Took two watches in to get new batteries. They aren't expensive watches by any means, but they are limited editions, they are very special to me, and I figured that a shop that worked on $20,000 watches would do a good job. Incorrect. After picking up my watch I noticed that the Indiglo on the timex was no longer working. There was a bright light at the 6, but it wasn't illuminating the rest. After initially trying to dismiss my concerns as not their problem (despite it working perfectly before they got it, and then completely screwed after it was in their possession) they agreed to look at it again. I wandered about the shop looking at watches that are many multiples of my monthly salary while I waited. When the service desk guy came back he had very frustrating things to say to me: • He put in a new battery, and it didn't help. (You don't say.) • The battery is very large. (Okaaay.) • I'd have to send it to Timex to get fixed. • "The indiglo is broken, but the lume works fine." This one bothers me the most. At this point he was either: letting his mouth do all the thinking and just filling the time until I left, or he figures I am a complete moron and thought that the lume and the Indiglo were somehow the same thing? I don't know, but either way, the whole interaction was essentially them spinning their wheels and killing time until I left so they could deal with their affluent customers. Where are we now? Well, now my watch is running fast. I noticed the time was incorrect about 4 hours ago, after fixing it then it is now 25 minutes fast. Never again, Calgary Jewellery. ———- Update, Aug 23: I’m glad their reply exhibits the exact same attitudes that I complained about here. Just goes to show that the inability to acknowledge their screw-ups (let alone take responsibility for them) and thinking that doing literally the *bare minimum* is being “helpful” is endemic to the place.

Hello! I have purchased a few items at Calgary Jewelry and felt compelled to leave a review. I have always love watches and I reached a point in my life where I thought to treat myself to my first real high end watch. After some research I went directly to Calgary Jewellery. Heading into a beautiful jewellery store can be intimidating for most people including me. I was instantly at ease with a warm welcome and an honest conversation about my desire for a new watch within a certain budget. As I scanned the showcases, I was guided through the options by knowledgeable staff. They helped me along the way rather than try to upsell me to something I could not afford. They took my desire and budget and I left a very happy customer. Fast forward to a year later, I purchased a few more items from Calgary Jewellery. Another item for myself and beautiful earrings for my partner. That’s the thing about this place – big or small, shiny or colorful, first time buyer or collector, they make you feel at home. Simone is the BEST! I Walked in looking like a wet rat after work (in November huge snow storm.) Nursing scrubs on, smudged make up. Simone approached me very lovingly and asked if she could help me. I told her I need a watch for my fiancé. I knew what I had in mind but Simone offered to walk me through ALL the watches and gave me details on all the brands. She never asked “what price range.,” just walked me through all of them. I learned a lot! Great for future purchases However when we got to the section I knew I wanted the OMEGA 007 watch… it was was sold out , not even on display. She did find me one! Which was great. Then had issues with my bank card because of an unusually large amount , etc etc. Nonetheless, Simone was unbelievable customer service. Did not judge the book by the cover. She made me feel very special and important no matter how I presented. THAT IS TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Also Calgary Jewelry , obviously, hands down best watch selection in the city.

underwhelming experience with Calgary Jewellery, which has left me feeling rather disappointed. Things have only gone downhill since they moved to their new location. Bought a Verragio Wedding set for my wife in 2017, went to the new location for the first time as she needed them resized. they no longer carry Verragio. Staff lacked professionalism, struggled to find the previous purchase info and questioned if we had even purchased the rings at their location, as if we were out of place. Took over a week to receive an estimate. Which seemed quite expensive, and didn't match the scope of what had been discussed. when my wife picked up her rings. The over the phone estimate numbers were different to those of the instore assistant.

I brought my old Omega in to go off for repair. I decided that it was time to get a new watch, but had not done a lot of research since it was a spur of the moment decision. The sales lady, I wish I remembered her name, was amazing . After looking at a few watches she recommended the Oris Great Barrier Reef III. It was exactly what I wanted; I love the movement, and the appearance. But enough about watches. Calgary Jewellery is always very clean & bright, the staff knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. Very good experience with Riley. Happened to be in town, was looking for the Redbull F1 Edition Tag Heuer. Called and spoke with Riley, he noted that he had 1 in stock with the steel bracelet. Asked him to put it aside, as I would be there in an hour. Arrived in the store, watch was put aside, had it sized and purchased it on the spot to join my original Tag F1. The box that it comes in had damage on the lettering, he noted that he would contact Tag and have a new one sent to my house. Calgary Jewellery was recommended to me; I talked to several other jewellers but realized quickly this was the place. Christina worked so hard to find an engagement ring that worked for me, my partner's expectations, and within our budget. She took ample time to educate me about rings and stones, and was patient as I decided on what to choose. Further, my now-fiance decided last minute to attend a work trip to an area that was a great scene for a proposal, and Christina was able to expediate the ring and I recieved it before the trip. Myself and my partner got our bands custom made here with Christina and we couldn't have had a better experience. Wow, there Jewelery is worthless and they don't look after their customers, don't stand behind what they preach. They don't have a policy to take back there expensive jewelry as a store credit after its worn, (not even for $5 bucks) their $6,000 ring is worth $50. Like a cheap used car dealer, drive off the lot, now its worthless. No Valentines Day sales...to high on themselves I guess. Pretty insulting.
