Let me tell you something about Matt! Matt is the best & I mean this with everything in me! I was searching all around the world for some very particular dining chairs that I had to replace. Long story short, my 7 year old son accidentally ruined my mom’s chairs. I know, crazy kids. Turns out, these chairs were hard to come by because the style was discontinued! My local store in Georgia, brushed it off and referred me to the Jacksonville location. A Jacksonville employee by the wonderful name of Matt located a set at his store and I was elated! Only problem was, Matt is in Fl. while I’m Ga. I was so desperate to replace these chairs that I would’ve driven 5 hours to be back in my moms good graces. Matt was a delightful help in reaching out to my local store to see if I could possibly get them shipped. There are policies with shipping, so my particular store (employee of the store) said that it wasn’t possible. I guess word got around that “Some lady has been looking for these chairs and we spoke to someone from Jacksonville “ and *WAHLAH* I receive a call from my local store that they actually DID have the chairs! The previous employee hadn’t checked and only led me to Matt…Matt was the reason my locations other employees checked their own store for me and turns out, they had 2 left as well. This man needs a promotion or a percentage of the company, because if you know my mom, she works HARD for her nice things and the last thing I wanted to do was downgrade her beautiful set bc I couldn’t afford to replace the whole thing. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because I do like the couch. We bought this couch at the beginning of the week and planned to pick it up Friday. Friday came, we went to pick it up, and it was not wrapped in plastic. The couch ended up getting quite wet because they tried loading it unwrapped, in the rain. We told them to stop. They apologized, said we would get a new one, and it would be delivered the next day first thing (10am). Saturday comes, still raining. Couch showed up almost 4hrs late. It would not fit thru the front door so they said they'd come back the next day to try getting it thru the back... again, promised we'd be dealt with as soon as they opened. Again, around 2pmSunday, they show up. Couch gets in, but now they say they dont have a bit for the drill. So they leave the couches sideways, screws and legs on the floor, and say they'll come back after their other deliveries (between 530 and 6pm)and finish putting the couches together. They never showed. Did not call. We called the next morning, today, Monday, and was told someone would come out without fail this afternoon to put the couches together. It is now 10 till 9pm.. No calls, no returned calls. So disappointed in this company. We had planned on this sectional, a dining table and chairs, a bed frame and mattress.. but I will most definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

Drew saved the day! Our fridge went out this morning and we were scrambling. Other places kept says “back ordered” or “4-6 weeks for delivery”. On a whim, I called American Freight because I saw online they sell appliances. I knew I had driven by the store, but had never been in. Drew answered and said they had them in stock and to come see him. We were in and out in about an hour. Drew was kind, attentive, but not pushy. He answered our questions and went above and beyond to get us out fast (at our request). I’ve never been that comfortable at a furniture and appliance store. They have furniture for the whole house! I had no idea! Planning to getting furniture there in the next few weeks. I want to also say the rest of the crew there was extremely helpful too! You can really tell it’s a team effort. Everyone we saw was kind and very helpful. And the prices— you’ve got to get in there and see for yourself! They are new appliances and a great warranty. They loaded up the fridge in my husband’s truck and we left the store with it. We couldn’t be happier! Drew - thank you and see you soon!!

I'm going to share with the 1M+ people that have seen my reviews that the salesman who helped my husband and I were great . The transaction was quick and efficient, no problems whatsoever. However, on the day that we made our purchase, the salesman told us that the delivery people would get my things unboxed for me. The guys did it for me when I lived in Pennsylvania with the same company. These guys in Jacksonville refused to unbox the furniture. After reading the policy for this particular location, it turns out that the delivery people were right. If sales really knows the policy, it would be good to inform everyone from the jump. I'm a disabled person and it took me many hours to get my things unboxed. These dudes could've had the courtesy to turn the heavy dresser the right way instead of facing the wall. The dresser is still sitting in the box. Now, I have to pay more money to get some help with this. The 3⭐ rating is because we were misled by the sales department. Otherwise, this would have been 5 stars.

