First, it took 30 minutes to get the car I reserved. I have rented a lot of cars over the years and this seemed to be a lot slower than it needed to be. I was told that I needed to pay a $200 deposit, which was unexpected and presented a hardship. I guess this was because the card I was using had "Debit" printed on it and had to be written up as such, even though it could also operate as a credit card. That they would be do it this way was probably buried somewhere in paragraph 27a, subsection b of the rental agreement and it is my fault for not reading the entire thing. Had I known about this though, I could have been prepared or made other arrangements; maybe some sort of pop-up or warning on the website would have been helpful. So, with my checking account low, I called the branch (today)to see if the $200 refund was in the works. They told me that it had been refunded back to me at 7:00 this morning (as I returned the car after hours). When I explained that they money was not back in my account, they told me I had to take it up with my bank. Of course, my bank had no record of this. I expected that, as I would be able to see it in my checking account online. So the information that they gave me was false. I am not accusing them of lying, but I think that they just wanted me off the phone and dismissed me with "We did our part, take it up with your bank". Clearly their "System" has it queued up to send the refund in a batch process sometime tonight (presumably). If they had refunded my money, it would be in my account. My bank tells me that deposits are not held by them. When they get the money back from a merchant, it goes straight back into my account with no delay. My frustration with them is not that I had to pay a deposit. I wasn't expecting it and was not happy about it, but that was on me. I am not even mad about the delay getting my deposit back. I wasn't expecting it this soon anyway. I am angry, because they falsely told me the money had been refunded and dismissed me by sending me to my bank, when I told them that their information was incorrect. It was as if they were saying, "We did our part, it's your problem now." I wasted time contacting my bank verifying (what I knew) that the information they gave me was false. Just because they clicked the button, does not mean my refund had been issued. For the future, a more accurate statement could go something like: "We started the process to get your deposit back to you at 7:00 this morning. We expect that it should be back in your account in X to Y days." Generally, they were polite and the car was great, which is why this was not a completely awful experience.

I rent a car from this location at least once a month. The service is beyond superb. I am usually in and out within 10 mins. Thats always a plus! Great car selection, awesome employees! #BringBackJoel Update Review: I loved this location and I mean loved it but the last 2 times I have been soooo disappointed. The new team that is there is definitely not up to par with the old team. I reserved a vehicle today and while I was on my way to pick up the rental , they call me 10 minutes prior to my reservation to tell me they do not have any vehicles !!!! Reservations are made for a reason. Had I been contacted earlier then I could have made a few changes to my schedule but 10 minutes prior??? Unacceptable! My previous reservation before this one. The new manager was really rude . I called the 1800 number to file a complaint because it was that bad. They reported it back to the same manager. She then called me to say she was sorry for being rude and the reason she was being that way is because she was dealing with some family issues. I understand we all have bad days but you are in the customer service field. I recommend if its that bad take a day off please. Update: The Assistant Manager Emily , the rep Nay and the area manager addressed the issues I was having. They were awesome and handled me perfectly.

The reason they get a second star is the price point was better than the rest. Now that being said I now know why. I booked a Tahoe almost two months out for a our family trip. I arrive to pick up the car and it's not a Tahoe or Yukon. They are offering me a Nissan armada I told the young man this is not what I rented and I want a Tahoe or Yukon and at first he said we'll you will "have to pack differently" excuse me you don't say that to a customer. So I said no we need to go find one. We'll we go inside and check the area for one. According to them no one has one but if I find one I can exchange it out. So I call the main line and they said yes I could exchange one out if I find one. So I do some calling around. I found one along the way. So I asked is it available for the week and I was told yes. So I told him awesome I would like to come exchange mine out. Now all of a sudden he puts me on hold and then checks again and now the cars rented and I couldn't exchange it. Really great customer service. So we used the armada and that thing was terrible on gas. I did the math and I used over a $100 extra in fuel compared to what a Yukon or Tahoe would have gotten for fuel economy. Not happy with them at all.

Why am I charged $593 for 6 days? I'm from GA, unfortunately I was hit on my pass door traveling thru Indy(01/15/18). Enterprise, generally speaking, always been outstanding with customer service. Local branch in GA amazing! My Claim & repair process taking 50+ days. Progressive only offers 30day/rental. @ end of 30 days(02/18), kept addtional 6days (rtrn 02/24). Rep @ airport branch stated rate would rollover @ Progressives discounted rate. I didn't sign a new contract. I've kept rentals addt days, never been an issue. Initially after aaccident, Progressive proactively setup 4 day rental until we she received estimate and repair options. Enterprise agent offered insurance,$80(20/day), yes sure. Unaware I'd be charged $20 every day after the 4! Two calls to branch (02-27/03-03) placed on hold, disconnect. Contacted thru Enterprise website, still no reply. $593 emptied me. Only traveling home. No spare money. Unable to rent car. Credit Card required, debit not accepted, not local. I'm now literally on the street until my car is repaired. I feel so trapped & helpless. I am completely confused! I can not get a response from Enterprise.

