This was the worst experience I have ever had with a rental place. I had to rent from here due to being hit by a semi and so while my car was being fixed I had their car for a month. In the process of having their vehicle, a rock hit the windshield while I was on the highway and cracked it. I called them and let them know and asked if I had permission to go get it fixed because I found a reasonable price around $380.00 and the lady told me no don't worry about it because we get better rates which are $150-300 max. So this left me at ease knowing I could save some money. I called a day before dropping it off to verify that $300.00 would be the max and the guy told me yes which I have both conversations on a recorded line. When i get there they tell me a whole different story and that I would have to pay $569.00 and that was the cheapest they could get so naturally I was upset because I was lied to twice and after confronting them telling them what they said to me Mallory told me that they never say for sure because they don't know and then when I let her know I could pull up both calls she was quiet. The man talked to me and expressed that he knows I'm frustrated and I was only prepared to pay the $300 so he would take that payment and then I could make payments on the rest until it was paid. I then gave him my sister's debit card and told him to only take the payment off of that card once because the card did not belong to me and use the original card that was on the account. He told me okay and that he would make sure not to do that. Two weeks pass and the man calls me on a thursday to give me a reminder and I let him know that yes, I will be calling back to make a payment in the next couple of days when I get paid. Next thing I know I'm recieving a call a couple of days later early in the morning. So I called back and said yes, someone called me but I need to make a payment on my account and the lady proceeds to tell me "oh my manager called to let you know that she ran the balance with your card" I immediately said that is not what we discussed and you guys said you would allow me to make payments when I was in here last time and she definitely seemed not to care at all and was basically like there was nothing they could do. So I immediately called my bank and they didn't see any charges so two days later my sister called me in tears because they charged her card for the $169.00 that was NOT MY ACCOUNT NOR WAS IT LEGALLY AUTHORIZED and they took money from her account and completely messed her account up. I am completely fed up and extremely shocked at the ridiculous customer service and lies that were told this entire time and I hope that this issue gets resolved because the next will be them being sued due to me having proof of everything they've told me and lied about.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE at this location specifically! On Wednesday October 23rd I get in from an early flight from Florida and ride the IndyGo to pick up my car (which btw, the lady bus driver was awesome too) ...as soon as I walk in looking like a tired minority...it became obvious that this was going to be a problem...there were no friendly smiles and the looks were less than favorable. So I walk up only to be told 1. They called me while I was in the air (on airplane mode) to tell me they didn't have a car for me until the afternoon, unacceptable! 2. The cars he does have he REFUSES to rent to me at the same cost (which has NEVER happened at any other location) 3. He questions my business here in Indianapolis as if that is any of his business...I am a plus member and get days free from all the rentals I purchase! 4. Then he got combative and decided at that moment that I couldn't rent from that location because I have a Florida DL and a debit card...which has NEVER been a problem..and that reflects on my account as well. He then starts ranting about corporate next door to which I reply, "great I'll go talk to them because you are not helping!" And storm out to walk over to corporate. I didn't get the rude, young caucasian guys name...but it doesnt matter because here's the VICTORY. Thanks to the wonderful front desk mature woman in the Corporate office, the mature woman that picked me up and John at the airport location...I am driving a 2019 Dodge Caravan from Enterprise right now! The enemy tried to defeat me through that young man at the Washington location but he lost!! Out of all the people I have dealt with that day, he was the rudest and most uncooperative person ever! However, I was able to freely enjoy my family and trip. So this location..is a ZERO star. My suggestion: Your customer service people in this location seriously need customer relations training. Also, it should be highlighted in red AT THE BEGINNING of reserving online, on each locations site that there is a stipulation, be it needing a return flight confirmation, Major credit card, deposit and/or DL from that specific State.

