Bad and extremely inconvenient experience ordering for pickup. Placed an online order for pickup for a common over the counter med and waited for about 3 hours before deciding to just go ask for a refund on the pickup and buy it myself because at that point I was basically having to do what I ordered pickup to avoid anyway. The pickup was not ready and they didn’t even know they received the order at all, my order hadn’t even been looked at. Once I came there and asked for it it they found the order, realized it had never been looked at, went and got the item within a couple minutes and the order was done, that was all they needed to do. However if I hadn’t come in I don’t think my order would have ever been acknowledged at all because up to that point they hadn’t seen it. It was a huge inconvenience and I might as well have gone in earlier today and bought it myself. Never again

I was sent back and forth between associates who clearly weren't on the same page. One was supposed to enter my insurance information to apply to my pharmacy pick up and didn't. He then dismissed me when I was asked to stand in his line and sent me back to the back of the line I started in. The associates were rarely wearing masks correctly (noses out) which is frankly unforgivable in a health care profession such as pharmacy. I called ahead only to have my call ring for 20 minutes during two separate attempts before being hung up on. There were at least 5 people at work yet somehow nobody answering phones, my pick up was a mess, and none seemed all that clear on what was going on. All told, I wasted 45 minutes because the techs only did part of my order and I had to go back and forth between lines. Will not be coming back.

I honestly hate to give such a bad review because in person, the people that work here are SUPER nice. That being said. They need help. Seriously. Tried calling all morning because my prescriptions showed "in progress". No one would answer the phone. I just kept getting a message that they were unable to take my call and to call back later. Finally wound up in queue and was on hold for nearly 2 hours waiting for someone to pick up. When I spoke to someone she said my prescriptions would "probably be ready at 3". An hour and 45 minutes from now. I explained that I'm currently not mobile and needed someone to pick up my prescriptions and needed a definitive time. She said "ok 3". I'm not feeling very confident as this has happened many time before and when I walk up, they scramble to get my prescriptions together.

This Cvs should be shut down. I just had surgery and my surgeon and another dr put in prescriptions more than 72 hrs ago. Called pharmacy for three days in a row and no answer. Called and asked for store manager at 24 hrs. Spoke with store manager who said he would check and call back or have pharmacist call back. Nada. Called again at 48 hours store manager said pharmacist would call. She called and said they are understaffed and apparently she screwed up the prescription instructions . Called Dr who faxed over new instructions. 24 hrs later nada. This CVS is dangerous. Irony, filing complaints with California pharmacy board which has no human only voice mail that tells how to file a complaint and they may investigate and respond within 6 months!

Go literally anywhere but here. I would not have gone here if it was not the absolute last resort. I was in urgent need of medication for a migraine and Pavillions did not have it in stock immediately, The staff at CVS was rude and I waited 30 minutes on hold (timed it on my phone) then another 37 minutes on hold again, and finally 48 minutes on hold - each time I waited that long and then when they answered they just hung up. They couldn't figure out a simple prescription - and I finally just drove over and there were FIVE employees standing around!!! Not one of them was answering/on the phone with a patient. NOT ONE of the five. NEVER EVER go there - if you are desperate and in pain, just search a little further to find another pharmacy.

Review of pharmacy only- Annoying & Constant problematic service since using from May 2019 & the automated system should be replaced!. Had to ask repeatedly not to have automatic refills done. Was supposed to be removed from system months ago but still get notifications meds being processed and when i called Today to see if open Easter for someone else system tells me i have a script pending. Staff seemed different every time and once a disabled gal with vision problems and who knows what else couldn't enter info right and screwed up both my and friends meds. Utilize Pavilions or Rite-aid now. I miss The excellent service of Sharp Rees Steeley & Burns pharmacy, (which closed). Bring the only pharm in Del Mar its prob overloaded.

The pharmacist on March 2nd 2023 at 7pm was extremely rude and unhelpful when I called to inquire about my wife’s medication which has a history of being incorrectly filled and managed by this particular pharmacy. It is sad how condescending and nasty he was over the phone and wouldn’t even let me speak or ask questions as he continually talked over me as I speaking, cut me off, made sarcastic comments and talked down to me as if I was unintelligent. CVS should be ashamed to employ someone who treats their customers that way. Would never recommend this pharmacy to anyone and I hope he one day gets spoken to the way he speaks to his customers so he can see how rude he truly is.

This is my second time I get disappointed at the staff of this branch. I had my prescription transferred to this location through the app. I stopped by the store as well, there was a super mean person named “Anh” whose behavior was so unprofessional and disrespectful. She angrily said go do it online, I said I did and even though if I haven’t I am asking you to do. She said ok I placed the order for tomorrow at 10 am. Guess what she had not!!!! I just stopped by after two days and they said there is no order for you. I really think management should do sth about this person. Is this not her first time treating ppl like this.

I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service at their pharmacy. After relocating to Del Mar from out of state there were some issues with transferring my prescription data and dealing with my new health insurance. The personnel were very patient, making multiple phone calls to resolve the problem, all this during a rather busy day period, when the pharmacy buzzed like a bee hive. Last fall they reminded me of and administered my flu shot. My experience over the last year remains very positive, both regarding the pharmacy and the store.

When I approached the pharmacy I could hear “one pharmacy call” over and over again but I was the only one in line so I walked right up. The clerk got over to me after a few minutes and helped me (still “one pharmacy call” repeating). I needed to wait for my prescription and sat down. Still no one in line... that announcement, “one pharmacy call” just kept going and going. No one answered the call the entire time I waited, but two customers that walked up were taken care of. This was 8:30 pm, they close at 9. No wonder I never get through!

