Worst customer service experience ever. I bought a couch with a promise it would be delivered to my apartment on July 2, and after having cancelled my family trip for the long weekend as I was expecting a delivery, I thought of doing my due diligence and confirm the delivery with them on Thursday evening, I was told that they did not have my couch in stock, and the representative (Sean C) had forgotten to book it for me. I asked to speak to the manager (took them 30 minutes to find one as he was busy with other customers !!!!!) I was finally able to speak with the sales manager Jack, who apologized and promised me that he would personally handle my file and assured me that the delivery would take place on July 9(another weekend wasted), I got the email notification to track my delivery, and decided to stay home between 11:15 to 3:30, only to find out at 1:30 that the delivery was not happening AGAIN !!!! (Started to get an error message on the tracking website), called Leons and got the same agent on the phone who started to repeat the same story ; oh sir, your couch is not in stock, but I can book it for you. At this point, I had had it, asked to speak to a manager (again, busy with customers) took me again 30 minutes get a hold of someone, and I started to deal with a whole new person (Maria) to whom I had to re-explain the entire situation. She said she needs time to look into it and call me back …… I’m still waiting,,, typing this while am waiting for her call back. I ADVISE AGAINST DOING BUSINESS WITH LEON’S ************** Update Maria ended up handling the situation in a very professional manner. She followed up personally on my order, and made sure my couch got delivered to my place at a time of my convenience (mid-week), She also offered me $500 refund on my order. (still waiting on it, but I believe in her)

Our salesman Kevin B asked us to leave a review. I wanted to wait a little bit to see how the after sale portion went. Purchase was made 07 June 2022. In store Kevin respected our request to just let us look around and we would let him know when/if we needed help. We found what we were looking for and made the purchase. After selling us the extended warranty on the piece I was suprised to see there was nothing in our package to show what was covered or included in our coverage. When I inquired I was told to trust him..its covered. Seeing as sales people come and go I wasnt incredibly comfortable with the answer. Next we were told that he would call us within a few days to be sure we were happy and that all was going well. We were also told that the leather cleaner/ Warranty rep would call us within a few days to schedule a time to come to apply the protectant. We still have not heard from either one of them. Disappointing for the money we spent. So..the response from the GM through Google was for ME to call HER. I dont think when the GM has access to the date of purchase, our address, phone numbers and email that I should have to reach out to HER to get proper service. By the way..its a week later, still no call from Warranty rep to set up appointment. Millions of dollars spent every year on advertising but missed the boat again on BASIC customer service. Further disappointment quite honestly. Last purchase from Leons..lowered rating to 1 star.

Their salesperson have a tendency to avoid brown skin people or may be people who don’t look rich enough. My husband and I went there the first time and bought a couch. When I was looking for a salesperson no one was coming to our aid for finalising the deal. However, after A long time we managed to have a salesperson. I could see 4/5 salesperson discussing who should come here. All of them were reluctant. I thought may be it’s just that time. May be this isn’t always the scenario. After 5 month of our sofa purchase we went there today to buy a dining table set. Liked a table of $1200. I had some questions regarding the table and saw two salesperson standing near and talking to each other, so thought of asking them. Again both of them seemed reluctant and finally one of them came and answered questions. My husband and I are a young couple and we don’t look like we have a lot of money. And we’re brown. I really think it has something to do with that. Because they are with other customers who look well off and their behaviour with them is much better. Anyways, although I really liked the table, I got out of the store. I’m not paying a company for being reluctant to sell me stuff. It’s their loss not mine. I liked a table in Dufresne. If the measurements add up with my space, I will buy it. But not paying a single penny to Leons. If there was a negative review possible I would have given that.

