Bells Bend Outdoor center was a nice open space type of park. The walking trails were mowed grass and wide enough for a small road. The trails meander though the meadows to a creek, a couple of small ponds, and along the Cumberland River. The rivers edge was not readily accessible as far as I can tell. I was able to get down there for a nice riverside view of the boats going by; however I wouldn't recommend it. The short but steep climb up the bank was sketchy. A small educational area was located at the other entrance with a bouldering rock. Some mountain bike trails were also available. All and all a good day outdoors.

This is a weird park. Its a giant pasture with walking trails mowed throughout. Maybe city folks enjoy it, but as someone who loves hiking through the woods, I just couldn't get over how weird it was to be walking in a giant open field with just the tall brush separating everything. The surrounding views are amazing. There are huge hills all around. The campsite is also pretty cool, but very small and compact.

Pros: 1) Great for low impact running since it's all dirt trails; 2) allows dogs; and 3) has several routes that can be combined for long runs/hikes. Cons: 1) Kind of far from the city; 2) doesn't have challenging hills; and 3) gets extremely muddy, which is often in rainy Nashville.

Sooooo fun. The farmers festival that was held here was amazing, and they have trails and a rock climbing wall inside the center.the yalso have this huge rock outside that doubles as a four sided rock climbing wall. Me and my family had such a good time.

This is a beautiful and tranquil park. There is a visitor center near the entrance, and areas for camping and large gatherings. Overall, this is a somewhat small Park (800 acres) that is great for small strolls and longer day hikes.

Public service announcement went for a walk on the trails Sunday around lunch time got back to the car and a window was smashed out of the car. Make sure you do not have anything of value visible inside the car.

Pretty drive and park. Unfortunately I went because I had read that it's a great place for stargazing - it wasn't. The light pollution is really bad. This is definitely not a place with a dark sky.

Love the rolling hills and various paths that you can take. There is also plenty of room to spread out from other hikers during the pandemic, which isn’t always the case on most Nashville trails.

Signs are pretty poor and paths aren't clear - take a nap or you could get lost pretty easily. But it's isolated and you're in close contact with nature - with nice views of the Cumberland River

Huge open areas! Mostly fields which were used as farm land (livestock and crops). Part of Nashvilles past history: Big time native Indian village sites taken over later by contemporary man.

One of my favorite parks in the Metro Nashville Parks system! They have a campground, indoor rock wall, outdoor boulder, Mnt. bike trails with loaner bikes, archery, hiking and so much more.

Beautiful area. Lots of grass and gravel paths to explore. Can be pretty muddy after rain so make sure you have proper shoes. Excellent for dog people. Just beware of prickers and thorns.

Oh, man, Bells Bend is so beautiful, if yiu have never been, do yourself a favor and visit. Great walking trails, the flowers and wildlife are amazing, especially in a City Park!

Beautiful park outside of Nashville. Quiet & peaceful, a bit of a drive to get there. Trails are beginner level and may be boring to someone seeking a challenge.

Bells Bend is a great park! We have done multiple programs with Ranger Chris (geocaching and soap carving). He's great! Very informative and great with the kids!

Farm day was great. More food venders would've made it better "burgers, hotdogs" :). Bells Bend itself is a wonderful outdoors experience for nature lovers.

Simply AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stayed overnight for a camp and hear only the cricket sound and it's still Nashville... Great experience...

  • Josh Maxey

Our favorite spot but watch your belongings. We saw a cars window busted out at the first entrance parking lot last week.

If you're looking for a great, quiet walk, this is the place. The views of the surrounding hills are amazing.

Fantastic spot. The grounds are better than the indoor area though. There just isn’t much to look at.

  • sshopper shopahall

Great park. However if you don’t like dogs, bugs, coyotes and the heat, it’s for you. Lots of space,

Great park, usually no one there. Great place to escape to and read or work on laptop by the river

Great information center and beautiful hiking along the river. Bring boots as it can be muddy.

Beautiful and not at all crowded! More outdoors than you can take in in one day!

Nice trails on a farm through fields for short hikes. Is pretty far out of town.

Wow. Beautiful, pure country. Thank you, Nashville, for preserving this area.

Don’t take your dog. Our dog got about 50 tics. Otherwise a nice flat walk.

Great place to let my dog run around off leash - just watch out for snakes.
