I hired this service with over a month of anticipation. Two weeks before my move, Aaron called to delay my moving start from 9 am to 1:30 pm. I agreed since it was not a huge problem for me. On the day of the move, they texted saying they would be late and would arrive between 2 and 3 pm. They finally arrived at 4:44 pm. Halfway through the move, the movers started asking if I had listed the washing machine. They said such an appliance requires insurance and what not. The manager, Aaron, then calls me, mentions not the washing machine (that I had listed of course) but complains that my apartment is not on the first floor and as such the fee would increase of $25 per hour. It is awkward to reach the first floor, I agree (structural changes on an old building) but the fact remains the apartment is on the first floor. So I counter offer an increase of $20 given that they were awfully late. He said he had already offered that discount since the real increase was of $35 not $25. Then he says that if I'm really going to make it difficult for $5. He then accusses me of lying regarding the first floor and he menaces with asking his movers to unload the truck. I dislike the tone, the reasoning, the inflexibility to meet me halfway. When I tell him that they were very late, he says that his guys had texted me and that I had agreed to the new hour. So basically, he was expecting me to make a huge drama about them being late. So basically, I was being bullied into accepting a capricious increase of $25. I realized this is the modus operandi of this company. They will wait till you're in the middle of it, tired, vulnerable and when you just want to be done with it, to hit you with an unjustified increase. This is thievery of the worst kind. I called the police because he had provided me with a contract. I felt that he was compelled by law to finish my move to the fee stated on the contract. As they were leaving, one of the movers blocked the door of my building preventing me from leaving it. Thankfully, that is when the police arrived. The Police evaluated the situation and they basically made me realize I was dealing with crooks and the best possible outcome was to get rid of them. I was able to secure a professional and kind service for the next day. I am all moved out and happy in my new place. I don't recommend hiring this company, they will blackmail you and leave you stranded. Find real professionals. It is worth it.

I was not having a great day after having my Uhaul cancelled last minute I was frustrated and stressed out about how I was going to move my large items. I ran into these guys finishing up a move for another client in my building. I told them what happened and they offered to move me out right after they were done with that client! They were very friendly, efficient, speedy, professional and great at what they do. 100% recommend if you’re looking for movers! My neighbours even commented on how fast they were! Absolutely wonderful service and would definitely refer them to my friends and family or anyone moving!

My family used Xebec Line for our recent move, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They were very kind, professional workers and made sure to pack everything securely during transport as all of our belongings arrived in perfect condition! They are also reasonably priced and the service is very friendly. Highly recommend if you need movers in the Ottawa-Gatineau area.

Arian and Hamed from Xebec Line were wonderful - they arrived on time. They were polite and professional. They were efficient but considerate - they ensured carpet was laid and furniture was wrapped appropriately and disassembled and assembled properly. We were very happy with the move and would highly recommend them. Would definitely book them again.

Excellent service from the two guys from Xebec who helped me with my local move within Ottawa. They were on time, super efficient, polite and made the whole move experience really easy. They also helped me unbox/assemble my sofa, and took away an older piece of furniture - above and beyond, thank you!

Rates were very reasonable and the guys were were punctual, capable, strong and professional. They took care not to damage the items moved. I would highly recommend Xebec and will certainly use them again.
