"I parked my motorcycle in the parking lot for a day"
"Not the largest shopping centre but it has some nice food, coffee, clothing and other shops"
"After walking around the block to find the main entrance I discovered a second doorway opening right into the Centrepoint car park! Spotlight has become my new favourite store, such a selection of doonas, pillows, sheets and pillowcases! Crockery, cutlery and stylish soft furnishings, a homemaker's delight! Pleasant, helpful staff and members' discount on top of reasonable prices and such quality as you' expect to find in the higher-priced department stores!"
"Good place for gifts and shopping"
"What a dump! Give the place a makeover! There is nothing inviting about wanting to shop there"
I parked my motorcycle in the parking lot for a day. The closing time of the parking lot is 5:10 p.m., but I went to the staff before 5:00 to pay 8 dollars for motorcycle parking, but was rejected by the staff who closed the door. He refused in a very bad tone and abused me for not paying the fee, and asked me to pay the parking fee of 23 dollars for the car. I think the service attitude is extremely poor and very unreasonable! It is very unfair to motorcycle riders if you have to pay the full fare for the car!
Not the largest shopping centre but it has some nice food, coffee, clothing and other shops. Not heaps of seating when you want to eat, but it's generally not too busy. Cleaners are pretty active and do a good job to keep the area clean. Jill definitely deserves a shoutout as she was working very hard to keep the tables clean. Went above and beyond for us by running to get us extra chairs for our table and being very helpful. I'd recommend trying out Shoebox Cafe. Very recently opened and the food was great.

Good place for gifts and shopping. Nice book store and the bodyshop has heaps of soaps, hair stuff and skin care products. There is an ABC shop here as well with a good DVD and blue ray selection. Food places not always open but plenty of choices nearby. Easy access to car parking and a well stocked newsagency. Don't expect all food options to be open on weekends. There is also a Laura Ashley store here with some quality clothes and house fittings.
What a dump! Give the place a makeover! There is nothing inviting about wanting to shop there. You run in and visit the few particular stores you have to and then you run out! Owners of Centrepoint, spend some money and give the place a revamp! It's an embarrassment! Especially if someone from Sydney came down and expected to find something similar to the one there.
Everything in one place. Not exactly. What you find is high quality, shoes and clothing stores such as Laura Ashley. If your after runners and gym wear then Rebel is the 'place' to go. A shoe to fit all sizes. Plenty of eateries, a bakery and atm's to assist you in your purchases. The arcade is opposite Myer with ease of access to the cat and fidfle arcade.
I had the privilege of selling daffodils, key rings etc for the Cancer Council in memory of a dear friend who recently passed away from cancer - I say privilege because NOT 1 person refused to come & have a look at our flowers etc while NOT everyone could buy something they were all quite happy to make a positive comment about us being there
I've always preferred the atmosphere in this arcade to the iconic one opposite. Centrepoint doesn't have the selection that Cat & Fiddle has, but there are café s, bookshops and shoe shops that are worth a visit! It's never felt too crowded or loud, the layout just seems very nice despite the miniature size of the centre.
Loved it. Coming from Port Sorell/Devonport area, I had a ball shopping here. I was also impressed that the staff in most of the the shops asked me if I had checked in as I notice up here they are just letting people not bother. Well done for keeping us safe. Staff all very helpful and friendly.
I have an issue with my right arm and shoulder, but the car park here is great as I can reach without discomfort. Went to Island Optical and was very well looked after by all staff, very professional and friendly, a go to for your glasses and eye tests.
