My cat did not have a good experience at MPH. The short version is that multiple different vets missed opportunities to tell me about multiple important items of cat care, culminating in a failure to diagnose a tumor that ultimately led to my pet's swift decline and death. The long version: I took my elderly cat in every 6 months or so, for several years. Each time, he'd lost a bit of weight, and he seemed hungrier. Turns out that cats' ability to digest food decreases with age. No one at MPH ever told me this. I think my cat was in a constant state of hunger for much of the last few years of his life. During one visit, a vet literally cracked off a piece of tartar from my cat's teeth, but don't remember much (if any) encouragement to have his teeth cleaned. I've since learned that feeding cats (or any pet) canned food and/or kibble is terrible for their dental health, but MPH was happy to keep selling me the very expensive special anti-kidney stone food for years. Maybe it helped prevent kidney stones, but it sure wasn't good for his teeth. I think he probably had some non-trivial dental pain for several years. My cat's last visit to MPH was due to my observation that he'd started smacking his lips and sticking his tongue out. The vet spent maybe 5 minutes with him, said he had "some rotten teeth" and should be scheduled for a cleaning, and took him in the back for some blood tests. Ultimately, these were normal except for a drop in white cell count. It seems like one of the vets should have helped me understand my cat's dental situation before it got to the point of being characterized as "rotten". Dental health is incredibly important to all animals. This lack of attention to dental care may have had more severe consequences than some oral pain. The end of the story is that barely five weeks after my cat's visit to MPH, which occurred specifically to investigate oral irritation, he started bleeding profusely from his mouth from what was ultimately identified as an oral squamous cell carcinoma. This is a very common (and very deadly) form of cancer in older cats. It should definitely have been on the differential diagnosis list for the symptoms my cat was having when I brought him in over a month before the bleeding episode, but my MPH vet never mentioned it. The MPH vet didn't make much of an effort to look around the inside of his mouth. The site of my cat's tumor was *very* easy to see, right in the middle of the roof of his mouth. Although the tumors can grow quickly, I find it hard to believe that a quick exam wouldn't have detected something five weeks before he almost bled to death. Had I known at the time how easy it is to look inside cats' mouths by holding their heads in a particular way, I could've checked his mouth myself every day. I understand that most cats don't live even 6 months after diagnosis with this type of tumor. Even if he'd been diagnosed many months beforehand, the likelihood is high that he still would've died when he did. However,..... 1) cancer drugs work better when a patient is relatively healthy, which is one reason that stage of cancer diagnosis is a very important predictor of survival time; I didn't start giving my cat chemo until he was already debilitated from loss of blood and pain and having a hard time eating anything, let alone taking pills 2) had the vet caught the tumor, I absolutely would've altered the personal plans I had to be away for three weeks, which turned out to be my cat's last three "good" weeks; the bleeding occurred the day before I got home 3) the lack of dental care almost certainly exacerbated the inflammation in my cat's mouth, causing him even more pain in his last days; also, the chronic inflammation from bad dental health could have been a contributing factor to the development of his cancer in the first place On top of the weight loss issue, it seems that my cat really wasn't well-served by MPH. I bought expensive food there for years, and got pricey lab tests every six months, but the "human" element seems to have been lacking.
We've been going to Mission Pet with our dogs for the past 8 years and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. First and foremost, I TRUST the doctors. They are amazing. They are great with my dogs even when they are scared and unhappy to be there (like all pets at the vet!) and they really do a great job of helping them relax. They sit and truly TALK with you about what is going on. Then, they let you know all your options. They never push the most expensive option...they really walk you through it. I always feel in control of making the best decision for my dog and my family. I also have always had a great experience with the front desk people and vet techs. Everyone is nice, which is so important in my book! I don't wan to go somewhere, all stressed about my pet, and have someone be rude to me! Yes--sometimes the front desk is busy and may take a few moments to get to you but that's normal business. Once they do, I have their full attention. THANK YOU, MISSION PET! We would never go anywhere else!
