"Nice shopping centre and getting better all the time"
"Shiny mini mall and low key temple to consumerism"
"Onsite parking is limited to 3 hours, with steep overstay fines issued by the centre in conjunction with the local council"
"Came here to have a look around on my travels around Tasmania, I must look funny because security followed me multiple times"
"Not gonna lie this place is finally getting its A game on! New interesting outlets! The square is a bit of a nice space (especially around Xmas time!)"
Nice shopping centre and getting better all the time. Had to run to the loo and as always seemed to be pee all over the floor in the men's. This is a reflection on the customers more so than the centre as they do seem to clean the toilets regularly, just disappointing people can't respect public amenities. Heaps of food options from pizza to Japanese, subway, legs n breast etc. A Woolies and a Big W, even an EB games, plus 3 banks. A few clothing stores, homewares and a massage parlour. There is even a chemist and newsagent on site. Plenty of shops to look around for the small city of Kingston, lots of parking and always seems to be more popping up. There is even a play centre for the kiddies!
Shiny mini mall and low key temple to consumerism. Go if you want to see some glittery watches, or an overpriced plate from Habitat, or some groceries from Woolies. Be warned, sometimes other patrons don't wear shirts. Undercover parking, and heaps of it. I would actually say the parking is a highlight, for a parking lot, it has a nice vibe. A far cry from the Channel Court of yore, an 80's neo-brutalist wasteland of peeling paint and white washed besa brick, and tiny shops, probably surviving only on community goodwill and money laundering.
Onsite parking is limited to 3 hours, with steep overstay fines issued by the centre in conjunction with the local council. Correspondence with centre management showed a blatant lack of concern for their customers, particularly those travelling with young children. While the centre is happy to work with the local council to issue fines, they are not willing to work together to provide better parking solutions for families of young children and the elderly. No longer my "preferred shopping destination South of Hobart".
Came here to have a look around on my travels around Tasmania, I must look funny because security followed me multiple times. Asked one for directions to big W just to make it known I see them Watching me. I left without question. Felt unsafe and un welcome. By the way I own a small business in the NT and make more money in a day they could in a month. Don't judge a book by it's cover. You seen I was part Aboriginal and had gold chains on and thought I was stealing. Disgusting security team.... Never to return here
Not gonna lie this place is finally getting its A game on! New interesting outlets! The square is a bit of a nice space (especially around Xmas time!). Years ago I mentioned it would be awesome to be able to use the Woolworths and still access internet on mobile. Still a few dead spots in the supermarket which alas...! Particularly like Korean eatery (Young's Table) and Resource Asian grocery store. I love Keiser Craft! Telstra is ok but they will upsell you without you even knowing so be on alert!
Much needed shopping centre servicing Kingborough, but also the closest for those living in the Huon Valley. Big W, Woolworths, The Great Escape indoor play centre, Australia Post, Service Tasmania, Priceline Pharmacy, Bento Japanese, Liveat restaurant, clothing retailers are fav's with me. A range of banks, Coles supermarket, LINC library, petrol station, Shiploads discount store all nearby. A dedicated, groovy, non-chain cafe would be an improvement.
I have just had the most wonderful experience at your complex. I took my 2 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter to see Santa last Friday and it was just the best Santa commented on the new dress that was being worn and accepted the letter that was bought especially for him. We were not rushed and it is something they will remember for a long time....well worth the drive for Devonport to share this with them. Thank you Santa.
It really is an Extraordinary Ambience!! Thankyou to the Whole Team Involved ❤ at Channel Court and in the Courtyard, to provide the Mini- Football ⚽️ goals and balls, for children (the young and old fans) alike to play fun activities, each and every day (when it is possible) for fanfare, fitness, physical activity and pleasure! Have a great night .. See you next time, out on the Pitch!! from Benjamin XOXO
The thing that this facility really needed was a well-thought through master plan. The layout is haphazard and not optimised for exposure to foot-traffic, which is one of the reasons retail tenants aren't willing to pay high rents to be there - they still have a lot of vacancies. I'm guessing that there's a regular clientele visiting the anchor tenants which helps to keep the place afloat...
Loved the place. Convenient parking, clean area and shops. Quiet and polite people both in the shop and customers. Good selection of shops and easy to shop in for me and my elderly mum. Clean rest rooms and choice of cafe's completed a lovely day out. Even the arrangement of goods in the shops seemed inviting and uncluttered. We will definitely go back soon.
Good little collection of shops that have popped up over the last few years. Not the most well thought-out layout though, and it all feels a bit disconnected. Also could really do with a Boost Juice store, or something similar, and maybe another fast food option, as Maccas and KFC aren't in the most convenient location for a lot of people in Kingston.
Channel court is a mixed bag. It is a place that is good but not built right. There is a lot of empty floor space that could have been shops if designed right. The shops that are there are the wrong fit to where it is. They need to get this fixed ASAP. The one thing saving it is the Massive BIG W which is maintained very well by the friendly staff.
