I just wanted to update my review as holiday season is my favorite season to shop at world market. I used to shop at the flagship original World Market in San Francisco and they had a massive, perfectly curated food and wine department. I have yet to find another world market with that vast of an assortment, but our Seattle store does very well with the space they have. During the holiday season, you will find every European cookie, cracker, (yes, Christmas crackers not biscuits, which this store year-round always has proper English biscuits!!) You’ll find other countries also, but this time of the year it is the European assortment that is wonderfully staggering. The staff have always been helpful as I often order online and pick up, once a 50lb planter and the staff were prepared and even jovial as they helped me get it into our SUV. If you’ve never shopped World Market, please give this store a try. Just two blocks north of Pike Place. It doesn’t get all the traffic I think it should!

I love the products at world market but when I recently tried to return a lamp shade I was disappointed with the service I received. I unfortunately misplaced my receipt but I had the tag of the item and the card I used to purchase it. Their system could not find the record. The nice gentleman at the register called for help. The woman who came to help acted irritated and flipped the register screen toward me and said see we don't show an amount for that item. I said well I guess I will keep the shade and buy a new lamp. She also asked me if it was a buy one get one free. Do they do that? I've never seen a buy one get one free on lamp shades but that would be a hell of a deal. I will continue to shop here but I will be sure to keep my receipts. Also the dark haired lady that works at the register is really nice and helpful. She was with someone else during my situation. Also some of the men around the store are friendly and nice.

Parking attendant doesn't understand validation. I went today to pick up an area rug for a family member. I parked in the garage and went directly to the counter for pickup. After checking paperwork on the order and getting my parking ticket stamped (validated), I went back down to go meet the gentleman at the loading dock. I was on the premises MAYBE 15 minutes, but when i tried to leave the attendant said I owed $4 for being onsite 0-30 minutes. I explained that, "No, your sign says the first hour is free with validated parking". We went back and forth on this, and even after I left I don't think she understood. Either she doesn't understand validation and is charging customers incorrectly or she's trying to make a few quick bucks on customers who aren't paying attention. Either way, I'm disappointed in my experience at World Market today.

This place is fun to just look at stuff. Their seasonal products are amazing as well as international snacks. Check out their clearance sections in the back left corner for a good deal. Why I come here - marzipan, Maggi seasoning (they have the domestic AND the imported stuff. Get the imported - it is so much better tasting), Haribo, GREAT place for stocking stuffers. Anything from stupid kid glasses, chocolate money aka "gelt", lebkuchen(!), mini liquor bottles. I love this place. One star removed only because I've had some issues with their furniture. I got one that was defective, went back, got a replacement which then broke within 2 months. Just be wary, the quality is a bit lacking.

If you need authentic Italian ingredients and/or are a truffle lover, go check this place out. After spending some time in Italy, I wanted to cook authentic Italian cuisine and this place had some that I was looking for. Also, they have various selections of International food that I enjoyed shopping there. As a big truffle fan, they have good snacks and anything that has truffle in it (i.e. truffle gnocchi, truffle salt, etc.). Besides of the two reasons, they also have furniture, tableware, and items to decorate home. Last but not least, if you join their membership you get 15% off. Also, they have parking spot for their customers.

My favorite place for European snacks. Specially during Christmas time things remind be of home. I love German ginger cookies, mozart chocolate, tea collections and much more. Also recently discovered Irish truffle chips Keoggs! They are so delicious. Some things are seasonal there like a lot of Italian easter biscuits and cakes, french jams and holiday specials. They also have very cute decorations!!! Scottish butter cookies, french Bon Mamane jams, French Madeline's, Belgian waffles, Ritter Sport, Daim and much much more!

Remember Clearly Canadian sodas? World Market has them!! What a throw back -- had to buy the blackberry and peach, but all flavors were available. This store has everything you didn't know you were looking for and unique versions of ordinary things on your housewares list. Lots of cool, affordable furniture and a huge selection of decorative pillows and other furnishings. But this trip I was satisfied with some 90's era soda drinks and some cool snacks. Extend your walk through Pike Place Market give this place a browse.

I both live and work in Pike Place Market, and on days I sell well, I often reward myself with additions to my newish apartment. Today was a new teak cutting board, and the digital coupon I had kept balking at being processed. The gentleman I often encounter at the sales desk more than bent over backwards graciously to circumvent the issue, and at 74 and semi-retired, that discount is hugely appreciated. Thank you for having a caring staff with great attention to detail.

