An absolute must for breakfast if you're in Dublin! The experience here was great. From the very beginning the staff was very welcoming and friendly, great atmosphere, you could smell fresh coffee at the entrance. Went there with a group of 8, the place is not big and we had no reservation, so we gratefully accepted to be seated separately. 10 mins later the staff moved us to a table for the whole group. So really appreciated their attention to detail and flexibility. Food was as great as their staff! Best Irish breakfast in Dublin! I tried different Irish breakfast versions during my time at Dublin and this was hands down the very best. Fresh ingredients for a delicious homemade, farm-to-table Irish breakfast. I just wish the beans came included with the breakfast but it's great that you can order them as a side (generous portion of beans, by the way). Coffee was also perfect! Our group had cappuccinos, espressos, Irish coffees (of course, as well as a few Guinness) and they were all praising their coffees. I will definitely come back!

I have been coming to this place on and off every week for past couple of months. This place is special, as I can always find a cosy corner to finish my books or catch up on side projects. This place is beautiful and is very much handled with care by its staff. I love the food here and the desserts are to die for. For the wintertime, I cannot recommend their hot chocolate enough. It is the best hot chocolate ever. Big thanks to Vera who is a part of the staff here, for her friendly service and the way she takes care of everyone and everything, it is just perfect. Her laughter fills up the place with beautiful energy. Its my absolute favourite place to be in whole Dublin and I have introduced and suggested this place to so many friends. Its a comfortable place for families, friends, coffee date or even some alone time. If you are visiting Dublin or if you are living here, this place is a must try and may be add it to your list of cosy cafes. Thanks to their whole staff for being so awesome.♥️

Cute little place, great service and atmosphere. The cakes looked PHENOMENAL! Unfortunately the avocado toast I had was... very subpar For starters, the menu didn't specify how the eggs were prepared. I admit I usually expect poached eggs on avocado toast, which is not what the menu said and it's my fault for not asking, but the eggs I got on that toast weren't even scrambled, they were just... messy. You could see the brown marks from the pan. No way this is a scrambled egg, it looked more like a failed omelette. There wasn't NEARLY enough avocado. The bread was advertised as sourdough but it honestly had the bland texture of toast. I have seriously made better avocado toast with the 3€ loaf from Tesco. Additionally the topping was just missing something in terms of flavor - maybe some chilli or some more salt or some spring onion would've helped? I think there was also a little bit of maple syrup drizzled on it which didn't make sense because there wasn't anything salty and savory to counterbalance (like bacon). I'll be back to try the cakes for sure!

I had read great reviews so decided to try Joy Of Cha for breakfast last week while my mom and I were visiting Dublin. I can’t say enough about the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the incredible service. It was, hands-down, my favorite place that we ate. We loved it so much we had three out of our six breakfasts in Dublin there. My mom loved the scones and I loved the avocado toast with eggs. Their lattes are wonderful too! The staff were incredibly welcoming, and it was the best service that we received a Dublin. Highly recommend going if you are in the area!

Came in for a warm morning brunch and partially delivered what we were looking for. It’s a small, crowds establishment that gets busy during brunch hour but servers managed to provide decent service. Ordered the scones which I adore. It had a crispy shell and soft texture. The craft breakfast was on point with crispy fried egg but we were disappointed by the bagel as it was not toasted and tad too moist perhaps from the cheese. Overall I would recommend but you can avoid the bagel.

The nice food doesn't compensate the bad employees. Even though it's quite expensive for the portions they serve, me and my wife went a couple of times for the great bread, but we were being treated worse and worse. The employees clearly choose customers who order more food. There's this employee who is extremely rude clearly treat us differently from others and the last time even a table was denied by this employee. We just felt tottaly putted on the side. I can't understand this type of behavior. Just unacceptable.

The best word to describe my experience at Joy of Cha is "Mediocre". The food took an hour and a half to arrive and ended up bland and extremely underwhelming. The service was okay, again, mediocre at best. People who were seated 10 minutes after us had their order taken first and recieved their food before we did. Not a deal breaker, but certainly leaves a bad taste. Overall, not something Id recommend.

We've been in this coffee shop a few times and it was ok until this today where we got served by a girl with an awful attitude, someone that should not be in customer service. Also the food we order was undercooked and the coffees we asked extra hot, were not. We mentioned the girl about the coffees and the food but she did nothing to make it up for us just bad attitude. This is the last time for us going there.

They were very accommodating with my food selectivity, keeping the salsa on the side.
Nice place but service needs improvement. I was expecting more tea selection but they mostly had regular and just some herbal tea. They got the items on the table one by one instead of all together. Generally they should bring the tea first and then the cakes. Also, regular tea was served without putting nor milk nor sugar on the table, I had to ask.... Nothing personal but yano needs some improvement. Cakes were very nice though

Stopped in here for breakfast and a cappuccino. As a Dubliner I have to say the prices here are fantastic value compared to other places in Dublin and ESPECIALLY in Temple Bar. Took about 20 mins for my breakfast to be made (was a bit busy at the time) but it was well worth the wait. Atmosphere very cosy and chill as well. Would highly recommend visiting this hidden gem in Temple Bar.