Dr Dave Gordon at MPH was highly recommended by a friend/colleague, so I chose Mission Pet despite its only drawback - location/parking. I have no regrets and have been very happy with Dr Gordon and the rest of MPH's awesome staff! Dave and his colleagues are clearly invested in taking great care of everyone's fur kids and have taken kind, loving care of my puppy, Arlo! I must say I've also been impressed by everyone's timely and patient communication and follow up at MPH - it's never an issue getting callbacks, Rxs, documentation, etc. Plan ahead knowing that it may take a few mins to find parking (at most it has taken me 10 mins once, usually less) and that this is a very lively, vibrant (read: many potential distractions for a young pet), and always busy area of SF and you won't have any regrets choosing MPH for your pets! :)
I've been taking my dog there for over a year. My dog has chronic allergy problems so I am there often, spending lots of money. This past week my dog needed an allergy shot via a tech appointment. The only available appointment was two weeks out which i really couldn't wait. I called every day for three straight days asking for any cancellations. No one seemed to care or wanted to work to get me into to see a tech. On the fourth day the women informed me that all cancellations had already been given away for the day. I have no idea why I wasn't informed. The front desk staff is not large. Someone had to have know I'd been desperately trying to get into the tech schedule. They did not care. I've since switched my dog at a different vet. Also this place is way to small and parking is horrid.
Parking is horrid. You had a lot for us but then "you" fell victim to greed because rather than hanging on to it -as you should have if you genuinely cared about us; I've been a customer since 1987- you sold it to developers so they can build more luxury condos for the filthy rich non-locals. And you think you can convince us that you really care just because technology has yielded new conveniences such as this electronic feedback your now asking of me? Well know you know how I feel about it. It is not what you say, but what you do that speaks loudest. I believe that after selling our parking lot? The millions you cashed in on, should more than compensate for at the very least one decade in a half without you raising our fees. PERIOD.
Last week, Bella , my canine companion broke out in hives while staying at the Day Care Center. I called our primary vet hospital, but the were not able to see her because they were booked. Then, I called the Mission Pet Hospital and the receptionist seemed to be very knowledgeable and caring about dogs so she made room for us to visit the hospital on an emergency basis. When we got there, they saw Bella immediately and treated her in no time. I was out of there in no time and staff was very friendly and helpful, Including the Vet who discussed different treatments options with me before doing anything. Great service. Thank you MPH for taking care of BELLA when she needed it the most!
I can't say enough about the wonderful care my cats and dogs have received here throughout the years. I have moved to the sunset and continue to bring them here because of the loving compassionate care. My kitty had congestive heart failure and was treated so tenderly finally receiving hospice care. My dog was treated for colitis gallbladder disease, cancer. I have a dog that has had orthopedic surgery and is perfect! I have urgently brought my dog in for a disagreement with the raccoon, fox tails in the ears and in the nose. You name it we've been there for it. Dr. Curtis Press has been our primary care physician but all the staff there are great.
Mission Pet Hospital is a Great place to take your Fur Babies/Pets. I have been bringing my Dogs there for decades and always came out knowing they were in good hands. Curtis Press, Danny Dickerson etc, etc... ( too many to list) are the Best. They truly not only care about your pet but care about you too. I had an emergency with Kiki a few years ago and rushed her in and she was immediately taken in the back and Curtis (who was on his way home) stayed and took care of her. They came out and gave me updates on her and in short they saved her life. MPH has Great Veterinarians, Technicians and Service. It is a Great place to bring your pets.
Highly recommend Dr. Perman. Our cats were patients here for years. The staff is respectful, kind, and really responsive. Doctors cover for each other when you need something and your regular doctor isn’t available. When our cats were sick and needed more attention, Dr. Perman checked in with us regularly (sometimes daily) by phone or email. When it was time for us to make the decision to put one of our cats to sleep, she was extremely kind and also direct when we needed her to be. When we have pets again, this is where we’ll bring them. It’s not the cheapest vet in town, but we always felt like we were getting stellar advice.
Compassionate, loving, and informative care. I really appreciate the time they take to answer questions and talk through our dogs' health and treatment plans (we have an elderly dog and a new rescue dog). I appreciate the effort to discuss cost and priorities, without us asking in case that was a concern. If you have pet insurance, they keep electronic medical records and exam notes, which makes it super easy for sending in claims (and keeping track of receipts which you can get printed or emailed). We've been coming here for 5 years now and highly recommend. Thank you for providing such wonderful care for our dogs!