This is the standard World Market like anywhere else. The same type of items you find in the store, and the same type of service like any other Cost Plus. The only experience we had there was the toilet had no toilet paper. There were six people waiting in line for a tiny little bathroom. And no toilet paper. Pretty sure the store sell toilet paper too, and the only takes a minute for the store manager to load it up, but nobody else wanted to do it.

Now, it's easier to get to. The construction leading to the Western Ave ramp is all done. Good street parking in front of the store, but I hope the tourists never figure that out, lol!! The store has been reorganized, so most all food and candies are as you enter the store. Specialty foods and candles are still my go-to. So many holiday food gifts, you can't go wrong. The lines are longer now so prepare your coupons before you get to the register.

I change my table napkins for every season and most holiday's they have every color $9.99 the red and pink from Cost plus Omg! It's Valentine's 2022 still no Love for me yet! Nonetheless I know he is coming soon into my life. We will enjoy these designs! Now it's time for Fall and the Seattle Seahawks season...♥️ Just did a quick scented pine cone (Safeway) update as well as colorful Christmas trees (target) so beautiful for fall and winter!

  • Kristie D. Scharer

Watch your receipts folks. A rather cocky guy rang up my candle, a tube of incense and four packets of incense sticks. Granted…. The incense sticks weren’t expensive… but I was charged for more incense than I bought! There WAS an offer to wrap my glass candle but after looking at the workers face, I wasn't ABOUT to ask him to go a step further. It's a shame what ‘customer service’ has become. If you don't WANT to work there, DON’T!

  • Annette de Soto

I love Cost Plus and this store always has friendly and helpful staff. They have interesting furniture and are a great place to find decorative pieces for dinner or children's parties. Also a good stop if you're craving chocolate bars or candies from various locales around the globe (not high end candy but snacking candy). They have fun travel toys as well so a good place to stock up before a long flight with kids.

  • EMI WU

Don't ever let me in here alone I will spend my life savings! I love it here! Some people like target but this is a place that's transports you into a Bohemian international and affordable dream turned reality! I am a gift giver and they got it all! We also just bought a beautiful hallways runner/ rug and wow it's perfect! The staff is so so sweet every time! Love you guys!

  • S Slater

I always walk out of this place with more than I planned to buy. They source really interesting, high quality products and it's a great place to go for gifts. I especially love their kitchen items, but have also gotten a lot of great home products (furniture, art) as well. If you haven't checked out their for section, do! The staff is helpful as well. I love World Market!!

  • Christian Moreno

This place is a jewel! Amazing products and prices (seriously I don't think I've ever purchased something that I didn't love) with a friendly, helpful staff. I live 1 block from here so I go in often and have a pantry full of their lovely products. If you're smart you'll join their Explorers club and start racking up certificates like crazy. My favorite store in Seattle!

  • Jerry Glomph Black

Go there for a good variety of European packaged foods. You run a gauntlet of ticky-tacky housewares and dubious furniture to get there. At rear is the non-compelling wine section, not competitive with Trader Joe's, or even Safeway. Definitely sign up for their loyalty program, WM Explorer- frequent coupons for big discounts, also generous credit points for purchases.

  • Tad Bixby

We have visited this location often, but our most recent was best, as we met Carol Ann, a staffer who shared her favorite sauces and made my wife's day, and mine, too! My wife can't pass this place without stopping in. Last visit, I had to carry TWO chairs all the way home! UPDATE: Shopped for living room furniture today, that is thankfully too big to carry home!

  • Laurel Clark

Great selection of items from around the world. Furniture, food, wine, clothes/accessories. I enjoy looking at holiday items, snacks and stationary. I find lots of unique things here. Service is great. Never overwhelmed by people asking me what I need but am always greeted when I enter and if there is a line at the register they are so quick to call for back up.

  • Pragya Agarwal

I love the World Market. It's my go to place for the best home utility and decor items. I've purchased several of their self grow plant kits which make for great presents for friends. I have also purchased their sustainable kitchen bowl sets, ramen bowl set, table top covers, bag clips, bath accessories, masks, hand cream, diaries and many more items.

  • Jeffery Pardue

Cost plus World Market has a few hard to find food items like Heinz salad cream and PG Tips tea. World Market needs more of the PG Tips tea flavors like Earl Gray, English breakfast and Assam which is mentioned on the PG Tips original black tea box. PG tips is famous for Pyramid shaped tea bags. The parent company that owns PG tips also owns Lipton.

  • Arthur Kim

Having some extra time, I decided to walk down the aisles of a store that I've been meaning to check out. They had a really good selection of goods from around the world. I saw lots of stuff in there that generally is only available in Asia. I didn't stay long to really remember the prices, but I'll have to go back and pick some stuff up.

