I GAVE IT TWO STARS BECAUSE THERE'S TRASH ON THE PLAYGROUND, THE PORTABLE BATHROOM TOILET IS NOT CLEAN AT ALL. BUT I DID SEE THE OTHER DAY SOMEONE COME PICK UP TRASH AROUND THE PARK AND DUMP THE CANS. MY KIDS ATTEND THIS PARK ALMOST EVERY DAY BECAUSE THEY'RE IN LOVE WITH THE NATURE WALKS
Playground
THE PLAYGROUND HAS SHADES OVER IT WHICH MAKES IT EASY FOR THE TO ENJOY THEIR PLAY TIME WITH THE SUN BEAMING DIRECTLY ON THEM
Restrooms
THE PORTABLE RESTROOM IS BEYOND FILTH ..MAYBE BECAUSE THERE'S ALOT OF HOMELESSNESS AROUND THE AREA.

Had to be in Nashville for errands & Googled parks nearby. Could not be happier with this find! Had all the playground equipment the kids wanted, shade to cool off when needed & oh my Goodness, BEAUTIFUL walking trails! Kids decided they wanted to "hunt seashells'' before we left. Absolutely loved this park! Will return if we are in the area again!

Short for walking but it works and trash at no good this needs to be clean up play grounds area's is great for children. Also one side of the Greenway park has toilet but it's not good nasty broken the other side of ️ has no bathroom it needs one also the clean up looking great I need a toilet at wimpole side parking area. …

There's a pretty standard playground set with some swings and slides and monkey bars. There's also a greenway trailhead here. What I'm not crazy about is that it's a pretty narrow park with a road running not far from the equipment. It's not a heavily-used road but it's still enough to always make me a little nervous.

Quiet little park featuring a Greenway for walking. animals like squirrels are abundant and fun to watch, Mill Creek is a stones throw away fishing is ok but don't recommend eating the fish. plenty parking of parking is available
Playground
Large play area with soft ground and a huge juñgle gym

I am so sad to see what I saw today. I was looking for a paved pathway to walk my dogs on today, since the water has been so high. Lots of mud everywhere. But the storms really did a number on this area. Looks like they may be starting a clean up! Would love to help out if possible!

  • c.e. mcawsom (Cat McAwsom)

Lovely! Well kept, grass along paved trail mowed short (no snake concerns, minimizes ticks), informative signs re: local ecology (learned about Riparian barriers), lots of intermittent shade. Small but nice. Bags for poop & trashcan available, a few benches along the 3/4 mile path.

  • Niladri Jyoti

It is a small park with a kids play area, a shade with picnic benches and a track for walking/jogging/biking. A serpentine creek (Mill Creek) flows around it. There is a small bridge that takes you across the creek towards the other part of the walking/jogging track.

  • Anthony Elizondo

This Park was very clean. It also has an area to grill and a big play area for kids. The walking trails are nice as well. One runs over a creek that you can actually walk down to. I wouldn't swim there but it's very serene and beautiful. Definitely going back.

  • Veronica Martinez

Awesome little park. Dog-friendly with trash cans & bag dispensers. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the bridge was out of commission, which was a tad disappointing, but the walk was fun nonetheless! Will definitely be coming back.

  • John D

A nice little walking trail is surrounded by plenty of greenery and provides a refreshing breath of fresh air. However, the only downside is that there is some noise from the nearby highway. Overall, it's a decent trail

It is somewhat small. There is one traffic road crossing the park, and it may be a little risky for people crossing the traffic road without any attention. Other than that, it is a good place to walk.

  • Clint Shields

This place is great for the kids. Usually ain't crowded. So most time you get to have most the place to yourself and family. Plus this place had a beautiful walking trail. You will love the it there.

  • alex bonick

This is a perfect little park. Just enough trail to run, walk or bike. It has a community garden at one end and a giant playground at the other for the kids. Plenty of shade and a very scenic creek!

  • Lori Turner

I lived on Old Glenrose ave so I actually watched them build this park, in the beginning there were racoons, and coyotes, and ground hogs that lived there but they had to find a new habitat.....

Whitsett Park is typically a nice, safe place for adults and children to enjoy outdoor activities- especially during this pandemic. But, unfortunately the temporary porta Johns

Love the walking trails. The playground is great for small kids and is always busy. They need to complete the trail system to catch up to the future state on the maps.

  • Trey Nicholson

Loved it! They have a beautiful neighborhood you can drive through. Park and then ho on a trail to get to the park! It was so amazingly beautiful and peaceful!

  • Lance Young

A short Greenway great for walking and short jogs. Also area for children. There is also access for canoes/kayaks if you want to risk an urban Creek trip.

Good playground. All I need for my boys 1 and 2 years old. Safe soft floor. Parking. Not too busy morning and day time. Sometimes coming ice cream truck.