I bought couch from Leon’s herons east last month, after that I changed the mind and canceled the order before my deliver it to me and they did cancellation for me. But somehow I don’t know they don’t cancel my order from their system. When I realize that again I told them thats okay and forgive them and asked for deliver my couch before I headed out out from country but they didn’t deliver. After I get back from my home country I visit the store to rearrange my delivery my couch when I explain everything that lady she was mean and rude to me, somehow I just control my eagerness and just ignored her rude and mean behaviour. Than I needed one floor carpet and asked the sales person his name is sean he was rude too I just asked him recommendations for good carpet he seems like don’t want sale. He told me it’s just carpet hey boy I am spending my money. What you think Leon’s is only furniture store in Ottawa. Again I had bad experience at pickup door too, one gentle man told me go inside and pickup and I went inside and one guy came to me with full of food in his mouth and mean to me why you came inside without my permission. Wow what ridiculous service. Never want buy anything again and again. I don’t want recommend at all, go where you get worth your money lol. By the way Sean was who sales man for my couch too.

We had a very weird experience. We managed to walk the whole store without anyone welcoming us which is fine but when we found something we liked it did take a moment to get their attention. That's fine. We wanted a table in a different colour and the sales lady said "yes we have it here" and pointed to another one. We quickly said no that table is different. Clearly a different model. Didn't have a lift top feature or glass accents. But she insisted its the same and claimed it also had the same drawer. We had to be firm and say no we want the exact model in a different color to which she quickly said no we don't have that as if we're bothering her. We thought maybe she is just a special case so we then walked away and tried to ask someone else. When we did, the first lady noticed and tried to stop the second lady from answering our questions. Note, second lady also seemed less than interested in helping us and shut us down very quickly again. A good sales person would encourage us to look at other similar products or atleast keep the conversation going. It was weird and we won't be back to spend our money here. The sales persons here look very bored and not interested in making commission.

Don’t buy from Leon’s . They never keep their promises. I bought a set of couches 4 months ago and have still not received the right one yet. We supposed to receive our couches in 2 weeks according to our sales person. But they came in 3 weeks when we received them the love seat had some stains on it we told them to come and replace it . In their policy if you are not happy for any reason with in 72 hours you can exchange or return. We wanted to return that love seat because of stain and was small for our space and replace with a sofa . They supposed to bring it with in 2 weeks and we 250 dollars extra in stead of $16 different in prices but still not received. 2 times they called us said we are delivering tomorrow your sofa but both times the drivers called us and said the sofa is very dirty you won’t accept. I called them many times to talk to a manager but they didn’t let me and said he will call you but I haven’t heard from them yet and not received my sofa yet. It has been 4 months

Warning. Do not buy from them!! No refunds for damaged items! I have purchased thousands from them, almost all my furniture is from there, have been buying from them for years. Recently I purchased a big order from them waited months and months for a partially delivery that I received damaged. I called immediately to have it replaced or repaired, no one ever got back to me. Finally I got someone to agree to replacement but they have no idea when I will receive placement it could be months even a year. No refunds allowed what so ever btw. Even if item is damaged. I find this extremely unfair that they sell you items and have no idea of delivery date and will not offer refunds if customer is fed up of waiting. I will never ever buy from leons again. I only ever bought from them due to past satisfactory service from them but this has left such a bad taste that I will never step foot there again. UPDATE I called Maria GM and have not heard back yet and my order is still not in.

Very disappointed in the delivery service. My grandmother ordered a mattress and realized it wasn’t for her, luckily she had 1 year to exchange so she did after 3 weeks. She also ordered an adjustable bed when exchanging the mattress, she was told from the sales man that the adjustable bed would be fully set up and the delivery men would show her how to work it. They arrived at her house and begun setting up the mattress (there is 3 height settings) she told them it was a hit too high they told her it’s not their fault she sat in the kitchen while they assembled the bed… then when asked if they could show her how the adjustable bed works they told her they had not set up the mechanics “it’s not their job”. She then asked if they could take the plastic with them from the mattress they said no we’ll leave it here because you’ll probably just end up returning this one as well. Needless to say I am shocked at the way the delivery men treated my grandmother!

