My daughter purchased some trousers (and jacket) online from Urban Outfitters which turned up today. When she tried them on she noticed that the zip was broken and wouldn’t fasten. She rang to see if she could return the items to the Leicester store which we were told yes. She also asked if they had the same trousers in store and was told no. We drove into town to get them returned and get some different trousers. First thing my daughter noticed was the same trousers in the store. She found the same item and went to the counter. There was one blond woman behind the counter talking and talking to a friend not looking up once while we waited. Luckily a young man who worked there saw us and offered to help. He needed a bit of assistance with the return and politely tried to get her attention and make light of the fact that she was just talking. We explained the situation to her. She basically called us liars as all the tags and labels had been removed. We didn’t know what it should have on as that’s how they turned up in the post today. She wasn’t going to do anything as we had removed the labels - we hadn’t! My daughter got upset because she had spent £65 on faulty items and was also called a liar. I explained that the mail order side had also treated my daughter badly in the past and owed her money and she shouldn’t do business with them again. She got very offended by my complaint as I tried to explain that it wasn’t her, it was the mail order side. She said that as I was talking to her then I was having a go at her. The blond women then got all shirty with us and said she couldn’t deal with all this and walked off. The young man was very polite and calm and called the manager over who did her best to help. She said she would contact customer services on our behalf because it looks like these were faulty returned items sent out to us. We will wait and see if she phones them and us with a resolution. As for the blond woman - she is a waste of space and shouldn’t be working in a customer facing position!!! At the end of the day the zip was broken/faulty and Urban should replace them regardless as not fit for purpose. Gold star to the young man and the manager and wooden sh!tty stick for the blond woman! Judging by the other reviews they have also had problems with faulty items.
Usually have a good experience with the lovely staff, however today 3 staff members were having a conversation behind the tills and as i waited to see who was at which till or was even going to serve me, they carried on talking. When one finally stood near a till and said hello, they took my items and carried on talking to the other employees, he only looked back at me once to tell me the total. Just didn’t feel very welcoming. I hate to complain but when you’re stood waiting to spend quite a bit of money, you just expect a bit more attention.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. Honestly awful customer service, the workers seemed oblivious to any task presented. I’m in disbelief to the condescending attitudes from the workers there, also considering the items are not cheap I would expect at a minimum, decent customer service. In addition I was told it was my own problem for not spotting faults in the item I bought, and without any professional explanation as to why they couldn’t return the item, so I will personally not return to the store while incompetent workers are there.
Nice shop but poor customer service. They sold my young daughter a broken small pottery for £9. It was marked as damaged and was unusable as it was supposed to be used for microwave. It shouldn't have been on sale at all. When I visited the shop a few days later to exchange the broken version for an unbroken version and offered to pay the difference between the 2, the shop refused to help. I had to buy the new item again - which by then was on sale for £5 - 1/2 the price of the broken one. Exchange or refund were refused.

This is a message I sent to the urban outfitters Leicester store directly...let’s see if they respond now I’ve had to post it somewhere more visible.. Hello, I visited your store today. Whilst I was in the changing room one of your male employees unlocked the door and walked in on me changing. I was very distressed at the time, so left the store very quickly. I felt the need to say something as I wouldn’t want this to happen again or to somebody else.
The worst customer service I’ve ever received. I was sold a faulty item and went back to the store for an exchange or refund and was refused, I was basically told it was my own fault for not realising it was faulty before buying and even the worker who served me when buying the item. The workers have no social skills and are extremely condescending, I work in retail myself and was shocked at the behaviour I received.
Really badly run. Huge queue and waited over 30 mins for changing rooms, clothes poorly made, hardly any seating whilst waiting for others to try on and the seating that’s there is taken up as the queue to try on takes so long. Badly laid out, looks like a jumble shop. Won’t be returning.
Always a nice shop to go into, two floors so quite a lot of choice. The entrance is from inside the shopping centre next to it, not the door you see outside on the street. They have a photobooth inside too which is nice, although wasn't working on this occasion.
Worst customer services department I have ever come across. No phone number, email responses are slow and no progress, have dealt with 3 different advisors, none have resolved the problem of damaged furniture that was deli a month ago ☹️
Ordered some trainers from urban outfitters. When the product arrived the box was completely battered (may be the couriers fault) but the trainers didnt fit so a return was created and sent. A month later i have still not received my
I can get all this stuff in a charity shop for less than 1/4 of the price or I can make it by hand for practically nothing. Great if you like over priced and mass produced clothes that pretend to be individual.
WORST company to deal with never got my parcel delivered at the cllick& collect location upon contacting this awful company was told to do all the investigations myself To where the parcel is??? AWFUl
Hi it's me again Sue . All l when in for was to see if they add some nice trousers for my partner so l really did not take much notice the staff was not that nice ok☹️. Yours truly Sue . …
There's quite a range of products from clothes to tiny cacti. It's definitely quite a quirky shop, although the only slight issue is the sizes aren't very inclusive.
I'm a visual merchandiser and this place always impresses me with it's layout, original visual designs and use of props to accentuate the urban atmosphere.
Beloved by teenagers. Feared by parents' credit cards. Get yourself to a charity shop and save a few quid. Some good reductions in sales.
Unhelpful staff. Good selection of clothes. The homeware section is very small. Parking in the high cross. Late night opening hours.
One thing I like about this shop is the lovey girls that work there, very pleasant, helpful and a great service. Thanks …
Really rude staff. The woman threatened us before they closed shouting at us while in the shop. Disgusting management.
Plenty of choice, prices not to high but a bit messy, clothes on the floor and all mixed up.
Like the stuff in here, but my waist doesn't very friendly n helpful staff …
A good place for young people...some good quality stuff.. probably a bit expensive...
Store online opening times 9:30am. Waiting outside for half an hour. Unacceptable
Shop ok. Don't give email address for receipt though or you'll drown under spam
Good varied selection of modern clothing, not cheap, but what is these days....
The only thing that is good sometimes is the music they play in the shop.
A very good place to shop for designer clothes and the latest fashion.
Things were all over the place , very expensive. Very disorganised.
