I'm from Guelph and needed a florist to prepare an arrangement for a funeral in Burlington. By chance, I picked Nelson Flowers because it was fairly close geographically to the funeral home. I tried to describe what I wanted, which can be very difficult by phone and especially when the parties don't know each other. I asked for something very atypical of a funeral, a bouquet of fresh-cut flowers consisting of roses, lilies, and other flowers at the florist's discretion in earthtone (fall) colours. No funeral-type sprays with gladiolas and carnations for me! I did not know what to expect given I could only verbally describe my wishes (no photos or graphics used). When I arrived at the funeral home, I couldn't believe how beautiful the bouquet was! It was all I had hoped for. The arrangement was gorgeous and so elegantly assembled - beyond my expectations. Sunny (apologies if I have the spelling wrong) captured exactly what I wanted. I was so proud to have my family's name on the card (which read exactly as I had dictated to Sunny). Everything was in very capable hands with Nelson Flowers. I would highly recommend them for your floral needs.

Stopped by Nelson's on a whim on my way to Terra last week. I was looking for some potted Christmas greenery to put outside the front doors of our Milton business. They didn't have exactly what I was looking for on hand, but they were very accommodating and offered to make up a custom order for pickup the following day, asked what my budget was....and they made it work!! The following day when I arrived to pick them up they were absolutely beautiful, and the owner (I forget his name) even helped load them in my truck in such a manner that they wouldn't topple over. VERY VERY pleased with the service and value received for what I paid. Will definitely be back again before I even think about a trip to Terra :-)

Corner of Guelph Line and Dundas. It has the word CONVENIENCE STORE on the outside. Don't let that fool you. This little place always has amazing flowers and arrangements. Whenever I have chosen hanging baskets from here or planters, the plants are healthy and seem to last longer than garden centres. In the fall great place to pick up pumpkins!! I would HIGHLY recommend you purchase your plants for the garden or want to a planter as a gift stop here. Parking lot is usually full, as other people know about this out of the way place too. Lots of stock.

I came across Nelson Flowers completely by accident a few months ago and it has quickly become my go-to florist. I have ordered numerous bouquets over the past few months for family members and friends and am always impressed with the prompt (and COVID safe) delivery I’m told they adhere to and the stunning and fresh arrangements they create. In fact, I just ordered an arrangement this morning and it was delivered within 3 hours of ordering - amazing! I also love that I am supporting a local, family-owned business.

Ordered online. Quality of flowers seems great, online payment and delivery were seamless, however, was disappointed with the QUANTITY of flowers. The number of flowers received was not even close to what was depicted online in the imagery. False advertising. Was not worth the money spent. Would have anticipated a nice full bouquet display. Very lacking on the miniature lavender carnations, white alstroemeria, and white chrysanthemums. (Product: TEV28-2A)

A fantastic place we have been going to for years. The family are amazing! So hard working. The prices and quality fantastic. We've "stopped" in last minute many times over the years for some of the most beautiful flowers. I used to stop in once a week to get flowers for my mom as her cancer became worse... They knew and truly cared, meant so much. She loved and looked forward to this. Thank you for being so good to your Community

Witnessed the owner yell and dismiss two customers this past week. His own incompetent non English speaking employees were to blame not the customers!? He doesn't care as he is making money from his over priced, quick dying plants. Doesn't respect clientele, parking is a mess, I almost got struck by oncoming traffic due to employees not directing traffic carefully. Will make sure to follow up with Burlington Parking control next.

I don’t like to judge a place on a busy day but I went to this store after I checked it’s rating- which is not accurate in my opinion (overrated) ... I got a good sized bouquet with unsatisfactory product. The lady who wrapped it had to try a couple of times before she finally was able to…. which again was a poor wrapping I know places can get busy and people get overwhelmed, but clearly that was not it.

It’s a lovely store! Wanted to shop locally, so we dropped in to shop for some gift houseplants, and we were not disappointed. Found a gorgeous monstera houseplant, and a perfect money tree, all in excellent condition, and at a reasonable price. The owners were especially helpful, and gave us advice on how to care for them that we’ll pass on to the recipients. Would definitely recommend this store!