Do not buy from here - we got our couch in April 2023. Little by little we noticed the seams were coming slightly apart, and it got worse and worse as time went on. The couch was not being misused or abused, just used as a regular couch. We contacted the store and were told the manufacturer says it's from wear and tear and they would do nothing about it. Wear and tear this bad after six months?! The only thing the store offered was $500 off should we wish to buy another sofa from them, however since it's only been six months since we made this purchase, we are still making payments on the current, falling apart, terrible couch. And because they are unwilling to take accountability or offer any other solutions, we will not be returning to buy ANOTHER sofa at $500 off. Buyer beware with Leon's. If you end up with a couch like ours, it's too bad, you're stuck with it and the ongoing payments. What a terrible experience.

Horrible location, would NEVER recommend. I asked to work with a specific salesperson, Pam, because I had come in before to look around and she was great and answered all my questions. Very sweet, great salesperson! She was busy when I stopped in and I was told to wait. No problem. Due to the fact that I asked to work with someone specific though, I guess it’s a red flag there or something because the rest of the staff completely ignored me or were complete assh*les. They had me wait around for almost 2 HOURS for this staff member. Only 1 person(Kevin - thank you) actually paged her and tried to help only later to find out the GENERAL MANAGER — one who assured me a couple times it wouldn’t be much longer and that the she would be with me shortly— sent her home early. Are you kidding me?! I would recommend going out of your way and finding another location to visit, unless sh*tty service is your kind of thing.

I was shopping around at Leon’s looking for a few pieces of furniture for my new apartment. An employee by the name of Rojeen approached me asking about my day and what I was shopping for. She processed to walk me through all the necessary items I would need and discussed the planning within the rooms and what accessories such as tables and chairs would look nice. She was so informative and was truly a life saver. I’ve visited multiple times since just to have her input on new items I should add around my apartment. Truly felt like someone who cherished their job and actually cared about the customer service she would provide rather then just focusing on sales as i’ve previously experienced at other shops. She really made my shopping experience amazing and is the reason furniture shopping felt like a hobby rather then a job I needed to complete. Cant wait to stop by again and have an associate like Rojeen.

My son and I were mislead by the Sales Rep, Brian V, on the availability and delivery of a bedroom set I purchased in March 2023 for my son’s birthday. > Before committing to the purchase of $4,626, I asked the Brian, the Sales Rep., if the marchandise my son wanted was all available - He confirmed it was and would be delivered on Saturday April 8. > When my son’s bedroom set was not delivered as per the agreed date of April 8th, I contacted Lions on the next business day (the 11th). > Brian, Sales Rep, said the delivery date was in August in attempting to give us a tentative delivery date in June. > My invoice states April 10th. Brian mentioned it was a default date and kept referring to August! > After getting the runaround with no concrete date for the delivery, my son asked if we could buy his birthday gift somewhere else — I agreed. > I called back Leon’s to cancel our purchase order.

For the first time, I really enjoyed furniture shopping. I would like to thank the management for finally hiring quality sales people. When I walked through the doors, what I think was a new sales person ran across the floor to greet me and asked me if I needed help. In my head I thought maybe business was slow and this was the beginning of her shift. I was totally wrong, this young lady knew her stuff! Rojeen (Sales person) asked and answered all my questions. Lead me to a few options that fit my criteria. No pressure and allowed me to take my time to make the decision that was right for me and my pocketbook. Through the whole process she made sure that I was comfortable with my decision and that I would receive the product that I chose on the date that was convenient for me. Whatever you’re doing Leon’s keep on doing it and hire the right people. Thank you so much Rejeen!