Last year 2021 my husband and I were in search of recliner sofa and loveseat. With much research we had 2 choices: American Signature and American Freight. Both have great quality furniture and at an affordable price. We started with American Signature, as we have purchased there before. Salesperson took 10 minutes to acknowledge us and then rushed us around and was not helpful at all. Then drove to American Freight, as soon as we walked thru the door, Kenny greeted us with a smile, asked how he could help us and they had exactly what we needed and wanted. He showed us different styles, he recommended furniture that would be comfortable for my husband, he’s 6”1’ If there were more than 5 stars, I would give them. Great furniture….affordable….we purchased 5 year warranty…..delivered and set up by skilled workers…..everything was A+ American Freight thank you…..Kenny and entire staff Tony and Estelle Miller

I recently moved into a new place and in dire need of a new sofa. I went here because it was the more affordable option. Salesman Kenny helped me pick out a beautiful sofa and loveseat set that I finally decided on after I realized that the possibility of me finding a sectional that I like already in stock was slim. (It wasn't him, it was me.. I am the most indecisive person ever) Things didn't work out as planned however, to make a long story short. Which I later learned that it was really no fault of all the gentleman who further assisted Kenny in correcting the issue. Kenny, Drew and Fid helped me and delivered the best professional customer service I ever experienced, heat and all! Fid, is the new Store Manager for this 103rd location and is doing a great job. I have heard many amazing things about American Freight and their wide selection on furniture and appliances so I decided to stop by one day. When I walked in I actually felt overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start but was greeted by a young gentleman by the name of Drew and he was absolutely down to earth, very knowledgeable and if this man could sell paint to a wall he could lol. I always assume all salesmen just wanna tell you what you wanna hear and very aggressive trying to get money from you but he honestly made my experience such a breeze, I didn’t feel rushed or pressured. He was very honest and patient and I feel like every company needs more people with personalities like this. Thank you again American Freight! I will definitely be coming back very soon!!!! I will never purchase a piece of furniture from here again. We got our reclining sofa and love seat August 2021. We purchased the warranty plan at that time assuming it will cover whatever may happen to the furniture. We have filed a warranty claim for the sofa, as one side has began to fall apart, wood is coming off under the structure and you can no longer sit on that particular part of the sofa the warranty claim has been denied and they have stated they've exhausted all resources for this issue. They could have at least sent someone out to look at it, after I had sent pictures and videos if the issue. I know this furniture wasn't gonna last forever, but only to last a little over a year is ridiculous!

The service or should I say the none service that myself and my children received was no existing. No one greeted us upon entering or walking through the store. There 3 staff members sitting around on furniture but not one attempt to assist us until we walked to the exit and I stopped an employee to ask them is anyone available to assist us. Upon the next customer walking through the door the staff was eager to assist them. I have purchased items from this location in the past but this will be the last time that I step into this location. Customer service was horrible, I went to Long’s furniture who has excellent customer service a purchased a completed bedroom set from them!

Just got my dishwasher today and guess what it doesn’t work and American Freight says I cannot return it. So I get to pay monthly payments on a product I cannot use. What kind of company has no return policy? No to mention the product doesn’t work upon delivery and you still won’t take it back. Do not use the company for ANYTHING! BTW, i did call the store and was told they wouldn’t accept a return. Would you think as a consumer I wouldn’t take the proper steps to get this resolved? You think I would be ignorant to let this slide without some sort of negative feedback? Clearly the store could care less about this issue and I’m warning others from falling into a similar trap.

My husband and I came in to look at living room furniture, but weren’t sure what exactly we were looking for. Drew greeted us when we walked in the door and helped show us around the show room. After looking around and deciding on some furniture, Drew helped us to seal the deal with some great financing. The team there was very friendly and professional, they even helped load the furniture into my husbands truck! This was by far one of the greatest experiences we’ve had shopping for furniture and will definitely be back!

