The staff was very professional, courteous, attentive and made me feel at ease. Ms. Sylvia was a huge support for me and my family. She took care of us from the minute we meet her until the very end of our serves. She went above and beyond to make sure that everything was in order. To finding us a bilingual Priest to making sure that we had copies of the readings. She made sure that we had everything that we needed. We had a beautiful service that went smoothly. She thought of all the little details that I couldn't even remember because I was grieving. There was nothing that she couldn't handle. She called me, e-mailed me, took my calls and made me feel like I was her only client. I highly recommend her and her team to get you through the process of taking care of your loved one. After I submitted my mother’s obituary to Greenwood, I was sent their posting. It was as I sent it to them. The night before the funeral, I had occasion to pull up the obituary on their website. Unlike the copy I’d reviewed, on the website an ad interrupted the text of the obituary. The ad was for the sale of “fingerprint jewelry.” The ad used my mother’s name and hawked jewelry that purported to feature her actual fingerprint. I was stunned by the placement of this crass ad. At no time did Greenwood request or receive permission to use my mother’s name for commercial purposes or to sell any image or imprint of her remains. The removal of the ad after I told the funeral director of my dissatisfaction did not detract from the outrageous liberty taken by Greenwood with my mother’s memory and remains. What a breach of trust.
