My family loves this place. Good place, friendly, helpful and polite staff. We always order whole chicken with two sides (plus something else). Very happy with the food Most of the time we got what we expected. Only a couple of times the chicken was a little bit burnt, garlic bread was soggy (with butter) and the original / sweet popato chips were soft. Taste wise,they were still good. It could be because they were busy (always!) Or the staff were new (saw new faces quite often). One plus to dine here (not sure whether this is valid for other Nandos branches) is that they can provide halal chicken (on request). So this place was fully booked when we visited last time during the break of fasting time during ramadhan. Better to call and check the seat availability especially during this time rather than being disappointed. Another thing we noticed, compared to Nandos in other states: here, when we ordered whole chicken with two large sides, we can have both large sweet potato chips without additional charge. I remembered when I visited Nandos in Melbourne (several times, different Nandos branches), they gave only small potato chips bowl (upgrade to a large bowl with additional $). So, as a sweet potato chips lover, this place is a gem!

I normally enjoy your nando chicken every 2 weeks I head to North Hobart Nandos great service delicious.meals I this time I ordered a whole chicken for my friend and I I asked well done and mild. I take it home it was to spicy looked at the box it had hot and the chicken wasn't even cooked right through and also it wasn't well done like I asked than had to put it in the oven for a further few minutes I couldn't be bothered going back being tired from work but I phoned them 3 times no answer kept me on hold machine says wsitingvyim 3 minute waited 15 minutes still not answer left my number no one called back on the message very disappointed the people in the cooking area ones that are grilling they look at you it's like we did something wrong they don't smile they just give you this nasty look But there's 2 females one guy at front service they were lovely helpful

Have been a few times. Always took a while to bring out the food but tonight was a record. An hour wait. Not almost an hour, exactly an hour if not more. We could see the transaction time on the phone (20.08), at 21.04 we were debating whether or not ask for a refund and leave. We were under the impression the staff was clueless and not concerned, and kept giving priority to Uber and takeaway pushing back table orders. We saw 3 corn bowls sit there for a good 40 mins before being brought out (2 of them were for us). It was the 2 of us with 2 meals, not a big group. The boy on the pass kept looking over and over at the dockets looking completely lost and annoyed whilst complaining he had been working for 5 hours straight. Poor thing! Won't be back again or if we ever do we'll order take out and then take a seat!

While my partner, child and myself came in, staff were under the pump and really busy to prepare everyone’s food. We ordered and sat down and while we were waiting for the food to arrive, we saw some agitated customers and also Uber eats drivers waiting for their order saying that they have been waiting for 30+ minutes. We also waited about 25 minutes but was not complaining. While the staff took the complaints, they handled it well and professionally. Eventually everyone got what they ordered (and including myself). I would like to give the night staff and the food 5 stars as they handled the customers concerns well and professionally. Well done guys! Keep up the good work that you do. :)

I had made an order with uber eats for a whole chicken and 1 large side for which i chose spicy rice. And i never received the spicy rice in my order. The bag was packed and i am sure that the restaurant itself made a mistake by not putting the spicy rice in. Its not about the money but its about the fact that when someone orders for something he is craving to eat the product. And when i called the restaurant , the response that i get is that we can not re deliver it but you can get a refund on the help section of uber eats. I mean i get they cant do anything regarding the order made through a third part butThis is rediculous customer service. I could hear the manager speaking to the poor girl who was on the phone with me where he should have come to the phone to solve my predicament rather than conveying his message to me all through the conversation. I am very disappointed.

Humiliating Customer Service. Worst ever customer service I've ever experienced. Walked in about an hour before they close. Had to ask three times to clean our table where the previous customers was served and left the food and dishes. Went 2 times to ask if our food ready. After waiting for around 50 min the girl came with one person food out of four of us 15 min late of there closing time and told us we have 20 min to eat our food even we haven't got our full meal served that we ordered. When we asked how come she could say that even we haven't got our full meal after waiting for that long!!! She drop the bowl very loudly on the table, replying us 'Okay Finish your food' and walked of on our face. Nando's North Hobart you should be ashamed how you behave to your customers. Never going back again and will make sure so does my friends and family.

I have dined at Nando's North Hobart often, and never had a negative experience. All menu items are well priced and service is usually great- sometimes when you order to dine in using the app you will have to remind staff that you also have a drink or certain sides, but other than that it's excellent.

