Came in with my wife, and stated I understand if you are not doing so right now but I’d like to get my ring size checked and was told they are not doing that right now unless you are buying from us, because it’s a huge pain to clean afterwards. This entertains the idea that they will risk infecting their equipment, and then sterilize it......... for a paying customer....... but no one else, WHAT? I would have understood better if they had told me that they were just suspending any activity that involves physical contact, but to be dismissed because I initially just wanted a ring size to start with shows all they care about is money, and a quick sale. I was also told we aren’t going to help you if you’re just going to get your ring size and then buy online. I may have possibly done some looking around afterwards and considered shopping with Anthony’s but I anyone reading this can be assured I will never consider them in the future now because of the way me and my wife were treated. Original review: October, 2020 EDIT: Visited store to discuss with their manager my experience during covid, and find a reason to delete this. I explained that I understand that covid was especially hard on EVERYONE, not just singling them out & I specifically asked about the reason for the dismissal after mentioning walking in with my wife to their store. I was informed about customers practices of "ghosting" (probably getting the term wrong) and then just buying online, and then the manager explained that they only had two sets of sizing equipment on hand at the time. I specifically asked how they determined weather their customers were engaging those practices after the limited equipment explanation and let her know I felt like I was being profiled, and I was embarrassed with my wife visiting their store and having that experience. After the manager explained they don't profile, I had reminded her that that was of course not an accusation ( I would never accuse anyone of profiling), those were just my feelings based on the rest of the reasons on how things were handled and was again told it was based on covid at the time amd every explanation seemingly centered around that statement. In my opinion, I feel like the core issue of how they determine their dismissals and their customers intent was not addressed, and was left with the statement "we've been around for 43 years". I thanked the manager for her time and let her know the review would stay up - which is not my goal to harm their business.

I wanted to get my watch battery replace on my Tissot watch. I told the girl I paid 1200 dollars for this watch can you guys do it without destroying my watch? She replied sure we can change any watch battery but your watch it's going to cost 20 dollars because there's probably going to be 2 batteries in there. I said fine. I got it back and the analog and digital time don't seem to be matching the same time. So I thought it just need to be synchronize again. Went home and it would not synchronize. I took the watch back and told them its not working like it should she ( Stephanie) said I will have the guy look at it but it's going to cost you 10 dollars to have the battery replace . I'm like what! I just had them replace. She replied they may have replaced one battery I told them to replace the 2. I said ok take a look at it agian. The watch came back the same way, that would be 10 dollars. For what, its still broken. She said sorry we don't deal with Tissot watch. Are you kidding me? I asked you guys if you can do the job before you open my watch and was told yes. She replied and said we can send it to Tissot if you want. I thought you dont deal with Tissot? Now it's going to cost me to get the sensor replace that they damage. Thanks for destroying my watch. I'm never going back to that store again and I'll spread the word to my friends about this shady place.

When my Mother passed away I received her wedding ring- it had also belonged to my grandmother. Having had good service previously, I took my ring to Anthony's to get sized and appraised for insurance purposes. I was told at this time that the claws holding the diamonds also needed replacing. Once this work was complete I took the ring home and stored it in a safe place. My partner and I were living together but not yet engaged. Other than trying the ring on a few times it sat in the box for safe keeping. One day I decided to put the ring on and after wearing it for maybe 2 hours tops I noticed one of the diamonds missing. After contacting Anthonys I was told there was a 6 monnth guarantee. Admittedly, it has been about 3 years since the work took place but you would think that the fact that the diamond fell out after being worn for about 2 hours that perhaps there were would be some consideration. In being fair I would say the customer service at Anthonys has always been great and Im extremely disappointed that the workmanship guarantee is not on par with the rest of its service- especially for a repair that I did not solicit but opted to do based on their recommendation that I needed to have this repair done to avoid this exact thing from happening.

Would give no stars if possible. Absolutely do not waste your money for such an establishment. Terrible customer service on employees end. Had a situation i was trying to resolve in getting a refund for a necklace and when i requested to speak to the manager i was told “ no” by the sales associate because “ the manager would just tell me the same thing” . Once i pushed a bit the representative eventually called in the manager to speak to me. 10k gold is sold at triple the price , i was told they do not sell gold by the gram and that “ things arent done here in canada the same as back home” this coming from a white female who does not even know where i am from to assume where “ back home” is. when in reality there are plenty of jewellers in Calgary whom sell by the gram of gold AND DESIGN combined . When i asked to know how many grams the item was to the manager she said “ i dont know. And cannot check for you” When i had called in earlier in the day and was told on the phone by the employee the exact gram amount. Very demeaning . Do not waste your money on over priced products. There are establishments selling real 21k gold for the same price these people are selling their 10k gold IN Calgary . Be sure to hire experienced and professional jewellers.

