Updated. Clifton pharmacy have kindly refunded my £185 PCR test. They have assured me they have changed the courier depot used so they should not have this problem again. They have apologised. I booked in for my fit to fly PCR test for at the earliest possible time so 9:30am Tuesday for express result by 11pm the following day. On Wednesday at 1:15pm over 24 hours after they emailed me to let me know there had been a problem with the courier and won't have result until 11pm thursday I.e. after my flight has left. Luckily I had checked my emails and saw it and was able to book an express 4 hour turn around test at Heathrow although it was a very stressful experience having to do this at last minute. The pharmacy talked to the testing place and said 'they will try and give your priority tomorrow so you won't miss your flight but there was no guarantees given (and no refund offered despite me asking for one) He called on Thursday to follow up, still no results and trying to assure, by which time I had already got my results from Heathrow as I could not afford to trust them. I told him not to bother. Apparently he got results back in time but didn't bother sending them to me as i already got some however I cannot verify if the result actually arrived. He did admit they are sending tests to IRELAND so no wonder when it's going so far away it's easy to have a problem. Lesson learned, read your t's and c's. ask questions. To be fair fine print said there was no guarantees and I trusted the people who said they hadn't had a problem before. They have given a refund. This is a lovley little pharmacy but I could never recommend this service if you have an important flight. Beware most similar services in Bristol would have same problem relying on couriers and possibly also far away testing houses rather than using their own staff to deliver to local testing places as they do in London. Always have a backup handy.

Their constant up selling and high prices have become a problem. We have had to stop going to this pharmacy as every time my partner goes in to buy something simple like paracetamol he comes back spending £30 on their insistent ‘recommendations’. I understand this is legitimate business practice but it also takes advantage of those who are shy,embarrassed or those for whom English is not their first language. Just yesterday he tried to buy a simple ointment and came back with a box of £25 vitamins which were essentially just zinc and some bio cultures that you can find in any live yoghurt. Go to regent street pharmacy round the corner if you can. We never have this problem there. *in response to the pharmacy* the vitamins were called ‘Pro Derma-skin health’. My partner came in to ask for a cream to use on a skin complaint as the Daktacort he had been using until then had had no effect. You then sent him away with a new tube of the exact cream he had come to complain about and insisted that the best thing was to buy the hugely expensive vitamins too. So while you are able to pat your staff on the back for squeezing maximum potential profit from this encounter it in no way benefits the health of a member of your community.

Fantastic service & always with a smile :) The pharmacist and staff here are so friendly and helpful. ln my opinion they regularly go over and above what could reasonably be expected. Their advice & helpful suggestions of the right products and medications for me have been a huge help. I am quite severely disabled and they regularly suggest ways to do things that are of benefit to me only. They have regularly rung the GP Practice to sort out a prescription query for me as they know I hate using the phone and get flustered!! They even stay late so I can go in and get my flu jab when the shop is shut as I really struggle to walk especially with other people around. I really can't recommend them enough and a huge thank you to everyone at Clifton Village Pharmacy for all your help over the last year

I went in a few days ago to buy some tweezers; a plastic piece of an earring was in ear! I was feeling unwell also. I was the only person in the small shop and asked the sales assistant about tweezers. She looked bored and pointed to a stand with them on. I chose a pair and went to pay her with cash but she said 'card only' I had forgotten my card She grudgingly a ccepted cash but then took ages to give .e my change of around d £7.50. I looked at what she put on the coun ter and it was a five pound note and a few 5pence pieces I cou nted Them and I was short over £2!!I told her this and I was clear that she had just given me a random amount She then took many minutes uses to work put how much I was owed. Using a calculator..I felt she treated me this way for not paying by card

Be aware of the pharmacy’s pushy dishonest sales! I am pregnant, and popped in to buy anti acids, the pharmacist suggested I go for probiotics too which might help with acid reduction. I asked if it’s proven even in pregnancy and was assured I should go for it. As soon as I paid I called my midwife which said there is no benefits to this at all as my acid problem is a symptom of pregnancy not digestive issue. I popped back (less than 5 min later) and said I want a refund as I was miss sold something I didn’t even want and pharmacy refused to refund me as their policy is ‘no refunds!!!’ Be very careful if you shop here and don’t take advice that is actually trying to up- sell pills.

When my husband was diagnosed with leukaemia the Pharmacist and his staff could not have been more helpful. Their assistance and advice was invaluable not only sourcing medical items for him but also helping to keep the rest of the family healthy over the Winter months so that we could avoid passing any colds or infections on to him as his immune system was completely compromised. We would have been really lost without them, this is such a vital resource and also meant we didn't have to overload our GP. They also offer a loyalty card. Excellent service- can't recommend them highly enough.

i recently moved out of the country, but this pharmacy was my go to throughout my last year at univeristy. I have multiple health conditions, and get really anxious going to pick up medication etc (especially because I pick up so much) they were all so kind, and calm and caring. It really made me so happy and I started to even enjoy picking up my meds. They are all sincere people that really care for the community they work in. I miss going there greatly!! Bonus points for Kehinde, he always made me laugh and he has really good recommendations on medication

I have always been very happy with the service from Clifton Village Pharmacy, but doubly so during lockdown. I have been self-isolating due to vulnerable family reason, so need a more 'long-range' relationship with the pharmacy. They have been sterling in replying very promptly to SMS and email requests regarding repeat prescriptions and additions. Importantly, the delivery service they offer is spot-on and always within the promised time window. I can't recommend them enough and am very pleased to have this opportunity to reflect that.