Update 2017: ended up bringing our dog back, but asked for a different doctor with more experience this time. Got Dr. Press, can't recommend him highly enough! Very patient and talked us through all the possible problems, tests, outcomes, and costs associated. Laid everything on the table just like we wanted so we could make an informed decision. We are definitely fans now! Yay MPH! Original 2016: These people are nice, and their prices are OK for San Francisco, but we brought our dog in for an issue and even though we paid for several tests they never did diagnose it. So I sort of doubt their abilities.
I've been a client of Mission Pet Hospital for nine years. They've treated both my dogs, and cats. I've always recieved excellent care and excellent customer service. Dental cleanings, lump removal, knee repair, complex diagnoses, we've been through it all. Curtis Press is my go to guy, but all the vets, at Mission Pet have been willing to work through my questions, have supported my desire to contain costs and have been so comforting when euthanasia, was necessary. The waiting room is small, parking has become more difficult, but I wouldn't consider changing.
Lovely staff. Kind doctors. Expertise throughout the clinic. All of that you might find elsewhere. So why take your animal friend here? Because they cherish the human-animal bond that serves us so well. And they prove it through their community service activities. Principally, MPH partners with other organizations to provide free or low cost veterinary services to folks of modest means. Theirs is no small commitment - the time, energy and resources committed are substantial. They have the science, the art and the soul of animal care in mind. Yay!
Business Modo $$$Money$$$ first pets last fyi they want $$$$ before! you! even! step! in! the! place!!! Called in for the very first time talked with Kelly was asked for my debit card to pay over the phone before coming in didnt even care or ask what kind of animal I even had let alone what was wrong with him told her we would pay when we got there lady says no we want the moneys first! plus who gives out debit/credit card info over the phone these days? So unsafe... so they can have it and start runing charges.. Nope. Not goin for that next!!
We've been going to MPH for over 10 years and always recommend it to friends, neighbors, anyone looking for a vet. The staff is always very friendly, courteous, and helpful. We always try to schedule with Dr. Fortuna (just because she was the first vet we saw & always felt very comfortable with her and impressed with not only her skill/knowledge, but her awesome 'bedside manner'), but at this point, we have seen 6 of the 8 vets and have been happy with each one. Give them a chance if you're new to the area or have just gotten a new pet!
We brought our cat Morsel in for a check up. Dr. Perman was very thorough and gentle with Morsel. She reassured us that Morsel was okay and explained why he may have been feeling ill. When we inquired if any blood work should be done she said it wasn't necessary. We appreciated Dr. Perman's honesty about not needing any blood work instead of trying to add on tests that weren't necessary. We have been going to Mission Pet Hospital for 30 years and will continue to do so as we've always received excellent treatment for our pets.
All this vet cares about is money. I only went there bc of the positive reviews but what a nightmare my 3 experiences were there. After $1300 bill they still couldn’t tell me why my dog had bloody diarrhea. Then when my other dog is having breathing issues they won’t even take me in bc I was late having spent 20 min just trying to find parking. They have nickel and dimes me every time I went there and that’s all they care about is money. Not genuine or have a care about your pets health. Don’t take your pet there!!! Trust me.
I've relied on MPH since 2002 when I adopted Roxanne my first German Shepherd-mix. I continue to rely on them to address the medical needs of my most recent GSD rescue, Emma. Over the past 16 years, I've had the good fortune to work with all of the doctors listed below at least once: Curtis Press Claire Blumstein Jill Fortuna David Gordon Along with their technical staff, they create an experience of relaxed, confident professionalism that's so valuable when working with animal patients and their human caretakers.
I like this clinic a lot because my dogs are comfortable there. They treat all dogs like they are special and not another number. I feel like they have improved over the last couple years as well. It is right in the Mission so I have easy access from Noe Valley There is a great garage at 16 Hoff that I always use. It is really close and they also have a great staff. So if you used to go there go back and give this clinic another chance and if you have never been there tenths is really a great place.
This is BY FAR the worst vet I have ever dealt with in 30 years of owning dogs. They are rude, not compassionate, over priced, and every other bad adjective I can't think of right now. We just called with an emergency for our dog and they asked if we wanted to make an appointment for 2 weeks from now. AN EMERGENCY, "please make an appointment". Avoid this place like the plague. I truly can't emphasize this enough. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT TRUSTING THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR PETS.