Love this newsagent in Centrepoint it is stocked with the most beautiful range for Christmas that i have ever seen and the staff /owners are very helpful polite and always willing to go the extra distance if you need it their range of cards excellent
Had a buffet lunch which just meant as much as you could fit on one plate for 12 dollars which is cheap not much choice was mostly basic Chinese dishes and some salad friend had an omelet which took nearly 30 minutes to arrive which is a bit much
It's tired and needs a facelift and more diverse shops more greenery something other than what it is its drab and lacking not enticing enough for a major centre make it fun and different where people want to spend time in not just pass through
Easy and convenient parking and close to everything, with plenty of choices. Great sit down eating area, with some lovely food outlets and rest rooms conveniently positioned... great pit stop after a shopping trip or to simply meet up
One of the Top Rated shopping Plaza in Hobart packed with renowned brands and Retail shops, like Intersports, book shop, bitcurious, micheal hills, news agents, Mytouch phone Nd Laptop Repairs and best food court area.
It's a shopping centre. With a car park behind it. Watch out for the rainfall if you go to leave across Murray Street, the front awning is known to be a little generous with its donations to the downpour....
Main indoor shopping center of downtown Hobart. Nothing special in terms of stores, but likely the best place to go in downtown if it rains. Store directory on the website available in the top right menu.
Centrepoint is an excellent shopping mall it has all everything that you need including supermarkets food court and whatnot if your Hobart I would most definitely recommend to come here
Centrepoint is a nice place to stop and get something to eat ..or to just wander through at leisure to see what bargains may be had at some of the beautiful shops that are there
One of the best parent bathrooms in Hobart if you have a little one. Clean, spacious and perfect amenities. Shopping centre is clean and great events on a regular basis.
In the heart of the city it offers heart parking and a multitude of shops to choose from, books, videos, designer clothes, sporting goods, food, great coffee and more!
The shopping building is outdated, small corridors and uncomfortable to navigate. In the Carpark you have to go all the way up to turn around. Rebuild the old thing.
To be honest, Centrepoint isn't as good as it was in its heyday in the 1980s/early 1990s but it's still a delight and is unquestionably the beating heart of Hobart.
The whole area has much to offer. The history, the buildings, the people, the street art and then there are the shops full of everything you need and then some.
Just like your any other shopping centres. The photos were taken outside which were more interesting, similar to the alley ways of Melbourne only smells better.
Nothing special, but if you need something and you're in town anyway, it will do the trick. Bit of a rabbit warren filled with hobart's undesirables really.
Great shopping , I didn't realise how much Hobart actually had it was fun walking through and just browsing ...lots of good smelling coffee as well …
Great place for shopping manny choices, good food options up stairs and down, can just go their to relax at a table with a coffee after a day of shopping.
Public holidays and Sundays a lot of stores are closed. It feels very Melbournish which some may like but I don't think it's something Hobart should copy.
Looking sadly depressed and in need of some serious love. It's big sister across the road - Cat & Fiddle - makes Centrepoint look depressingly drab.
My favourite place to shop, have lunch and browse, with easy parking. However, the Hobart Council has reduced free parking time to just one hour.
Great food and artisan gelato with very good service, a nice little collection of shops including the book shop Dymocks, excellent parenting room
Mostly this is just a small food court with a multi storey car park on top. You'll most likely walk through here on your way to something else.
Not a great range of shops but it is clean, tidy and easy to access. The car park here is my preferred place to park when visiting the city.
Most of what you need is here,Clothing,Jewelry, Food Courts,Newsagent's ect, parking available,Disabled Access, all entrances,Clothing ect..
Good mix of shops and eateries. Includes toilets and baby change/feeding area and car park on top of building. Good base to explore City.
Awesome place to stop and have a coffee and some cake also the cleaners do an amazing job at keeping it up to standard ⭐ …
Very accessible but often dirty. I wonder how often the toilets are cleaned due to how often they are left in a horrible condition.
Free parking & access to so many lovely shops. The Stocking Shop for example, Dymocks bookstore, florist & lovely coffee available.
While smaller than the Cat & Fiddle and needing a revamp, Centrepoint still houses some of the more interesting stores in Hobart.
Please support the cafes at lunchtime and or take home a meal too!!! I purchased a gift x2 and had time to stroll around!!!
I love shopping at Centrepoint because there are many and varied shops for choice. Highly recommend going there for a look.