I had just moved into my own apartment, and wanted to get a couch that would last and is comfortable. I had no idea what it was that I wanted, and wanted to take the time to look around and try out different types without being influenced by a sales person. (I had gone to other furniture places right before and the sales people were so pushy I had to walk out as I ended up becoming overwhelmed and almost gave up on my search for the day). Then I decided to try Leon's at Heron Rd. There was a very nice lady named Pam who worked there and gave me the space I needed, and was also available when I had any questions/concerns. She was very helpful and was never pushy. I ended up getting a couch that I love and a great price for it as well!! I highly recommend Leon's and the sales representative Pam!! I will definitely go back for more furniture purchases. :)

I purchased a set of queen mattress and box spring. I have to say that I am very disappointed with Leon's after-sales and delivery service. First they delivered a damaged box-spring, (not sure if it was torn in the warehouse or during delivery). Leon's client service agreed to replace it. 3 weeks later, Leon's delivered a replacement Box-spring which didn't come within the time frame they told me. This one was also torn, and had stains.(???). This time Leon's offered me $30 off , if I would just accept it..as is. A month + 1/2 later, I am now wasting a 3rd day waiting for delivery of what I hope will be a new, intact, undamaged, and unsoiled box-spring.... At this point, I would not recommend Leon's to any of my friends. !!! (sad but true..!)

Very disappointed in the customer service here. We came in promptly at open for a special event and ready to buy a new bedframe after looking at several options online. We got a brief hello upon entering the store. 20 min later after walking around looking at multiple options trying them and deciding if we would like to move forward we wait another 5 standing near the one we like. Not a single associate bothers with us. Never have I been treated this way in a furniture store. Our living room was from Dufresne and I guess and we are driving straight there now to look at their beds and get treated a heck of a lot kinder. Very disappointed planned our morning around coming to your store. We will never be stepping foot in another leons.

I live in pembroke so no reading some older comments not given a friggin mug for the 5 stars ...that aside unsure if this site is the one at the Ottawa warehouse if it is i would really like to thank the girl named sadie she was beyond pleasant and responded immediately to a concern I had so thank you, there employee ,who fixes issues or complaints showed up very next day and called immediately after I spoke with sadie this man John deserves a congratulations as well for his kindness best best best employee myself or my aunt Trisha ever met ,she actually compared to him as if he was a old friend just stopping by thank you Leons warehouse Ottawa Ontario Canada your highly recommended in my book,

Had a great experience the other day. We walked in just to see what's available. The store is huge and has great selection. We talked to a salesman Kevin Barnaby. He helped us to find a perfect couch that fit all of our size requirements and answered all of our questions regarding warranty and delivery. It was delivered in just one week, we got luck and they had one in Ontario warehouse. Then we found a very nice 2 seater recliner in mark up and Kevin was able to get us even greater discount on it, even gave us tips on where to find movers to get it to our home. Overall had a great experience and really enjoy both items we have purchased at Leon's. Thank you Kevin!

I am in Toronto and wanted to order some items for my son who lives in Ottawa. I was very happy to order several items over the phone by speaking to Kevin Barnaby at the Heron Rd location. He was a breath of fresh air to deal with and was super helpful. It didn't matter the amount of times I called him to ask (many) questions, he was always willing to answer them with a jovial disposition. My items are scheduled to arrive on April 01 and I'm very excited that most of the pieces I choose were in stock. I absolutely would recommend Kevin for his exceptional customer service. I've dealt with many sales people and he is ranked at the very top. Thank You Kevin!!!

Awful customer service. Misleading information. Bought a sectional sofa - the website indicated it was in stock. Once my payment went through, I received an email stating the item was back ordered. I received a phone call from Leon’s stating the back order was until November. The customer service rep I spoke to was unhelpful, rude, and impatient. She was supposed to call me back with similar options and she never did. I canceled my order and went with a similar and much cheaper model of the sofa with The Brick. At the price we pay for furniture, the least this store and its employees could do is offer adequate customer service.

