This is an awesome store, the staff @ the Fortitude Valley branch are very customer focussed and design orientated. Their store is beautifully laid out and packed full with an extensive range of stunning products. Make sure you allow plenty of time to explore every nook and cranny, as there are great bargains to be found. Early Settler sales are brilliant and absolutely worth checking out. I've bought many wonderful pieces over the years from other Early Settler stores, particularly in NZ. I've found their unique, quality products stand the test of time, and become treasured pieces. The few items I have sold when I've moved house, have always been snapped up by savvy buyers who know the Early Settler Recollections brand. I'm glad I've found this gem in Fortitude Valley. The Homemaker Mall has other amazing stores too, with plenty of car parks in the basement. There are 2 entrances to the Homemaker Mall car park- one off Wickham St, which is one way and the other off Montpelier St, which is two way.

Terrible delivery service. I made an order a whole month before my move date because I knew that it would take a little bit to order in. I had to ring myself to find out that they were delivering it 3 weeks late. Have had to chase up all of the communication myself.. really poor considering I made a large order and tried to accommodate for business by buying and booking the date I wanted so far in advance. Will not be buying from here again.

Bought a leather couch just over two years ago and it is peeling horribly, tried three times to contact their customer service over the website chat and email. Once I finally got a response to my issue their response was that it was out of warranty and to lay a towel down over the area that is peeling. For the cost of the product I would recommend shopping elsewhere

Wendy had the most bubbly and helpful attitude. My husband and I ended up putting in an order for some teal dining chairs and she was efficient in processing the order and clear in her communication regarding timing of delivery. We left the store with big smiles on our faces. Absolutely loved the fantastic customer service.

Bought a fabric sofa and love seat here less than 1 year ago. Within the first 6 months the seats were sagging and now less than a year later when you sit down bums hit the frame. Also bought a set of coffee tables that have not held up. The brass or brass looking metal has taken on a life of its own.

Very happy with the customer service both in store, and on the phone after when there was a small issue with the item delivered. Rex was a pleasure to deal with and had a replacement item out to us so quickly and with zero fuss. We will definitely be return customers!

I had an issue with one of the furniture items that I bought. Although it was 2 months after the warranty period, they agreed to replace the item (well, after some negotiations). Still waiting for it to take place. But, I am overall happy with their customer service.

We visited the store today and were very impressed with the staff member Rex. He is one of the best sales persons we have dealt with. He was professional, personable, knew his products and was very honest. He is a fabulous face for the company. We will be back

Fantastic shop. I bought some gorgeous fans and had some issues with installation. Store manager Wendy went above and beyond to support the process of troubleshooting and her customer service was impeccable. Highly recommend.

Surprised by how much I enjoyed this retail space - really interesting variety and various price points. Used to dislike the service at Early Settler but think they may have sorted this!

These lads didn't mind the total lack of parking & happily carried our new sideboard up our stairs & saw it properly in position. Full marks.