I live close by and go there frequently because I love the chicken, buy had at least couple of bad experiences with staff. A girl said ‘what do you want?’ When I went back for the sauce after getting a takeaway. I don’t know, if I was on the other side I would use a more professional words like ‘how can I help you or what can I get you’. Second one is when I was with mates for dining in cutlery wasn’t available for at least 15 min after the food is served and we started to have with hands and girl came and said ‘you still want cutlery or just wanna dig in with hands?’ Totally unprofessional. Ohh she also said when there are more people we have let them know by calling them before, I didn’t know Nando’s have reservations.

This is my go to place whenever I visit hobart. This is the first time i was very disappointed. We ordered vegetarian burger and peri peri chips and they served us a chicken burger. It could be genuine mistake and they replaced it ..but quality of the food was not even close to what we use to get served every time, chips were soggy and burger bread was hard, food was cold so overall very disappointed. We visited lated afternoon it was quite but seeing unclean tables was another disappointment and it was hot air-con were not working. I hope you take this feedback to improve back and to what you were before. May or may not visit again.☹️☹️☹️☹️ I use to love Nandos…!!!!!

One of our favourite places to visit in Hobart, personally I love having 1/2 chicken (medium) and grilled broccoli on side. An perfect dinner you can ask for. If you are a rice lover please do yourself a favour, don’t order the spicy rice, you will not like it. Parking is an issue during peak time, so please do give yourself enough time for finding a spot to park your car. I had some other items as well, grilled chicken is the one who stand out from other items in the menu, so if you are a chicken lover, Nando’s is probably your place.

First time going to North Hobart Nandos , was a bit disappointed there were no gluten free bread , ordered Salad it had 3 chicken strips they brought me my order looked at the plate looked nice but had no taste what's oh ever rice was hard and tasteless so much mixed seeds the greens did not look fresh its like a plate meant for the birds the only thing was nice were the chicken strips but sent chicken back to be heated again because it was cold i don't think i will ever choose this order again money down the drain... but i must say the service was absolutely great i can't fault them . Used to be very good but of late the service has been very, very slow, poorly organised and a bit of a shambles. Visited there tonight, over 45 minutes for a bag of chips, customers all standing around with even longer wait times, lot of disgruntled customers asking for refunds and walking out, Ubereats drivers unhappy, customers in the dining area looking unhappy at the lengthy wait times. Orders placed on a counter with no staff calling out the names on the orders leading to customers all walking up and checking for themselves. Bit of a shakeup in management required there to get things back under control.

Went to the North Hobart store today, ordered 2 meals, cost around $33.00. I'd like to start by saying, in times of pandemic and hardship, of death,deviistation ,and bankruptcy all round,buying fast food is a luxury at this time. I waited 30min for the food to be ready. We finally got our food, the burger was ice cold, the chicken was cold and not cooked properly, the bun was cold and doughy,like it was defrosted, the chips were cold,and half full packets. This store was absolutely shocking,and unacceptable, a total RIP of in a time where every dollar counts. The whole bag of food went to the garbage bin.

Classic Nandos! Simple menu, tasty eats. Got the 4 chicken tenders and 1/2 of a chicken (both mild) and garlic bread on the side with corn as well! Highly recommend trying it out if you ever haven't! I've had Nando's all over the world and it never disappoints. Great place for grilled chicken and is always super tasty! Garlic bread is also a GREAT side to try here. Will always come back

I love to eat at Nando’s but today I visited the one in North Hobart and noticed that both sinks (in the bathroom and the one in the restaurant area) are covered with black mould. First I thought it is the design of the sink, but I could wipe off the mould. Very dangerous, very unhygienic especially in a restaurant where people eat! Hard to believe that the staff walks pass it multiple times every day and no one noticed it or did anything about it.

A quality Nando's which serves most of Greater Hobart west of the Derwent. They have renovated in the past year for the better and the facilities are more appealing and functional than they once were. It is a standard Nando's across the board with being able to choose your chicken spiciness to be from Churrasco BBQ/Lemon and Herb to Very Hot perri perri. Service is timely and pleasant with a great range of sides (I recommend the garlic bread). Give the place a go if you can for a cheeky Nando's!