Received a heavily damaged dishwasher today, 48 days after ordering. Customer care won't send a truck to pick it up for another week! Until it's convenient for them of course. The truck was probably still out making deliveries when I called due to the damage. I live less than a kilometre from the store, just come and get it. The replacement will be another estimated 8 weeks of waiting. I had to carry it down to the garage myself to get it out of my kitchen. This was not a good experience for a new home owner. I'll be exploring other furniture and appliance options next time instead of trying to support the nearest shop.

What a joke - I wish I had read some comments before buying my mattress from there. The sale was made in the fact that we had 200 nights warranty. Of course and not surprisingly, none of the terms and conditions were disclosed by Sean (the #1 salesperson as described by the store manager Maria) so we ended up with a mattress we hated that we could not even return. Management could not care any less and of course this won't change a thing - hoping more awareness exists and less people visit so that they go out of business as they definitely do not deserve to be in business treating customers the way we were treated.

I visited Leon's with a friend to purchase a new mattress. Having not looked at any for many years it seemed like an intimidating task but the salesman, Kevin Barnaby, soon explained the features and warranties of the many mattresses on the floor. When I said that I had to prop myself up with extra pillows each night, due to reflux, he showed me an adjustable power base that will be wonderful for me. I will be able to do away with some of my meds. Kevin Barnaby made my shopping into a pleasant afternoon, fulfilling all my needs and then some. He was quiet and not pushy and answered al my questions. Thank you Kevin!

I bought a fridge from Leon's and added their extended warranty. The compressor stopped working after 1 year. Leon's informed that I need call King and States for the extended warranty. They sent a technician 2 days after just to check the issue. He told me to call back King and States so they could place an order for the parts. It has been 12 days so far and my fridge isn't fixed yet. I have been telling them I can't wait any longer as I have a newborn and toddler. !!!! This is my first and last time buying an appliance from Leon's. Next time, I buy from a more reputable place with better warranty service!!!!!

The Heron Road Location Maria is an AMAZING leader and taught me so much as a young person getting into the work force. I still use many of the skills and advise that she taught me in my current career as a teacher. The designer Kim, makes absolutely beautiful displays. She puts her heart and soul into each and every project. Finally, working for this organization when I was in University was perfect! They gave me the hours I needed and were very supportive of my post secondary education. I always look back at my time working at Leon's and absolutely loved it!

Walked into Leon's, not expecting much as COVID has slowed down a lot of productions. Ashley had came out to help me and I was looking for a couch. I wanted a left facing sectional but they didn't have a left facing one that I wanted, only a right. I was a little bummed out, but Ashley mentioned that they had a similar couch in the left facing sectional. She showed me that one and hooked me up with a good deal. I was very pleased at the customer service and how friendly this location was. Definitely coming back to purchase another one for my basement!

4 months delay ! I am incredibly disappointed with my experience with Leon's Furniture and their delivery service. The delivery of my order was significantly delayed, causing inconvenience and frustration. The lack of proactive communication and inconsistent updates added to the frustration. The delay had a significant impact on my schedule, and the customer service I received did not meet my expectations. I hope Leon's Furniture takes this feedback seriously and works to improve their customer service and communication regarding delivery delays.

After ordering a brand new fridge (final sale) on July 17, I received a damaged second-hand product from Leon's at Heron on October 1 (76 days later). The product was smaller than advertised and had dried residue on the inside shelves. Spoke with the store manager who disputes their return policy for damaged products. According to their records it is brand new straight from the warehouse.... See the attached pictures and save yourself the trouble of receiving this worthless customer service. I just purchased a sectional I've had my eye on for over a year, I'm so excited! Kevin was great, got me the delivery date that worked for me. Hopefully it'll come in on that date, we've got fam coming in to town for Christmas! Edit: It came! There was a bit of a hiccup on delivery day but the delivery guys stepped up and got it to me on the original delivery date! I absolutely love this sectional!! I highly recommend Leon's, they went well beyond expectations thank you Leon's for helping to make our Christmas wonderful ♥️

One of the greatest customer service experience i’ve ever received. I came in looking for an oven. The lady helping me, Nalan was just the best, right when she introduced herself she complimented my jacket, which made my day. She was also very friendly and really knows her stuff. She had a smile on the whole and answered every question I had. The oven I wanted was out of my budget and she helped me find other ones within my budget but I really wanted that one. I recommend everyone asks for Nalan when visiting Leon’s!

