"Had an awful experience with one staff member"
Avoid if you can. Expensive, unfriendly, food is disgusting, coffee bad. One star is generous. Sadly due to limited options places like this will always get tourists and passengers being lured, but really there is no reason to spend your money there, unless you are desperate and want to get that $9 awful tasting coffee served by staff that is very unhappy to be working there. Food is expensive and questionable quality, takes a long time to prepare.

Imagine spending a week in Tasmania eating some of the best food in the world and you end up at the airport content with life and you decide to order from here…. Firstly staff tried to short change us then couldn’t manage to work it out, the pints are all flat a tasteless. Ordered the ‘cascade burger’ I’ve never in my life seen or tasted something so vile and disgusting in my entire life and I’m from the north of England, it’s not even meat, it was soggy/sweaty at the same time, I wouldn’t feed to to my worst enemy. Don’t eat her and save yourself a fortune, the place needs shutting down, absolute embarrassment to Tasmania.

I know it's an airport but it's rude when the display food looks so good and a good size too. But what you get makes you feel ripped off. The roast beef baguette looked pretty good in the window. But what we got was barely enough to wet the bottom of the tank. One little roll of roast beef in a baguette and a thin lick of chimmichurri, for $14.50. Beers are $15 each and wines are the same. No table service. It's a shame that places like this abuse their monopoly here, such a stunning place with some of the best food around and this is the last thing we taste before leaving. Shameful.

What a lying joke. The menu states “from $11” for a gin. But they charge you $16 plus card fee. So I guess I’m paying $5 for the 60ml of soda that goes with it……. The joys of a monopoly means they can be dodgy. Staff are useless too. Had to tell them to put ice in my glass. And also remind them I ordered gin not vodka as he was about to pour it. Clearly the owners don’t care. Next time I’ll sneak a travel gin bottle and just order a soda. These guys don’t deserve the business they have. Just watched them say no to a customer ordering a Pinot Gris. “You can have a white wine”.
Had an awful experience with one staff member. Middle Eastern male server ignored me did not speak a word to me just looked blankly I was very friendly and asked for a wine he didn't ask what size and charged for the large size literally poured my drink and shoved the eftpos machine at me no hello thank you or goodbye. I felt so upset. if it wasn't the only bar ar the airport I'd have not bothered. Such a shame as he is representing cascades and hobart as a whole being in airport. Will not go back

food was very average. ordered four meals, confirmed with the guy serving me the four meals i ordered, and they somehow forgot one of the meals. got a chunky beef and stout pie with peas and chips. didn't come with peas, you could get a better pie at any servo and the chips were cold and soggy with very little salt. i took it back and they let me swap it for a burger. the burger didn't come with bacon or sauce like it said on the menu. customer service was very average. don't recommend eating here
Service is sub standard. Ordered a Vodka Tonic and got one with Flat Tonic Water from a Schweppes bottle apparently opening in the morning. It was now evening. Complained and got another one, also rubbish. In addtion to this I now find my credit card has be charged TWICE when I only had one drink. Shocking Service and theft. If your advertising as premium and great service you need to deliver on it! Obviously there is only one Tonic Water now worth providing. Fever Tree = Quality.
It is what it is, airports are a captured customer base, the prices are no doubt in line with rent paid, and also, understanding that at times the terminals may be way less busy than a normal street front business. The coffee was great, the burger was just fine! Charging ports, a comfy seat.

Slow and not organized. Not suggested for the ones who seek for proper service. They have an online ordering qr code system in place which texts you when to pick up. But you'll get a buzzer instead when you approch after the pickup text comes in expecting that you'll be picking up your meal. They even ask what beer you've ordered which the system should tell. Useless system and hopeless process.
Waited 15 minutes in line and then another 20 minutes for a ham and cheese croissant to be toasted (the first was left on the toaster and burnt). Staff stood around having a chat and one complained of being sick and coughing into hands without mask on and then continued to serve customers without washing hands or putting mask on. I’d be unhappy to be associated if I was cascade brewery.
The food here is terrible! I ordered smoked salmon bagel the bread is really hard and the smoked salmon is dry (no cream cheese at all) ... I had to send back the food and replace it with something else. So I ordered croissant thinking maybe it’s better but same thing happen the croissant is old and dry. I don’t understand why they’re still selling it.
Edit. This bar use the same kitchen & same chef with LivEat. Just go here for a faster service same dish and cheaper price. Waited 30 min+ for food. Portion wise is small. I get that photo is for illustration but the photo and real life product is so different. Cost is on the PREMIUM side but failure in delivering premium products. Not value for money.
Two stars goes for the unfriendly and rude staff, specially who is taking orders, it’s not fair to put it on customer if you’re having a bad day or is just busy (Not an unfriendly face anyone would wanna see early morning when they are travelling happily). For the coffee and banana bread I would give 5 stars!
Just by bought a baguette from here and asked for it to be lightly toasted, it was in there so long it was as flat as a pancake. Then when I ate it there was hardly anything inside. I thought $14 was expensive for a baguette, but then to be served a flattened baguette with hardly anything in it is not ideal.
Batista poured hot milk in an ‘iced latte’ . Management should put experienced and joyful people on service since it’s an airport and is a shame to end all national and international tourist and peoples journey with bad service and bad experience.

