Champion's is in the old Hurricane's location and it's awesome. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place was clean. We had an early dinner so other than a few people at the bar we were the only diners. But it got busy just before we left. My husband wanted some tacos that wasn't on the menu and they were happy to make them. I believe we discovered the secret menu on our first visit . We both ordered the Champion's Burrito. It has steak, chicken, and shrimp. Just delicious and perfect. The salsa here is perfect. Has just a little bite to it. We will be back. I highly recommend Champions. Our waitress was Darelinia. ( I am sure I mess that up so sorry) she was so sweet.

We all love sports bar and we all love our local Mexican spots. Why not both? This place feels new but is super comfortable with lots of booths and a lively bar. Impressed with the cleanliness and attentive service there are all sorts of full bar options including massive beers and those drinks that come in fish bowls. One thing I loved is that the dishes feature some unique options for a Mexican restaurant. I ordered a machete which I've never had a dish like it. Kind of a fluffy corn tortilla stuffed with chicken and chorizo. It was exceptional. I can't wait to return. Highly recommend.

Great friendly environment. If you are into sports they show all the games and if possible would accommodate game request in their different TVs. The manager is an always paying attention to every detail which is great when having an out. The flavor profile of their food is unique and flavorful, completely different from all the restaurant around the area. You definitely get your moneys worth. If you follow their page on FB, Instagram they usually have Saturday night events (Dj, Live music) . I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for good vibes food and drinks. Best sports bar in the areas with the biggest TVs and a full menu.

This place is awesome. It has a great sports vibe and their food is on point. The outside patio is very nice and there's t.v's everywhere. As far as the food goes, I ordered the taco salad and my wife ordered the pic 3 and a birria taco. It was absolutely amazing. This is the 5th time we have been here and the only down side that we noticed is they give a very small amount of rice. Not a big deal unless you are a rice lover. Other than that we don't have a complaint and we say give this place a try!

Jeanette, Kylie, Karla, Jennifer and Angie are the best. Great bartenders. The food is authentic and a great value. Try the flautas and queso you won’t regret it. Glad to see this place taking off. Jeanette is a great new owner who runs this place like she’s been doing it for years. She isn’t afraid to get her hands Dorsey, engages her customers and treats her staff with dignity and respect. The food was pretty good but the service was not great. The place had maybe 3 or 4 tables with people at them and our waitress hardly ever checked on us. We had to ask her to refill drinks multiple times. Their hours aren’t posted anywhere online but on a tiny paper outside, not even on their main entrance doors, so we didn’t know they would be closing at 9. Not only did they not tell us they were closing but they turned all of the TVs off without saying a word to us.

Excellent experience at Champion's. Came here 3 weeks ago and what a surprise! Since then we have tried Nachos, Champion's Parrillada and Tacos. Such a delicious food and a great service. this place is incredible! I am Mexican so I'm pretty biased when it comes to going to eat Mexican food out, when I tell you this is AUTHENTIC, I am impressed!!! the quesabirria tacos are PHENOMENAL, the sopes and the gorditas are so soft and made perfectly. the drinks are relatively cheap and actually taste delicious!! the atmosphere is pretty great, we came 2 days in a row to watch the playoffs and loved every minute!! we will definitely be back!!

Just had my first experience with Champion's.... It is not at all what I expected, while yes there are a lot of TVs set on sport channels, it wasn't a LOUD, raukus environment. While it is VERY bright, paint colors and wattage (please dim them at dusk) it was peaceful and calm. The environment was very pleasing (yet bright ). The service was excellent was was the food. I will be back and I will bring friends with me

It's literally the best Mexican food I've had in Jacksonville; I say that with at least 20 other places, including food trucks that I've tried. Food is spot on, drinks are wonderful, the atmosphere is inviting, and the staff is attentive. This was so unexpected, and I find myself finding days to come, and experience the more!

What an experience! Angie, our bartender was amazing, and the food was delicious. Lagubernadora taco (steak/shrimp/avacodo/awesome seasoning) was my favorite. I think that was the name.. Listen folks, this is a new establishment, and best come get yours in before it’s too busy to sit down.. once the city finds out about this restaurant we will be waiting outside.. just saying…you will NOT be disappointed.

Saw this on Facebook and felt it needed a try. Food was delicious. Mango margarita was scrumptious. We had the taco salad with chicken and the Chamopions Platter which was so much food but you get a little but of b everything. I don't usually like the Esquites, but I have to say I did enjoy it

We visited this new restaurant today, Get ready for a little spice in the salsa & chips right when sit down yum. We ordered a few dishes to try the Champion Fajitas was really good mixed meats. Chicken grilled with queso. The Guacamole was really good. Over all I would recommend giving this new place a try. We definitely will be back !

Courtney was great. Chicken fajitas good, but only two tortillas...beef burrito bland, rice and beans as well. Food got cold quick on cold plates. Chips and salsa AMAZING! Organic margaritas to die for!!!!!! Music WAY too loud. Great atmosphere otherwise. Friendly staff. Will return to try other things.

Holy cow, it was soooo good. We split the Parrillada & they brought out a huge mix of awesomeness on a table-side charcoal grill. Our server, Angie, was phenomenal as well! So glad to have this new spot in the neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and hit this place up ASAP!

Champions Mexican restaurant was a pleasant dining experience for us. It was our first time and we’ll be coming back. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the food was really good. It gives authentic and chill, my kinda vibes.
