DO NOT go to this hospital if you care your pets! I had a month long "treatment" (3 visits) to this animal hospital just to find out this place was completely a waste of my time and money (especially Dr Milan). Let me explain you why: April 28th. I found a spot of hair loss and some red area around my cat`s neck. The doctor just checked her red spot WITHOUT ANY LAB TEST and concluded that it was bug bites irritation, so I was prescribed 6 months of Revolution drop for $139 (now that I think of it, 6 months of drops are very OVERSELL) and "call us if it gets worse". May 11th. The hair loss of my cat got worse, accompanied by dandruff and skin peeling. This time Dr Milan took us. Because I mentioned the fact that I had a rush break out myself as well, and I have been trying antifungal shampoo and spray on the cat, she then sold us "stronger" antifungal shampoo and spray. She did mention that we could do fungus culture to find out what it was, but since it took 3 weeks to get the result, I rejected it. I didn't want to wait for 3 weeks to treat my cat properly. This trip cost me $128. Later I learned that there is relatively cheaper microscope check through which you will get result right away, but Dr Milan never mentioned it. Jun 2nd. During almost about a month of treatment, the skin condition of my cat just keeps getting worse. I finally decided to stop following Dr Milan`s treatment. I did some research online, consulted my vet friend, changed cat food due to possible allergy, and switch to another spray which actually worked. However, I was met by Dr Milan`s attitude that the spray that I bought and actually worked was just saline water, it was a "waste of money" (her word) and the food I switched to (blue buffalo) is "the worst that any vet would not recommend". Then she started to sell the 3 weeks fungus culture even though the result can come negative due to over a month of fungal treatment. I rejected it since I really don`t see the point of this, then I was told Dr. Milan had an emergency visit that she had to go. It was an overall very disappointing experience. Seems like they avoided every cheap and quick possible way to keep you going back to spend more money. I am writing this more because that my poor cat went through over a month of futile treatment. I hope people really think twice before they choose this place. In the end, the sassy attitude and bad owner shaming was really unnecessary and very unprofessional.

Thirty years ago I moved to Houston and needed to find a vet for my cat. After researching a few of the clinics nearby, I chose one that was a little bit further away due to the instant connection of the vet techs the second we went into the exam room. When Dr. Milan walked in and spoke to my cat, it was like they were communicating with each other. Amazing. Three cats and three dogs later, we are still thrilled with our decision due to the years and years of care and attention given to our pets. We have used their boarding facilities as well and know they receive love and attention while they are there. During the flooding of Harvey, we had to relocate and they helped us remotely to find a AAHA vet and monthly meds since we were displaced for months. Due to the covid situation, my son and his wife came to live with us for a few months along with their two cats. After a lengthy self-quarantine, we had their cats examined and yearly vaccines were given while we waited in our car. It was so nice that after the exam, we received a personal call from Dr. Box and she not only gave a recap of their health but also discussed their personalities with my daughter-in-law who really appreciated her assurances and time. If you have a new pet or looking for a vet, look no further. We truly love our vets at WAH.

I think this local vet clinic needs to improve a lot in customer service. I called to see if they had any walk in and Heather was very impatient rushing me over the phone asking for patients name and I wasn’t even a patient. Heather didn’t let me explain what I was looking for and She said she was honest with me saying “any place won’t accept walk in is”, it can be true, but that wasn’t the point. The 3 community buildings across the street probably would have at least 500 dogs and they could get a profit of it if they were interest in boost their online presence by reading and seeing what reviewers can tell about this business. I thought I caught her in a bad day but seems like it wasn’t just me. I’m sad to give that kind of review, I avoid to be the “Karen” however I hope this helps to improve a business somehow.

We've been bringing our 6 dogs and one cat over 20 years now to Drs. Milan and Wise (and now Dr. Box). Their skill, thoroughness, and compassion for animals and their owners is matched only by the staff, starting with Charley and continuing through the technicians. We now drive out of our way from another part of the city to have our dogs treated there, and whether it's a measure of their disposition or the care of the staff (or maybe some of both), our poodle puppies actually LIKE going to Wilcrest Animal Hospital. I saw another post about the cost of treatment, and I do agree that any pet owner should get an estimate of cost before having any pet treated as costs can be high, especially for testing. That being said, I'd recommend Wilcrest Animal Hospital highly.

These guys are great. We have been going here for over 4 years and I love dealing with everyone at Wilcrest. We have 3 dogs so we visit pretty frequently, and they are supper attentive to each of my dogs needs. My biggest dog (70lbs) can sometimes be a pain when it comes to routine exams, but Jen works miracles with him and somehow keeps him calm. The reception staff are always welcoming and get me into a room quickly, so I'm not waiting around the reception with anxious dogs. The Dr's take the time to answer any concerns I have and never rush me. They even let me bring the dogs in to get weighed whenever I want, so I can make sure they are at an ideal weight. I love taking my dogs here and my dogs love the attention and treats they get at every visit.

We are getting a new puppy and was researching vets in my area. I called Wilcrest Animal Hospital to get information and pricing, and the lady was very snooty and annoyed that I was her so many questions about costs. She said that if I was looking for an affordable or low-cost vet that they were not the place for me. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I told her that money was not an issue, I just wanted to understand the costs to get a frame of reference. She rushed me off the phone after that. Talk about the worst customer service. No way would I give them any of my money ever if they had such a "throw-away" attitude for customers. I don't care that you're an "AHA" certified whatever. Would not recommend!!

