Wow. Where do I start ? We called Maximus Moving on Monday afternoon looking for a move the next day and Joseph answered the phone. He had remembered the prior phone call we had made to him so he seemed more than willing to move our items. When we spoke to him a few weeks prior, he had told us what the travel fees were and said that he would honor them. Joseph said he would honor the rate we had spoken about. Well that changed at the end of the move. More later. Joseph came 90 minutes late the next day. He assessed the situation and started to wrap, and load the furniture. During the process of wrapping the furniture and loading it onto his truck, he complained that it’s Texas law that he can’t work more than eight hours! We had only been five hours in at that point. Jospeh complained throughout the move, said that he was told everything was “packed.” When we spoke to him on Monday we told him most everything was packed. However, being a moving company and knowing we were in the process of moving he did not bring any tape or boxes. When we asked he blamed us for telling him we did not tell him to bring boxes and tape. It clearly showed this was not a reputable moving company at all. It was run by 2 men who wait by the phone for a customer to call. He did not have any moving supplies on his truck. Nor was it a company truck. Maximus Moving was A COMPLETE JOKE. Maximus Moving claims to have five star reviews — are you serious? The way Jospeh ran the business was completely unprofessional on every level. Next at 2 p.m. Jospeh told us that he wanted to go home and complained so much that he went directly into his truck and sat there! What? He told us he wanted to come back the next day! How is this possible after Maximus Moving loaded all of our furniture and items onto the truck and now wants to leave? He argued nonstop. We asked him why he didn't communicate this earlier or even the day before? Who in the their right mind would let a mover leave with their furniture and boxes? This was such a disappointment because we still had to get to our next destination. Wildly unpredictable and unprofessional. He did not abide by what he said he would do, which is load and unload the same day. It was a very unexpected move. Joseph at Maximus Moving was the worst to deal with. Entire move was a MESS. After he and his friend finally got into the truck to get to the destination we both stopped at the gas station. He came to our car and said very rudely “ you can stop following me and go on your own way.” He speaks like he is on drugs and acts bizarre. When they got to the final destination he started to unload and had wet boxes , some dripping with liquid that he continued to move regardless. His behavior was of someone who did not care. The concern he had was 0%. He was unhappy the entire time. When the entire move was completed he asked for his money. We paid him in cash and gave him an extra $200. Jospeh started to argue with us about the travel fee. Something he said he would honor when we told him he had mentioned it was $400 a few weeks ago. Immediately he starts to get upset , grabbing a calculator he says it was $645.00 Completely did not honor his word. He got paid and left. The next day he started to text us asking for an additional $154.13 for a box and 7 wraps he left with us. When we didn’t respond he started to text us personal information and details he obtained and started to threaten us for $154.13. Told us he was getting an attorney for $154.13 when he was PAID $1900 CASH with additional $200!!! Wow. We paid him in full and told him he damaged almost $600 worth of stuff. Not to mention all the stuff he brought unwrapped, wet boxes and boxes he did not packaged properly. Joe aka Joseph with Maximus Moving is the worst moving company. Do not use them. Highly AVOID! Beware of the scammer tactics they use! Completely unprofessional and the worst communication you will ever encounter in your life.

A follow up review to the 1 star review given yesterday. Early today Alex, one of the owners called to apologize for everything that led up to the 1 star review yesterday. He came over right away and worked very quickly, efficiently, and professionally! Super nice guy, perfect gentleman, and was willing to do anything that was requested. He definitely made the situation right. I would not hesitate to work with Alex for any future moving needs. The original 1 star review. CAUTION! Do not rely on this company!! I spoke with Joseph on a Thursday and agreed on a price for labor only moving for a friend. I texted the address and confirmation of price agreed on and requested him to acknowledge he received the text. He did not reply. I called him he assured me they would arrive on Sunday. Again I requested acknowledgement of the text. He did not. Multiple phone calls were not returned. On the day before the move the friend who needed their services confirmed by phone that they would arrive on Sunday 9:30 a.m. They never came, they never called her, leaving a 75 year old, disabled lady to try and get some help her. This is horrible.