We made an appointment here for 4PM on a weekday afternoon. In and out in around 25min without very much waiting at all. Our doctor was extremely helpful and friendly in answering any questions we had. We received a follow up call the next day giving us additional information regarding some x rays we had taken, and again our doctor helped us answer any questions we had. Everyone we met was friendly, helpful, and patient - it was a great experience through and through!
The staff at Mission Pet Hospital are always warm, attentive, accommodating and genuinely caring. Dr. Claire Blumstein is an outstanding vet. She will give you all the facts, look for the least invasive treatment option and is both compassionate and highly skilled. And my dog adores her! Dr. Gordon did a complicated and very successful surgery this past year. We are very grateful for the entire Mission Pet Hospital Team and would highly recommend them!
Initially had a fine experience here when it came to basic vaccinations/checkups for my puppies. However, once we came back for sick checkups/my dogs neutering - we had several issues ranging from rude phone management staff, delayed test results and sample mismanagement, my dog getting a throat injury from staff mismanagement of a leash around his neck. Needless to say I have moved my dogs to another vet and will not be coming back here.
I cannot describe how grateful I am to all of the staff of this hospital. They have gone above and beyond for me multiple times and they will always be the first place I call in hopes that they can help and get me in which hopefully I will not need but feel at ease knowing they are there. They didn't need to provide the extent of care they did in each situation, but they did, and it felt so reassuring when I was in panic mode.
Great service. They are offensively expensive though. I have been going to this vet for 3 years and regularly am frustrated with the prices they charge me for medications. The most recent price quote was the most upsetting. They told me my dog's eye drops (Gentocin Durafilm) would be $86, so I paid the full price. I later found the same drops online for $15-$27. I feel foolish for using this vet and their recommendations.
I want to thank the staff at Mission Pet Hospital. My dog Happi has been going to MPH for 14 years since she arrived in the USA. She has been called a Miracle Dog since she survived being hit by a car, heartworm, bleeding tumor, car accident and 14 years on three legs. MPH gave her the best care until her final minutes. They treated both Happi and I with compassion and dignity while she passed on in my arms. Thank you.
When I spoke to the receptionist about the concern i had for my friends pet she completely snapped her gum or lips or whatever she had in her mouth that was wet and inappropriate she conveyed her dislike for her career choice. I didn’t chose for her so she shouldn’t have to let me know how highly she dislikes her job. At that point I completely forgot why I had even called in the first place.
I have been coming to this pet hospital for 25+ years for my cats. It is excellent for both dogs and cats! The vets and techs are warm and inviting. The front desk can be busy but efficient. Some of the staff have grown older with me…lol. I’ve been lucky with location..they’re just just around the corner on my block! I appreciate the care they have given my cats currently and to end of life.
We take our pets here after our old place became more interested in money than our pets' health. MPH has friendly, helpful staff and doctors. They clearly love animals and their work. We've had health issues that they've been great at figuring out, and then presenting viable options for treatment. Mission Pet Hospital is top dog the whole way. Your loved animals are in good hands here!
Our first choice of vet in the city. The doctors are incredibly kind and patient, and work hard to strike that fine balance between necessary diagnostics and cost saving tests. They also really listen to us and are extra easy to work with. The reception staff is the best. We've never had a difficult or contentious interaction with the hospital in the five years we're brought our dog in
When I was new to the area and my cat had an emergency they were able to fit us in within hours! My cat needed surgery and they took all necessary precautions to ensure she was healthy enough for surgery and answered all of my questions thoroughly. There was no question or concern that was too small during that stressful time. I am pleased to report that my cat is back to 100%!
Vets we've seen have been consistently gentle, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They are quick to respond and call back with results. They work to accommodate my schedule. Efficient, and vet fees are in line with other vets in SF, maybe a little less. Labs are costly, but I think that's standard. Will continue to go back for the care of my sweet old cat.
I have been taking my dog to MPH for about five years. I've received excellent care from the vets and techs. The staff are very open about procedures and costs and prices are comparable to other vet hospitals. Their after hours line was very helpful when my dog hurt her back. The vet called me back in a timely manner and and gave me several good options.