Has most shops you need to get most things...shoes, accessories, ladies clothing, homewares, jewellery, BigW, Woolies, hairdresser, chemist, sport store, newsagents, banks, food court and restaurants. Quiet just about all the time, with busyness at Christmas being the exception, and perhaps some Saturdays!
Although the parking was convenient and plenty of, I found the tenancy layout quite strange and confusing. Lucky they have Big W as an anchor tenant. Also they might consider supervision of the children play area. We had to care for a very young child left unattended by her father.
Some good shops but is becoming a destination as a service centre. Too many empty stores detract from the experience. Some excellent restaurants and cafes and clothing stores make a trip worthwhile.Parking is adequate but don't overstay as the Centre is quite ruthless .
Not too much to say. Some OK shops and woolworths. Parking and actually finding your way through the place can be tricky until you get used to it. Some good food shops but they are not in the main part of the centre. Salamanca Fresh is handy, overall ok.
Poor parking structure and why oh why do the shops along the top row not have windows and doors facing into the carpark? Do they want these companies to go bust? Shops in certain areas get little foot traffic due to the structure of the layout.
Spent the morning shopping and attending 3 appointments with my wife who is a disability pensioner. We stated early attending the 3 appointments a coffee break shopping the a quick lunch at timeless. Guess what. We had Spent 3 hours 20min
We are very lucky to have channel court shopping.you can get most things there.good takeaway foods, cafes, news agency ,post office, banks, shops for shoes clothes and everything the city has to offer.big w is on a par with kmart
I like this shopping centre. Just it is sad there is only woolworths and BigW. More shops would be better. Very tricky to take trolley with shopping downstairs. I will keep suporting this place hoping they will improve.
The newest shopping complex in southen Tas (2018) under cover parking, woolworths, Big W, cafés, all big 4 banks (via main road), few restaurants, BWS, and plenty of other small stores. Clean and convenient layout too.
What's there's OK, but there's so little there it's a bit of an embarrassment. Kingston is a great (ie. awful) example of fragmented retail development with four 'shopping centres' all of which are modest
A very clean, well laid out multi-level shopping centre with onsite car-parking. The anchor store here is Woolworths, although Salamanca Fresh is my tip for fresh fruit & vegetables, meat & deli items.
Modern comprehensive shopping centre with great toilets, supermarket x 2, many good eating places and plenty of parking. Watch out for the three hour underground parking limit which is poorly signed.
Good baby change facilities near priceline, plenty of free parking (mostly 3 hour), fun outside play area for toddlers /young kids, state library next door and Kingdom Coffee just a short walk away.
A great selection of different little shops and the convenience of Big W and woolies. Multiple cafes and little takeaway shops if your hungry and a nice little outdoor play area for the kids …
Great little shopping centre. The selection of stores suits most of your general shopping needs therefore not requiring to trip further afield. Makes it an easy decision to head here for a shop.
initially if you go there it has limited signage it so hard find your way around ...once you've been there a few times it has got some good shopping . Big W Woolworths Telstra and other stores
Great place to go to get all the shopping done without going into Hobart town. We have found it especially useful since our little one came along. Great kid shop, with awsome shoe collection.
Waiting to see what stores open up next! A few vacant shops - some good clothing and home wares though as well as cheaper stores such as Dimmeys and Big W. thumbs up for new eatery - LiveEat
If it had a wider selection of stores it would be pretty much perfect. Good accessibility in the new construction area (Priceline and Woolworths side) and in the older store access (big w)
Channel Court has lots of great shops to visit and very good toilets as they are up to date and get cleaned often, they also have a children's play area which may be useful to some people
Great amount of parking but very disjointed, you gave to leave a section to get to another. So many empty shops, owners of the centre should be doing more to encourage local shopping.
One stop Shop, everything you need in one place. Heaps of undercover parking so you never get wet loading your car! Enjoy refreshments at Mr Johnson's. Lovely homemade goodies.
Nice shopping centre with plenty of stores for a wide shopping experience. Alot of parking options and friendly locals. Was very impressed to see a substantial kids play area.
parking can be easy, shopping is good. Wonder to far and you can easily be looking for your car for a few minutes. Would be easier if they identified their car park better.
It is a very convenient place to go shop. It's small so easy to get around with out getting lost. Could do with a bit off an upgrade/ freshen up though as looking a bit old
I love channel court because the car parking is so easy and so convenient. The staff in the shops are friendly and there is a choice of cafés. I like the coffee at Mr J's .
Always excited to go shopping here..only thing that puts me off is the distance but once I'm there it's adorable and absolutely love the variety of shops and products there
Easy shopping. Tasty hotdog and fresh donuts. Watch out for the parking though...it's not always clearly signed and they will give you a hefty fine if you are over time...
