Very disappointing and disorganized staff and service. I was really looking forward to supporting a local business because I loved a couple of their pieces and they honestly ruined the experience. I picked certain bar stools colors at the store with a delivery date set, then I get a call the following week saying one of the colors was unavailable because they don't make the stool in that color. Keep in mind that I conversed and reserved the color in-person at the store with 2 store reps. 2 weeks later, I get a call saying the stool in now available in the color. I called them 3 days to obtain a delivery time window and also to purchase other pieces and they told me they can no longer deliver on the delivery date I previously set because they lost their driver. They did not think to give me a call to set a new delivery date prior to me calling them. Also, the stool colors they had in their system set to deliver to me was COMPLETELY different from what I selected. I've never seen a furniture store this disorganized before.

I would say that my inital experience when we purchased our furniture was “Text Book Spot On”. We were greated by the young lady, offered a soft drink and she directed us to our interest. When we had questions, she was johnny on the spot which led to us spending $2,500 on that day. The product was exceptional, well built and fit our room. We decided to go back to purchase two living room chairs that we had our eyes on for some time. We walked in and were the only customers in the store with 3 salesmen on the floor. They were in a corner trying to figure out a spread sheet becasue we could hear them. They asked us to wait a minute which lasted 15 minutes before we asked a question on a sale in which we receive a one work answer of “No” which we assumed was no, the sale isn’t still on. Needless to say, they missed that sale because we just walked out and decided we probably won’t shop there again and definaly won’t recommend it if that’s how their going to treat their customers.

From start to finish, my experience with Will and his team was fantastic. They were professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of interior design and selections. The quality of the furnishings are top-notch, and everything was delivered and set up with care and attention to detail. The end result was a beautifully designed and furnished space that exceeded my expectations in every way. Overall, I would highly recommend Native Citizen to everyone. Their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction are truly exceptional. Thank you, Will and team, for a wonderful experience!

This store is a gem! You never know what treasures you will find in here. Priced very fairly and often great sales. Plenty of side parking available. The staff are amazing and always ready to help with a very friendly disposition. Many great in stock items that you can cash and carry. If not in stock the turn around on shipping is minimal compared to many stores that average 10 to 16 weeks turnaround. Local art can also be found here, small to large scale canvases. The furniture is always current, with an edge. Yet can fit almost all design tastes.

Popped in bc I saw they were having a sale and liked the furniture I saw outside. Right away the staff was offering everyone a margarita and talking to them about the furniture... except for me. Not one person greeted me or said anything to me the whole time I was there. I know I look young, but my money is good as anybody else’s and I left the store feeling really upset. I definitely would have bought the pink velvet couch had someone treated me politely.

I met James a few years back when my daughter was moving into her own place . He was amazing helping us select furniture . Fast forward daughter number 2 moved into her own place and James again helped outfit her new place . And finally myself recently. We are working on redecorating and James has helped select , desk , chairs , media center and next will be art . I can’t say enough great things about Native Citizen and James . They are like family .

My husband & I just recently purchased a Dinning Table here. They have a great selection and you can tell the pieces are high quality. James Hunter helped us, we will be coming back to purchase more from him. James provided top notch attention and customer service. He showed us their selection without making us feel rushed nor pressured to make a purchase. Easiest furniture shopping experience I’ve had. We will be coming for sure, thank you James!

Great prices and I’ve bought a few pieces from here both new and vintage. I get lots of compliments on pieces I’ve bought here. Excellent customer service, very friendly and helpful on assisting to pick the best option for me. My couch is super easy to clean with my pup. My vintage wardrobe outfitted to hold my China. Delivery too (but I had to pay and I live 2 blocks away ) wish they had free delivery within 1 mile. : )

This review is long overdue! Native Citizen is one of my favorite furniture stores in Houston. The store has a good selection of classy and sleek furniture. We’ve purchased a few pieces from them and they have fared well in our home. I bring everyone I know looking for furniture here.The customer service is unmatched and I know that they will be taken care of well. James is always so kind and helpful!!

Fantastic service-oriented business. Bought my couch from them last year, and have had a great experience every time I’ve spoken with them. After spilling numerous times on the sofa, finally had one that was a little tougher than a wet paper towel could get off. Was promptly given some care instructions and they took the extra step to email me some additional info! Can’t recommend them enough.

Randomly ran across this place this week, turned around and went in. Love it all! Very cool mix of styles - industrial, modern, mid century - and all the art work is from local Houston artists. The owner said she gets new stuff in every 2 weeks or so, so I’ll definitely be back in!!

Beautiful and artistic furniture. All refurbished or furniture made from upcycling. Post-modern design. I want everything in this shop. The staff is so approachable and kind especially the owner. I also love that you get a glass of prosecco as you look around and hopefully shop.

Incredibly poor service. While it looks like many others had positive experiences, we cannot say the same. Once we started having issues with our order, it was impossible to reach anyone or to have our questions answered. Do not plan to return and would not recommend.

Came in after some meetings in the middle of the day, walked around the whole floor looking at items, no one spoke to me despite me being the only customer in the store. The prices seemed reasonable for the quality. I prefer to be engaged as a customer.