I had purchased some glasses in February at a well known eye glass shop. I thought they were great, but it turned out that with only 1 bar across the top of the glasses, they were very flimsy and wobbly. I took them back to the shop, but they said since they are mass produced, there was nothing they could do about it. I recalled taking some other items to Anthony’s Jewellers (Marlborough Mall) and thought maybe they could help. I spoke with Rose first and she suggested I wait for AJ , the skilled craftsman of the shop. We talked through every possibility , and all things that could work, or might not work. It was a very delicate endeavour, and AJ certainly did not want to ruin my expensive glasses. His eagerness in finding a solution, gave me the confidence to proceed. I came back within 2 hours and my glasses are strong, look amazing and are now a custom pair...lined with a bit of 10K gold. I am so appreciative and happy with my experience at Anthony’s Jewellers and would highly recommend AJ and his team to help you with any purchases, modifications, or jewelry services or inquiries. They are a fantastic team!!! Thank you AJ!

I ordered a double heart necklace for my wife for a 50th anniversary with an engraving on it that showed our names and 50 years with three fake stones in it, total cost me with the chain cost $$1000, after I received it on January the second or third I can’t remember I looked at it. I was not overly happy with it back or anniversaries a couple days away, and I thought well I can only hope for the best well the best thing that happened. It was a total failure. It looks like a piece of cheap 10. There’s nothing I can say good about it, where the diamonds are sitting, it’s rough that my wife almost cut her hand on it when she went to feel it she’s embarrassed to show it out in the public and now they won’t do nothing about it because it’s custom ordered, I don’t blame the store as much as I blame the cheap guys that made this and steal your money I don’t get it don’t buy anything out of a catalog because it does not pay in the end not custom orders there’s nothing good I could say about this experience. Nino.

My husband bought around $5000 from this place in May 2021, the ladies were amazing, the ring he bought me had a 2 year warranty on it, which within the first couple of months a couple of stones fell out, it was fixed no issues. I went in last week as I seen another stone had came out, lady told me it was under warranty but because I didn't bring it in it voided the warranty. I explained to her what had happened to my family in the last year and a half and that I was not in the right frame of mind, as first my mother in law passed away, 2 months later my nephew passed on and 2 months later my mom passed. Really they could care a less about that. I ended having to pay to get my ring fixed, I will never recommend this store to anyone nor will I go back after this point. Spending that much money all together for something so simple to get fixed and totally not compassionate regarding what happened. I get it that I should have brought it in but my mental health took a nasty toll.

Never again. My Grandma went to Anthony Jewllers a few days ago and bought a silver cross for my brothers silver necklace. He has been wanting one for awhile, so my Grandma bought one and brought it home. She wrapped it up so we didn't look at it, and this morning (Christmas morning) My brother opened the cross and it was a plastic cross. It is hallow, and on the sides has those lines , able to see where it was put together, and simply pressing down it made a dent. My Grandma didn't know it was plastic because at the store, the worker said it was real silver and keep in mind, my Grandma paid around $60 for this cross. A plastic cross. Whoever the worker was, took advantage of my Grandma since she doesn't have the best eyesight or that worker can't tell the difference from Silver and plastic. Either way we are making a complaint and taking it back to the store. I just find it crazy that an official Jewellery store would sell someone plastic for $60 and claim it is silver.

I’ve been looking for a jeweller to create custom pieces from jewelry that I had in my collection that I no longer loved. I started with a ring that was botched by a different Jeweller, I expressed my concerns and nervousness to Vanessa and she was able to assure me that my experience at Anthony Jewellers wouldn’t be the same. She took my idea and turned it into reality, the ring turned out better than I could have dreamed and I wish I would have taken a before picture (after picture below). With my new found confidence in this experience, I took in a second ring with my ideas and once again the ring turned out beautifully! This time I took before and after pictures (below) Anthony Jewellers offers excellent customer service, competitive pricing and deliver a finished piece in the time frame they quote you. Their Jeweller is extremely talented and very knowledgeable in his field. I have recommended them to all my friends and family and will continue to recommend them.

I bought a pair of 10 kt heavy butterfly backs for my diamond earrings after 20 years I lost one of the backs - $22. The sales gal fitted these to the posts of the earrings went to the employee only area to consult with the higher powers. The very next day in the shower I felt my earring fall on my arm! I put my foot over the drain. I found it as well as my other earring and 2 pieces of the backs - Both of them broke because they were so tightly fitted to the posts or they are cheap? what ever reason - I went back to Marlborough and they would only give me one - because I only had the broken pieces - for one... she again consulted with the person behind the door. I can only replace one she says ... I don't know what I was given some piece of crap that I'm going to trust to keep my diamond on my ear and continue to use the other one that's 20 years plus? I won't be going to this store anymore. because they just don't care.

