Decided to go hiking, was a busy day here (labor day) and I spoke with a park ranger on where to go and park seeing it was my first time here. walking back to my truck after hiking 3 hours here it is coming at me on the back of a tow truck! I did not park anywhere no one else was or blocking traffic plus was directed by a park ranger! Well $200 to get my truck from the tow truck and was specifically told everyone else got tickets but you got towed because you had out of state plates, Well guess what I have lived here in Tennessee for a year and half and pay taxes here. A $200 towing bill at a state park are you kidding me? I have been to 3 different state parks here in Tennessee and never had a problem. Do not go here, they are obviously Money hungry to make money off of you at a state park we pay for with our taxes! Also what would I have done if I didn't see the tow truck leaving the park?! My wallet and phone are in the truck?! I also had two women, a child and my dogs with us. This park should be ashamed! Fun Goers beware and go elsewhere!
The hike to the narrows was fairly easy with some step areas. We came with the intention of swimming as we saw online but when we arrived we noticed a new large sign that says no swimming. Not knowing the reason behind it we played it safe and didn't swim although we did walk through the water up to our ankles. There isn't much parking either. We also went to the hidden lake which the hike was moderate and long considering it feeling like 100 degrees out. Again thought maybe we could swim but when we got there decided not too. There were some neat old structures on the trail we were excited to explore too. Maybe a one time visit and you're done kind of deal for both areas. Not much bringing you back unless you want to canoe the harpeth.
This has to be the smallest state park I've ever seen. Its a tiny sliver just off the Highway 100 near Nashville. But is it at least worth it? Not that either. No. Its small, craggy, ill-kept. The Harpeth River is no more than a shallow stream. Not even a decent hiking trail. I hope it at least protects some sort of flora and fauna!
Nice little place to stop and eat a lunch and enjoy the scenery. And dont let the word park fool you into thinking playground for kids. There isn't one. Loved the board walk right down to rhe river front to pur canoes and other floatables in the water.
Very small state park with nothing more than a picnic table and a port a john when a sign attached appropriately saying use at your own discretion. No thanks. If you miss the turn, keep going, there's nothing to see here.
Nice small scenic river access park. Fun to walk in the river. It's not that deep. Popular for kayaks and canoes. No trails, 3 picnic tables, a portable restroom.
I really enjoyed being here and spending time with my family. Great time, pictures, and enjoying the simple things in life with those I love.
Very nice place to stop by and visit. you can walk down under the bridge and enjoy the rapid water and nice vibes
It's not a big park... Access to the river and two bench ... good for a small picnic....
Great river access. Lots of parking and a small grassy area for play or picinic.
Great easy float!! Beautiful and relaxing!! Highly recommend it!!
Not the easiest turn-off, it is a small park with river access.
Great place to drop canoes off and on a nice day go for a dip
Easy river access for canoes, kayaks or general riverside fun
Great place for hiking, biking and communing with nature.
My vehicle got locked in, closes at 4:30 k not 7pm.

Not much better way to spend a summer day.