I have been using this branch for almost 4 years now and I could not be any happier! From the great customer service to the shining smiles every time I walk in it is just phenomenal! Joe T is the branch manager at this location, and he always goes above and beyond not only do they treat me like family but I truly feel like I have made some great friends . They have a new young lady in here by the name of Heather, who is also just a ray of shining light. My absolute favorite employee has got to be Robbie. He always makes me laugh. He always has this high energy and every time I see him he is just smiling ear to ear. And last, but not least, do not let me forget D , She is the sweetest girl. I think I have met in a very long time. I absolutely look forward to speaking with her every time I call to renew. I hope you know that you are appreciated and loved It may seem like a simple job renting cars, but you truly make my life So much easier and really helped me through some hard times. I was in a car accident back in late December and my car went into the body shop in January. The shop I used partners with Enterprise. Let me tell you that these guys made the entire process such a great experience! Josh and Joe are AWESOME! I had a small issue with a tire that was not the fault of Enterprise. They gave me NO trouble at all when I needed to trade the vehicle in. In fact, Joe provided EXCEPTIONAL customer service for the troubles. I have lived on the south side of Indy my entire life. I have never rented from this location as it is smaller and you don't notice it. But let me tell you, you're sleeping on this location if you don't visit and rent from them! If I ever need a rental again, I will definitely be using Enterprise on S. East street in Indy!!! Thank you Guys for making a not so great reason to need a rental car into a great experience!!! I'll be back!!

Update **2/22/2021 I have been using this branch for over a year and the customer service and professionalism is superior! I feel like family when I visit this location and I always get the upmost respect and courtesy from Joe, Austin and Noah! The staff here is always very attentive and quick and make renting a car such an easy process. I would HIGHLY suggest this location when considering renting a vehicle. Words cannot describe the exceptional customer service I get from this branch. Emily and Joe are always extremely professional and courteous and help me with all my rental needs. I live closer to the downtown location but the East St branch is where I will always go. If you are looking for rental car and want a place that will give outstanding customer service this is the place!

Everything was pretty easy. I booked online for an immediate reservation, went in and got it. Then called in to extend it later, which was also really easy (though I wish I could have done that online rather than tracking down a phone number and calling a call center) Things I didn't love: -I requested a mid-size car, the website said I would get that, but when I went, they didn't have any and I got upsold to an SUV. -They required me to give them two phone numbers. I only have one phone. This was super annoying. -The car was pretty ok, but the front window had footprints and marks all over it. Not a big deal, but for as much as this costs, I'd expect someone to clean the inside of the window. -kind of surprised that there isn't a contactless experience for pick up these days.

I decided to take a visit this morning because my mom and dad are leaving for a trip, so why not rent a car for the road ? We’ve been here before and the service was excellent. Today, the lady who helped us out was very rude. We asked for pictures of the cars they had available and she didn’t want to show us any, we asked for information about a couple of cars and she kept going inside to “look up information”. The whole time we stood outside which I understand due to covid but the service was horrible. She acted like she didn’t understand what my mother was saying to her, I will definitely not be visiting this store anymore. I’m not sure what the women’s name was. But she had blonde hair.

My plane arrived a few minutes late. My ride dropped me off at enterprise since people were in and out. Found out after words I arrived a few minutes after closing time and walked in. I asked first, then pleaded with the employee because I had reserved a car. The guy behind the counter sent me away into the cold, saying sorry come back tomorrow at 9:00. No rental and miles away from my hotel. If the door had been locked or the employee standing outside would have told me they were closed my trouble would have been avoided. Way to go that extra mile! Got a ride over the next day and got a car. Beats walking!

We rented a car for 2 weeks and this place was amazing. They provided us with a variety of options to choose from and the cars they have were all well maintained. Customer service was wonderful, Joe was extremely friendly and helped us get the best deal! Our family needed to rent a car on short notice to travel to Florida for vacation. The staff at this Enterprise location were extremely helpful, professional, and accommodating. Joe (Branch Manager) helped set everything up for us, streamlining the process from start to drop off. Dee, Kurt, & Robbie were very friendly and helpful when dropping off as well. I had been in a wreck and my insurance company reserved a car for me through Enterprise. I called several times trying to arrange the pick up and was on hold for 25 minutes to have someone pick up the line and then just hang it up. When I finally did get a person on the phone I was told that they didn’t have any cars available even though my insurance company had reserved one. I had to call 3 different locations to finally get a car. But the third location I spoke to at 801 S US31 was finally able to help me and get me in a rental car.

the staff was very friendly and efficient (wish I woulda grabbed names) and they got me in a car I preferred over the one I originally was scheduled to get. They made sure it was clean and gave it a quick wash just to make sure everything was fine. Also make sure you ask about the pay for the gas up front option with gas prices the way they are right now it's usually less expensive than filling up yourself. current prices are around $2.90 a gallon and I was only charged $2.48 for what was in the tank and can now bring it back on empty.