This is our second customized piece of jewellery created by Anthony Jewellers. We had my fiancee's engagement ring cast and made again as there was a problem with the metal in our first ring (bought somewhere else). The staff made a perfect replica and then designed a custom band to go on the bottom of the ring. Amazing customer service. Price was very reasonable and fair as well. We came all the way from Fort Saskatchewan AB (about 3 hours drive) to shop at this wonderful store. This second purchase lived up to our experience with our first purchase. The staff were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and went out of their way to help us. This will make our special day even more special. This is the place to go for anything but most especially, custom pieces that will last a lifetime. Thank you Carla and your amazing staff for your work. It means the world to us.

I bought a silver chain necklace from Anthony Jewellers located in Marlborough Mall a few years back. Upon purchasing the necklace I was told that it comes with a lifetime warranty for the clasp. The clasp has broke from everyday ware and tare, and upon returning for repair I was told that they never had such a policy, that they only warranty up to one year, and the repair will be 55 dollars. I am frustrated that I was misinformed by the sales lady when purchasing it. I’m asking myself, was lady who sold me the necklace not trained properly, or was she stretching the truth to push the sale on me? I feel that a reputable, professional business should hold up their part of the bargain, even if it was misinformation. I will not be returning for future purchases, and will advise my family not to return there either.

I had 3 - 14k gold rings that I brought into Anthony Jewellers for a repair. I dealt with the Manager Vanessa who was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I was given a date and time when my rings would be ready for pick up. My husband went on my behalf to pick up my rings on the date and time that we were given and dealt with Rose another professional, friendly & knowledgeable staff member. My husband could not believe how shiny my rings looked. When I saw my rings they looked like brand new rings. I love how they look! We were so pleased with the prompt and professional service we received and would recommend Anthony Jewellers to anyone needing to get their jewelry repaired. I am so pleased with my ring that we designed with the help of MaryAnne and the gold smith at Anthony's! My mom recently passed away and we combined her wedding ring and my engagement ring into a new setting with another stone and the outcome was amazing. The quality is wonderful and they provided so many great suggestions along the way. We were treated like family and I know that I can trust them to do excellent work and I'm getting the best value for my dollar. My family has been using Anthony's for over 25 years and I haven't found a jewelry store that can compare to them in the city of Calgary. I needed to have a clasp on my BF's necklace fixed. I went to google to find somewhere close to the office with good reviews. I stumbled onto Anthony's and was pleased to see all the great reviews. When I went in to have the clasp repaired the lovely lady at the counter said I didn't need a new clasp just needed to be adjusted, she took it right back to their goldsmith it was adjusted and I was sent on my way at no charge for the repair. The fact hat they have a goldsmith onsite drew me there originally as I didn't want a long turnaround of having it sent away. The repair is perfect, the service was beyond amazing and I will for sure recommend it to anyone who has jewelry needs. thank you for a great experience in your store.

I decided to make my own grad ring as the one in the catalogues at my school looked terrible. Katie helped me the first day, she pointed out possible fits and helped me find something exactly to my tastes. I was shocked to find i was wearing a ring two sides too big for my finger. Katie helped me to find the perfect size giving helpful hints about the fit of a ring on a cold hand vs a warm one. Needless to say I left very happy with a beautiful grad ring; that was $200 cheaper than my school would have made me pay. Katie wrapped up my ring so nicely, i felt like royalty when i was there. I brought my eternity diamond ring in to Anthony's because it broke and a diamond had fallen off (purchased elsewhere). Service was prompt and they did an amazing job at a great price! It was such seamless work, that you can't tell where the ring had been broken. I also came into the store in search of a chain for my husband and received incredible service. It's definitely hard to find service like this nowadays. Vanessa was friendly & honest, always got back to me promptly, answered all my questions, and searched high and low to find the perfect custom chain within my budget. I went to Anthony Jewellers on the hunt for the perfect Ring Enhancer style of wedding band to fit my engagement ring. I felt like I had exhausted my search options and wouldn't be able to find the perfect ring. Anthony Jewellers had a large selection and I found exactly what I was looking for. Not only that, but the cost was more than 1/2 the cost of some of the rings I was looking at in the bigger name jewellery stores. They quickly adjusted the ring size and width to fit my band within 24 hours, AND dipped and polished my engagement ring so it looks brand new again. I could not be more impressed with my experience.

