My experience is very poor, this lady used cheap and unprofessional products on my hair for bleach and color services and completely burnt my hair which is not recovering for a while now. The breakage of locks costed me huge amount of financial loss on hair recovery products until now which even do not help at all. She was also so dishonest with pricing and considerably adding up to primarily agreed service cost pretending miscommunication after damaging my hair so brutally. I will never return this place and do not recommend it to anyone for whom own hair and scalp health matters not mentioning about telling lower price to attract first and dishonestly overcharging after such a poor service when you look ridiculously orange. The only thing that attracts is her sweat way of talking but when you suffer for months to grow your hair breakage on the top of your head when everybody comments on why your hair is like that you really forget that she was such a sweat tongue.

Went in because they were advertising 10% off for car free day. I was told what I wanted would be $35. When I went to pay - they told me that it would be $45 because I also received a blow dry that I did not ask for and did not want. I asked if that included the 10% discount - which it did not. She told me the new price was $42.50 (that is NOT a 10% discount...). They then told me that because it was Sunday I could only pay with cash or use e-transfer. If it had been the original price, I could have paid cash and been free. I then had to waste time creating a new e-transfer contact when they should have told me that those were my only payment options before I even received the service. What a nightmare. Definitely would not go back.

Horrible experience I went to the salon couple days ago for a quick cut ( long layers ) and I left with the most horrible haircut. She did the layers so short on top even tho i specifically said I wanted long layers. My haircut was so outdated and ugly when I left that I had to go to another hairdresser to fix it and ended up having to cut my hair to short bob I went back to to gilda to let her know that I was not happy and she dismissed me saying that: as I have curly hair it is theway its supposed to be. Terrible customer service, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere

Monday August 14th, I looked for a hair dress it was late evening 7.15pm and they stayed open, very nice welcoming I asked if I can have my hair cut, she said no problem, I was very happy to hear it, she take care of my hair and I did explain what cut I would like to have, she did an amazing job, I was very happy, finally I found my hair dresser. It's my second time getting a haircut in Vancouver. My first experience was really bad, but this one was truly different. Parisa is amazing; not only is she a kind and nice person, but she's also exceptionally professional in her job. Besides haircuts, she also does nails, pedicures, and manicures. Just had my first cut with Gilla. Gilla was careful to ask for and follow all my directions while using her skill and experience to give me something that was somehow exactly what I wanted and a bit unexpected at the same time (true artistry!). I am very happy with the cut, and it feels like it captures my personality and lifestyle perfectly. I walked in requesting a bang trim; I walked out with an extremely short, overly thinned out tuft of hair where my face framing bangs used to be. The lady was nice enough, but had absolutely no idea what she was doing. She just proceeded to snip away without even stopping to check the length periodically. I had to emphatically ask her to stop cutting and she still tried to convince me that they needed to be thinner. This hack job will now take months to grow out. Avoid.

Stopped in here because I've had enough of the 10 minute "chop shops" around town. Gilla is located in my work neighborhood, so during these times, I decided to support a local small business. She takes her time and listens to her clients, always checking to see if the cut is progressing to your liking. Price is fair and the result is satisfying. Looking forward to my next visit.

One of the best hair salons I've been to. I recently got my hair Keratin treatment done here by Afsaneh, and I absolutely loved the results of my hair. Gilla does a great job at blending the cut from the ears to the top. Never seen another barber at this price range use a blade from 1 at the ears and blend it to 2.5 towards the top. A quick wash before or after would have been great but doesn’t hamper my rating.