I went there to pick up my medicine, they told me it woild take about 20-25 minutes. I waited there and about 25 minutes later I went back and they said that there was a mistake. They did not have my medicine in stock and it will be tomorrow. Next day I go there and asked for my medicine and they said that their order did not go through and it will be there the next day. Inconsistent information, no updates, and no customer service. I am not sure if they run a pharmacy or some other random retail store that does not have a manager.

I find it hard to believe that there are any negative comments about this CVS. From the pharmacists, (especially Mimi) to the pharmacist assistants, to the front staff, this store is professional and very accommodating. It is always neat and I am met with a warm greeting each time I come in. Although everyone in the front should be recognized, it is Kent that makes me feel that I am walking into a neighborhood store, not a chain. Thanks to you all!

The worst store pharmacy I ever met. My daughter's commonly used antibiotic the guy there first told me we need to wait till next Monday to get it. That is medicine for urgent care. Then they direct me to another store. When I checked the other store, they don't have either. I complained to this store manager and the manager said the guy who gave wrong information is just student. A total mess in this store. Don't use this pharmacy!

I visited the pharmacy to get my daughter a TDap vaccine booster. After she received the shot, I was told I had to go back in line to get a copy of the record so I could send it to her school. In the end, they couldn't print it a record and I had to go back again later in the week. What doctor won't give a record of a vaccine shot right there and then? Is that even legal? Terribly disorganized. I will not return.

Super slow. You would waste your time there. One time I had to wait two weeks for my prescription, they were saying we have ordered it and it will take a long time to get it. Then I learned it was an oc medications. Such a stupid ….All the pharmacy folks also don’t practice a good hygiene. It is really disappointing. I think some of them don’t shower for weeks!

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!! I have clearly told them that I must get my medicine today. They lost my medicine list and told me that they would contact my doctor and let me to pick up the medicine after 20 minutes. I waited for 30 minutes. When I back, they did not contact my doctor and told me to wait 20 minutes again. INCOMPREHENSIBLE SERVICE!!

Very poor service. I was discriminated against because of the medication I was under. The pharmacist was rude and loud and made me feel embarrassed. Had to go to another pharmacy to fulfill my order. VERY INCONVENIENT AND PAINFUL PROCESS!!! Go someplace else, your money and time are worth more than their discrimination and poor service!

Should have an assigned person to answer the phone. They never answer the phone and have terrible service. Sometimes they don't deliver critical meds that were ordered for delivery. In the past few years they have gone downhill. Just about ready to switch after being a customer for decades. My vet has better service.

Hands down THE WORST CVS ever. Manager continually ignores customers - frequently with lines of over 5-10 people. Nobody will ever help in the photo section. I would rather drive 10 miles each way to another store than ever visit this store again!!! Manager should be demoted to night stockboy - or fired altogether.

Twice I stopped to ask the pharmacist a basic question and received the same answer 'I do not diagnose' which is code for 'I have no clue'. Asking a simple question like what over the counter cream to use for fungus is not rocket science. I'm sorry but this CVS needs to invest in a more competent pharmacist.

Every time I call to order and confirm my prescription I ask for only 30 days. Every single time without a miss even when I call to confirm 30 days, I arrive to 90 days. And then wait another 15 minutes while they fix it. Every single time. Speed and accuracy is definitely star value. Single star

I have been filling prescriptions here for a year, they constantly tell me that my script will be ready over the phone and it is not when I arrive. They have not consistently enforced the mask policy and as someone with asthma it makes me feel unsafe to go in. I will no longer be coming here.

Went to CVS today after a horrible experience at Vons and a wonderful employee named Michelle helped me! She had the BEST Customer service I’ve had in years! Wow…. The world would be a better place if more Michelle’s were in it! Have her twin people! Give her a raise! She’s amazing!!!

Hands down this CVS pharmacy is one of the best... Best in customer experience, pharmacists are caring and educational, and they carry the largest inventory of meds. I have been with Savon-on, Haagen, etc. and finally with this CVS for past 3 years and the relationship is the best!!!

Pharmacist named Mimi not very nice or professional at all. I had to give all of my practice information all over again including DEA # even though she had 4 other prescriptions from us from today in her system. We will not be recommending this pharmacy to any of our patients.

Don’t believe them if they tell you your meds are on order and will be there tomorrow. Did not order. We’re on back order so could not get them. Don’t believe them if they tell you they will transfer your prescription to another store. Call the other store to confirm.

They are patient and wonderful. The online still shows closing at midnight, however they said they have been closing at 11:00 p.m. for years. They still let me shop until about 11:25 and ring me out without any problems. Absolutely amazing customer service!

Continually the main phone number (not the pharmacy) rings and isn't answered. A few minutes ago I gave up afterwaiting 9 minutes. Surely some staff member could pick up the phone. This is not a customer serving business.

The website says open until 12am on Sunday (hours just updated by the business). I went in at 6:35pm and was told the pharmacy closes as 6pm. There was a sign right next to the window that said 8am-12am everyday…

When I went in for passport photos I saw that they keep everyone’s digital passport photos, including kids’, saved on their memory stick and I find that to be weird. They should delete them all.

Pharmacy filled script for 120 pills with 50 pills one refil. Took it for refill said I needed new script. Some one stole 60 controlled pills. Referred them to state board of pharmacy