I went into Anthony's with some very very important jewelry from my husband who recently passed away in September and I wanted to get our wedding ring soldered together and I wanted to get some nice and graving and I had another pendant and another ring that I got fixed and sized I am extremely happy with the way everything turned out it looks awesome I couldn't ask for anything better I was very nervous with that important jewelry. I went in to have something done to the band on my ring as it was wearing thin and Maryanne suggested I have the shank built back up, sounded good so I agreed. Maryanne gave me a price and a day to pickup. Maryanne called me later on that day because the stamp on the inside of the ring was not very readable , so she called to tell me the cost would a little bit more as it was 14k . Picked my ring up today and I am very happy with it. Maryanne was knowledgeable and efficient and I will definitely recommend the store. Very pleased with outcome. Pam

Went to Anthony Jewelers, Calgary, with 3 family rings, 1 needed repairing and 2 needed new settings. Rose helped find a setting that suited my style. Rose sketched a setting that I was explaining to her on a piece of paper, Rose drew exactly what I was describing to her, I was so amazed. I was so amazed with the Goldsmiths final design and creation of the new settings with the Family stones in them. Rose, I am truly amazed and Thankful for everything you did for me!! Had a stone come out of my ring took it to Anthony’s to get reset, they checked it out photographed it and the stone for their records , quoted me a repair fee for resetting the stone and to add some gold to the setting, and when it would be ready. Picked it up exactly when they said it would be ready, they had it repaired and polished, looked like a brand new ring. The personnel were friendly and very helpful would not hesitate to recommend this store to anyone.

I bought a pendant and chain for my fiancé here - mostly due to it’s proximity to my workplace. Big mistake. When the chain broke during their warranty period an employee actually accused me of bringing in a different chain for repair. She accused me of fraud in front of other customers. Aside from a terse apology the manager didn’t seem to care much about the situation. I ended up purchasing a much better chain for less at Costco. Avoid this place at all costs.

We were extremely pleased with Marie, the way she took care our request. We had just stopped by to look at rings. She was very knowledgeable and made us feel at ease. We decided to drop a ring that needed some extensive repairing. Picked it up today and are pleased with the work that was done. I would. recommend Anthony Jewellers for all your jewellery needs. Incredible jewellers! I was looking to get a few pairs of earrings, necklaces, and ring fixed/resized. I tried this store based on all the positive reviews. They did INCREDIBLE work! Everything was very reasonably priced, all my jewelry was fixed exactly as I asked, and all cleaned without any extra cost. All of this was done in an extremely timely manner. 10/10 would recommend. I'll only be coming here to get any other jewelry fixed/altered!

My son was looking for a gold chain during the Covid crisis. We found on on line we ordered that Anthony jewelers delivered to our house. After opening we realised it was to short as well as to fine of a link. The people from Anthony's went back and forth in emails making recommendations sending pictures. We finally landed on a design and length recommended by them . My son loves it.. great quality, great service. Thank You Anthony jewellers!

I was pleasantly surprised by pricing as I was quoted $250 from another jeweller to repair a ring. Anthony's charged me $40 and it was ready the next day! Great service and quality work. I went in to the store to ask about prices for re sizing my wedding ring, the lady that helped me her name was Rose, she explained everything clearly, and even explained what they had to do while working with white gold, being as my wedding ring is white gold. I have never experienced rude customer service at this jewelry store, like I have at others. So thank you Anthony's and thank you Rose.

I have never been so happy with customer service in my life!! I went in and wanted to purchase loop earrings for my granddaughter. Was so overwhelmed with the selection, Rose came by and helped me choosing the the perfect set, she showed me the difference between them and when I told her it was for my sensitive granddaughter. I was looking to re size my ladies ring that was passed down from my mom at Christmas time i went to a couple places in sunridge mall and they qouted me double the price of this place. I picked up the ring a couple days later they cleaned it and made sure one of the diamond's were tightly in place. Still they were cheaper, Fair price and great service. I've been gifted beautiful jewelry pieces from this place. When I lost a stone in my tennis bracelet I received excellent customer service. The stone was replaced and cleaned for me at no cost, due to the insurance I payed for. It is so shiny and beautiful and only took 3 days. Thank so much. I look forward to more pieces from here.

We bought our wedding rings here. We were served by 4 different people from browsing, then choosing, then sizing and final pick up. Every transaction was friendly, professional and fun. Smiles and helpfulness. The staff is upfront with any charges and it was a very pleasant experience! Will definitely be back.

I went to these guys because they had a decent review, and now I see why. My engagement ring lost a very specific stone that we couldn't find. We took it here and they were able to order in a replacement and fix the settings so it wouldn't fall out again. It looks better than brand new. I'm very pleased.

I took my ring in to be rhodium dipped and it came back looking like a brand new ring. They had a 24 hour turn around and pricing for repairs is very reasonable and I will definitely bring my jewelry back in the future when/if repairs are needed!