Ordered online and gave them 45 minutes notice, went in store to wait a further 45 minutes instore, i get that its busy, but they gave me no notice, when i asked the man behind the grill 30 minutes into the wait if my order was ready and he was extremely rude and unhelpful. When i was finally given my order and i got all the way home, there was no chips in the bag.. extremely bad service, when i tried to call and let then know, again, extremely unhelpful and rude

This is quite 50/50 sort of review. Being the only nandos in the south, we drive from launceston on weekends to eat it, thats 2.5 hrs drive!!! The food is not always the same..the last time we went the food was half way grilled..looked very bland had to send back to grill further..but other days its amazingly well done..guess depends on staffs in kitchen

This time around, the franchisee must have taken note of their European sister stores and taken a few leaves from there books (so to say). The venue has been updated with clean lines, trendy furnishings and a fresh new look. Food was also well priced and of good quality.

Nice place, nice seating..Sometimes understaffed so you sometimes need to ask for table to be cleared and ask for cutlery, plates, water etc..Food is consistent. You know what you are going to get..

This Nando restaurant insisted those bbq ribs weren’t burnt, telling me this is how it supposed to be, and they can’t change it. after they saw me taking a photo of this mess, a waitress approached me and said they can replace it. Yet still refuse to admit the very fact that it’s burnt. “This is BBQ, and that’s not burnt, customers like it this way. That’s definitely not burnt.” Worst attitude ever.

We are a regular customer at North Hobart, use to love their quality. Ver disappointed this time. We had ordered paella grande, 1/2 chicken n chips. We finished our rice and still after ten minutes did not receive the rest of our meal. The staff is clueless of what’s happening. After waiting long time chicken and chips came that too not properly cooked.

Great dine-in/take-away place for eiher and indulging spicy meal or a relaxing flavoured or seaoned chicken dish, or treat yourself to their spicy chips or rice. Or you could cool down on a nice chilled waterbor softdrink. Nandos is also fully licensed and serves alcoho. restraunt offers nice seating arrangements and a restroom with a wheelchair accessible entrance♿.

Finally, I found a nandos that doesn't burn the chicken n well cooked n wasn't dry

30 minute wait for lettuce, bacon and avocado salad with chicken. Avocado missing.... Since the remake the service seems down on what it used to be. No menu boards is a real pain, you don't get to see a menu until you are being served and then the cashier is impatient as you decide what you want and you hold up the queue.

Good value, good food. I ordered a wine, which they did not have, but the manager allowed for substitute cider which was dearer for no additional charge. Good customer friendly service.

I am vegetarian but I accidentally ordered chicken pita. When I explain this to the staff after receiving my order. The staff actually gave me a huge smile and took that back to the manager. Went for an evening meal with family. Was seated,then ordered ten minutes later, order was taken and i attempted to pay by card. Was thrn told eftpos wasnt working and could only pay by cash. A complete waste of time, should have been advised of this on arrival. Will not return,useless and uncaring staff.

First time here. Tried a chicken wrap with chips. The chips weren't bad, and the wrap fresh, but barely warm. So not as enjoyable as it could be. While the service was friendly, someone came to clear my table while I was still eating and tried to take my serviette and sauce. Didn't appreciate that.

Asked for add extra sauce ontop of the takeaway chicken after cooking at time of billing. They didn't do it and even I asked the guy who gave me the takeaway about the sauce on top. He said yes and was very frustrated at home to see the blant steaming chicken. The takeaway sucks …

I highly recommend this restaurant. It serves halal amazing full of flavour chicken. I litterally enjoyed each bite. As well the waiters are very kind and friendly. Their hard work is highly appreciatied.

Did not enjoy the burger at North Hobart. We thought we would try out the burger with avocado but the burger bun was cold and grilled chicken inside the burger was not warm. Cant complain about the chicken as i have not tried it before, however, chicken burger not recommended.

Very good food. We go every week in there but I always have to clean the table and chairs. Staff need to do that job not the customers. Very embarrassing such a big name and no ones cares about cleaning.staff walking here and their and couldn’t be bothered to clean it

I 've never thought much about Nandos, no real reason why, just thought they were another fast food joint. I was pleasantly surprised, the food is good and a fairly healthy ish fast food option. Staff were pleasant and overall doesn't actually feel that 'fast foody'.