I’ve bought lots of garden plants and Christmas greenery here but have never bought cut flowers here. Dropped by last minute this morning and had the most beautiful arrangement made for me, while I waited. Florist did an outstanding job and even prettied up a bottle of champagne with a bow that I was giving with the flowers. Fantastic service, fantastic pricing. Will definitely use them again!

Great florist. I always buy my seasonal planters (spring, summer, fall and winter) from them and the quality is impeccable, and the price is great to boot. Definitely worth the drive and you will realise why people swarm this place on the weekends despite it's inconvenient location. They are quite close to Terra and sell similar products, but are still really really busy.

I ordered flowers from Mother’s Day. I’m happy I went to pick up the flowers person, as they were not what was agreed to on the phone. They did however, make a new arrangement and apologized for the mistake. However, in my opinion they are overpriced for what is provided. While the service is good, the product is just okay, and I would recommend you visit somewhere else.

I buy mandevilla, and other plants there every year even I'm from Binbrook. Charlie is the best and he really take care of his customers. They are all very friendly staf and they have the best prices. Can't wait to get my mandevillas and more this year. Hopefully they will still have open due to covid19. The hydrangea that I bought from here wilted/died very fast. I bought hydrangeas from here and TERRA at the same time, planted both in the same area, and only the hydrangea from TERRA is doing great. The five hydrangeas I got from here started wilting the day after I got them. It’s unfortunate that I spent so much here for it to go to waste.

Delivery was on time, chocolates were great and flowers were very well arranged! However, some of the roses were in rough shape (can be forgiven, given it was Valentine's day) and there was a punctuation error on the card (not written exactly as provided). Overall, I'd recommend this place and will likely order again myself.

For the best prices for great quality plants and flowers this business is outstanding. The staff are kind, friendly and caring people. I enjoy supporting them and so glad they have managed to survive the past year. I no longer live in the area but visit family, a 3 hour drive. Waited to be able to get my plants from them.

Ordered flowers for my friends birthday from Nelson’s. Flowers were so gorgeous and it was really easy to order online! Staff were super friendly & accommodating when I called to arrange delivery and they were exactly on time with when they said they would be delivered! Dangerous parking situation. Shut down by the police today until further notice. Not safe, not socially distanced. Feel bad for the owners because customers are like vultures flocking to a rotting corpse with zero care for distancing or parking safely. It's a pity because they do have good prices and product.

Great prices. If you’re looking for some quality plants or flowers at an affordable price, I haven’t found anywhere else in Burlington but here. The staff are great and they have a wide selection to choose from. Looking forward to spring time to get my garden started with some hardy plants and flowers.

This is the best place we've found to buy flowers in Burlington. There is always a surprisingly fantastic selection of very healthy bedding plants and potted flowers to choose from. Early spring pansies potted with daffodils at $15/ea. Prices are very competitive. Highly recommend.

Not closed! Just need to call ahead and make appointment (evening only!). Worth the wait for the prices and variety. Frustrating, but they are so popular that they were "shut down" due to inadequate parking and Covid-19 protocols. New procedures in place now.

After 11 pm at night isn't the time to be running your leaf blower and cleaning your parking lot. May be I am your only neighbour that doesn't appreciate this. Better yet get a battery powered blower instead of your giant gas powered back pack blower .

Always great quality live goods at fair prices. Our go to spot for hanging baskets. One of our baskets broke this year and they helped me get a replacement so I could transplant it. The owners care and it shows. Would recommend.

Beautiful selection of flowers, great prices as well. They have a clearance section for flowers that need some love - so if you have a green thumb you can get your plants for cheap and bring them back to life!

We ordered flowers for Mother's Day. We were disappointed when we saw what we delivered compared to what we picked out. It was much smaller than anticipated. We will not be ordering from this florist again.

Wonderful garden centre with hundreds of bulbs and some hardy perennials. The staff help with parking and carts and easy safe payments. This place is unique all season too in my experience. Love it.

This place was a gem ten years ago. Now it’s over crowded and over priced. The quality has gone down. Potted flowers don’t last as long as they used to.
