There is a British lady with glasses who was unable to offer a transparent and honest service, playing the victim and stating the unhappy customer who is politely giving negative feedback was attacking her personally. Of course that was not true. She refused to give her name, but she is a chubby lady in her late 20s or early 30s, dark straight hair and glasses. If she is at the counter when you are going to get your prescription please run away as far as you can. She was rude, stated I was rude when I was just complaining and then told me to leave. They offer services to NHS patients yet they refuse to give their names. The rest of her colleagues have a badge with their names on. Not to mention the complaints were actually valid, the service has deteriorated over the last couple years. They need more days each time to actually give you a single box of medicines. Absolutely shameful display from this lady. Actually, her name is Sussie, it showed up on the prescription she extended so that we could get it from a different pharmacy, because that is all we wanted since they were not able to get our prescription wihin 6 days... We went for my partner's prescriptions, but I was the one stating the complaints, she threathened my partner to being banned if they showed up with "this person" (referring to me while in front of me, on the third person...) ever again. I stated that we had already swapped pharmacies and this was the last prescription on the ASDA pharmacy, but all she cared about was getting personal, threatening us, defending herself when we never attacked her in the first place, and then expelling me from the queue. Absolutely horrendous, Sussie, I really hope you lose your job and start working in a place where you never have to deal with people face to face ever again, since you are terrible at dealing with customers. She was also extremely condescending, she said that I had no idea how many happy customers they had, they have over 6000 patients and most of them are happy, she works almost every day of the week. It cannot be a coincidence that I always find unhappy people. Actually, I shop almost daily at ASDA and I always walk past the pharmacy and there is always a long queue, people leaving because they are not seen to in a timely manner (Sometimes over 1h wait). I also work for the NHS myself, I told her that we deal with unhappy service users in a transparent and honest way, unlike what she was doing. I specifically told her that I did not believe this was her fault personally, yet she stood by her stance that I was attacking her personally. I said that it's not her problem, she has people on top of her who are responsible. Still she was feeling attacked. What a terrible image she has shown...
Staff is rude. Doesn’t listen to their customers maybe because I’m asian. Went last night in a hurry to get my 3 years old antibiotic at 18:20 pm and need to go at my night shift. Queues are long. So I decided to talk to the customers who are waiting if I can talk to the pharmacist quicky just to ask if they have a stock of the medication because I have been to 2 pharmacy and they don’t have. I’m willing to wait if they have, if they have no stocks I can still look for other pharmacies that are open. Customer said it’s fine. Talked to this pharmacist and asked if they have stock but he just shooo me like a fly. I’m explaining it to him my situation but he doesn’t even make eye contact with me and he said I need to wait for my turn. So just because it’s for my 3 year old daughter, I waited for an hour. When it’s my turn they said they don’t have stock. I was fuming!! I thought they have stock because he was so arrogant shooing me in the queue. Talked to one of the staff and all they just say is Sorry and they don’t have enough staff. I work in the hospital, we are always short staff but we are not mean and rude to our patients. That pharmacy is making ASDA name down because of there service. They should close it. This is the WORST pharmacy I ever been and the RUDEST person I ever met!!! It should not even worth 1 star.
I was left waiting for 20 minutes at the till without warning: the first assistant had my medication, I was card in hand ready to pay and then he disappeared into the back room. I could see him moving around and apparently collecting medicines for others who had left their prescriptions, tapping on a computer then heading into the storeroom and then back to the computer. Four other people created a queue behind me, two of whom disappeared after 10 minutes when no one came out, despite the fact he could have seen us if he looked up. Then assistant #2 arrived, coffee in hand (had the poor guy cut his break short?) Very pleasant, lovely, and after five minutes he suddenly seemed to twig I was waiting for his colleague to come back with my prescription. He immediately went and collected the medication and brought it back out to me. Chap #1 finally came out to help serve the queue (which was growing again now the tills were manned). Talk about chalk and cheese the pair of them!
Sloooooooooooow service, painfully slow. Literally spent half an hour serving the one person in front of me. HALF. AN. HOUR. Flicking through the slips as slow as humanly possible, stopping and chatting every few seconds. Eventually the customer gave up to come back the next day. The sales assistant had no idea about the medication I was asking for, luckily I knew what I wanted. Asking for non branded confused him and I had to point at what I wanted and check the ingredients myself to make sure it was the right thing; totally incompetent. At least he wasn't rude like most of the other staff there. One guy who works there is good. Everyone else is slow, incompetent, often rude and disinterested.
