here. Fire and replace everyone here, or this is going to the corporate. They must be made aware of this incompetence.
