Went in to extract a tooth and possibly have an implant after being recommended by my dentist in Ottawa. Waited an hour and a half to be seen. Then when I was called the dentist Dr. Khan and assistant (?) did not even introduce themselves and started getting right down to business. Seemed to be in a huge rush and made me feel like a number. Then gave me anesthesia and kept me waiting for almost 30 mins before they came back. And then went right into it without explaining anything or seeming to care to talk through the process. Once done the dentist said to come back in a few weeks and left. Possibly the worst service I've ever received anywhere. You have to realize that although you do this everyday, getting a tooth extracted and getting an implant is not an everyday thing for most people. Be more caring and compassionate and more HUMAN! The reason for a 2-star and not 1 is because at least the place was clean.

Dr. Cosman was too busy watching the news on the T.V. in the patient treatment room to be aware of and treat my dental issues properly. I brought a large chunk of my tooth that fell off to show him and he was not immediately able to discern where on my teeth it came from?? When Dr. Cosman was on holidays I called in about concern over my impacted tooth. The office replied that he was away for an extended period of time for family issues which was understandable yet never offered any help for my issue from another resident dentist, leaving me in pain for an extended period of time. All worked out for the best as I left their office for good and am extremely happy with the support, caring, and very professional service of Dawson Dental!

I have been a patient at this clinic for more than 20 years when it was first located at the Cataraqui Town Center. I have never had a negative experience despite the fact that I am not the best patient in the world. The hygienists are awesome and really go beyond the call of duty. My current doctor. Dr. Brett is an amazing doctor with an outstanding bed side manner. He informs me at every step on what he is doing. He has a great personality and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist. Now despite the fact he graduated from Western ( I went to Queens) he knows his stuff and I trust him implicitly. Thank you to all the staff at this outstanding clinic for making my visits smooth and as comfortable as possible.

Yesterday I had an appointment for an assessment and wasn't expecting to get any work done. As it turned out I had to get my wisdom tooth pulled. This was such a great experience and had little to no pain afterwards, but of course had to take medication for the swelling that evening, an when I woke up the next day I was feeling pretty good for having a tooth pulled. Thank you so much Cataraqui Dental it was a great experience. My dentist was great and very nice I appreciate everything that was done. This is where I will always go best experience I have ever had going to make an appointment after the new year to get some more work done I would recommend them to anyone they treat you like family there

I was the little girl who could not wait to go to see my dentist who I considered to be my friend! I still cannot wait to go to see my dentist, Dr. McDonough and his incredible team and fellow dentists, over 40 years after my wonderful childhood experience. From the minute I walk through the entrance to the clinic, to my departure, I am given kindness and care especially during these challenging times. The guy with two thumbs up ran over wrong tooth. His assistant said he wasn't supposed to be doing that tooth like I wasn't there. Ruled it iut as a chipped tooth. Said I must have chipped it when brought up to hyginest. Good artist. Learn to grow a pair. Wait till I get back there. The tooth he just did chipped. He'll be fixing it one way or the other. Mr Dhumum. Lol staff are rude!! Check your data base for my name....Sick of this guy Dr.Holmes recommended himself in his replacement who was my Dr all my life till two years ago. What disrespectful MR DHUMUM.. How much you make a year?!??

I've been treated by this service for more than 3 decades and I couldn't say enough good things about my experience. I attended the centre today [May 29, 2020] and the treatment I received from Dr. Patrick McDonough was wonderful! Thank you Cat Dental for taking such good care of me. My husband & I have been going to Cataraqui Dental Centre for a few years now & the staff are all fantastic. It is a very calm atmosphere & the level of service is great. I mentioned to Harley, my dental hygenist, that my former dentist didn't do a lot of the things that Cataraqui Dental does, from Cancer checks around your mouth & neck area to understanding & being proactive when they know a patient has severe allergies to products. They work with the patient & that's what makes it a great place to have all of your dental care done.

I am a new patient with them, and my experience is not so good so far. the staff is nice and the climate of the clinic nice too. But the impression I took is that they are all about getting money out of me. I went there for a general checkup and left with a list of diagnosis and appointments. And since my first appointment of treatment I have been having a problem with my tooth. went back twice regarding that problem and no fix so far and no clear diagnosis or explanation for it. I feel frustrated.

I'm a foster parent and had an youth suddenly placed on the weekend and found out she had a new patient exam Monday. I called at 9:30 for a 3 in the afternoon appointment asking to rebook as getting her there wasn't possible given the last minute placement with me (and I was not the one who made the appointment). Not only was I told no, but I was politely told not to rebook/use their services anymore as its not allowable, even though I explained the unique situation??

Due to my own negligence, I had an abscess develop, which got out of hand quickly. Upon calling around, I was able to get an emergency appointment within 2 hours with Dr McDonough. The entire team seemed energetic and happy to be there, and were incredibly accommodating and supportive to my needs and wishes. I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but these folks absolutely took it to the next level and made me feel at home. Thanks again, I can’t recommend this office enough!