The shuttle service and initial pickup was great and went smoothly. However, I had an issue with the vehicle's tire pressure the morning after I picked it up, filled up the tire myself twice, took it to firestone twice and called this location for a week with no answer. Eventually I had to contact another store and told them about the issue and even they couldn't get ahold of anyone. Then I called the corporate number and roadside assistance had to set up a swap out to another vehicle close to closing time at another store where everything was rushed. Firestone said the tire had a slow leak and after having the vehicle for almost a week and seeing how long it took for the low pressure light to come on after filling it up, this Enterprise location most likely filled it up before pickup knowing it had a slow leak before giving it to me (which is why the light didn't come on for a few hours/overnight). Very sad because while a slow tire leak isn't that serious, letting someone take a car with a known issue and then making it impossible to get ahold of someone could be extremely dangerous.

1st experience was terrible, 2nd was better. Was told car would meet me at paint and body shop, we waited about 45 mins so we drive across town when no one showed up, I have full coverage insurance plus uninsured motorists and I couldnt rent a car because it was $50 deposit and I had cash not a charge card. So my whole day was wasted my friend had to drive 3 hours to come back the following day to bring a charge card. 3 hours back, and the employees at enterprise didn’t care at all very slow getting things moving and standing around took a hour to get out of the building yet there were 3 guys there . My experience was not a good one. The first time they didn’t show up and when I finally got to the enterprise to rent a car when I didn’t have a charge card they turned me away like nothing and they were closing yet not even sorry .,I don’t live in indpls. The next guy the following day was polite and helped us . We were thankful . Also the car I finally got just added to the frustration. Take the good with the bad, I think that was intentional as well, because I’m actually pretty smart.

I don’t usually leave reviews ever but had such a terrible experience at this location. I had a reservation at the Avon location and when I got to that location they told us that they didn’t have a large vehicle for us because the one they had came back with damage and keep in mind that I had this book 2 months in advance and they sent us to this location here. When we got to this location they had some larger suvs and then we get check in. And then they tell us that we couldn’t use a debit card to pay. They didn’t even tell us that we couldn’t even use a debit card when I first booked the reservation after everything was already paid for my trip. I’ve rented car from this place for 5 years now and was always able to use a debit card. So then I was told after trying to figure out how to pay if I wanted to cancel the reservation. They told me that they could only accept a debit card on a mini van. I felt like I was discriminated in a way. They lost a customer and not only that but I work for the automotive industry where we buy cars from them and never again.

I usually don't leave negative reviews because I understand how difficult it is to run an establishment. How this place is so non challant baffles me. At this point I don't even think they care about their reputation. We flew in from Texas with our 4 month old for a 12pm reservation, we arrived at 12 50pm only to be told our car was not ready. Initially we were told 25 minutes, 25 minutes became 40 minutes, they tried to give us an alternate SUV and guess what, the SUV also wasn't ready. It was one lie after another, oil change, tire replacement etc After what seemed like an hour, they tried to convince us to take a truck which we refused. Like have they seen the gas prices lately. Anyway we ended up leaving cos the back up they had, needed new tires and was gonna be another 20 minutes, at this time we stopped believing their time estimate. Like I said they don't care about this review cos they think they are doing you a favor, absolutely zero customer service. Take your money somewhere else

I have been a car rental consumer for years in stances a decade have rented through National car rental. I have recently decided to rent from Enterprise on W Washington st. Indianapolis In. 6 months prior rented through Enterprise through insurance company and my experience was phenomenal. So planned major rental 15 passengers van in during same time for major long vacation and dealt with the most unprofessional worker there. Thank goodness I had a back up plan because they still feel unconcern as if they were doing me a favor to rent me a car. I normally do not write reviews or complain even if a company has issues but when your worker are not trained or concerned about whether they rent to you or not and you have business or professional that are renting from your company you need to know why a consumer may rate the service so poorly. I literally felt the intention that the employees there that day was trying to ruin my vacation and so I am going to rent some where else.