Integrity! A word you don’t often use with businesses. Maximus Moving has Integrity. I was moving my mom into a retirement community and called and was a bit skeptical because I’ve never hired movers before. I spoke to Alex one of the owners (super nice!). He asked me some questions and gave me an honest quote (No hidden fees). Still nervous, Alex and his team came on Saturday morning and begin moving. They were quick paced but very careful. I couldn't believe how fast they took the beds apart and back together again at new home. All 3 gentlemen treated my mother’s furniture as if they were moving one of their own family members, wrapping everything (At one point they thought they ran out of blankets and one of the guys offered to use his sweat jacket to wrap some glass shelves). All 3 men were super nice to my family. We also ran into an issue when unhooking the washer and they helped with that as well, giving us a temporary fix. I can’t say enough good things about this company and the team they have. Thank you to Alex and his team! I so appreciate everything you did to help make my mom’s move stress free.

First let me say I always like to support small businesses. I am a small business owner myself and we all started somewhere. That said, I hired this company to effect our residential move over two trips over two different days. Alex was excellent on his communications and scheduling and was on point and is very personable as was his team. I will admit when they first pulled up, I was a little concerned when I saw they were in a rental truck. That concern evaporated pretty quickly and was a non issue. The more the day went on, I realized that for a relatively new company, the expense of purchasing a 26 foot truck is not a cheap endeavor when just starting out. Again it was a non-issue. The came completely prepared with furniture pads, shrink wrap, dollies, etc. The pace that these men set for themselves was daunting. I felt tired just watching them hustle. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a fair price and excellent results. We plan to use them again when family members of ours relocate to our home next year. They will be first and only call when that time comes.

Alex the owner was responsive throughout the whole process from booking, to even being accommodating towards my move in date being pushed up earlier!! They respond to your email inquiries even on Sundays- that went above and beyond my expectations! When I had to change the arrival time the week of there was no issue! This is the second time I've used Maximus Moving in the past year and I can't say enough good things about them. They are very friendly guys, clean, arrive on time, move everything so quickly, and take good care of all the furniture, and I have lot of delicate things. They break down anything you need and rebuild it back on site. Joseph is always responsive and takes calls throughout the day. I recommended them to a friend who was able to use them as well and she said it was a great experience. Best thing is that they are affordable and never add any weird, hidden fees like the other bigger companies so what they say is what you pay. Will definitely use again when we move

We found out about Maximus through word-of-mouth after we saw them moving a neighbor of ours. After speaking with a crew member, the owner gave me a call and we discussed my family’s needs. The owner is very professional and worked with my family to schedule our move, and was understanding when we had to change dates a few times due to delays in building our new construction home. On the day of the move, his 4-man crew was on time, efficient and courteous. This may be a young company, but I would recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality moving company. 10 stars out of 5 :)

Maximus was hired to move our expanding business office, to a nearby town. Alex and team were one time and handled our items with extreme care. Once at the new office, they helped arrange items as requested, assembled new office desk and chairs and had their own tools to do the job. The team's customer service and professionalism were top notch as they continuously checked in to make sure we were satisfied and if we needed any additional help with the office. 10 out of 10 would recommend! I'm actually going to use them for my personal move at the beginning of the year.

This company was by far one of the most efficient and professional set of movers I have ever dealt with. Joseph and Alex made the whole process a breeze from start to finish. Very hard working and made it a priority to secure my belongings with thick blankets and stretch wrap to make sure no damages occurred. These guys have been awesome. Called them at the last minute to help unload a U-Haul into storage because we just rolled into town after a long move. They did a great job getting all our stuff to fit and worked as a team in a timely fashion. Called them again when we moved into our house and they helped us move furniture and boxes. I had to do a long move from Abilene to Dallas, and out of all the quotes I received Maximus Moving was one of the cheapest. For a long move, I think their price was fair. They provided a flat rate for a long move and were in constant contact with me during the whole process. Alex and team were professional, kind, and efficient when it came to moving my stuff.

I highly recommend Maximus Moving! The owner was very responsive and kept in touch with me on his time frame and when he was headed my way. Both guys were professional and super nice. They wrapped everything before loading and made sure to take extra care with all our stuff! They will be the first company I call if we move again.

Very late in posting this, but these guys moved us into our new home back in April and they were fantastic! They had absolutely no hidden fees, and they did an amazing job! They took special care with our fragile items and just did an over all wonderful job! They were also very personable and easy to talk with as well.

Joseph and Alex were extremely hard working and professional. My movers had canceled on me last minute, Joseph and Alex were able to jump in and get me moved the very next day! The hourly price and travel fee were fair and reasonable. These guys work fast and efficient while still being careful of my belongings.