I rent from this location regularly. They are very friendly, helpful and professional. They have picked me up with VERY short notice. A MINOR complaint I have had is that the vehicles sometimes are not cleaned very well. I had to go straight to a gas station and wash the windows on a van we rented once because I couldn't see. When I have had billing errors they have been quick to correct without much hassle. If you do an after hours drop off leave a note of the time to avoid extra fees. Would definitely recommend using this site!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Buyer beware, Enterprise will send you to collections even if an accident is not your fault. Enterprise does not care for the well-being of it's customers. An Enterprise vehicle I was in was totaled, and I was injured and the other driver was 100% at fault. They ensued to threaten, intimidate, and try to get us to pay for an accident they know we were not at fault for. We carry full coverage insurance and are covered by our policy, but they do not want to play within the rules.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Rental confirmation in hand at time of pick up. Then I am told they over sold all their van vehicles. What a joke, Matt,Alex, Joslyn are, a laughing joke if they are called management period! They spoke as if it were my problem and offered 2 small size POS cars to make a drive w 8 people to Alabama. This place is a joke and I will negative review this hole in the wall everyday. Joslyn actually said if they get too busy they dont always get to update their counts,total BS!

Enterprise Rent-A-Car is always outstanding. Whether reserving in advance to sometimes walking in unannounced in an emergency, the staff is always knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They are accommodating when reservations have to be changed, sometimes daily. They even help with parking for your vehicle while you rent theirs and with complimentary rides when needed. Hello I recently had an accident with my vehicle to where I had to rent a car for up to 3 months. He made pick-up and drop-off so convenient and was so helpful during the whole rental process the week I had the car. We drive from BGrove BC the mgr and staff @ the Shadeland location is a very rude and bad experience too many times.

I received the worst service from the enterprise location. My vehicle was vandalized in their parking lot , they had cameras but didn’t provide me any information on the footage. The employee was super rude , asked for some sort of assistance due to the fact as that they knew their vehicles get vandalized and stolen per an employee stated . I wouldn’t rent from this location ever .

I booked a car with them. A minivan, because we were 7 people. They had no 7 seater. Couldn't find us one. Branch were very busy, phone ringing all the time with no one to answer. We tried to call before going there, but no one aswered. Instead of finding us a car as reserved online, told us to keep calling another branchs. We wasted more than an hour of a very busy day.

Me and a man up front discussed charges over and over and the man told me the insurance was included in my price before the deposit, instead he took it out of my deposit. He lied to me to get me out his face and just purchase the rental. They took most of my deposit and now I cannot buy my son what he needs for school graduation. I will never come here again.

I went in a few days ago and I didn't have my ID. Okay great so I left to come back and get something different for proof of identity. When I got back the two ladies in the store completely ignored me and just started helping other people. I was not about to waste my time looking stupid so I took my business elsewhere. I have used Enterprise over 5 years. Great people and great cars. They always do anything to provide great service. If there is ever a problem, it is taken care of on the spot ... you don't have to wait for them to call someone ... they do whatever is needed to make things right. I wish all companies ran there business this way.

Have rented twice now. Staff is friendly and professional. Equipment is obviously first rate and prices are competitive. The only reason for 4 Star was I was not picked up as advertised this time (I was there prior time). They did have secured parking for my personal vehicle though, so that was a plus.

I was very pleased renting from Enterprise. Needed a car for the weekend to drive to northern Indiana. Was pleased when I filled the gas tank at the end of the trip and only needed 9 gallons for a 350 mile trip. Will rent again from Enterprise. Location only three miles from our home. Thank you!

I rented 15 passengers ford transit van. The van is nice and clean but the night time running light is not bright enough during bad weather. It’s very bad. It was a high roof van and so it catch a lot of wind especially at high speed. So the highest speed i can actually drive was 75 mph.

Worst experience with this branch. They confirmed our car reservation and at the last moment they told us that they don't have any cars. This further led to 1.5 hour waiting. My birthday got ruined totally because I missed my destination place reservation due to their fault.

Love Enterprise..just was not happy with the vehicle .Very uncomfortable..Did not like the stop start. Feature. Wasn't great on gas mileage.And the outside windshield keep fogging up. All the time. Air conditioner wasn't up to par for a 2020 Jeep Compass.
