Five stars for Gina, two stars for another relatively young employee and two stars for the payment system. This afternoon, my friend accompanied me to the nearest Amart as I was moving house and desperately needed a mattress for the weekend. Upon entering the mattress area, Gina gave me a warm greeting, introduced me patiently after asking me what I wanted and expressed her affirmation and kindness when I said I wanted to have a second look and indicated to me that I had plenty of time to choose the mattress I liked best. I felt happy about buying a mattress on the spot due to Gina's warm service. The price of the mattress was 698 plus 100 for shipping and I wanted to pay with two cards, a debit card and a credit card. The person who gave me the checkout was a relatively young employee. When I paid, I completed the payment of $300 with my debit card, however when I tried to proceed with the remaining amount with my credit card, the EFTPOS machine showed the transaction failed. I asked her if it was possible that the eftpos machine was malfunctioning. She told me to try with another machine but it still failed. I was puzzled as I had just completed a purchase with this credit card in the morning and I told her this part of information. However perhaps it was unintentional, but her reply made me nervous when she said, "I've never seen a payment fail for any reason other than insufficient balance." I have suffered from relatively severe depression and anxiety over the past two years due to Covid-19. After hearing her reply I felt very self-conscious and upset. I asked her, "Is there a convenience store or something nearby where I would like to go, and maybe buy a bottle of water in order to check whether it is a problem with my credit card or with your payment system?" And her response to me was, "There is a convenience store nearby, however you probably just wasted five dollars or something because you probably had enough to pay for the water but still not enough to pay for the rest of the payment." I think she may have been unintentional, but her reply really put a lot of psychological pressure on me. As my friends were waiting for me and I didn't want to waste their time, I said maybe sometime after that I would complete the rest of the payment. I did call my bank but they said there was nothing wrong with my bank card. To be honest, within two hours of leaving, I was very low and anxious. I had dinner with my friend in the evening, including another trip to Woolworth's, and I had no problems with my credit card being in use. I would like to believe that the staff member's words were probably not meant in bad faith, but I also think I have to express my feelings and thoughts.

Had a really great experience with Amart Furniture at Virginia recently. My partner and I decided to buy a new bed and mattress, so exciting for us as we have never spent money on that type of thing before, we’ve always bought cheaper stuff and just ‘made do’. I had already chosen the bed frame I liked which was in stock, we chose a mattress we thought looked okay and the sales guy Jon was extremely helpful in showing us alternatives that were better but for less money. We got a really great price on a good mattress but under the condition it wasn’t in stock and we would have it in about 2 weeks. He ended up upgrading us to an even better, more expensive mattress for no extra cost and organised delivery the following Monday (yesterday, which was under the 2 weeks timeframe too) the mattress is amazing and the bed frame too!! I was so excited to put it together. We also ordered a mattress protector that was left on the truck unfortunately (poor guys carrying huge heavy furniture in 35 degree heat) - I rang amart and we organised I could just pick it up in an hour or so which I was happy with! Overall, we had a great sleep last night on our new mattress and we are already choosing a new lounge from Amart to buy in the future. Really happy with our experience and would definitely shop there again.

Very disappointed. We shopped around for a new bed and mattress and decided to give Amart Virginia a go. We told the salesperson that we needed the delivery to be made on a certain date as we were moving in on that date and wanted the delivery to coincide with the move in date. We were absolutely clear on this. We were told that it could happen. It is now clear to us in hindsight that we were told this could happen to simply get the sale across the line. We checked with Amart today to get a progress update and we were told that it would not come for another 7 days (that is, 14 days after purchase). If we had known that we would not have bought that particular mattress which was about $2,000 plus and would have gone for something that was already in stock. Very disappointing experience, but also seems consistent with some of the other reviews noted below. If you are purchasing from this store, please beware.

The staff at the Virginia store we very helpful and attentive on every visit we had whilst looking for a new outdoor setting. The in store experience was one of the main reasons for deciding to purchase from Amart - this was in addition to the great quality, price and range they had on offer compared to other stores we visited. Our purchase experience was seamless, all staff are equipped with personal devices to put the order through on the spot (no need to wait at checkouts) making the process super quick and easy. The ability to pay your purchase off in installments whilst you wait for it to come into store at no extra cost is definitely an added bonus. Great communication from the store regarding delivery and pickup, I will be shopping here again in future.

As for the lounge we struggle to get it to recline in (had no problems with the one in store) and makes a clunking sound when opening recliner on one side should of played more and went elsewhere....

Terrible customer service. I bought a couch over 7 weeks ago and was expecting it this week after the sales rep on the floor confirmed that I would have it by today. I contacted the store yesterday and they said it now might come at the end of October, but they could not give me an approximate date of arrival and the delivery could be delayed further. I asked the store if there was anything that they could do to speed up the process as I have a baby on the way and need the couch before then. The representative refused to call anyone else as she said they will just tell her that there’s nothing that can be done. Woeful business and would not recommend.

My mother and I ordered three mattresses from this store. We received the delivery and the order was wrong. We ordered 2x QUEEN!!!!! mattresses and 1 DOUBLE !!!!! and received 2 doubles and 1 queen. Rang was told that they would need to contact the warehouse and rectify the situation that was after she told me that I was wrong about my order. I even had the the damn sales order in front of me and could CLEARLY see that we were right. She said that the warehouse will ring me on Monday to fix the problem. Why would I need to wait until Monday if they have them in stock and could quite easily just go and pick the right one and deliver it?

