Personally, I don’t trust any other vet for my birds. Since Dr. Dustin and now Dr. Marcucci, I’ve always had good outcomes with my birds. It can be expensive but I don’t think that’s any different from anywhere else. Healthcare is expensive for animals and humans. I appreciate it their expertise.
They have helped me with my old bird. They helped me prolong his life a whole year. This most recent visit was for my recently adopted bird for a basic check up. My new bird is not hand tame yet and they handled him as the pros they are. Never once was I concerned he'd fly away.
I have been bringing my birds to Bay Area Bird Hospital for over 20 years. They are fantastic and I really believe they have saved my birds' lives on several occasions. They really care about their patients and I know my birds will get the very best care available.
I had a very bad experience with this place. The emergency room told me to go here when my bird had a bleeding beak (literally blood drops coming out of it due to a fracture). The person on the phone told me to go back to the emergency room
I understand that it's hard to find an exotics vet, but keep looking. Seriously, this is not the vet for you. Many reviews state that Bay Area Bird won't see your pet in the event of an emergency. We read those reviews and thought they were
In 2014 my Dusty headed conure was attended to by veterinarian Dr. Dustin it was my first visit. My bird was not well and I was referred to go to Bay Area Bird because my regular veterinarians at All Pets Hospital was all out. It was at Bay
My little Green Cheek Conure couldn't bear weight on her little left feet after a fall. I was having the hardest time, sleepless night after failed to find an emergency pet hospital that care for avian on the weekend. I called all possible
I feel that my four Guinea pigs have been in great hands with Dr. Marcucci. She comes off as very experienced with small mammals which put me at ease when I took all my girls to her for first time well checks. I opted to move forward with
I Highly DO NOT Recommend Dr. MARCUCCI if your pet is a Bearded Dragon. I originally went to see this doctor because my Beardie wasn't really eating much and I felt he was having shedding issues. After being seen by the doctor, since the
The Bay Area Bird Hospital is very well equipped and adequately staffed with knowledgeable workers. They were very kind and did what they could for my poor bird, and were sympathetic when he could not be saved. They explained to me what
I was very pleased with Dr. Marcucci and the team. As soon as I walked in, the person at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Marcucci was very attentive and thorough when examining my budgie, Ringo, eventually sending us
Dr. Marcucci is the worst vet I have ever had to deal with. She clearly does not care about the animals but rather how much money she can get from you. She was rude, talks down to you, roughly handled my bird, even taped his broken leg
I have had the best experiences with every person at Bay Area Bird Hospital. They have treated my cockatiel Linus, a parakeet Sophie and my cockatiel Rocky. The care they gave my birds was always kind, caring and gentle. I brought some
I think the Bay Area is lucky to have vets that treat animals that others don't handle. If it's not a dog or cat forget it. They treated my chicken with care but we went past the point of no return. They kept saying bring her in, they
When my cockatiel got sick, we took him to Bay Area Bird Hospital. I had a bad feeling about this place since the moment I walked in. The receptionist was incredibly rude and talked to people like they were idiots. Then, when I had an
The Veterinarian staff here are beautiful and compassionate people we had the misfortune of having to put a pet down and I could not have asked for a better experience even though putting an animal down is the worst feeling ever. They
Awful. I have a small pet, sick and congested, even waking me up in the middle of the night. Thought I'd give them a call. Receptionist has a "don't really want to talk" attitude. Nasal, grumpy voice, like "I'm unhappy, deal with it."
Please read all the reviews here about this place before you take your beloved birds here. They are incredibly rude, Glenn the male receptionist was also incredibly rude to me. Getting snippy and disrespectful for merely asking simple
I don't recommend Bay Area Bird Hospital. This is what happened: I brought my Guinea pig to AIMS Emergency Hospital which they treated him and kept him alive with heart medicine, oxygen, heating blanket to get his temperature up, IV
Staff is incredibly friendly, empathetic and knowledgeable. Very happy they were able to take care of my Guinea pig, when we needed it the most. With the shortage of exotic vets, I was feeling helpless and sad for my furry baby.
Dr Dustin is the best. Both Pepper and Loki get their check-ups, nail and wing trims there. She saved my bird Killer a long time ago and had I taken him back to her when he wasn't feeling well he would probably still be with us.
Dr. Dustin was really good both with handling our bird and the wealth of knowledge she had. We had a lot of questions as first time bird owners. She not only answered all of them but helped us answer ones we didn't think of.
- Provides appropriate care and guidance during our appointment, I believe the care provided was what another vet would also provide. (Not a hamster specialist but there aren't any in SF)
Glenn the receptionist was rude about an inquiries on 1. how long in advance to make an appointment 2. whether or not they have the staff able perform a specific procedure on my
Absolutely wonderful! Dr. Marcucci is professional thorough very friendly. I as well as my three guinea pigs were very safe and taken care of very well. We're thankful!
A knowledgeable staff. A pleasant and productive experience. My macaw is quite comfortable and safe on my shoulder, but be sure to bring your angel in a carrier.
My feather baby Coco has been a patient here for the last 2 years and I'm very happy with his/ her care The staff is kind and friendly.
I give this place 3 out of 5. The bay area bird hospital is in a convenient location and easy to find. It is very clean too.
I went to this place in March 2023 they were honest and took care of my budgie.
Took my guinea pig in, staff, vets and assistants are all very nice and sweet
