I only popped in for a moment to drop off a book that had to be done inside. The staff I interacted with were pleasant and happily helped me. The entrance faces the road, with a fabulous large lion protecting it outside. There is also a wooden piano chained down inviting you to play. Along the edge of the parking lot is a story path, perfect for young school aged children. It is "The Three Billy Goats Buenos" and looks very cute! There is a lovely green area outside by the parking lot. And the parking lot, while not huge, does appear to be adequate for a branch library location.
The Windsor Park library is wonderful. The staff is incredible, especially one named Sean. I use the public computers and need help a lot of the time. A lot of help as I’m looking for a job and half the time can’t figure out how to put my resume on applications, etc. He has helped me immensely. He is so patient, knowledgeable and kind. I can’t say enough about how much his assistance has meant to me. What a great guy! If you’re looking for a library, Windsor Park is the one to go to. I highly recommend it!
The library is great and the staff was super helpful in answering my questions. There were a few guests here being a bit loud. There were also several school aged children causing some noise and generating lots of movement through the library. This has its pros and cons. The pro is literacy and a love of the library, for me, the con is simply that I needed a quote space to get some work done and this wasn’t the best place for that today.
Nice updated library with a decent book selection. The only thing is that the typical library quiet rule is never enforced. The few times I've come here to study there are kids running around and people having loud conversations, and the librarians don't seem to really care. Maybe certain people like that but sometimes it makes it hard to come here and get work done.
If you are looking for a quite place to work or study this is not the location for you. There isn't a mandate on noise in the library. I came to use the facility for work and was very disturbed by the noise level from other guest and staff. On a better note they do supply you with free water bottles and the restroom was pretty decent to my surprise.
I enjoyed coming here as a kid. The staff was very friendly and there are tons of places to hide and read. There’s an area for kids who want to get on computers and an area for adults to use computers. Printed paper is free for homework and is like 50¢ for your own use.
Small but very nice. Hancock Library has been closed for 6 mos and this is really far out the way but much much better than St. John’s and some others. They did not grill me about my service dog either so that’s a huge plus and gets ALL THE STARS!!!!
Nice neighborhood library. Always something going on. They'll have a reptile show in a couple of weeks that is geared for kids, but that I'm interested in. Plenty of computers and places to cozy up with a book. There's also a piano outside to play!
Nice neighborhood library. It has a kid's area with cute tables and activities, computers with kid's games and a generous selection of books for the little ones. Some tables and sofas for adults to read and study around the library as well.
Small but new V difficult for a person to study for a long time bc of local kids playing video games and lack of study space Approachable staff Wonderful activities so far, my kids had a painting class with food! Oh my! Ty
A small branch of the public library with a giant lion and cub statue in front. Seed lending library, meeting rooms, computers to use, and all typical media & genres you'd expect from the Austin Public Library.
While the library is newly renovated which is great, on my stop by it smelled strongly of urine. There was also a girl yelling at the front who had to be escorted outside. Not the best impression.
Not my usual branch but the few times I've been here I have been more then happy with the experience. A busy but quiet location with decent device accessibility and a serviceable collection.
Whatever happened to silence at the library? Is this no longer a thing? Librarians were talking loudly. I would prefer a quieter experience. Old school? Yes! Nice staff, just very loud!
Wonderful staff, lots of movies, cookbooks, computers, etc. Giant lion sculpture in front that kids love! (I'm partial to this place because it's two blocks from my house!)
The thing is open and free. You have to pay to make copies. Computer use is free with a guest slip. There are restrooms as well. I was informed they no longer do faxes.
I bought a book and a couple of videos that were on sale. I enjoy my time at this library. There is an upright piano by the entry door, how creative and whimsical.
Great selection of books, great to bring kids as they have a kids section, and for teens they have a computer gaming room for after school.
Got my library card in 3 minutes. Courteous, welcoming and helpful staff. Very well organized. It’s going to be my favorite branch …
Really nice library. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was clean and they had plastic over the keyboard and mouse.
Love the library! Ability to look up books for hold. Open so was able to turn in library books. Friendly & helpful staff!
Not too big not too small. Friendly librarians. Activities weekly. We enjoy Mr. Gabriel's storytime on Thursday mornings.
I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. Mr Gabriel is a local celebrity and you can tell all the kids look up to him.
Small, but good for kids. It has an indoor playground for kids, about 10 public computers, and a meeting room.
Nice smaller library with a friendly staff. Support your local library! That stuff is free!
The staff is amazing but it is a very small library and it doesn’t have many books.
Great staff and a great place to read the books I love an study if I have to.
Beautiful library and friendly staff! Definitely will be back regularly!
I used to come here as a kid , great place to be at , i always loved it
Hours on a printout from the library conflict with what Google shows.