Sadly this was an epic fail. What's going on A Mart all the corporate funds going South side stores. Appearance of store is tacky with unkempt gardens. Paint on building. All Windows are covered up. Entrance to building is not clear and I'm sorry what about some love guys... if other stores not to name any specific have atmosphere, banners or signage what about showing each section clearly.... not good experience. I went to buy 2 x foot stools. Told staff yes I will take those two please... she was not confident and sadly took far to long to close the deal I walked out of store. Won't shop there again

Absolutely horrid worksmanship on the San Lucas outdoor table setting. Bought this set back at the end of 2022. Its now march 2023 and the table laminate is peeling, the chair legs aren’t level and the cushions are degrading. The customer service has stated that this is not a fault of the table so is not covered by their quality guarantee… Wouldn’t recommend this product or any of Amarts products. I have raised this for repair and replacement as per their quality guarantee but was declined. Will be raising further. Stay away. Stick to harvey norman. Much better quality and service.

The staff were friendly and helpful at Amart Virginia. I came home and was half way through assembling a shelf I'd bought, and noticed that there was a small hardware piece that was cracked rendering it pretty useless. I was able to contact the store about it; they answered the phone efficiently and said to email. I emailed and heard back within a few hours. Luckily there were some spare pieces available - I was worried that I would have to bring back everything and exchange etc. A minor inconvenience having to drive over myself, but not complaining!

I purchased a single over double bunk bed a couple years ago. After moving a few times, I had lost all the screws that keep the entire bed together. I called Amart Furniture Virginia (where I purchased the bed previously) and they were able to get a new full set of screws to me within 2 working days - thank you so much! Your service was outstanding, and more importantly you have saved me so much money from not having to fork out for a new bed! Thank you! Your help and Customer Service is greatly appreciated!

After sales care is very bad. Product care/insurance product is completely useless. Fabric two and three seater couches we bought started pilling within two weeks of them arriving. They said it was normal to do this at the start and to buy a pilling remover and deal with it. Which we did but since then I had to shave the fabric with the machine four times in less than three years. Not acceptable. My previous couches of 15 years did not do this once. And they were also fabric not leather or microfiber.

The service staff member was not accomodating at all and was rude and messed up my order. She also stated that all tables were already on the floor and not flat packed and that we would have to pay for drivery because of it. Turns out the table had scratches on it from being on display in which I had to fight tooth and nail to get it reduced because it was damaged. Ended up getting $20 off the amount for a simple transaction. Never coming here again.

Extremely poor returns policy. We spent $3500 on a set of couches and at the 1 year mark, some of them broke. They will only return the broken pieces and leave you with the others "because they aren't broken". Therefore you end up with mismatched lounge suite? This is not acceptable. This was not a cheap set but was cheap quality and poor after service. This is a big company throwing their weight around and I will take this matter further.

Wow, where do I begin. The worst experience of my life. Delivered a seven piece setting, only one item wasn't damaged or scratched. They had even tried to put touch up paint on the scratches. It took them 5 days to replace the items, only for the new items to be worse than the original. I ended up picking up the our dining table for the warehouse. The lady who looks after complaints couldn't organise a beer in a brewery.

Brian was good and informative and helpful. Stood back and .didnt interfare with all the usual shop talk that we are not in to. Would have liked more discount or less delivery etc. Only issue was a.screaming kid jumping on furniture. This is furniture people sit on and you all have a right to ask the parent to stop jumping on the furniture, but no one staff member did. i nearly did though We will be back

Furniture is great but the service on the day was not so much. There was no pricing negotiation despite sale and wanting a full price item, we were told the incorrect items were in stock and delivery date was totally wrong (it got delivered Monday not Thursday as agreed). We've bought a few things now from Amart but doubt we will return to the Virginia store if the service does not improve.

Terrible after sales service. Once you order, the store staff blame everything on the warehouse. Received the wrong item, returned it to the store about two weeks ago. Still waiting for a refund even though they can take your money straight away and before delivery is organised. Now I only get platitudes from staff at Virginia store. Buyer beware…..

Their service has been terrible. Once ordered, the store staff blame everything on the warehouse for the delayed delivery. Received the wrong item, of different color and they did organize someone to check which also happened, but there has been no response after that .. !! Only cared about getting out money and post that their responses are rude.

One of the worst shopping experience of my life.... they say 2000 and more items available, just for display!!! 90% of items stock not available and it can take up to 4-6 weeks. Staff made us feel like it was our fault that we wanted every thing delivered to us in 2 weeks, so that kind of customer service the believe in.

We bought orthokinetic mattress 2017 (price $1399,95) but after 1 year its apart from the side. I asked Virginia QLD super Amart to change it 1 months ago but they are delaying the process. My matters warranty for 10 years but doesn't work. Sometimes Warranty does not work for big store, it's hard to fight with them.

I appreciate they hold on to my merchandises patiently. Even at the time of the order, they confirmed that holding up on the merchandise is not a problem as long as I keep on paying 5% of the order every month. But they forced me to collect the order while I have no place or they cancel the order. Thank you anyway.

We ordered a couch from this store. When it arrived it was completely dirty and missing parts. After a bit of back and forward we got a replacement which is good. One staff member was lovely ( the one who organised the replacement ) however everyone else we spoke to during the issue was very rude.

Convenient but the drinks screen display inside needs to be easy to read. For example thickshakes were not to be seen. Catering for drivein purposes but does have interior seating and shaded exterior areas for rest stops.