I was in desperate need of a full-size pickup truck. I was planning on moving some materials for a house renovation. I called ALL of the enterprise locations in the Indianapolis area. All of which said they did not have any available pickups. I called the Columbus Indiana branch, and spoke with Alexa. She advised that her location did not have any pickup trucks at the time, but that she would put me at the top of her list for any pickup trucks that would be returning in the upcoming days. Sure enough, Alexa called me Saturday morning and informed me of several trucks that had been returned. She read off the makes and models and gave me option to choose which vehicle I wanted. I’ve dealt with this particular branch on many occasions. They’ve always provided excellent customer service. If I ever encountered any problems, they up and beyond to correct them.

The reason for a 4 star review was the wait my family endured when renting. I requested the vehicle in May, 2023. When arriving in August 2023 to pick it up, I waited nearly an hour for this location to have my car ready for me. With the astronomical amount of money paid to rent a vehicle, their systems and protocols are in great need of adjusting (to todays society) to be benefit the customer. I have to say, the customer service at the Indy, West Washington store was amazing. Allyssa took great care of us but her hands seemed to be tied down due to the company’s rules and regulations. Enterprise is a privately owned company. Private companies are great and I make it my business to support such companies. Enterprise should keep the customer at the forefront of their decisions and not be in business simply to make lots and lots and lots of money.

Didn't have the best experience. When I got to the lot, I was about an hour early and was told they didn't have any cars. So they drove me to another Enterprise in Plainville. I thought that was pretty ridiculous. I was not offered an upgrade for the trouble. In fact, I wasn't offered anything. I was given a Ford Focus. The car kept acting like it was going to stall on me every time I hit the accelerator so that made for a nerve-racking ride. I told the office staff about it when I got back. Then they experienced it for themselves when they drove me to my destination in the same car they had rented to me. I may use this Enterprise again but I really hope they provide better service next time. This is really a slow travel time of year so there's no excuse for not having cars on the lot.

HORRIBLE!!! They bait and switched us on the vehicle. They gave us a price for a small car over the phone, we need a bigger vehicle. That was an extra $40 or more. Then they forced insurance on us when we were already covered. THEN, the toll thing they give you didnt even work! I called while we were still on our trip and they said they would reimburse us for the tolls. When we get back from our weekend trip, our total is $340 something, not under $200 like we were told before we left. Today, we get a letter, come to find out, they did NOT reimburse us. AND there was no gas at all in the vehicle when we picked it up. Do NOT go through them theyll rip you off!!

My car was in an accident and the body shop worked closely with Enterprise. They set everything up with Enterprise. I checked my car into the body shop and before I had a chance to sit down, a gentleman from Enterprise said he was there to pick me up and take me to their office to handle the paperwork. The car he picked me up in was my rental. It was brand new, with less than 2k miles on it. The price for the 5 day rental was reasonable, the car was immaculate, and I didn't have to return the car to Enterprise - I just left it at the body shop! No worries about having to find a ride back and forth to Enterprise!!! Great service!!!

Although the location is in a really bad part of town, the rates are so much better than the airport. The staff was AWESOME. They went out of their way to be helpful - even called an Uber to get us back to the airport. I had some difficulty with the car since it was brand new and was not 'trained' yet so next timeI will ask for a car with at least 100 miles on it to avoid almost getting rear ended since the car refused to shift without my manually doing it. But when I told them when I dropped the car off, they were very understanding and helpful. We will be coming back in 3 years and will definitely rent from them again.

The Washington street ERAC location is the most convenient for me and is always available for me when I need them for personal travel. I work for Allstate Insurance and the representatives make sure the cars I rent are clean, damage free and have all the amenities I like. The best part about this location for me is that the location has the night drop box so I can drop off the keys when I return a car plus they allow me to leave my vehicle on the lot while I travel and pick up my car when I return. I love this enterprise location. You guys are the BEST!!!