I needed hayfever tablets, and one of the employers who sold me the product gave me a ridiculous price for the hayfever tablets - £17. Which i am a student and cannot afford something like this. In the end, I decided to ask for a refund and he gave it back to me in cash. Most of my parents friends have stopped going to this pharmacy because of the guy that overprices the customers. I went down to the one in regent street, for the same type of tablets and they cost me £3. Theres a big difference there.

Switched to this pharmacy from Boots Broadmead a few months ago. The personal service and standard of efficiency is second to none. In Boots you wait for hours to be served. No personal service, your just a number. They never answer the phone, from early morning to late night. This pharmacy answers the phone within seconds. If I run out of medication they will supply me with a few days until prescription arrives. Wish I had switched years ago.

This is a great pharmacy/chemist. Nothing is too much for them. Always polite, friendly and helpful. They have always gone the extra mile for me as a customer, especially when I have ran out of medication or I need to order items in. I lived in the village but moved to the centre over five years ago but retained CVP as my chemist/repeat prescription provider because of their outstanding customer service and I always recommend them to friends.

I went into Clifton Village Pharmacy after cutting my thumb badly on a broken plate. Ben was absolutely fantastic, took a look at the cut (which was still bleeding and made a mess of their floor) and reccommended i head to A&E. Three stiches later my thumb is on the mend and I was really grateful for their speedy and calm advice. I've always had a brilliant experience when picking up precriptions or needing medication. Highly reccommend!

Absolutely fantastic pharmacy. I have been a customer for years. Upveer and the twins always give 5 star customer service which is sincere and caring. They are happy to spend time with you, offering suggestions and advice. I even asked advice about my Dad and, after months of useless help from his doctor, what they suggested worked and made such a difference to his life. Highly recommended. Great local pharmacy with friendly and efficient staff. My wife has been very ill of late, and the pharmacy has always been extremely helpful whenever I have needed to sort out my wife's medication. I worried that the lockdown may have made it difficult to source prescriptions on time, but the pharmacy kept lines of communication open during the lockdown, and I never had to worry once that medication would run out

Clifton village pharmacy did my family’s PCR test with fit to fly certificate. Booking for extremely easy and gave ample information. On the day the testing was swift and the team were absolutely fantastic with my 2 year old daughter in convincing her to have the test! Results and certificate email came through within 24 hours and they were so quick to respond to questions. Huge thanks to the entire team.

Bought the box of 'No Fog' cleaning wipes from this Clifton Village Pharmacy. 'No Fog' Wipes has had done a good trick for cleaning my glasses lenses, before wearing my facemask (I do still continuing). Fab job there is no fog or a steam on the lenses when weather gets hotter. Hooray at last,....everyone you should try this, it is really good & no smudge on your own glasses.

I needed a rapid Antigen test for a flight from Bristol to The Netherlands after another provider let me down. Clifton Village Pharmacy was able to provide a test at short notice that meant I was able to take my flight, which I would otherwise have missed. They were a pleasure to deal with on what would otherwise have been a very stressful day. Very grateful and would highly recommend.

Great pharmacy - nothing is too much trouble, and they are efficient, smart, communicative and kind. The staff are exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. I like that they are independent because they aren’t tied to a particular suppliers for prescription items, which has been brilliant during a national shortage of one item. They also have well-chosen and interesting shop items.

Outstanding service from Clifton Pharmacy. Dr had changed my prescription and I requested the previous one. Totally my fault, but Clifton took care of it and delivered exactly what I needed. I require prescriptions every two weeks and Clifton Pharmacy always get me what I need. Personal service and more importantly flexible to deliver what you need. Absolutely brilliant.

I have been using Clifton Village Pharmacy for many years, the staff strike a good balance of being professional and friendly, and on many occasions have gone out of their way to make sure I get my repeat prescriptions. Upveer also saved me lots of money by suggesting I get an annual prescription charge certificate.

Superb service and support from the team here. I called and asked for a last minute PCR test for an overseas business trip and 45 minutes later was having a test. This is the only Pharmacy that I know of in the Clifton, Bristol area that stocks the old traditional 'Styptic Pencil' the perfect quick and easy solution for shaving nicks and cuts! It stings when you apply it but its so simple, easy and effective to use! Oliver was also so polite and so helpful :-)

Had a great experience here when looking for sleeping medication. Came in to get nytol but ended up buying CBD oil after pharmacist suggested it. Using the oil helped me get my sleeping back on track and was a lot more effective then sleeping tablets. Special thanks to Benjamin for all of the help!!

I had such a great experience with Clifton village pharmacy- so helpful, really informative and speedy results for my PCR test. They were a real lifesaver as I was struggling to find anywhere that would give me a test on such short notice. Slightly more expensive but worth every penny!

Fast and efficient Covid test at Clifton Village Pharmacy today. All staff very friendly and received my certificate within the hour. I was a little surprised to not have been asked for ID, maybe this is something that needs looking at in the future but a seem less experience.

Excellent service! Came in to get an emergency prescription as I was unable to get to the doctors and without having to ask, I was charged a lesser amount than the £8 prescription charge as I was only getting a few days worth. Made my day as I am a student on a tight budget!!!

Upveer and his team are a boon to the residents of Clifton. They are unfailingly helpful and cheerful and go out of their way to accommodate the needs of local residents. They are an efficiently run community service and I have yet to encounter a more effective pharmacy.

I was recommended the ‘MooGoo Milk Wash’ by the pharmacist to use as a shower gel to help soothe my eczema, and it has completely changed my skin and cleared up flare ups which had only previously responded well to topical steroids. I could not recommend more highly!

We’ve now used Clifton Village Pharmacy twice for Fit to Fly antigen tests. Both times the results came very quickly and they never hurt us while doing the test (like it is sometimes the case in other testing places!) They are by far my favorite local pharmacy!