Terrible food & overpriced. Don’t waste your money here! Chunky beef & stout pie looked like one from a service station for $23.50! The falafel burger was 2 cold patties with minuscule amount of avocado. They are clearly taking advantage of people as there is limited competition unfortunately.
Visited during the busy Easter season, the airport was packed with very few tables. Despite this, we waited 5 minutes in line, the staff were professional, we had two warm pepper beef pies that were nice and a couple bucks more than a standard pie - but that’s airports for you.
Well I note all the negative reviews but everything was great when I was here! I was on a Virgin Australia flight, so had no lounge access…. Pulled up at a bench, plugged in a laptop, ordered a beverage and worked away!!! I didn’t eat food but note there is a food menu.
Only ok. Waited to get something from the cafe for about 5 minutes... Only 2 staff on which needs to be more. Got my order wrong when they repeated it to me. Then they charged me 2 transactions as they only put $2 through and then had to do another $20. Food was ok.
I have never had beef nachos with meatballs and tomatoe sauce before... this place is outrageously over priced, $53 for a $14 bottle of wine, and nachos that was a meatball sub on corn chips

Way too expensive, yet noted this is airport so give 3 star. A fish and chip plus a drink is $36 plus surcharge for all contactless payment. The fish and chips are ok but no service, you got to bring your food and drink and find your own table.
Came here for a glass of wine and a bite to eat before my flight. Had a good range of beers and wines, with a tassie focus. Being Cascade, the beer range is heavily brand focused. Staff were friendly, and decor was nice and modern.
Got $9 "roasted smoked paprika cashews" for a snack. After a 10 min wait, was delivered some dripping wet soggy cold cashews in a tiny bowl.. my god at least heat them if you are going to smother them in vile liquid..
International Airports put a certain expectation in your mind on food and drink options. HBA always brings you back down to earth.

I never write bad reviews, and I’ve happily tolerated bad customer service many times, but the service here, particularly with one employee, was so horribly rude I cancelled my order.
Terrible end to beautiful food lovers Tassie. Imported cider, hardly any local food and drink alternatives, run down, lack lustre staff, menu items missing. Cheeseburger was very good
Hi. Had 2 cups of coffee on the 1st April @5 pm. We were totally disappointed. Both were warm. I was looking forward to a hot cup, after a long day. How disappointed we were.
Avoid at all costs. Staff very rude before you order. As a result I took my 6 children and wife to another establishment. As a frequent traveler, will avoid at all costs.
After checking my bank statement I found I was charged $24.20 for one glass of average pinot noir. Really Makes Lonnie airport look world class by comparison.
Average over priced food and beers. Airport cuisine 101. Be nice if Hobart airport had another decent option but it doesn't. Staff were nice tho.
Great bar with awesome friendly lovely barman ! He helped me through my alcohol addiction selection ~ more good things in Tassie …

Unable to sell food and beer without queueing at 2 tills, I don't think they understand bar 'and' cafe! Also gave the wrong pies
Most disgusting burger i have ever eaten , actually i couldn't even eat it i just tasted it. I would give no stars if I could

Strong coffee, bit expensive, but that’s airports for you. Ignore the grouchy reviews below, place is decent
Ordered a cheese, tomato, basil baguette, and there was no basil. Literally 1/4 of the ingredients …
Not all parts of meal showed up on the plate as advertised. We won’t eat at this place again.
Staff were rude, my order seemed like a real inconvenience to the lady serving me
I would have not ordered coffee if I knew they don’t wash milk jars!!!!!!!!!
Please stop selling butter chicken. It's very expensive and tasteless
Just save your money unless you are really really hungry
Very rude staff would not go back due to this fact
Cold service.