Went in to centrepoint to buy shoes. Disappointed as unable to buy any at one my favourite shops. Found some elsewhere.
Central modern shopping centre with range of speciality shops and places to relax over a coffee or tea and bite to eat.
Nice little shopping centre with some great shops. Excellent book shop, clothes, shoes, accessories etc. Worth a look.
First time at Centrepoint and I was actually kind of disappointed. To be fair we didn't go over to the Cat & Fiddle.
Funny place, first visit and it felt like an old time mall from the 80s... Quite nice in some ways, very quaint.
Narrow range of shops, but lots of parking - good place to park as a gateway to the city shopping precinct.
Free car park for the first hour, a lot of shops in there. Should go check it out or just window shopping.
Average mall foe shopping. Same ol same ol. Food nice in the middle. Good restaurant upstairs as well.
A good composite of various internal stores link in the parking centre.in the inner city of Hobart ..
Best Coffee at Kornet! Lots of seating available. Convenient toilets, parking and good shopping.
It's pretty good but the shops aren't original but that's ok it still has everything you'll need
Easy to park and access all in one central building. Only a short walk to most other shops too.
Talk about the impact of Covid on retailers in the CBD. It was like an abandoned site, so sad.
Needs less old ladies clothes stores. Needs more pop culture and needs a Supercheap or a Repco
Mall is old and needs an upgrade. Occasional beggar sitting outside by the front of the mall.
Plenty of shops and easy to walk through..Nice and clean..Easy to get to other shops in town.
Nice small shopping precinct . The Dymocks bookstore is excellent. Some great eateries here.
Was good, we went in for Santa photos. was great, easy parking, barely any lining up.
Nice place for shopping with 90 mins free parking. Good place to have coffee as well.
Hard to get into car park. Restaurant is so so crowded. Difficult to source good food
Multi storey car park conveniently in the city centre, with arange of specialty shops
Good selection of shops, mainly clothes stores in the second level which works well
Mainly full of womens clothing and shoe shops. Has Dymocks and a good perfume shop.
Good mix of shops, love the nut and lolly shop. Busy but room to move . Seating.
Great place to park, good toilets and more shops than you can poke a stick at.
Great little mall. Some good shops. Few good shops in surrounding streets too!
That was quite a quiet place to do last minute shopping and Dymocks is awesome
Clean and tidy. Car park is a bit average. Lots of shops to suit most people.
A wide variety of small outlets make this an interesting shopping experience.
Bit of everything you can find there. Food, shopping and even nail treatment.
Good variety of shops of which Laura Ashley and Dymocks are my two favourites
Great coffee. Free parking for 60 minutes while you shop. May be 90 minutes.
I went to four seasons Chinese restaurant and it was beautiful best Chinese
New shops, empty shops. Some welcoming others indifferent. Parking is easy.
Not much shops and brands inside but it does have warm n welcoming feeling.
Variety of small well equipped shops. A very pleasant shopping experience
Cool vibe, there's a really good shop that sells freshly ground coffee.
Lovely shops, and great coffee upstairs. Open plan easy to move around.
Lovely place to shop or just sit and have a coffee or something to eat.
Good selection of shops, small but pleasant food court, clean toilets.
Excellent car park, though must admit I skip the shopping complex.
Great place with good variety of shops and lots of nice people.
Great to have a coffee out of the hustle and bustle of the city
Small number of shops, though u can find a good coffee here
Great to have a good selection of shops in a small area.
Lots of great shops with a large variety of items to buy
Lovely and quite place with good eats and best shopping
Great shopping centre. With lovely staff in each stall
Has a few great shops strange layout but overall ok
A very clean place to do all your shopping everyday
Beautiful shops, real coffee and great atmosphere.
Great shops, clean and easy access to facilities.
Getting better. The new sushi bar is EXCELLENT!!!
Aged shopping mall, not that many shops or cafes
Very easy to get a park plenty of room to shop
It is an arcade! Clean and still pretty good.
Needs livening up a bit. A functional place.