Joy of Cha came highly recommended by locals and tourists alike and this place did not disappoint! It’s voted as the #1 breakfast place in Dublin for a reason. Very happy we were able to get a table here as it’s always busy. Just a heads up it’s a tight fit in here but well worth it! The Irish breakfast and the bacon tart and hot chocolate/white chocolate was delicious. Also…the scone! Wow! We can’t wait to come back to Dublin so I can eat here again. Absolutely phenomenal!
This place in temple bar area, is decorated beautifully. The lovely baristas were very friendly. Fast service with a smile. The cappuccino was one of the best I have ever had!! The apple cherry cake warmed up with powdered sugar on top, was spectacular. I highly reccemend it!

Oh man, the tarts of this place... After walking around the area trying to find a place for brunch, I found Joy of Chá and what a joy let me tell you. A very cozy place served by the owners where you can try tarts of several kind. The one with chorizo is my favourite, but you should also try the one with spinach and feta. Also, the cranberries cake is delicious. The only thing I could say is that it was hard to find a sit, and I get why.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even came to our table to ask if I was vegan because I'd ordered a vegetarian breakfast without eggs, and they wanted to make sure not to put butter on my toast in case I was vegan, which I really appreciated! The place is cosy and has a great atmosphere, and the food was good, filling, and plated nicely. The menu could have a bit wider range of options - for example a vegan breakfast.
A small place but super cozy, with kind and friendly staff. I’ve been there a few time to have breakfast I tried the pancakes, the salmon avocado toast and the savoury croissant, everything was delicious. Not to mention their fantastics hot chocolate! I will come back for sure

I am just visiting Dublin and I stumbled across this JEM. This is the absolute cutest place. I had literally the best quiche of my life. All my friends food was also amazing. They also have a great tea selection and I went for the jasmine tea with honey. It was to die for. The staff was super friendly and the place just has a really chill atmosphere. If you see this you would be silly not to go.
Food: 5/5 the bacon and cheese try, mushroom tart, and pumpkin quiche were delicious! Perfectly balanced and tasted amazing. The ginger coffee has a slight kick and mellows out with the crema. Environment: 4/5 nice a cozy place. Might be difficult to get a table, but if you do it’s really nice. Service: 5/5 staff was attentive and made sure we had everything that we could possible need.
A place to enjoy brunch, tea, deserts, without ‘instagramers’ vibe, instead is a bit ‘retro’, and cozy. Food remind me grandmother sweets, not focused on how things look like but how it tasty liked. I’m not saying it’s doesn’t not look good, but it just look occasional, with a professionalism touch of course. Well served portions, and some customer service latin vibes and sympathy.
Staff was very friendly, drinks arrived quickly but the food took a bit longer. It was worth the waiting, though. The bagel was beautifully cooked, the bacon was crispy and the eggs had the yolk runny, which is awesome. The traditional Irish breakfast was also well-cooked and made with very good ingredients. Would come here again because all of these items were fair-priced.
I loved this place but choose badly and a slice of profiterole cake made me feel I was suffering sugar poisoning. A matter of taste however. Lovely staff, very cool atmosphere and all the food looked delicious.

I can’t accept being treated so badly when I’m going to have a morning meal… the staff is so unable because aren’t supervised! Particularly one girl… she’s so rude and disrespectful with clients … with bad face, inappropriate behaviour and completely racist with people that aren’t latins! Disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic breakfast and lunch place. A hidden gem that was so cosy and comfortable after a long morning of traveling. The service was also exceptional from our waitress Silvana. Highly recommend and will come back to again on this trip. Seating was slightly limited so you might share with others at a table, but worth it!

It has been my favourite cozy cafe since I moved to Dublin in 2020, great and special food with very reasonable prices. Warm and artistic atmosphere with all kinds of decent original tea(not tea bags), it is just very relaxing to get a pot of tea in a rainy day, reading or chatting with friends. It honestly made my day.

The food is ok, but the bar employees do not deliver a great experience in general. I specifically asked for a portion of the cheese cake with macaroons and they did not include the macaroons. My friend asked for sweetener and they only had sugar. I feel they could have been more attentive and customer centric.
Stopped here for cakes and Irish Coffee's when in Dublin's Temple Bar area. Friendly staff, fabulous homemade cakes (Raspberry Crumble Cake was divine) and a great decor and ambience. Toilet available. Some outside seating but only a couple of small tables for two.

Best breakfast we've had in Dublin. Great coffee. Large portions. Fantastic waiter, so good and attentive in fact that when he heard my wife drop her knife, he brought a new one without prompting. He couldn't see it from where he stood, but heard it and did his job flawlessly. Bravo.
Good food with good price. Really enjoyed the Baileys coffee and tomato cheese croissant. Would recommend the croissant. Also the ginseng coffee was quite interesting. You can surely give a shot. Lovely vibe with a spanish decor. Based near temple bar. Good location and lovely staff.
It was a random visit at joy of cha while exploring the town. We went in wet morning hours and only indoor seating was available. I tried spinach and feta wrap and a chocolate pastry. Both the things were awesome. I would love to go there again and have the spinach and feta wrap

Coffee was really bad and burned. Small cup of coffee is 3.70 euro. The only beautiful thing is its atmosphere. It looks like old and pretty covered.
Beautiful brekkie, reasonably priced, beautiful and friendly service! Cosy and inviting restaurant. Highly recommend!!! Yummy, yummy yummy!