I waited half hour for my order. Turns out they mistaken my order with someone else’s. Telling me I have to wait another 10 mins. They did not apologise for the mistake. The manager did not apologise. Completely waste my time. Asked for refund never come back again.

Good food and friendly staff. This was one of the other few halal options during our stay in south arm during Xmas holidays 2019. We were running late so the staff was able to take an order over the phone for pick up and it was ready when we got there. Thanks guys!

Not bad at all really. They're open late and the food is decent. I'm honestly surprised that I have nothing bad to say here. The hidden menu item (black eggs benedict with peri peri) is awesome, but you have to know to ask for it, as it isn't on the menu.

Usually I don't have a lot of issues but last weekend I ate a Halloumi wrap with peri chips, I didn't eat much else that whole day and that same night I woke up and spewed my guts and had awful diarrhoea. Just be careful with the chicken there...

Spent $40 for 8 wet unappetising tenders and a regular bag of chewy barely seasoned chips. Absolute rip off.

One of 2 Nandos in the state. I was impressed with the politeness and friendliness of the staff. Only improvement i could recommend is to add additional nandos sauce for takeaways, very little on some of the chicken. Otherwise great stuff!

Rude staff at the till. Never have I seen such an unabashedly unapologetic behaviour from anyone in customer service. As a globe-trotter, take some cues from Nando's UK and Nando's Middle-East. Such staff will bring down the brand value.

Was told would be ready in 14 minutes, was 15 minutes late. Somehow while waiting for it to be made 2 minutes later the burger was cold like out of a fridge. At least the chips were hot.

Great food. Note for everyone - tie your shoelaces really tight when coming in here as you may leave your shoes behind the floor is so sticky. The poor lady who served us got a bit confused with our order but sorted it out.

If you want some place for a bit late dinner. This one opens until 10pm. Food was nice with friendly staff. However service was slow when we were told the wait was about 20m and we ended up waiting for more than half hour.

Good food quality. Way better than nandos branch in Rosny. They are a bit short staff. When they get half full the service gets slow they get the orders wrong and they don't have any cutlery. You have to eat with hand!!

You really can't go past Nandos for a good takeaway meal that at least will fill you up. There Chips are some of the best you can buy. The chicken is always cooked to perfection every time. Nandos North Hobart is great.

Nando's is a place where you need to go if you really want to have a Portuguese flame- grilled PERi-PERi chicken. Take with any sauces from mild, hot, extra hot or my fav extra extra hot. Starving: order Whole Chicken.

My first meal after flying in from Changi via Melbourne. Food is good as always. Service with a smile too. Great to be back in Tasmania in April 2022 after 28 months away.

It's ok, I little pricey for the food. Staff a friendly, but the tables had not been wiped down in a while and lots of sticky spots from previous meals. It is open until 11pm which is a bouns if you need a late bite.

We had a large table, food was good but some of our orders were mixed up and a couple of sides didn't arrive until we chased them up. By then it was too late. The staff are good, their processes need some attention

Ordered chicken, and regular spicy rice via uber eats. I was in my car near sandy bay, brought my food but no cutlery and tissue. How am I supposed to eat my food. Food isnt bad but service wasnt that great too.

Food is always fresh and hot from this Nando’s restaurant when delivered. However they have substituted drinks the last couple times (not a big deal but would have preferred to have been communicated with first)

Nandos is consistently delicious, and this is no exception. The Halloumi is quite a good choice, and even though I can barely stand the heat of sweet chilli sauce the Peri Peru Chips are to die for.

I love Nandos. Amazing food and sometimes get less attention from them but its ok as long the food is tasty. Last time wasn’t cooked well , wasn’t not hot enough the chicken. but it was good though

Food good, service average, cleaning poor, wiped tables with a dry paper napkin, table still sticky. Order taker didn't even understand the $16 special even after I showed her on the Nando's app.

Always amazing service, fast and friendly. Never had a problem with the quality or quantity of food, can be a little expensive, usually over $15-$20 for a meal, but worth the amazing food.

Meals are always lovely. But everytime we come here our meals are not brought out together. Today my 15 year old daughter finished hers even before we got ours. Salad was all lettuce.

Like every other Nando's restaurant. The spicy food isn't as spicy as you'd expect, and the portions are smallish for the price. But it's good food and it's a fun place with friends.

As always, Nandos delivers great quality food.
