Hated everything about it. The funeral was yesterday and I honestly wish we can do it again. They started the service early and had to be told twice by family to please wait as more people was coming in. The pastor skipped 4 people’s name in the obituary. The lady who worked for the funeral home was very rude and unprofessional. When the girlfriend got up to view the body for the last time she insisted that it was too late and that it was the pallbearers turn. Way out of line because why would you ever think that she would not want to view his remains for the last time. Not to mention The funeral time to start was 10am and at 10:30am they were rushing the last viewings so that they can close the casket. Didn’t even give the family an hour’s worth of service and the pastor must’ve was new because he barely said anything. Just imagine this being the last experience with your child. Absolutely horrible! I’m sorry but that was really awful.

This review is quite late but it has been on my heart to do for quite some time. In September 2014, our family lost our matriarch and I was a beneficiary of the standard of excellence with which Boyd operates. I had just become a minister and my grandma's service was my first funeral, my nervousness was greatly diminished with the help of the lovely team of funeral directors. The Boyd Family lived up to their name and treated me like a member of their family from the moment my family and I walked into their beautiful property for the service, until the last amen was spoken. Not to sound cliche, but my grandmother looked like she was sleeping; her make-up was soft and gentle, nails immaculate, just everything was on point. The whole experience, including the dove release in the parking lot made such a great impression on me. I fully recommend this funeral home to anyone in need kind and compassionate service.

I want to take this opportunity, to thank the Boyd funeral home which cared for my mother (Carol Dean Stewart) My sister , brother and I were pleasantly please how they showed so much compassion for my mothers remains as well as listening and allowing us to be heard in our Time of grieving. My brother's funeral service was held at Boyd funeral home less than two weeks ago. I spoke wifh the funeral director about by wishes regarding my brother which wasn't addressed. I felt that the Funeral Director and staff got involved with family problems that didn' t concerned them which is unprofessional.
