Brought my dog Teddy to see Dr. Lisa for his annual vet visit. I was so impressed by Dr.Lisa’s approach to treating animals. Prior to seeing Dr. Lisa, our typical vet visits almost always consisted of: annual screening, all the shots, flea and tick meds, heart worm and Lyme screening, and some antibiotic medication for whatever they thought my pup needed. They’d also try to push dog food that they carried in house which never worked well with my dog. (Typically Hills). I would also be guilt tripped if I inquired for more information about dogs and annual vaccinations. The main thing that bothers me with this approach is I don’t believe in overloading animals with meds/shots unless it’s absolutely needed. Today’s visit on the other hand was very informative and I think we found our vet for life! My dog’s treatment plan consisted of a more holistic approach (supplements, probiotics, a natural flea and tick prevention spray)... and the biggest thing: they don’t push vaccinations on any pet unless they don’t have antibodies for those vaccines anymore! This is exactly how veterinary care should be. I regret not finding Dr. Lisa sooner.

I have been going to Dr. Lisa for 10 years. She is the best!!!! Dr. Lisa is caring, gentle and her diagnoses are always 100% correct. When I got my second dog, he was only 6 months old and he became very sick. I took him to the Emergency Hospital in Hamilton and they diagnosed him with allergies. After 24 hours he was still very sick. I took him back to emergency and they took an x-ray and found nothing other than he had allergies. Another day went by and he was not getting any better. I took him in to see Dr. Lisa and within seconds of looking at the x-ray, she said he had pneumonia. If I had not taken him to Dr. Lisa he would have died. She has been my hero on a number of occasions. I live 45 minutes away from her office and if I had to drive 3 hours, I would not hesitate. She is the best kept secret. LOVE HER and would never go anywhere else.

Took our farm guardian dog in today (because of pandemic no farm visits). He is very anxious when away from his farm duties, and doesn’t travel unless he has to. They saw him out in the backyard so we could stay with him to help reduce anxiety and were incredibly patient and gentle with him, even when his cooperation level was less than stellar! We always feel confident in their recommendations and treatments. What could have been very scary and traumatic for our dog turned out to be a great experience. Thanks Dr Lisa and team!!

Dr. lisa is a life saver! My girl was being treated for allergies for well over 6 months and no change. I heard of Dr Lisa thru a pet store, was told it will all be worth the 4-6 month wait to see this vet, I called and was able to have an appointment over the phone within a weeks time. I sent photos of my girl and had my phone appointment, the treatment my girl was put on started fast working within 3 days! I can't thank Dr. lisa enough she saved my girl from itchy and red bleeding fur

We started going to Dr Lisa in 2006 with our Scottie, Brodie, with her approach to holistic vet treatment. She was very informative, patient and we appreciated all she did and taught us. When it came time to say goodbye to our baby, Dr Lisa came to the house and spent an extended time helping us do the right thing for us and Brodie. We are now adding 2 puppies to our lives and we have no hesitation going back to Dr Lisa to make sure these little guys are happy and healthy.

The staff are always so friendly and helpful. Because of the pendemic the visit was different than last year. Janie came out to the front deck and went through the questionnaire. Took Fritz and his poop sample. I waited out in my car. Dr. Lisa came out and spoke with me about the check up and findings. Fritz is in good health. When Jamie came out with Fritz she had him wrapped in a blanket. This really comforted him. Top noch service. They care and it shows.

Dr Lisa and her staff are truly amazing. She blends the perfect amount of professionalism and caring. We lost our 4 year old Bernese to cancer (3 months only between diagnosis and death). It was a tragedy for us and would not have made it through as well as we did without Dr Lisa and her staff. Have a tibetan terrier with IBD and Dr Lisa has been helping with alternative care and traditional medicine when needed. Honestly, can't say enough good things.

Dr. Lisa Burgess is an amazing vet! Dr. Lisa and her staff are kind, caring, and actually interested in the well-being of your fur-family, unlike many vets today. She never does unnecessary treatments and is honest about treatments, costs, etc. She uses herbal remedies (which I adore) but she uses medical remedies when needed. I recommend her to any one I run into looking for a great vet.

Dr. Lisa has been my vet for at least 5 years, she is absolutely wonderful. She is honest and I love her approach to any issues we’ve had with our pup. She got Faith through some bad skin issues after we first adopted her and we are forever thankful. The staff are also amazing, always friendly and happy to see you and your pet. Her lack of concern resulted in my dog being rushed to emergency in kidney failure. He passed a month later. I regret, more than anything, not having another vet check him over when he was clearly declining in health. I trusted her opinion, and it cost us valuable time and my dogs life.

Great veterinary! Dr. Lisa is wonderful and very knowledgeable - we love her wholistic approach. The staff on the team are so caring and attentive. The team has done an excellent job managing covid and providing extra care given we can't attend the appointment with our pets in person.

Lisa was my vet 15 yrs. ago and she was amazing then and is even more amazing now! Her staff are all very nice and my dog trigger loved them! She took her time in examining my dog and explained everything in great detail. Would definitely recommend her!