Been going to MPH for about 10+ years now. Both my kids Reina and Coquita are treated with exceptional care, and always with preventive care vaccine wise. The staff is always professional and curtious. The doctors are exceptional as well. They all take the time to answer questions and concerns. With my spouse and I they get a 5 out of 5 star rating.
I've a lot of faith in the vets at Mission Pet Hospital, most particularly Dr Gordon. The knowledge is great but it's the willingness to research and find out more about anything wrong with my pets has been life-saving. My only regret is that this hospital is so popular it can be hard to get an appointment, especially with my preferred vet.
Veterinarian David Gordon is phenomenal with animals, his bedside manner is caring and kind. Having known Dave since he was in vet school, I completely trust his advice and abilities. How lucky I am to reconnect with him now that I have adopted a rescue in SF! I couldn't be more pleased with the care my new dog is receiving. Thank you MPH!
I have been using mph for a long time - I really appreciated everything that everyone did when I had to put Sadie down - it was comforting to receive the condolence card - it was wonderful to see the lives she touched & I also appreciated the donation made in our names - there was nowhere else I even considered to bring Maddie - thank you
I am disabled; my Service Dog is my lifeline to the world. I am extremely please with Mission Pet Hospital services, my Dog likes the Doctors and so do I. The Doctors explain the processes and treatments in detail. I don’t have to ask or guess about tests and medications. I am treated with respect and concern - I really like that!
We've taken our pup Luna here a couple of times now since moving to San Francisco. Always excellent service from the front desk staff, and the veterinarians (we saw Dr. Wade most recently) have been kind and wonderful. The app for scheduling appointments and keeping up with Luna's records is super convenient. Highly recommend!
Terrific vet clinic. There are many different vets and all of the ones I've spoken with have been knowledgeable and great. They made me feel like my cats are in good hands. They respond very quickly to questions by phone or email. They have convenient hours, with later appointments on weekdays and are also open Saturdays.
Mission Pet Hospital provides the best care! Front desk staff are super friendly, Dr. Fortuna is wonderful and I appreciated that she called as a follow up to check on how my cat was doing after he had been seen. Providers are thorough without pushing to do extra procedures. Your pet will appreciate that you take here!
Recently my Blu Heeler had a bleeding cyst removed from her shoulder at Mission Pet Hospital. They did a wonderful job. In one day my pooch was happy & back playing. I cannot praise Mission Pet & their staff enough! I’ve been taking my dogs here for over 20 years. They’re informative & caring. Highly recommended!
Can't say enough about the people that work here. Dr Press, Dr Perman, Whitney and so many of the nurses and staff are just so pleasant and caring. We've had them care of a number of our dogs (Remus, Luna and Summer). Sad to have had to move away to East Coast but I would highly recommend them to anyone in SF.
A super friendly neighborhood practice with wonderful staff and vets. We've been taking our dog here for 4+ years and are happy with our experience. The only drawbacks are the parking situation and the fact that it's a pretty small practice, so can sometimes be hard to get an appointment right away.
Great place for anyone who loves their dog, cat, and animal friends. As a dog trainer and walker I like to have an emergency veterinarian’s contact on hand, and this is the place I call. They helped my personal service dog and they’ve helped my clients’ dogs. They’re highly recommended here!
This is a grade A place! They helped me with me cat as she aged with very insightful communication of the health of my animal and were very supportive and compassionate helping me when I had to go through an end of life with my little Nina cat. Above an beyond any expectations, thank you!
This is a vet for wealthy people. They wont ever refill ANY prescription without ANOTHER $100 visit first. Its not even a thorough visit, more of just a glance. They aren't competent either. My dog's eye ulcer is finally healing after the antibiotics i demanded again. Just awful service
Our dog, 3+ years old, has been going to this place for her entire life. Vaccination, physicals, checkups and prescription filling are done with vets and aids. They provide friendly and prompt services. The fees are on a high side, especially if your pet needs x-ray and other exams.
Great experiences all around. MPH has been great in accommodating appointments to work for my schedule and the vets have made themselves available to talk by phone when our dog had seizures. Friendly staff that really seems to care about the animals they take care of. Very pleased.
MPH has been caring for my dog since he was 10 weeks old. He is 10 years old now. I encourage all of my friends with pets to go to MPH. The philosophy of the doctors of putting the animal first and being fair, honest and experienced is what has kept me part of the "family" at MPH.