Visited the pharmacy to purchase pain killers for my mum, she doesn't get headaches often but when she does they are debilitating. she keeps the painkillers in the cabinet for when she needs them. Was told that no I couldn't purchase the item as I had said she keeps them in the cabinet and I was not buying them for, I presume, immediate use. So my mum who is in her 70s has to get dressed, catch the bus, a time consuming journey, and visit Asda in the middle of a debilitating headache, yeah that makes sense. To my knowledge my mum isn't psychic so can't anticipate when she'll have a headache. On top of that the pharmacist was rude and kept talking over me. Avoid this pharmacy go somewhere else
Why on earth are breaks taken during the 5-6pm rush? Why aren't there enough staff to cover the pharmacy for the hours advertised? As other comments state, a very understaffed department, it doesn't matter what time of day it is, you're guaranteed to need to wait for an hour or 2. I've unsuccessfully tried to pick medication up for 3 weeks in a row and haven't been able to. Rather than ask for reviewers to send a private message, can you please answer the questions highlighted in a reply here. Edit: Tweet who? What's the twitter handle? Find it hard to believe someone in the store can't escalate issues internally.
I would give it no stars if that was an option. Had repeat prescription sent here directly from GP. Now, more than 2 weeks and 6 visits later, still haven't been given the full list of items on the prescription due to various issues. Will be asking GP to send further prescriptions on to a different pharmacy from now on. I will not be providing further details on the Facebook/twitter (as requested from other reviewers) because it will not lead to any changes and be a waste of my time. Completely agree with other comments describing the poor service.
Just want to say the staff on the counter who I saw were lovely and helpful. However, obviously are overworked and understaffed. It is literally impossible to get through on the phone. I tried for 3 days and they didn't pick up once - either phone is broken or just ignored. Often the pharmacy is closed when you get there which is so annoying as its not stated online and theres no way to find out until youre there - especially as you cant get through on the phone to check Do not choose this pharmacy for your prescriptions!
I would give zero stars if I could. Pharmacy closes at random times for staff to take breaks without providing cover. Despite its advertising long opening hours you never know what state you will find it in. Even if it is open expect to wait in line for about an hour. The pharmacy must be understaffed and/or terribly managed because simple tasks often take a ridiculously long time (e.g. paying for a prescription).
I haven't had a single good or even adequate experience here. Always a massive queue, getting the prescriptions always takes ages. I have come here 3 times today to try and pick up my medicine and keep being told to come back in 30 mins. Queue is currently 10 people long. Unfortunately it's the only pharmacy open on a Sunday or late, so there is no choice of you need to pick up a prescription then.
Worst pharmacy I've ever been to! Rude, entitled and callous staff with massive queues and strings of dangerous errors. They lied to my face, consistently ordering the wrong heart medication for 2 weeks untill I ran out. They also withheld the prescription telling me to 'get a new pharmacy, we’re sending this prescription back to your doctor’. If your medication has any importance, don't go here.
What happened? Looks like around 5 staff for 6000 patients - feels like chronic understaffing may lead to dangerous errors. Potentially putting profits before patients. Also they reduced opening hours - I guess again to save money. Local increases in population (which should normally be a good thing) will make this issue worse unless asda increase resources - not good for staff or patients!
Very rude staff. They won't sell you painkillers because you bought one 6 weeks ago. Laughable I came again after 4 MONTHS and they still wouldn't sell me painkillers. There's one self-important chubby girl with black hair who apparently loves to annoy their customers. I think it's time for me to switch to Lidl all together as I cannot buy a thing in this pharmacy when I shop.
Astonishingly bad service. You're regularly left waiting at the till for 10 minutes+ before anyone deigns to come out from the pharmacy to see you. It will then take typically ten minutes or of scrabbling around before they come back to tell you your prescription is not in stock. No surprise then that there is always a longish queue of bored-looking customers. Avoid.
The slowest pharmacy I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. Took time off work to stand in the queue for over an hour only to have to leave without being served to get back to work because of how slow they are. I have never known a pharmacy like it anywhere. Avoid at all cost. Get a printed prescription and take it to another one.
Big queues, one person served every 10 minutes, therefore 1-2h wait time at very least. 3 other pharmacists in the back, only one serving the front with others chatting. And that is not my first visit. I wish I was exaggerating, but no, literally, 10 minutes per person. Avoid and save your valuable time.
Shocking service from this place. Doctors orders to pick up something you can get over the counter amd someone with little to no medical knowledge tells me it can't be purchased for that reason when a doctor has literally just ordered me to. I've had to go elsewhere and had no issues. Completely inept.
34 minute wait in a que of 5 people today, thats actually the quickest I have known it, a good 40 mins to dispense at the lease IF its in stock. Cant phone to check and therefore save queing as the phone never gets answered, would always go absolutely anywhere else but here if at all possible.
There is always a massive queue no matter what time of day. I waited over an hour a few weeks ago for a prescription. This week my partner waited for 45 minutes on Monday and 30 minutes today. Obviously understaffed. By far the worst pharmacy service I've ever used.