Save yourself the aggravation and go to Budget car rental just down the street. I arrived on time for my reservation which was the lowest ‘quoted” price on Hotwire but after waiting over 1/2 hour with no none else there the only person working that day was unable to complete the transaction due to “ system processing errors” any was trying to charge far more than the quoted price. Being on a tight schedule, we had to find an alternate solution and found there was a Budget car rental only a mile away where we were quickly processed and on our way.

Enterprise has the best customer service! I have rented cars from other competitors and I have to say that enterprise is the best by far! They go above and beyond to accommodate their customers! I’ve had a few occurrences with a rental car and needed to switch them out and I was able to with no issues. Everyone at the location that I rent from are extremely nice and make sure to keep their customer satisfied! I highly suggest enterprise for your rental needs! They are able to accommodate any request!

I won’t be here anymore!! The staff are rude, the service is terrible and even racist,I have rented cars from this company before, but I will never choose Enterprise in the future, neither I nor my friends and family,I waited here for an hour and a half, the staff completely ignored me, countless people cut in front of me and even rented the car of my choice to someone else, It was a terrible experience, being an all-American car rental chain with no employee management system

My flight was delayed so I called to transfer my reservation to another enterprise that was going to be open when I finally made it into town. I was told I can’t do that and I’d just have to wait until Monday to get a car. I asked if there was anything that could be done to assist me. The representative responded “I can’t sit around 3 or 4 hours and wait for you to get your car.” Absolutely no help whatsoever to remedy an already stressful situation.

This is my 5 years traveling on work and customer calls. I have rented at different places. This is hands down the best rental place. The store manager Rae is so humble and kind. She took care of me while I was checking out and returning the vehicle. She was very down to earth and accommodate my request despite they were busy. Needed a ride from that side of town, while my vehicle was being serviced. It was cheaper to rent a car than purchase a ride home/repair shop. Enterprise found a vehicle on a moments notice and was still less than Lucy cost... Plus I was not without a vehicle , while mine was in the shop... They did not have an available vehicle, however they found one... Fact is they found a second one , after the Armada they found had leather...I am a vegan..

Spencer was rude. I had misinformation from the insurance co. (or I just misunderstood) thinking Enterprise could deliver my rental to my home. I've never had to get a rental after an accident before, had no idea how this worked. Will not be picking up the vehicle. The process of getting my car repaired after someone hit me is too much stress as it is. To be clear: would 100% have gone to pick up the car had he spoken to me like I was human.

For this Enterprise to be a central location to Indianapolis, it’s by far one of the smoothest and least crowded locations with all it has to offer. Jay is a phenomenal leader, knowledgeable, and kind! She is definitely keeping this establishment in tip top shape and is a great asset to the company. I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name but he’s awesome too! Thank you for all you do which is what inspires me the most.

I have rented twice from this location and while the staff is very friendly and helpful I do have to say each time I've rented from here the vehicles have been dirty both inside and out and have had only a quarter of a tank of fuel. Each time I have been under a time crunch and the need to stop for fuel is very inconvenient, while the staff did give me a discount it seems they are always very disorganized here.

This place was awesome. Spencer was super friendly, caught us right by the door as we apparently can't go inside anymore after covid. But he took care of everything right there, the rental process was quick and smooth. And while there was a big hiccup with the return of the vehicle, it was none of their fault and they fixed my billing immediately. Spencer is great and will take care of your every need!

Excellent customer service. Was upgraded for waiting a extra couple minutes due to no fault of there own (power outage during a rainstorm). The car was a Nissan Altima S and it seemed to be well maintained and drove excellently over the course of a 1400+ mile extended weekend road trip. Consider me a loyal customer even though this was my first car rental in quite a few years. Thanks Again Enterprise.

I wish I could give them 5 stars because of how amazing the store manager was. He even waited after close for me to be able to pick up my rental. I paid for a GPS though and it was given to me broken. I work in the industry and unfortunately couldn't get back to have it replaced before our trip. So again, amazing staff amazing customer service.... just a junk GPS that I was charged for.