Best vet, they are always very helpful and professional and I’ve been going to them for my cats for 13 years. They provided excellent end of life care for my old cat that passed away, and continue to provide great care for my new kitten. I expect many more years with them
Whether emergency or regular check up, mission pet hospital had always provided outstanding customer service to both me and my pet. Their doctors are empathetic, and thoughtful about our needs and our cat's. Thank you MPH for being a great contribution to our community.
I took my 17 year old cat, Julie for various issues. She was seen by Amanda Perman, DVM who provided outstanding service. I'm so grateful that this place offers such a compassionate caring staff. The service was outstanding and worth every penny. Thank you so much.
Switched here from another clinic in the city. Tiny space but friendly and supportive staff and experienced vets. They have more vets than other places. Came here for a second visit recently and we are comfortable trusting them for the long term care of our pup.
Mission Pet was so wonderful and thorough when helping me navigate the quite complicated process of moving my cat to Hawaii. They were always easy to reach, and helped simplify the process. They were my cat's vet for 7 years and I would recommend them to anyone.
Took my doggie at 10 am for pain in her ear. Told I would have to wait till 11:30. They saw my doggie at 10:20 and was out by 10:50. They removed 3 fox tails from her ears and gave me a discount on bill. I left so happy and my doggie looked better immediately.
Super friendly, helpful staff and doctors. I moved across the country and when requested, they pulled all records from my former vet and had read up on my pups before ever entering the exam room. Gave me great peace of mind that the dogs were in caring hands.
MPH is awesome! Had a pretty complicated surgery on our trail running cattle dog and they were all amazing .Our vet Dave Gordon followed up repeatedly over the weekend even while on vavation !! Can't say enough ! Thanks to the entire awesome crew at MPH !
I have been taking my pups to MPH for the past 9 years and I cannot say enough great things about this place. The veterinarians and staff are extremely knowledgeable, caring, and friendly. This is the place to go for great quality care for your pets!!!
We love all the veterinarians and staff at Mission Pet Hospital. We have been taking our 2 greyhounds here for over 10 years and they have guided us through so many different health issues, from routine check-ups to chemotherapy to tumor removals.
The Best of the Best. The best doctors, the best staff, the best veterinary hospital. I have been taking my companions here for years. As long as my circumstances allow and as long as I have companion animals I will be going to Mission Pet
I've been taking my dogs to Mission Pet Hospital for about ten years and always get great care at an affordable price. Doesn't matter which vet I see; they are always attentive, knowledgeable, and gentle and patient with my dogs.
THE BEST DOCTORS AND STAFF MEMBERS FOR YOUR BEST FRIEND (DOGS /CATS). THEY ARE SO WARM AND CARING WITH YOUR BABIES.. AND THAT IS WHY I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MISSION PET HOSPITAL . GIVE THEM A CALL YOU & PET WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!
Just a warning that this vet is primarily interested in money. Any x-ray or shot they can get away with they'll try to perform without rational basis. Also they don't accept pet insurance, so be prepared to spend out of pocket.
We’ve been going to Mission Pet Hospital for almost 20 years now and the quality of care is top notch. Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable - they’ve seen us through many challenging pet emergencies. Highly recommended.
MPH doesn't need to make any improvements, except to have a location closer to my side of town : ). You are the best—so kind and professional, AND consistent. Unusual to see the same vets in one practice for so many years.
I've had really great experiences with my two cats here over many years. Be warned that it is difficult to park here. I used to bring my cat in a crate on my skateboard, and it would make them laugh and shake their heads.
Front desk staff and the person sitting behind them often have attitude when sharing information about prescriptions or other general information. Lack of emphaty. I don't know why they treat customers this way.
This is my primary care doctor for my dog and I just went to my first appointment with Lucy last week. The only negative side is that the doctor seems to want to sell you more things. I don't have it like that!!!
Great staff, went there years ago and now we are back Our vet we were seeing left but we saw Dr. Press and he was awesome! It's very clean and the amount of time they take with you and your pet is amazing! …
Vets are great here! My cat is 11 years old, and he has been sering the vets here his whole life. They are very caring, will phone and spend time with you discussing your pet's medical isues. Highly recommend!!