I’m stood here now and have been for 30 mins. The queue has moved on one solitary person. I don’t blame the staff, I blame a lack of resources to enable them to actually do their job. I’m afraid I shan’t be getting my prescription again from here after today.
Couldn't get through on the phone and I'm sure it was hung up several times. Went in person, huge queue, tried early the next day, still queue, probably the same people tbh. In the end turns out they couldn't get what I wanted as they had limited suppliers.
If I could give zero stars I would. Just terrible. The staff stand behind the counter chatting while a queue builds up. I was stood at the front for 15 minutes waiting to be seen and a queue of 10 people built up before I was even acknowledge. Useless.
This place is the freshest of hell. A prescription takes about 20 minutes to queue up to ask about (even when it’s been sent electronically) and then another half an hour to collect. They never have enough staff nor any communication. It’s the worst.
Swapped to this pharmacy as they're open late so I can go after work. BIG MISTAKE. Honestly the worst wait times I've ever experienced. Prescriptions never ready on time. Slow service and understaffed. Time to register at a new pharmacy me thinks...
Rude and patronising female pharmacist working at 1830 on Tuesday 14th Nov. It's fine to explain that you don't have the OTC version of a medication available. It's not fine to interrupt the moment I start speaking and talk to me like I'm an idiot.
Will never come here again - incredibly long and inefficient queue Gave up last night because it was so long and slow. Only 4 people in front of me today - still waited 35 minutes, to be told to come back in another 15 minutes to get prescription.
Rudest staff of any pharmacy I’ve been to. We’re here because we’re unwell and need care, but the staff make you feel even worse and shouldn’t be working in this industry. Disgusting service. Miserable atmosphere. Love yourself by not coming here
So helpful when I went to pick up medication for my partner, made sure that everything was okay, I got a good deal, and they made sure that I knew I could come back and ask questions any time I needed. A lovely experience during a stressful time.
Just awful. The slowness, customer service, lack of communication (they don’t answer the phone) is really unprofessional and not appropriate for delivering a service linked to people’s health on behalf of the NHS. Asda should quit dispensing.
Really nice friendly staff, always happy to listen and give you the best advice. Now other pharmacies have closed down around the area there is always a long queue, the staff do their best but people still moan and expect miracles from them.
I visited to ask for some advice, unfortunately they referred me to a walk in centre called Broadmead in The Galleries shopping centre; being a stranger to the area it took me some time to find the centre, however, on arrival I was swiftly
There is ALWAYS a queue, no matter what time of day you go. This pharmacy is perpetually understaffed so the staff are always impatient and look exhausted. This was the case even before all the other local pharmacies started closing. They
We have used this pharmacy for a few years it has always been awful trying to get through on the phone. I used to pick up a private prescription and they would often not have enough product and so I would ring to check quantities. The
Waited an hour and half for a script that had been sent to the pharmacy and was told was ready for collection. Very understaffed but this is not okay for I'll customers in need of medication. Standing for an hour and half is difficult
Rude and cruel. Had to abandon because prescription for my toddler took over an hour; returned the following day to be told conflictingly we’d have to queue again, with an ill 1-year-old who desperately needs an inhaler.
I have similar experience to that of Mr Pelter. The staff were rude and unhelpful. I had been redirected to this pharmacy from another branch. The service was slow and sullen. Why is it tolerated?
This pharmacy has the slowest pharmacists in Bristol, in Britain in Europe, on the planet, and probably in the galaxy!!! on a ten-point scale from 1 to 10 - 1. slowly, very slowly ...
They are not serving meds as pharmacist is late. They said is coming from Birminham and they cannot provide a time. This is ridiculous, there’s people with pain waiting in the queue
First time I have attempted to use Bedminster Asda pharmacy. It'll be the last. Gave up after 30 minutes queuing and walked around the corner to Superdrug, inside Savers. No queue
Yes, the queues can be frustrating and service can be slow at times but I have found the staff there to be friendly and to be honest, just trying to do their best.
Yes there is always a huge queue but the staff are always lovely and are doing the best they can - it’s the lack of additional help for them that is the issue
Understaffed and staff move extremely slowly, never answer phone, long queues, never have anything in. Am changing to another chemist. AVOID.
Vwry slow service i waited 1.5 hrs at the end i dont get it, because i have to go to work. I want to give ZERO.but that is the truth.
Really poor service don't come in a rush because the queue take more that 30 to move, really disappointed, the staff don't care.
Slow but they're doing the best they can. More angry that Asda doesn't provide a proper waiting area and a queue system.
About 15 people in the queue only one person serving, it took absolutely ages! Would not use them again
The worst service ever, get ready to be waiting more that 45mins, the staff doesn't care either.
Incredibly slow. I also was misdiagnosed here before. Go to any other pharmacy if possible.
'Please allow 7 business days to process your prescription' --- The definition of insanity
unhelpful, slow, surly staff.. poorly stocked.. what a shambles …