Great service, quick delivery, and COMFY mattress! Recently purchased a new king size mattress to upgrade my mattress I bought at this same store about 5 years ago (which I had a wonderful experience purchasing). The sales staff were knowledgeable in helping me to find the perfect fit based on my description and preference from my old mattress; and they were able to deliver the mattress right to my bedroom within 6 days. All around it was a seamless experience and I will continue to bring my business here!

I ran into a friendly employee a couple weeks ago and I had to get his name. Ramiz provided awesome service and really made me feel welcomed and valued as a customer. He made sure I got exactly what I was looking for, and honestly until right now, I do not regret my purchase. He's a really great help for such a huge store, and I'm sure his managers grateful to have somebody like him assisting their customers.

While this place has great furniture and options, the salespeople dont seem like they want to sell. I went there with cash to get a table and a freezer but was met with a sales team that was very unwelcoming. All i was asking for was advice and comparison but that was too much for them, given the store was empty anyways. They all need retraining or Leons needs to look into hiring better staff. Ended up buying the exact same table from their competitor. I will never be going back!

experience from 2019 about the delivery guys. I told the guy with the mustache that he's a bit early and he's gonna have to wait a bit for the owner of the house and I said it in the most simple way that could possibly be said but somehow what I said didn't fully reach the delivery guys brain and he looked confused as could be when I said it. that experience alone is annoying to think about to this day that's why leon's gets 1 star for not hiring competent delivery men.

We are so disappointed by the service. We ordered the entire furniture and waited for around 4 months for it to arrive. Things arrived in bits and pieces and many items were damaged. Now the replacement takes another 3 months. While placing the order they assure everything arriving on time and in good shape. Our dresser was damaged in the delivery truck itself. Side table had a crack and dining table was chipped off. I would never want to buy from Leons again.

Bought a bedroom set with help from Sean the other day and he was attentive, helpful, patient with a million questions I had about the top two choices I was deciding between. Excellent service and both of the products I was interested in were in stock so no super crazy long lead times on a back-ordered item. I have some other furniture I need to look at getting in the coming months and I'll absolutely be going back to them.

Prices are bad, wait time is too long. After 3 weeks waiting for a small couch (on sale) they had no delivery date. Went to a surplus store and found a better one for $1000 less, and was in stock. I'll never be back to leons. Also I just noticed that they did a hard credit check, even though I asked and she said they don't, plus I owe money on a flexiti account even after cancelling. This place is a total scam.

I purchased a couch from Leon’s - Ottawa East. The sales representative, Sandra, was amazing! She was very attentive. We are a young couple who just bought our first big furniture purchase together. She clearly explained all of the rules and regulations for the warranty, helped us finance and had it shipped to us within a week! Great saleswoman and an overall fantastic person. The couch is pretty nice too

Worst service after the sale. On the first day, they explained everything very nicely, but after the purchase, they made you a football and referred you from one person to another and even to the third party to ask for the services we paid Leon for that services. Never pay extra in the name of cleaning or maintenance or whatever they call it. You will never get the service for which you paid in advance.

Update general manager resolved and offered to me a free installation. From ⭐ to ⭐⭐⭐ The worst furniture store in Ottawa.After waiting 8 months my furniture and been told they'll install it and even confirmed a day before the delivery now when they delivered it they told to me we don't install furniture and I have to pay $240 for installation by the delivery guys.

The sales person Kevin was very professional and courtious, helping to locate the furniture and give a delivery date, however only part of the furniture had arrived and we are probably looking at a further two weeks. He provided a copy of my invoice to me and assured me if the furniture did not arrive I would get a refund.