  • David W

Interesting store. Eclectic mix. I saw furniture (there are better furniture stores around), a mix of soda, random upholstery items. If you have some time, and you're walking around in the area, poke your head in. Edit: I'm adding an extra star, up to five, because I've bought two pieces of furniture from here. Good items, good prices.

  • Erin Phair

My husband jokingly calls this "the basic white girl store", and he's not wrong... But I also still love it. Fun place to browse for cute home decor and cheeky tchotchkeys. Great for gifts. Also has a good wine selection as well as a variety of snacks and pantry items from around the world. One of my favorite stores to wander through.

  • Kurt Abe

I love Cost Plus. It's my annual destination for German Christmas treats. Every year I put together a parcel for my mom and sisters with various cookies, chocolates and goodies. I brings back great memories of my childhood when my family would receive a parcel of goodies from our extended German family. Now I continue that tradition.

  • Melanie Massine

Super amazing selections on anything you might need .. from random knick knacks to amazing hot sauces. This place is definitely worth checking out no matter what you're looking for. They have all the good stuff (little known secret food stuffs) and the prices arent out of control like most shops in downtown Seattle

  • Angie Kearby

Such a fun store. They have tons of cute kitchen utensils and dishes. Looked like a market towards the back with some grocery items, I didn’t go that far back. Saw some really cute furniture and rugs. Didn’t go in with anything in mind, but left with a couple of cute earrings and a bag that was on clearance.

  • Leo Lam, Ph.D.

It's an interesting store with all kinds of "stuff" from around the world, mostly Asia-ish inspired. Plenty of Crate and Barrel type items, too. Their furniture is surprisingly well priced and of good quality. My wife loves the candles and some of the gourmet items. Prices are reasonable.

  • Anthony DeLeon

Staff are really kind and helpful. Store has a nice variety of products from around the world. They tend to go in and out of stock so don't assume products will always be there. Also get a membership - it's annoying to sign up but it's free and you get lots of deals and coupons

  • Dragana Krstic

We bought Spanish chorizo. When we came home I open and it had a weird smell and taste. Then I checked for the expiration and it was expired on 4th October. I’m so disappointed they’re selling food that is expired. When something get expired you should remove from the shelves!

  • Marissa Bruno

World Market holds a special place in my heart. I love all of the furniture - especially since it's so reasonably priced. There is also a plethora of delicious snacks, foods and candy. Overall its a great place to furnish your house and get some snacks in the mean time.

  • Jeanne Slonecker

I've been shopping here for years, both in-store and on-line. Always a fun experience and often unbeatable prices for the quality. There are times when not all the items that seem similar (eg, color differences), so it pays to ask a salesperson for confirmation.

  • Russ Myers

“Bathroom out of order”. As our kids say, should be customers only. Instead Corp company not knowing how to deal with homeless and People taking advantage of a lack of restrooms near market. Luckily, bought beers next door at Locust welcoming paid customers.

  • Derek Wise

One of the better world's market locations I have been into, the layout works really well, great selection, and very friendly staff. Our cashier even reminded me to check my explorer account on my phone for coupons and we got a huge discount because of that.

  • Pamm Peterson

If they don't carry it you don't need it. Quirky cool items. All at affordable prices. When I travel I always seek out a CPWM. I found the perfect tea strainer holder. Wines food candy dishes Oh My. The snack and candy section will leave you drooling. Enjoy

  • Valérie

"I love this store!"... okay, so I'm not the first one to say this. If I lived in Seattle, I would be a regular customer. There are all sorts of lovely home furnishings and kitchen gadgets. And yes, all sorts of lovely snacks from around the world.

  • Brian Moore

The best thing in my opinion about World Market is their selection of British and exotic chocolates and cookies from various places around the world and it's just a really fun place to go and Shop. Enjoy this location and have fun

  • Nick Hayes

Pretty bomb place. Eclectic place with housewares, gadgets, furniture, food, and wine. Pretty good prices and good wine selection. Love their stuff and I'm a strait dude that hates shopping. So that says something.

  • Milo Price

Good selection of imports from around the world. A nice place for gifts, getting new furniture/decor, or just trying new foods. There are also a lot of sample sized goods in case you just want to try something.

Good selection of mid quality home furnishings. Also, they have wine and some foods. Make sure to check their website for more offerings; they're not able to show their entire selection in stores.

I'm searching for coffee on Capitol Hill and this sponsored ad from world market keeps moving my map miles away from where I want to be. Total fail. Stop moving my viewport for an ad!

  • Massango “GodChild” B

A wonderland of unique pieces of artistry, for the individual who's not afraid to showcase their querkiness in style. While helping the underdog artists it's a win win . …