Channel court is an excellent shopping centre, with a wonderful salamanca fresh store and a great woolworths, along with all the other conveniences, you will need
Great until we went to service Tasmania for centrelink there definitely not enough staff. Three people and then the computer system went down. So not happy Jan
Not a very well set out precinct. Too much walking between shops and the shops don't seem to last long. Large Woolworths supermarket with wide range of stock
A great shopping center. Woolies and Salamanca Fresh for your groceries, Telstra shop, Pharmacy, Big W. Escalators and elevators. Plenty of parking.
Really needs some re thinking the design and to get these empty shops filled. To make it a worthy destination and sucessful for all retailers.
Great parking, easy access to all shops, all major banks and post office, major store Big w, woollies, spec savers, price line and banjo's.
It is my local shopping place and everything I need is there. I would like to see more clothing shops for both young and older women though
wie did ya get rida the onli shop that had f*%$#ing mtndew voltage like thats the BEST mntdew. but having eb games there is bloody awsome
Lovely staff at Priceline pharmacy! Well done! The whole team always greet with a smile. So professional too. Highly recommended
A medium size shipping centre. Has a Woolworths and big W plus some speciality stores and a gym. Good amenities and tonnes of parking.
Nice area for the little kids to play. Plenty of shops to browse round. Christmas decorations were better than anywhere in Hobart !
There's not a problem getting around and other shoppers all seem happy which makes your shopping experience a good time to be here.
Typical shopping centre, some shops suffered damage in flood but seems to have repaired ok and fresh, lots of undercover parking.
Had a great experience at the shopping centre I found everything i was looking for I would highly recommend you give it a try
It didn't have much atmosphere as it is very quite, maybe take the Woolworth supermarket out and repla e it with Target.
Lovely little shopping centre. Optus black spot in Woolies so you can't check your recipe ingredients list online …
Big W toilets were all blocked and dirty rubbish laying around the floor, looks like they havnt been cleaned in weeks
Very angry people here... Full of bogans looking for a fight. Steer clear if you want a pleasant shopping experience.
Nice shopping center. Flood repairs have given the shops a chance to spruce themselves up. Improving all the time.
Very big, a little bit annoying you have to exit to go from Big W to Woolworths. Air conditioning wasn't pleasant
A great local shopping centre with good security and good cleaners. The shops are all great and other good deals.
Enjoyed my lunch at Mr Johnson's Cafe. I went to Miller's and Woolworths. I was able to park under cover. Great!
Ok range of stores for a small Tassie shopping centre but not laid out well for easily finding your way around.
Great variety of stores, parking is a bit of a mess but the never ending construction work is the worst part.
We Enjoyed our visit to the Kingston Beach area, checked out the shops and went for a walk along the Beach.
Has a good range and variety of stores generally required by a town population. Quite enjoy shopping there.
Lunch at Timeless Way was brilliant - highly recommend the Roast Turkey Crepe and the Chicken Ceaser Salad.
Great area for shopping, also go to The Timeless way Cafe for amazing coffee and food, exceptional staff.
Underfloor parkings, easy access to shops. Woolworths and BigW, also small stores and cafe/restaurants..
Variety of shops there. I bought 4 tops from Millers. Friendly 2 lady staff there. My favourite brand.
On the small side of shopping centres but has the basics of big w and woolworths for your basic needs
Great place to Shop and to Browse. Good ra ge of Vendors, friendly Area to sit and let Children play
Plenty of parking on the roof. Good selection of shopping stores. Anchored by Woolworths and Big W.
Plenty of room to move around and Penny's bakery is top quality country service with food to match
Could have had more thought gone into the layout of the shopping Centre but otherwise pretty chill
Friendly staff, lots of variety of shops and stores, good range of places to eat or have a cuppa
Very quiet on Sunday but a nice place to shop on a weekday time and Mr Johnson has nice coffee
Really easy to navigate plus had everything you need, service tas, shopping, fashion, bakery
Good selection of shops & produce. Convenient shopping with plenty of undercover parking.
Can usually purchase all that is required. Compact shopping precinct, plenty of parking.
Salamanca fresh has fantastic staff and now awesome range of green produce... Delicious.
I went and bought a footlong sud it was chicken teriyaki great service and lovely staff
Very busy with Christmas shopping. Thank you to all the Cleaners, you do a great job.
It's an enjoyable small shopping centre. More men clothing shops would be terrific.
Good selection of shops, clean, lots of undercover parking & hassle free shopping.
Great place for shopping and a catch up with friends. Plenty of parking available.
More shops and a food court would be nice. All undercover would be even better.
Shop here often.good range of shops.always clean and toilets always excellent.
Everything you need is here!, wide variety of shops and food, alot of parking
All you need , great complex , plenty of variety . One stop shopping centre !
They have different and great shops compared to Glenorchy and New Norfolk...
A little bit complicated to navigate, but still a good shopping experience