I was told one price on the phone and when I asked what was the total price I was told I needed to place a $200 deposit on my credit card when I got there making my total be extremely high 500 they never had a car that was ready that I initially asked for was not even clean

The employee that picked us up didn't wear a seat belt, was eating popcorn while driving,he kept punching the gas to take off come to find out I was in my rental he was driving like that, oh yeah not to mention he was in dirty street clothes and he smelled of body odor. They really need to be a little more picky with who they hire to represent their company.

Booked a rental showed up and not only did they not have a truck available until 4 days later, the women helping me was rude. She acted like oh well deal and leave. They wouldn’t even help me find another location for pickup. I had to leave and call customer service. I rent enterprise all the time for business and this is the worst experience Ive ever had.

Never again with this location. They ran transactions off my card without authorization, advised I would receive adjusted/lower rates and I was being charged way more than I should have (well at least from what I was told by Gary & Bekki, both liars), but all together i was bamboozled to thinking they were helping me out, when in all actuality they werent.

The young lady who helped me with my rental car was very nice & professional however when I called them to let them know I drop the car off where I picked it up from they left me on hold for over 15 mins maybe they need to hire a receptionist I don't want my card to be charged for late fees when I've been on hold now for 20 mins and they close at 5 pm

just arrived to pick up a vehicle i had reserved online. When i arrived i, along with the guy in front of me were told "sorry we dont have any vehicles" !! WHAT? how do you accept reservations and then drive all the way over there to be told we have nothing to rent you ? HORRIBLE !! i will NEVER rent from any enterprise car rental ever AGAIN !!

Great Customer Service! I l had car trouble on the way to St. Louis and needed a rental ASAP. The young lady took our information and we were on the road in fifteen minutes! There are Enterprise Rental Companies all on the Northwest side, but I will come back to this Enterprise Rental because of their exceptional customer service! Thank you!

i had an insurance claim rental and had to pay out of pocket two weeks into my rental and then after i paid for another day i was told i couldn’t rent and was made to WALK HOME from the west washington st property 3.5 hour walk alone and was asked if i could buy an uber i stated no i jus gave you all my money and was told to walk home !!!

Didn't have the price range we previously agreed to when I arrived so they moved me up to an awesome SUV at no extra charge. More businesses should take note, it's a good way to maintain repeat customers. The vehicle was absolutely clean when I got it and the attendent made sure I knew how to operate everything before I took off.

I had to rent a vehicle due to my personal car being repaired from an accident. I ended up at this location on West Washington Avenue. Spencer and Josh gave exceptional customer service that you rarely see at ANY company nowadays. I would happily come to this location again as long as they keep hiring employees like these two!

The day I rent another car from these crooked thieves is the day I turn into a pink pony. They ILLEGALLY took $500 out of my bank account without my permission. Geico insurance was paying for the rental in the first place, they had absolutely no business touching my bank account at all. from now on I will be going to Hertz.

This exterprise is close to the airport and cheaper than the enterprise at the airport. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. I reserved a Corolla but got a Mazda CX-5 without increasing the price because it's the only available car then. In general, this is a very pleasant renting experience!

The person who did the vehicle inspection with me did not explain details of their insurance policy well at all and I ended up paying way more than I thought. Really my first bad experience with enterprise.

Getting the car was so easy and fast even though I didn't reserve online. The car they gave me was brand new and had only 12 miles on it. Returning the car was faster. I will definitely rent from them again

People was friendly vehicle was cleaned out good. Explained all of the stuff on car was not full but he wrote it down little over 3/4 of tank. Gave me a upgrade helped with price. I will go back again.

Truck prices are outrageous. Not paying 2,000 to rent a small truck for 5 days. That's a down payment on a brand new truck. This place is ridiculously overpriced