Mission Pet Hospital was outstanding! Very friendly and extremely helpful staff! They helped us get out kitten travel ready so she could travel comfortably in the plane cabin on a long flight. Highly recommend!
Late night at the emergency vet is never where you want to be. Although we were there for a good part of the evening, the staff was very kind and dealt with the patients as quickly as possible. Thank you again!
This place only cares about getting as much money out of you as they can. I would never trust bringing my pet there again after my two experiences dealing with them as well as what I heard from someone else.
I’ve worked with several of the doctors at Mission Pet Hospital and all of them have been exceptionally kind, caring and competent. The office staff and ancillary staff as well are friendly and professional.
very rude and not understanding staff of personal medical reasons.. its not about the dogs health only policies of pushing wearing a mask agendas. avoid calling this place. please do not waste you time.
We have gotten such great care for both our pups from several different vets and office staff. You all clearly love animals and respect the parents. Thank you for being such fantastic animal caregivers.
Took my cat here to get spayed and had a great experience. I was nervous leaving my baby but they took very good care of her and kept me informed. The doctors, nurses and staff were all fantastic.
I stopped in here after my dog was bit by another dog. The entire staff was so caring and helpful. Their emergency visit is $75 less than my usual vet. I will be bringing my dog here from now on.
I have been taking my cat to mission pet his entire life. He receives attentive and genuine care. Any health concern along with its options are explained to me clearly and always compassionately.
I've used Mission Pet Hospital for many years. I'm now on my third cat who is a MPH patient. Excellent customer service and staff. Dr. David Gordon is the best. I trust him with my cat's health.
You provide all I could ever hope for in the wonderful care of all my family of pets in both the past and present. I couldn’t ask for more than the blessing of Mission Pet Hospital. THANK YOU ❤️
I have taken my pets to Mission Pet Hospital for over 20 years. All the professional and office staff are exceptional. I trust their recommendations and advice and have never had a complaint.
I love the vets at this facility. They're detail oriented, are very good communicators and show great care. There is often a wait to get in a room and for checkout. Parking is not easy.
You couldn't have done better! I am so thankful you guys had an opening same day Twizil's dew claw was ripped - she was bleeding a lot! Thanks again for your great attention to her :)
My puppy swallowed glass after crunching my glasses. Dr Feller got her to puke it up and she had zero cuts in her throat. Very happy with the swift emergency response and after care.
The third vet I've tried in SF, they are definitely the most professional and friendly that I've found. They came strongly recommended, and I wanted to add my recommendation to that.
Dr. Press is a wonderful vet. He is kind, caring, knowledgeable, and really takes the time to care for your pet and explain exactly what's going on, and his plan to help them.
This place misdiagnosed my cat and then on the second visit the vet charged me another $1200 to run tests he should've run initially. My cat died of cancer ten weeks later.
Great location and staff. We saw Dr. Amanda and she was very thorough and made sure we understood everything she was telling us. You won't regret taking your pet here.
Always really responsive, friendly, and accommodating (particularly during these crazy times); nice to know if something happens to my pup they’re available.
Very professional, welcoming, friendly and competent staff. They have always taken great care of my various cats! I highly recommend Mission Pet Hospital.
Absolutely terrible experience and poor excuse for a vet. The receptionist has no compassion when it comes to an emergency with our dog. Do not recommend.
The folks at the front desk are always friendly! The techs are also super nice and gentle with my dog whenever we come in. We love Mission Pet Hospital!
Good vets, much better than the (recently rebranded Sage Mission pet hospital). This will be our go-to for our chonker of a kitty. Highly recommended.
They are simply the best - the vets and the entire staff. I can not recommend them more highly. They treat my cat, adult dog and puppy extremely well.
Mission pet hospital has some of the best Veterinarians in the Bay Area,iv I' been with them .through the 10 yrs. Of my first Dog and now my new Dog
Extremely compassionate and informed staff - always clearly communicating my dogs needs and next steps. Would rate higher than 5 stars if possible.
Very professional and caring. Saw my 12.5 year old Irish Setter earlier this week and my 13 year old cat today. Great social distancing protocols.
The doctors and staff always make me feel that my pet is the most important patient there. They are very compassionate. Your pet is in good hands.