I love Wilcrest Animal Hospital so much. Dr. Milan is a GREAT vet - and her care for all of my animals and foster is just plain excellent. Her intelligence, common sense and passion for extraordinary animal care is just terrific - from puppyhood to elderly love and compassionate care. Dr. Milan, all the WAH vets and staff are just top notch. They give good choices and great care of your animals - including boarding. Dr. Milan is also very generous with her time and services to the community and foster pup care that I do. Five plus stars for WAH - it's top notch. I have sent so many friends here - and they all LOVE Dr. Milan and WAH.

They saw my dog 5/2021 & I paid for the Occult Heartworm test, in order to get a prescription for my dog’s heartworm med. The test is good for a year. I placed an order on-line for the med. When the provider called to check the prescription, Wilcrest Animal Hospital declined to fill it & told them that they had no record of my dog!!!!! Thinking it was a simple misunderstanding, I called WAH. Nope, they are refusing to fill it & made my status “inactive” because I asked them to quit sending me emails & text messages. I paid for a test, & they are refusing to approve the med?!?!? Is this even legal? This place is one giant money grab.

My dog has had a host of problems for the past two years. I suppose this comes with age, but it still isn’t easy to see your baby aging. Dr. Milan and Dr. Wise have been with Gorg through every issue. Their diligence in a couple situations has literally saved my dog from having major expensive problems. They accommodate him so well with every visit (especially when he’s boarded) and the emotional support from the staff and doctors is priceless. Come to Wilcrest Animal hospital if you value doctors and technicians who have loads of experience and professionalism and have your pets best interest as a number 1 priority.

I took my fur son, King, for his first visit. He is always nervous, since he had surgery, and this day was no different. After coaxing him out of his kennel, he peed all over the floor. I was upset and embarrassed. The assist was cool and just got it up. They were so kind although King was not very pleasant. I never understand how such a small dog can have such a big attitude. If you are looking for a great office with great people that care about the furry member(s) of your family.....look no further!!

Highly highly recommend. I'm very skeptical of animal hospitals in general. However the wonderful staff here we're extremely patient and understanding and they have something that is lacking in most pet hospitals. They care. They have compassion. Thank you for what you did for us Melinda. We will never forget it. I will always bring all my pets here and will highly recommend this place to any friends or family. We miss you Rocky.

UPDATE* DON'T COME HERE TRYING SOUND LIKE YOU DID ANYTHING,YALL ARE HOSPITAL AND TURN AWAY A SICK PATIENT, PUT IT ON YOUR SITE THAT YOU ONLY DEAL APPOINTMENTS NOT WALK IN, 1/2 ⭐To give one star is even too good, I brought my cat as an emergency case they told me only appointments turning a sick patient, wow that like a doctor turning a patient away, lockdown as taught the human population to lose all sense love.

I refuse to take my pets anywhere else. The people working here genuinely care for your pet. They were extremely patient with my very scared=aggressive dog throughout his visits here, until his final days came. they will now be taking care of my new puppy throughout her life as well. I can’t say enough good this place, They are truly equipped for what they do & with the added bonus of truly caring people here!!

Wilcrest Animal Hospital is the best. The staff was so friendly. Our sweet Ollie (Cat) was so nervous to go in for his appointment and they were so patient with Ollie. They were very good at communicating what they were doing and how to care for him. The answered all my questions and were very professional. I would recommend Wilcrest Animal Hospital if you want the best service and care for your fur family.

So grateful that I can trust my dogs with Dr. Milan and the Wilcrest team. Their knowledge and thoroughness have saved me so much stress and heartache, and they’ve provided excellent preventative care plans specific to each pup based on their individual needs. Despite having a rough start before their rescue, my dogs are now as healthy as ever after visits with Dr. Milan!

These people are AWESOME!!!! Warm, friendly, accommodating, and SO KNOWLEDGEABLE!!!! I have used them for dog care for 20+ years. Val, Charlie, and Christi have always gone above and beyond to assist me with anything I need. The doctors are are progressive in vet care and very aware of each breeds needs. I wish my doctors office was as great as Wilcrest Animal Hospital!

This picture may not seem like a lot, but when I first adopted my sweet Ranger in June 2021 he was diagnosed with heart worms. Since he’s been going through treatment with Dr. M. Wise over the past few months, finally as of November 1 he was able to meet his very first friend. That is everything for me she saved my sweet boys life, there’s no price on that.

They did not use the food we provided or as instructed. Puppy was thinner when returned to us. The veterinarian also scheduled a time time to speak with me about it and did not follow through. They were previously reliable and good with our other dog. I do not trust the new staff.

I’ve gone to them 3 times, all emergencies and had them ignore me or act as though I’m trying to rob them and force me out of the door. Last time was January and I had a pregnant kitty. Worst animal clinic ever. How do you report clinics? So they have a board?

We always take our pups here. The doctor listens, is very experienced and has accommodated an emergency for our 14 year old boxer. They are wonderful!

Dr. Box does an outstanding job caring for our eight rescues. Plus, the staff goes above and beyond their duty caring for every animal and client.

I haven't had the need to take my cat here but I called to ask a question and the lady that picked up the phone was so kind and helpful to me!