I recently returned to Cataraqui Dental after switching to another dentist over a year ago. I had some terrible tooth pain that wasn't getting resolved, but Dr. Cosman quickly identified the problem tooth and booked me in for a root canal. The whole procedure was very short and almost painless. My quality of life has definitely improved since having the root canal as I almost instantly had no more pain and can eat on both sides of my mouth. Thanks!

Monica and Veronica were incredibly kind, personable & professional. Both Veronica and Monica made my son and I feel comfortable and relaxed. It was evident that they enjoyed there chosen fields and they are experts! Thank you both so much! (I have been a client for 20+ years and the service has always been great. My family and I had two appts. over the last several days and the service was so great that it lead me to write a review.)

I was misdiagnosed with having a cavity, then when I came in they recommended putting a precautionary/preventative filling on my tooth, which ended up not being covered by my insurance. Now, about 2 years later, the filling that was supposed to be preventative just broke off, taking out about a quarter of my tooth with it, so basically I just paid hundreds of dollars for them to destroy my tooth.

I am consistently impressed with the care and attention my family has received over the years at Cataraqui Dental. Staff are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I recently had a very painful abscessed tooth and they went above and beyond to quickly accommodate and address the situation to provide some much needed relief. I would give them a six star rating if I could!

My husband and I have both been extremely happy with the care we receive from this office. From dentists, to hygienists, to care coordinator and admin staff- all professional, friendly, prompt and kind! More recently, we have also been pleased with the care for our toddler (big chip in his tooth!). Glad to have found this clinic when we moved to Kingston 5 years ago.

The staff are so nice no matter who I go to. The other day I was waiting longer than usual for the doctor to come check in on me, which wasn’t a big deal at all for me, but one of the nurses gave me a gift card to Tim’s as an apology! The staff truly care about patients and they’re needs and it’s always a good time , even when your teeth are having a bad time.

I had an amazing experience here. I needed a lot of work and I was terrified of the dentist. The entire staff here was very kind and helped me be comfortable and at ease. Not only this but I had no coverage for dental work and they helped me find the lowest cost to some procedures and gave some things for no charge. I will go back and highly recommend them.

Went to see Dr. McDonough and had a great experience. I needed to have my wisdom teeth pulled and they did the surgery quickly and I have had no pain since (the surgery was yesterday morning). I don't think anyone can claim that they'll make a procedure that easy, but I'm not a big fan of having tools in my mouth and all the staff made me very comfortable!

Great place. Has a really warm atmosphere, and the dental hygienists are all welcoming and happy, it is really a pleasure going in. They are a bit expensive, but worth the expense. Been with them for 4 years now and sofar no issues. I have had to have older fillings repaired that were done at Altima before switching over and they all turned out great.

I have been going to Cataraqui Dental for several years. Always excellent care from Dr. McDonough, he is patient, and takes time to explain every step of the procedure. The care he and his team provide is exceptional. My hygienist Michelle is excellent as well. The entire team makes going to the dentist a little easier. Thank you Cataraqui Dental!!

Terrible dental office. They do not make you feel comfortable and both the dentists and hygienists have no idea what they are doing in regards to your care. From my experience this is one of the worst dental offices in Kingston, Ontario and should be avoided at all costs. They do not accommodate insurance very well and overcharge on their services.

By far the best dental office ever!!! Dr. Empringham is absolutely amazing! He and his team are professional, very gentle and such fun!!! Dr. Cosman is also amazing! He did a dental implant for me, after I had been told by others that it couldn’t be done. Honestly, if you are looking for a dental office, call them. You will not be disappointed.

Terrible customer service. I was a client of many years, missed one appointment and Dr. Holmes' staff told me I was not welcome to reschedule. They lost 3 clients as a result of this - myself, my son and my mom (a client of 25 years), who was also disgusted with their attitude. But they don't care about you, you're just a number to them.

Great service. Everyone here is lovely, lots of smiles! Provides reminder calls about appointments and they have an area specifically for kids - they are great with the kids! Back entrance can be used for exiting after surgical procedures so you aren't going by people when you're all groggy post procedure.

Had to have years of fixing done after Dr. Holmes botched my mouth up. Didn't listen. Didn't go gentle. Didn't tell me I needed crowns. I've had multiple dentists tell me that giving me two root canals and not reccomending crowns cost me two teeth. Didn't like the place when I went. Like it less now.

I broke a tooth yesterday so I called this morning for an appointment. I was able to get in a few hours later. Both Dr Cosman and tech Danielle made me feel at ease and my tooth was repaired with ease. I've been a patient for a fee years and today was even more affirmation of a great clinic. …

If you don't really like going to the dentist, I left my dentist office after 35 yrs and came here, very professional and courteous staff and are very friendly and understanding. I guarantee you will look forward to going to this one it has to be the best in Kingston ! You won't regret it !

I had an appointment dealing with an abscessed tooth. Dr. McDonough is who I dealt with and he was great! Will be going to him from now on for all dental needs. He is very relaxed and his number one priority was my comfort. My best experience at a dentist and I had a tooth extracted :)

The staff is always so helpful, and they try their best to make you as comfortable as possible. If I was being biased this rating probably would have been a four because of how bad my dental anxiety is, but that's not their fault so I'm giving them a five.