Stopped on 4/30 was greated right away by Drew. He didn't pressure us said when we were ready to let him know. My husband and myself looked around found a love seat and couch set. We informed Drew on what we were looking at , then started telling him about the HORRIBLE Service we received elsewhere. He apologized about that and thanked us for not letting that stop us with shopping with them. Want to give a shout out to Drew and Matt for exceptional service we received. We will be back when it's time for more furniture

I absolutely love this place and these guys. I have purchased/financed three sets through them now. About to do my fourth. They’re furniture is gonna end up in every room in my house at this rate lol . They’re awesome and pretty quick and will hook you up with what you want. Friendly, patient staff, totally willing to explain everything and answer any and all questions you may have. Couldn’t ask for anything more. I had never heard of American freight until just a couple of days ago. We made the trip to the location on 103rd in Jacksonville, and found an awesome salesman in Drew! He was patient with us and helped us find the best deal on the best bed for our son. We ended up getting a great deal while also getting exactly what we were looking for! Drew and all the guys that were working at American freight were extremely friendly and helpful and we will definitely be back!

It's a good place but I'm noticing that it's a problem getting furniture these days. We bought a dining room set over 3 months ago....paid for it and never reciev3d it...everytime we call...they say it's not here. I dont understand maybe the issues with war is causing a delay in merchandise shipped country to country. If yall dont have the furniture take it off of the floor model especially if 3 months pass and paid customers never recieved it.

I have purchase in this store in the past with no problem. Today I got the runaround. To purchase, got to make a phone call for approval Get a code., and another call and you need a code and another one. The store said you got good credit. over the Phone it was denied. No that was wrong. Ok Got to your email. That's when I said forget it. Too much runaround. If you want purchase anything you got to do all the work.

My mother recently visited this location (Store #40) and she was completely satisfied with the GREAT customer service she received at this location. She enjoyed working with everyone and looks forward to working with them again. The delivery guys were awesome. Carlton (delivery guy) was great and showed complete respect to us while doing his job. Love the staff, Love the furniture selection, Love the deals, and Love the layaway. I went here in February to refurnish my entire house (kitchen table, couch w/ ottoman, 2 twin beds, and a queen sized bedroom set). I got all of my furniture for a really great price and 6 months later all of my furniture is still in great condition. I have recommended this place to all of my family and friends.

Extremely poor customer service! Just walked in, “young black lady at counter, absolutely gives no greeting whatsoever! Literally, no one at the counter asked me if I needed any assistance whatsoever. What a poor representation of a store. I walked out within seconds.. every item in that furniture store is beyond cheap/ low-budget. Please take your business and dollars elsewhere!

Mark helped me on Tuesday 2/8/22 great service and communication along with exceptional product knowledge thank you for making my purchase (living room set)and warranty so easy… Mandi ✌ delivery was great just keep in mind if your paying cash app add $5 that was not told to me but it’s ok. $85 delivery fee I’m only 13 mins away. BRING YOUR OWN TRUCK.! Much cheaper..

What an amazing place! They have everything you can think of for your home, rugs, appliances, furniture and bedding. We ended up getting two bed sets and a new washer and dryer set for our new townhome. I had the pleasure of being helped by Matt and Keith after a very unpleasant experience at the Gainesville Location. From the door these guys were great at assisting me with the mattress that fits my needs. The store environment was very friendly from the employees to the warehouse guys. I spent over $1000 for my bed and the first day the wood underneath broke… then the frame snapped after about a year… the mattress is absolutely horrible! It lost support before a year of having it. I would absolutely not recommend this place at all! I have no idea how they have so many good reviews… the furniture is cheaply made and won’t last at all!

Just left store.. Andrew (Drew) was FANTASTIC.. very helpful and very knowledgeable with the different mattresses. We came here looking for bunk beds and left with much more. We received such great service and that made us spend a little more time browsing their inventory. If I could give a zero star I would. WE BOUGHT fridge online GO TO PICK IT UP NEXT DAY TOLD THEY don't have it that I should of checked email that one was sent saying they don't have fridge and that money would be refunded. Have not received email or refund

This is the store to go to if you want some excellent prices. It isn't air conditioned and some areas of the store are crowded. But they are very helpful if one needs them.

Bought a couch from this outfit about 6 months ago. Its fine, but feels like its already worn.Just not that durabile. Im shopping for higher quality at this time.

The parking lot only had 2 cars and one uhaul at the front door. Did not go in. Went back to Lowe's for dishwasher. Had to give 1 star. Did not deserve it. 'Zero'
